Back in the “gas crisis” keyed gas caps became the norm. Some older American cars had doors and the 56 and 57 Chevys had filler caps under the back tail lights. Hidden. There were others. Can’t think of them right now. They have examples on YouTube.
Had a 57 Chevy sedan, not the favored coupe, and it was beat but it was a freaking 57 Chebbie.
