I didn’t know the story of the battle of Castle Itter at the very end of WW2. That would make a movie!

I’ve posted about it here before. It’s one of my favorite stories of WWII. It was the only time the US Army and Wehrmacht fought together against a common foe - the SS. It was a true tragedy that Major Gangl died during the battle.
