re: #91 Wendell Zurkowitz ((slave to the waffle light))
When I was young and strapping and had not seen the inside of a doctor’s office in years, I took out a $60-per-month insurance policy with $5,000 deductible.
But that was not really health insurance, I simply looked on it as bankruptcy insurance in case I got hit by a truck or something…
I took out a small term life insurance policy for similar reasons. If I should croak while outside the USA, I don’t want my family to go into hock just to deal with my remains.
Life insurance for us oldsters is not cheap, I discovered.
