Ehh, I’m going to give Leavers a pass. Unlike Republicans in the United States, where you really do have to be an idiot, a racist, or some other kind of asshole to vote for them, the UK racists wove an extremely subtle PR campaign that concealed the true nature of the movement and made it feel like a good idea to people who weren’t experts in economics or global politics. Sure, “the info was there,” but unlike American politics, which are conducted in a bubble, the info was washed out by the flood of bulkshit.
