Divorce is a highly emotionally charged event… plenty of people react badly in those circumstances… this is surely true. Some folks may completely snap and murder their soon-to-be exes… a crime that knows no boundaries.

This is not the case here. He didn’t simply murder her, he frickin’ beheaded her!

This is an act steeped in religion/culture… it is designed to desecrate as much as kill… it is meant to intimidate other Muslim wives in the West as much as destroy this one wife in particular.

Don’t let anybody tell you this is just like any other murder-during-divorce tragedy… this is a statement about his faith — he’s saying it will have its way despite US courts and laws. He chose the least civilized way possible to resolve this… and show whose morality is really important to him.
