I hear you. I’m planning to build my own PC (hopefully one for $1000ish that won’t be obsolete in 2 years) and then get a netbook for the “outside.” All I gotta do is save up for that. D:

Well, there’s a third option, which would be to try to rebuild my sister’s recently discarded PC into a working one, as it’s three years younger than my own. Problem is, it was discarded because both the motherboard and video card burnt out. Really, by the time I spent the money to replace those, I’d be pretty close to a bargain-basement PC anyway.
