Unless the VP says they want out, or there is a cloud of scandal over the VP (independent from POTUS), it really doesn’t make much sense. But then, the office of the Vice President doesn’t make sense beyond “we always have an even number of Senators and we occasionally need someone to break ties”

That’s the VP quitting, not the prez forcing him out.
And we’d all know he was forced out no matter what excuse he gave.

Pence had a small window to bail and possibly find a road forward.
That was weeks ago and it closed.
..he’d still never get elected prez though.

Now it’s too late. He has nommove to make
