From the article:

The UK is too busy shooting itself in the foot as a result of the Murdoch lead news ginning up the Olds (much like here) and some internal folks (all having the same Russian connections).

If the UK continued in its path of brexit, it will likely fall for decades if not generations. And they are apparently too stupid to realize or admit.

Not sure it’s so much a matter of “stupid” so much as “shortsighted”: nationalism is a helluva drug, and the Brits, by and large, have been mainlining the stuff for centuries. Their main problem is their post-Brexit economic strategy seems to be predicated on an international order being what it was in about 1910, and the Plucky British Bulldog Standing Up To The Blitz attitude is likely to have (very) little effect in the world economy of the 21st Century. Of course, it gives the mouthbreather rubes a thrill (I read recently that MPs are still getting letters from their constituents bitching about why “those foreigners” haven’t all been chucked out yet), but probably isn’t going to cut it as geopolitical strategy….
