The Exchange Stabilization Fund law was changed when conservatives were in charge of the government to allow the fund to be used to buy securities on our own or other countries’ stock markets.

I expect that Mnuchin will make the $50 billion disappear into the pockets of the extra-wealthy on Wall Street in short order.

I love conservatism and capitalism.

And this misuse will lead to the laws being changed and potentially handcuffing future administrations from having a useful tool.
