I do and I’m seeing more and more insanity everyday. I think what some folks don’t realize is that military members do have certain skills that the vast majority of the general public do not posses. These skills are necessary for the jobs we perform. However, should someone decide to use them for nefarious purposes, they can be extremely dangerous. The vast majority of veterans are exceptional people with only a desire to serve their country. There are a few who do want to harm this country. Case in point: my unit had an avowed member of the KKK spreading literature around and overtly threatening a local businessman. He was also stockpiling weapons and explosives in his house on base, about a block away from my family. He’s in the brig but it was a bit of a scare. DHS isn’t targeting me or the majority of veterans but the aforementioned example is a good reason why some folks need to have an eye kept on them.
