Fairly familiar - their attitude regarding “Germanness” isn’t surprising to me, mostly because a good many Czechs harbor similar attitudes about what it means to be a “Czech”. What they mean is, of course, “ethnic Czech”.
AfD’s stronghold is in the former DDR - and that’s still worlds away from the former West Germany, despite two decades of unification. It’s a problem, quite honestly, in a good many parts of the former Soviet bloc.
At least here, in Czech Republic, the Pirate Party is the leading party with young voters (18-30), which I view as a good sign for the future.
Off to work - back later.
