Given past incidents like this, I imagine his defense at trial is gonna be that the video doesn’t show how Floyd was a “scary black man” with berserker strength and nigh invulnerability. He’ll just say some variation of “I felt he was a danger to me/others” and the jury will be instructed that so long as that “feeling” existed, the law says it’s “self-defense” and any actions taken totally legal because he’s a cop.

And I realize Dallas is not the rest of the country, but they have convicted the last two cops put on trial for killing someone.
