re: #975 avanti

There were about 12 million Clinton supporters. Polls suggest between 4 and 5 million voted for McCain/Palin. That’s 4 or 5 million Democrats who should have voted for Obama but didn’t. I’ve got to think most were attracted to Palin.

Many people who were turned off Palin actually believed Tina Fey’s punch lines were real quotes from Palin. Oh well, when you’ve got 80% of the media in your camp, it’s hard to fight back.

In fact, Palin kept McCain in the game. If not for her, the outcome would have been a landslide for Obama.

Don’t count her out. The east coast liberal media dismissed Reagan as a joke candidate in 1976. He proved them wrong in 1980. Palin will be back in 2012 and she will still be around in 2016.
