Every war for the last 100 years has been infantry intensive conflicts. And the urbanization trend only points to the increased need of infantry forces to clear and hold terrain
I think the point is that those are specialized infantry tactics, not the sort of mass wave formations that were outdated after WW1. We need people who understand modern weapons systems, counter-insurgency, mechanized, amphibious and airborne tactics if we want to prevail.
