OK.

I do wonder if my record of support for Israel made a difference when I was rejected for a job that would have required a security clearance. However, I hadn’t sent the letters to the politicians yet, just the Globe, and at least one of those was published.
(It was just after Sharon was elected, and people were calling him a “terrorist”. I pointed out how people also called Arafat a terrorist.)

Depends on how detailed their search was. What year was Sharon elected? Were internet searches commonplace then?
