I almost feel bad for McConnell. His idiotic base is impossible to please. To many of them, working with the President is a crime in itself. Bet you he gets a serious primary challenge because of this. One I think he survives but emerges wounded.

I believe we call this ‘reaping what you sow’. I don’t think his constituents would care for having their taxes go up if McConnell didn’t work out a compromise on the issue.
