re: #67 zombie
Wow — never thought I’d get to see this.
The band that first put San Francisco on the musical map in mid ’60s, before all that flower-power stuff and before the hippies and before the Jefferson Airplane and the Grateful and all that crud:
We Five performing You Were On My Mind — live, introduced by (of all people) Fred Astaire!:
Zombie you rawk!
One of mine (and my hubby’s) favorite songs ever. Also you’ve helped me settle a bet with him and I’ll be collecting the 10 bucks tonight. He and I bet years ago about who was singing this song. I said a woman, he said a man. Not only was it a woman but she’s a pretty little thing. I’ll be showing him this video tonight. Thanks for the linky.
What a classic. And yet the We Five are now completely forgotten.
