I think their belief that New Yorkers will turn on the government is totally wrong. They forget how much immigration is part of the state’s identity.

As usual, this harassment will have the opposite effect of what is intended. New Yorkers will get pissed at the Federal agencies. Not their city. Or state. This stuff always backfires.
