There’s probably a special word for the desk drawer where you keep your empanadas.

I wish our language was as wonderfully versatile as say German and Spanish. My SiL and her family like to tease my brother on how poor his Spanish is but they do appreciate that he tries. It was really cool because his brother in law was with at a baseball game. He’s from El Salvador so my Dad who speaks some Spanish asked him if he could tell us where the Spanish speakers in front of us were from. He picked up on that they were likely Dominican or Puerto Rican based on their slang and all that and how they were making little bets on everything going on during the game. Well because we were all there rooting for the Orioles. We all became friends quickly.
