There is of course the risk that Beto will get into a trap, the one that is basically the only reason he will rise to the top of the heap is because he is a white male.

For such a critique of him, even though it may not be fair to judge him as so, I think it notable that he gets such positive response when even more successful politicians - Harris, Booker - face much more scorn.

So, how can Beto avoid the white-savior trap?
