A corollary of #IOKIYAR is the left’s constant tendency to automatically construct the actions people will take to benefit Republicans rather than sticking to opposing them.

No argument there - I’ve been saying for ages that Dems should listen to George Lakeoff (and others with similar views) and shout their own framing from the rooftops, no matter how much the bad-faith GOPers and their MSM enablers try to squelch it. Instead, they have a nasty habit of folding like cheap lawn chairs the minute they’re faced with faux indignation from the usual suspects.

And of course there’s always the option (now more than ever) of bypassing the beltway MSM filter and fighting fire with fire (e.g. targeted social media campaigns, etc). Ted Lieu and John Dingell are some great examples of Dems who use Twitter effectively to get the Dem message out.
