An article about one of the craziest hashtags on Twitter, Qanon. (I went and looked. Oh, man, I need a shower.)

Apparently, a 4chan user who goes by the name of Q prognosticates the wildest conspiracy claims, making Alex Jones look sane by comparison. This bubbles up on Twitter under that hashtag.

Perhaps Twitter needs to be nuked from orbit. This stuff is way crazier than folks who used to get high on Mimeograph machine fumes whilst cranking out crank newsletters.

The problem is not Twitter, it is the news organizations who simply use Twitter as a cheap source of news and see “trending on Twitter” as a news item in itself.
