An alternate title for this post might be, “The Recursive Conspiracy Theories of a Raving Freakazoid,” as our favorite right wing nut sandwich just continues to chase his own paranoid tail. Here he is opining that the AP and IRS “scandals” are really just attempts to cover up the Benghazi cover-up, because “that is literally where the bodies are buried.”
On his radio program today, Glenn Beck uncorked a bizarre rant about the NAACP and Martin Luther King and Booker T. Washington and by the way, 20 PERCENT OF KKK LYNCHINGS WERE OF WHITE PEOPLE! AND THEY’D BE TEA PARTIERS TODAY!
Beck’s strategy for defending himself against charges of racism seems to be to confuse the issues so thoroughly that nobody can figure out what the hell he’s trying to say. But yeah, he’s still a racist pig.
“They are a joke,” Beck said of the NAACP, calling them “an affront” to everything that Martin Luther King, Frederick Douglass, and Booker T. Washington stood for. “You are an affront to their memory. You really are.”
Somehow, that discussion then prompted Beck to declare that “20% of the lynchings [carried out] by the KKK were of white people … and you know what, I contend [that] the white people that were lynched are exactly the kind of people that would be in the Tea Party today.”
On today’s radio broadcast, Glenn Beck got pretty worked up about the fact that the jury in the trial of Kermit Gosnell has now entered the second day of deliberations, since Beck thinks it is an open and shut case and it should only have taken them seconds to find Gosnell guilty.
Beck then went on to send a semi-coded message to those in the upper level of the government warning that they had better come clean about this Saudi national because The Blaze has information that reveals that he “is a very bad, bad, bad man” which will be revealed on Monday.
“I don’t bluff,” Beck stated, “I make promises. The truth matters. I’ve had enough of what you’ve done to our country. I thought I had heard and seen it all. I thought I didn’t trust my government. Oh no, no, no. There is no depth that these people will not stoop to. They have until Monday and then The Blaze will expose it.”
It’s amazing America continues to survive, with all these evil plots to destroy freedom. Just lucky, I guess.
Citing random passages out of a document entitled “Promoting Grit, Tenacity, and Perseverance—Critical Factors for Success in the 21st Century” [PDF] from the Department of Education’s Office of Educational Technology, Beck declared that these data systems will be collecting a cornucopia of sensitive personal information on children and their families while placing monitoring sensors in the chairs and on their skin and filming them with cameras that can detect emotions; they’d even be installing MRI systems in the classroom.
And this is all happening because the corporations have merged with the government in order to implement “System X: a government run by a single party in control of labor, media, education and banking; joined by big business to further their mutual collective goals.”
“This is a progressive bonanza,” Beck warned, “and if it’s allowed to be in our schools in any form and become the common core of America’s next generation, it will destroy America and the system of freedom as we know it … The corporations and the government are in bed together and this is evil stuff”
Sure, we all know Glenn Beck is the eager disseminator of all manner of goofy conspiracy theories. But lately he’s been diving even deeper into these mysterious waters, pondering the dark conspiracies behind the conspiracy theories. A theory of meta-conspiracies, if you will. A fractal universe of endlessly convoluted conspiracies, layers upon layers, all the way down.
How far will Glenn follow his recursive conspiracy theory theory? Stay tuned for more of Glenn Beck, Raving Freakazoid Nut Sandwich.
It’s supposed to be a lame parody of Andres Serrano’s “Piss Christ” — without the art or the creativity. This is how far the loony right has devolved, and it’s a pretty nasty sight.
Glenn Beck is well known around here as a raving freakazoid nut sandwich, and he doesn’t disappoint in this clip from Right Wing Watch, standing in front of his chalkboard and ranting about the secret connections that tie together all the strands of a vast conspiracy by the Muslim Brotherhood to trigger a global revolution.

CNN's Howard Kurtz, who knows a little bit about being in the line of media fire for his own work, offered ABC News's embattled Jon Karl the chance to defend himself on Reliable Sources Sunday. Karl, of course, is in hot water because his "scoop" revealing that the White House tampered with Benghazi talking points relied on doctored email leaked by House Republican ...
Only 300 points now separate the #1 surfer in the world (Adriano de Souza) and the #3 surfer in the world (Mick Fanning). And this guy, Jordy Smith, is right there between them. And between tubes at Kirra, turns at Bells and airs in Rio, he didn't get there by surfing safe.

"He was misled and I don't know how you can stand by a story if the story is wrong," Shuster argued. "He could have put this email out and said, 'I've been debriefed on the email from a Republican congressional source and here's what they tell me.' Instead, ABC News said that they 'obtained' the emails and Jonathan Karl made it seem if ...
A new study confirms that the vast majority of scientists who research the climate accept that the planet is warming and human beings are largely responsible. Yet a large slice of the American public believes that scientists are deeply split about global warming.

A Travis County district court judge ruled this week that a Houston-based tea party group is not a nonprofit corporation as it claims, but an unregistered political action committee that illegally aided the Republican Party through its poll-watching efforts during the 2010 elections. The summary judgment by Judge John Dietz upheld several Texas campaign finance laws that had been challenged on constitutional grounds ...
Having failed twice before, Rep. Frank Hoffmann, R-West Monroe, is promoting another stealth creationist bill, House Bill 116, which "provides relative to textbooks and other instructional materials for [public] elementary and secondary schools."When Rep. Gene Reynolds, D-Dubberly, expressed concern that HB116 could permit adoption of controversial books on evolution and other subjects (Advocate May 13), he was exactly right. Hoffmann responded, "That is ...
In a speech on April 15 before the McLennan County Republican Club, Greg Abbott, the Republican Attorney General and a potential candidate for governor in 2014, declared that Battleground Texas represents a bigger danger to the state than Kim Jong-un, the leader of North Korea: One thing that requires ongoing vigilance is the reality that the state of Texas is coming under a ...

WINDSOR, Ontario -- Assumption Park gives residents of this city lovely views of the Ambassador Bridge and the Detroit skyline. Lately they've been treated to another sight: a three-story pile of petroleum coke covering an entire city block on the other side of the Detroit River. Detroit's ever-growing black mountain is the unloved, unwanted and long overlooked byproduct of Canada's oil sands boom. ...
A scowling Donald Trump raised his voice on the witness stand Wednesday while an attorney grilled him and then rolled his eyes at the "Apprentice" star's answers, prompting a federal judge to scold both men in open court and order them to behave. The admonition came during Trump's second and final day on the stand at a civil trial where he is accused ...
One of the most comical parts of the Dan Rather/Bush National Guard records fiasco came when Rather tried to shift gears after it was finally definitively clear that the records were bogus. Rather did one segment after this became clear where he basically said, 'Yep, the fact that these were forgeries is a dramatic new turn in the story. And we're on it!' ...
Editor's Note: The controversial fifth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders or DSM-5 (a.k.a. the manual formerly known as "DSM-V") was just released - after a 14-year revision process to update its criteria for defining mental disorders. This opinion is from the former taskforce chairman and leader of previous DSM editions. Nature takes the long view, mankind the short. ...
Your sex appeal shoots through the roof! You achieve the status of "sexy man". Your wife sees you in a new attractive light which is the only light that allows her to see you this way. In fact, many other women notice as well--wherever you are. You morph into that man other guys envy and women adore. And until now, you had no ...
We are in the midst of the worst Washington scandal since Watergate. The reputation of the Obama White House has, among conservatives, gone from sketchy to sinister, and, among liberals, from unsatisfying to dangerous. No one likes what they're seeing. The Justice Department assault on the Associated Press and the ugly politicization of the Internal Revenue Service have left the administration's credibility deeply, ...
Political discourse in America has reached levels of douchebaggery previously only theorized about but never observed, like conversational dark matter. We're in a whole new world of hating people based solely on their opinions on a few key issues, and since this is unexplored territory, our conversations about politics are usually only a couple notches beyond the "hold your breath until the other ...
Seems a good way to solicit ideas for touristing destinations and activities. Will have 4-5 days so some opportunity for visiting multiple sites. And since I do have an interest in history and military history items in that area will be welcome suggestions. (The USS Midway down in San Diego is already on the list.) If there is anything California-geology related that would be ...
I knew Jimi (Hendrix) and I think that the best thing you could say about Jimi was: there was a person who shouldn't use drugs. -- From the second of two FZ interviews which were transcribed from an imported CD called "The Frank Zappa Interview Picture Disk". Conducted sometime in early to mid 1984.
