My brother and I were talking about this disconnect we see with many who proclaim to be devout Christians but show no compassion or kindness to anyone in a situation less well off than them.

My brother and I were talking about the eruption of flat-out racism. We’re both grew up in the Deep South in the bad old days (as opposed to the bad new days we’re now experiencing). He said he hadn’t realized how much of this stuff was still around. This kind of sheltered naivete is why he’s still the kid brother at age 71.
