Octavia Butler’s “Kindred” is one of the best sci-fi books I’ve ever read. I’m kind of surprised that it has never been made into a movie. I’ve read her “Parable of the Sower” which was pretty good but depressing. With its dystopian Christianist, Rightwing government, it eerily foreshadowed the current Trump government, imho.
