Many years ago, when I was a kid, my parents gave me a pellet gun. One day I was out in the backyard shooting at targets against a hill (our backyard was a 45 degree slope).

Then I heard a cop on the hill behind me tell me to drop the weapon. My neighbors had called the cops on me because we didn’t get along. It all came to nothing because I was doing nothing wrong.

A black kid doing that today would have been gunned down, no doubt about it.

Makes me think of Tamir Rice or that man in the WalMart.
