Why WOULDN'T they run ads like this? If Bush = Hitler, and Rumsfeld = Hermann Goering, they why wouldn't you want to kill them. This is simply the logical extension of the current thinking in the DNC.

Bah! They are as evil as the ROPMA. Both want to destroy America; they both want to destroy Christianity.
I am a Christian. I believe in redemption. Even these guys are not beyond redemption. Remember what the Apostle Paul used to do before he became a Christian? Murder Christians.
But -- If God Himself were to appear to me, ala Paul's experience on the road to Damascus, and told me to vote for a Democrat? Man, I'd really have to think about that.
During the Florida 2000 election recounts, the filthy, lying Demoncrats in charge did everything they could to ensure the ballots from overseas military members were not counted. I once challenged the head of the Bexar county, TX Democrats about this on the radio. His response? He was "proud" to have been one of those who'd gone to Florida and helped his party in the recount.
A pox upon them!

OFF TOPIC but...
Even the Baboons in Kenya have Mother Nature killing of the despotic males within the tribe, therefore ensuring peace and stability amongst the rest...
It could also apply to all terrorists throughout the world.
Sorry, one needs a password to access the article so I will have to quote it all here
No Time for Bullies: Baboons Retool Their Culture
No Time for Bullies: Baboons Retool Their Culture
By NATALIE ANGIERPublished: April 13, 2004
ometimes it takes the great Dustbuster of fate to clear the room of bullies and bad habits. Freak cyclones helped destroy Kublai Khan's brutal Mongolian empire, for example, while the Black Death of the 14th century capsized the medieval theocracy and gave the Renaissance a chance to shine.
Among a troop of savanna baboons in Kenya, a terrible outbreak of tuberculosis 20 years ago selectively killed off the biggest, nastiest and most despotic males, setting the stage for a social and behavioral transformation unlike any seen in this notoriously truculent primate. In a study appearing today in the journal PloS Biology (online at [Link: www.plosbiology.org),...] researchers describe the drastic temperamental and tonal shift that occurred in a troop of 62 baboons when its most belligerent members vanished from the scene. The victims were all dominant adult males that had been strong and snarly enough to fight with a neighboring baboon troop over the spoils at a tourist lodge garbage dump, and were exposed there to meat tainted with bovine tuberculosis, which soon killed them. Left behind in the troop, designated the Forest Troop, were the 50 percent of males that had been too subordinate to try dump brawling, as well as all the females and their young. With that change in demographics came a cultural swing toward pacifism, a relaxing of the usually parlous baboon hierarchy, and a willingness to use affection and mutual grooming rather than threats, swipes and bites to foster a patriotic spirit.
Remarkably, the Forest Troop has maintained its genial style over two decades, even though the male survivors of the epidemic have since died or disappeared and been replaced by males from the outside. (As is the case for most primates, baboon females spend their lives in their natal home, while the males leave at puberty to seek their fortunes elsewhere.) The persistence of communal comity suggests that the resident baboons must somehow be instructing the immigrants in the unusual customs of the tribe.
"We don't yet understand the mechanism of transmittal," said Dr. Robert M. Sapolsky, a professor of biology and neurology at Stanford, "but the jerky new guys are obviously learning, `We don't do things like that around here.' " Dr. Sapolsky wrote the report with his colleague and wife, Dr. Lisa J. Share.
Dr. Sapolsky, who is renowned for his study of the physiology of stress, said that the Forest Troop baboons probably felt as good as they acted. Hormone samples from the monkeys showed far less evidence of stress in even the lowest-ranking individuals, when contrasted with baboons living in more rancorous societies.
The researchers were able to compare the behavior and physiology of the contemporary Forest Troop primates to two control groups: a similar-size baboon congregation living nearby, called the Talek Troop, and the Forest Troop itself from 1979 through 1982, the era that might be called Before Alpha Die-off, or B.A.D.
"It's a really fine, thorough piece of work, with the sort of methodology and lucky data sets that you can only get from doing long-term field research," said Dr. Duane Quiatt, a primatologist at the University of Colorado at Denver and a co-author with Vernon Reynolds of the 1993 book "Primate Behaviour: Information, Social Knowledge and the Evolution of Culture."
The new work vividly demonstrates that, Putumayo records notwithstanding, humans hold no patent on multiculturalism. As a growing body of research indicates, many social animals learn from one another and cultivate regional variants in skills, conventions and fashions. Some chimpanzees crack open their nuts with a stone hammer on a stone anvil; others prefer wood hammers on wood anvils. The chimpanzees of the Tai forest rain-dance; those of the Gombe tickle themselves. Dr. Jane Goodall reported a fad in one chimpanzee group: a young female started wiggling her hands, and before long, every teen chimp was doing likewise.

Mother Nature certainly has a unique method of wheeding out despots, even in the Baboons of Kenya.

This isn't just sick and evil, it's criminal to the best of my knowledge. Time for our justice system to grow a spine and/or stop making liberals "more equal than others." The people that submitted the ad and the people that ran it should be arrested and charged immediately. That includes the leader of the Dem group and the paper's editor.
Keep pussyfooting around behavior like this, and you're telling the populace "Anything goes. Take it into your own hands." Even though that actually favors my side, it doesn't seem the way the country ought to go. Are we going to be a nation of equals governed by laws, or do we really want class vs. class engaging in thuggish warfare?
What the GOP and Dem leadership do about this is going to be very important. Neither side should run from this issues.

St. Petersburg Democratic Club
Senator Edward Kennedy is absolutely right when he called Iraq "Bush's Vietnam". But it's not only Bush, it's his whole damn Bunch Cheney, Powell, Rumsfeld, Rice, Rove and Ridge.
They've tried to blame the Iraq war on intelligence, on Al Qaida, on terrorists, on foreigners from Iran and Syria. Bush doesn't even know who in the hell we're fighting. The Bush Bunch calls the Iraqis insuregents. Did you know that Britian called the American revolutionaries insurgents and traitors? The Iraqis aren't insurgents. They're Iraqi partriates who want us the hell out of the country, and we should get the hell out of their country now!
We have Marines and soldiers being killed by the dozens with many more wounded. How many have to be killed before the Bush Bunch is satisfied? How many burial services for our Iraqi dead has Bush attended? Any? How many military hospitals has Bush visited to talk to our wounded who have lost arms, or legs, or their eye sight or combinations of these - how many?
And then there's Rumsfeld who said in Iraq " We have our good days and our bad days". We should put this S.O.B. up against a wall and say "This is one of our bad days," and pull the trigger. Do you want to salvage our country? Be a saviour of our country? Then vore for John Kerry and get rid of the whole Bush Bunch.
Please make a donation of ANY amount of money you can afford and send it to John Kerry for President, Inc 901 15th Street, N.W. Suite 700, Washington, DC 20005. Do it NOW. Thank you.

What is the advertising policy of the paper that ran this gem? Shouldn't they have seen the contents before it ran? They've got culpability on this too. They knowingly ran an advertisement that called for the assassination of a public official. Most papers have an advertising policy similar to that of the NY Times:
[Link: www.nytadvertising.com...]
The New York Times maintains an Advertising Acceptability Department whose function is to examine advertisements before publication to determine if they meet the standards of acceptability The Times has developed over the years.
The Times may decline to accept advertising that is misleading, inaccurate or fraudulent; that makes unfair competitive claims; or that fails to comply with its standards of decency and dignity.
If an advertisement contains statements or illustrations that are not deemed acceptable, and that The Times thinks should be changed or eliminated, the advertiser will be notified. The Times will attempt to negotiate changes with the advertiser; however, if changes cannot be negotiated, the advertisement will be declined by The Times.
In addition, an advertisement must sometimes be declined because of the applicability of laws dealing with such matters as libel, copyright and trademark, the right to privacy, the sale of securities, the sale of real estate and political advertising.
The New York Times maintains clear separation between news and editorial matter and its advertisements. Accordingly, ads that include elements usually associated with The New York Times editorial matter will not be accepted (for example, but not limited to: Times-style headlines, bylines, news-style column arrangements or typography). Additionally, The Times reserves the right to label an advertisement with the word “advertisement” when, in its opinion, this is necessary to make clear the distinction between editorial material and advertising.
The Gabber doesn't appear to have a similar statement on its advertising policy, or if it did, this is a clear violation of that policy. In any case, we're talking about some serious questions of judgment at that paper, not to mention the numbnuts who sent this in to the paper in the first place.

Everytime someone says "DU" I get all confused betweenn Democratic Underground and Depleted Uranium. At least the latter is basically harmless.
See how the Democratic party is the party of love, and tolerance and all that jazz?
One of the greatest ironies, in my mind, is how so many of these socialist revolutionaries are anti-second amendment. How they intend to stage a revolution without guns, I don't know, but its safer not to give them the idea.
This is getting vicious, and it seems to be getting worse the closer to the election.

What makes it possible for some backward, pea brain ayatollahs from Stone Henge to move ahead of Pentagon?

As you may know their "grand ayatollah" Khomeini the sicko with an IQ of -20 dedicates the main part of his "great book" on how to have sex with horses and donkeys
Who's making the moves against Pentagon/ US here?
I think we have to take a look at these ayatollahs past and their Historic Masters. They've always been the longer hand of Britania in Iran. That is not a mistery to Iranians who know their recent history.
Britaina also knows that we Iranians KNOW our History! So their only chance of getting their dirty hands on Iran's Oil is through these ayatollahs and their grip in power!
There is NO WAY British Monarchy would loose this firm grip in Middle East to Americans. Afterall they are still bitter over US Independance. Mind you they've been working hard EVEN behind the scenes of US Politics to keep US under control one way or another.
There is NO WAY USA is fully independent unless this viscious circle ENDS. EXPOSE THE WEAK LINK TO BRITISH MONARCHS. NOW IS TIME.

This is a threat that needs attention from the Secret Service and law enforcement. I saw it on Drudge, and kept going back til there was something to copy.
I wonder when Hanoi john will speak up, and ask that all those involved should be removed from any committee, etc., associated with his run for the Presidency.
In all my 66 years I have never seen anything like this, and frankly, it scares me. This level of hatred is pathologic, and what is to stop them from calling for the assassination of the President? They so hate the administration that they are no better than a penny ante dictatorship. Anyone who does not decry this should be considerd a threat to our country.
DRUDGE REPORT XXX TUE APRIL 13, 2004 12:12:05 ET XXXCAMPAIGN RAGE: FLORIDA DEMOCRATS PLACE NEWSPAPER AD CALLING FOR RUMSFELD HIT; FUNDRAISING FOR KERRY
Campaign 2004 turns extreme in Florida with the placement of a newspaper ad calling for physical retribution against Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld!
"We should put this S.O.B. up against a wall and say 'This is one of our bad days,' and pull the trigger," the ad reads.
MORE
The call-to-arms fundraising ad, placed by the St. Petersburg Democratic Club in the current issue of the GABBER, a local St. Petersburg paper, asks readers to make an urgent donation to the John Kerry campaign.
Club Vice President Edna McCall told the DRUDGE REPORT Tuesday morning: "We want to get our country back. In Iraq, we're in deep trouble. If we don't try to get this situation cleared up, we are finished."
When asked if the ad was a challenge to inflict violence on Rumsfeld, McCall explained: "'Pull the trigger' means let Rumsfeld know where we stand, not to shoot him!"
"We are getting raped, and they are planning to steal the election again."
McCall said her club is in direct contact with John Kerry campaign.
"We're all working together."
The publisher of the GABBER says running the ad with the passage "pull the trigger" was a mistake that "slipped through" during the editing of this week's edition.

They're getting raped in the sense that the Repubs are gearing up to steal the election again.
So why are the Democrats even running a candidate? Because the only options are they lose, or the election is stolen by the illuminati /masons /zog /bigfoot, and they lose, right? They are delusional and in denial.
#48 Mike Silverman:
did they think it would HELP Kerry, or Democrats in any way?
Yes and yes. Remember, the mythology is that they have been losing for a decade now "because they haven't gotten their message out" and because "they've been too gentle." You can go to Dem sites and hear them argue about whether advocating murder, treason, arson etc will gain them more votes from the left than it will lose them from the middle. The notion "Hey, this just might be wrong" doesn't even enter the calculations, other than a "Well, we don't want to be too open about this and give the other side something to use against us."
This isn't just raw meat, this is blood they're guzzling. And it does bring in the donations. Money talks, and this is what animates the Left today. And we're obviously not talking about just the furthest fringe.

I'm not gonna say that this doesn't speak of a possible future civil war. I think the elements of one have been brewing since the 60s, simply waiting for the right spark. Will it be Dubya's second victory? I can't say, although I think if the election causes as much controversy as 2000, it might very well spark some violence. But, I think it'll take a very big event to start a second civil war, similar to how all the bluster prior to South Carolina's secession only hinted at the coming war. Perhaps another 9/11 event, which'll finally crack open the starting schism amongst the ranks.
As to this ad, my God, what kinda people actually consider this sh*t? What happened to friendly rivarly and believing that the government was chosen by the people for the people? Suddenly the Dems are the ones advocating violence and murder. Oh, wait, maybe I've got it all wrong. Maybe it's just the 1/2 of 1% of Dems who're like this. How has questioning ones patriotism become worse than using a four letter expletive? At what point can you call someone unpatriotic? Is it when they cheer a Berkeley speaker calling for an American Jihad? Can we call those liberals unpatriotic?
In congress it manifests itself as partisanship instead of unity on issue where it should not be. How many times does Bush have to reach across the aisle only to be bitten? It’s one more example of why appeasement doesn’t work in any form with people who are obsessed with power.
Listen, I'm not saying that all libs and dems are traitors or unpatriotic, but this type of rhetoric they use reaches a whole different level than just me ranting about how unpatriotic they are. Calling for Rumsfield to be killed? Come on! I think a blind deaf mute could see that difference.
Predictably, liberal and democratic Americans will turn a blind eye to this. Republicans don't do this kind of crap. And if they did we (conservatives) would work heaven and earth to make sure whoever it was that said it, would never earn a voice again. Look what happened to Trent Lot when he made flattering comments about Strom Thurmon. Chris Dodd says almost the exact same thing a couple weeks ago about Robert Bird (x-KKK) and nothing comes of it. How hypocritical!
Truth, proof, facts, honesty is not a virtue in the Democratic party at this point. If it were, Kerry would be taken to task for all his waffling, Democrats would be united on the fight against terror, and America would be unified in our resolve to keep us safe.

Jeb Bush: Give illegals licenses
April 7, 2004
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Associated Press)-- Gov. Jeb Bush endorsed a bill to allow illegal immigrants to get driver's licenses, saying they are in the state anyway and officials should accept that fact.
The bill he is backing has enough safeguards that it would ensure terrorists are not getting licenses, Bush said Monday.
''We shouldn't allow them to come into the country to begin with, but once they're here, what do you do? Do you basically say that they're lepers to society? That they don't exist?'' he asked. ''A policy that ignores them is a policy of denial.''
Bush, the president's brother, said he ''would prefer to have our borders be secure, that we deport people when they are found to be here illegally.''
The issue comes up after California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger fulfilled a campaign promise by repealing a law to allow illegal immigrants to begin applying for licenses.

As I pointed out above, nothing much was done when Jesse Helms said Clinton should worry about his life if he came to South Carolina. It was a bit more artfully evasive than the Floida statement. But the intent seemed clear and illegal to me to threaten the life of a president by proxy.

This is just the tip of the iceburg, I'm afraid. I'm a former lifetime Demo who just left the party because it is so rabidly anti-American in its anti-Bush hysteria that I expect we will start seeing terrorist collaboration soon.
It's already happened. Ever heard of Lynne Stewart?
Not surprisingly, a number of the attorneys who align themselves with CCR are noted for their anti-American ideologies and totalitarian sympathies. Lynn Stewart, for example, has not been squeamish about advocating violence and revolution as legitimate means of correcting the injustices of American capitalism. "I don't believe in anarchistic violence," says Stewart, "but in directed violence. That would be violence directed at the institutions which perpetuate capitalism, racism, and sexism, and the people who are the appointed guardians of those institutions, and accompanied by popular support." She once told a news reporter, "When the revolution comes to this country, it'll be as American as apple pie and baseball."Stewart has legally represented Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman, who, in his 1995 trial, was sentenced to life-in-prison for his role in masterminding the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. Rahman is a purported leader of the Islamic Group, an Egyptian terrorist organization with ties to al-Qaeda, and which has been on the US list of terrorist organizations for several years. This very group took responsibility for the 1997 massacre of 58 tourists in Luxor, Egypt — an attack whose purpose was to press for Rahman's release from prison. Among the Sheik's other brainstorms were plans to blow up the Lincoln and Holland tunnels and the United Nations building.
The terms of Rahman's prison sentence severely restrict his communications with the outside world. Similarly, Ms. Stewart is forbidden to pass messages between Rahman and anyone else. Yet in April 2002 Stewart was indicted on charges that she had "facilitated and concealed communications" between the Sheik and members of the aforementioned Islamic Group. The charges state that when Stewart visited her client in prison, she knowingly permitted Rahman to give an Arabic translator messages that Rahman wanted transmitted to the Islamic Group — in essence allowing the Sheik to direct terrorist activities from his cell.

Old Patriot Tue, Apr 13, 2004 9:25:24am |
There are a few things people all over the United States need to remember:
1. Our military take an oath to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States, and to bear true faith and allegience to the same". It says nothing in there about political parties, or governments at any level - just the Constitution. The rest of the oath is just about the chain of command - who has the right to give orders. Even those orders are ONLY LAWFUL if they are supported by the Constitution, and our oath was changed to reflect that (part of Nixon's 'legacy').
2. This nation has about two million active duty, national guard, and active reserve military, stretched all around the world. It also has about eleven million retired reserves who can be called to active duty by the president in time of "national emergency" with a simple executive order. Again, they fall under the rules above. Agreed, a lot of us (me!) are old and out of shape, but we can still handle weapons, and we were trained to do so. I can still put eight out of ten rounds in a three-inch circle at 300 yards, and did so again just last Thursday, bad back and all.
3. There are also laws which allow the President, with the approval of Congress, to recall anyone who has ever served in the United States military and who is still under the age of sixty to active duty for a period of two years.
4. I'm from one of the "red" states. Four-fifths of the kids in rural areas around here still get a rifle or shotgun for their twelfth birthday, and learn how to use it properly. Most homes have at least one long-barreled weapon, and quite a few have at least one per person.
The Democrats do NOT want to start a war. They couldn't even control the cities for more than three days. How long do you think New York would last if no vehicle moved into the city from anywhere else for three days? How effective do you think 200 people with high-powered rifles could establish a roadblock on each of the arteries into the city? Ships? I don't think so. The entire thing would fall apart in a week. Then the necktie parties would begin. Not a pleasant time in our history, but maybe a necessary one, what with the absolute refusal of the far left to face reality.

Why insult Lieberman? He's a fine, honest man, the best hope of the Democrat party (unless Miller decided to run in 2008). Why tie him in with the sort of Hillary, who didn't know a thing about the criminal activities of all her relatives, nor how subponead papers mysteriously appeared in her possession, several years after she was required to produce them? Lieberman didn't screw up education and heath care royally. Come on, give the guy a break!
I agree. If Lieberman became the front-runner instead of Kerry then the President would be even more worried about the election. I think the Democrats blew it by going with an even more liberal candidate.

Actually, I am a Democrat, a liberal/left-leaning one too. However, I am staunchly in favor of both the War On Terrorism and the liberation of the Iraqi people. (I admire Tony Blair's political courage.) I feel very betrayed by most of the Left after September 11. If right-wingers are unhappy with the Chomskoids, I am even more unhappy because I feel that I am getting shoved out of my political leanings and out of my party because I believe in America and I believe that America is worth fighting for.
I am utterly appalled at what the St. Petersburg Democrats are doing (although I am sadly not surprised).
Sure, I may not agree with President Bush on much of his domestic agenda, but I support him not only as our legally elected president but also as a man who is at least giving a good faith effort in protecting our country against terrorists. That's more than can be said for the ABB types.
One of the reasons I had supported the Democrats in the first place was because I regarded them as the party of LBJ, who went after the Ku Klux Klan with a vengeance. Now, some Florida Democrats are resurrecting the legacy of the Klan.
We are at war. The way things are going, the winner of the 2004 election won't be either John Kerry or George W. Bush, but Osama bin Laden.
I condemn in the strongest terms the St. Petersburg Democratic Club. If Senator Kerry does not immediately condemn this action, I will regard his lack of condemnation as tacit support for it. If he tacitly supports this contemptible action, my sentiments will shift from cold neutrality to hot opposition.

I'd say Hillary's electability and the mantle of Clintonomics would offset some of Joe's more sterling qualities. But I digress.
I fear that the majority of Demos would never allow this country to prevail in the war on terrorism. So the party has become a repository for American defeatists. And now it begins to smell of unlawful combatants, as well.

What can you expect from the Democrats! They tried to steal the election in 2000 by analyzing the chads and wanting a recount. When that didn't work, they went to court. So, in 2004, since they can't win in a democratic election and can't win in the Courts, their only alternative is murder.

Unfortunately for the Dems, the looney left is in control of the Party - thanks in part to Howard Dean. Anything other than total subjegation of U.S. rights to the U.N., Europe, Barney is unacceptable.
I believe we won't hear much from Hillary this election. She wants Kerry to loose big time so that the looney left will be completely discredited. That way it will be her and her people in control of the Dem. Party and she will have no problem getting the nomination in 2008 and give the GOP a run for its money.

I hope you, and Lizardoid Minion, #62, are right; that there's nothing really to worry about; the lefties of the 60's are getting old, and, as Lizardoid points out, we do kinda have kinda beaten them in the arms race, after all. . .
I think I have to agree with Poitiers Lepanto, #28, and Smit, #26 though: I'm afraid things may get deadly in the months to come, especially as the mass media seems to be so sympathetic to the anti-war movement, and so opposed to Bush, and the war in Iraq, and because so many leftists seem to be eaten up with anger and bitterness(ostensibly over the "stolen" election of 2000, but I think it must go deeper than that).
Also, they seem to have a deep and consuming hatred for the country of their birth: encouraging soldiers to shoot their officers, blaming 9/11 on Amerikkkan evil, instead of the terrorists who actually did it, running off to Irag to be human shields, carrying signs proclaiming their joy that the twin towers were blown up, claiming Amerikkka is run by some sort of "neocon" (i.e., Jewish) conspiracy. . . I'm sorry, any democrats or liberals who might be reading this, but these are not the actions of people who care about their country.
Oh, and Poitiers Lepanto---I think the reason none of the saner Democrats are speaking out against this is because most of the sane people fled the party long ago, and have now become Conservatives, belong to no party whatsoever, or are posting on LGF!
I'm afraid the upcoming months, and the November election itself, are going to be all to interesting!

Do you think that if it had been the other way around, the LLL-Liars would let up? Not on your life!
They want to whine? Fine. I say we should give them something to whine about (the Bustards are going to whine anyway)! HAMMER them with calls and emails and letters to the editors. Pursue them where ever they are. Write their employers. Call the resturant where they hang out (said resturant is already unhappy, tee hee. I didn't even have to be anything but polite!) Harrass them at every turn in every way you can legally finagle. No threats; no violence; just lots of questions about them advocating murder -- i.e., the truth!
Make their lives miserable. That's what they want to do to us. Is this un-Christian? Perhaps, perhaps not. These people have advocated murder and they need to be brought to the bar of justice. Only when the masses recognize that need and cry aloud can it happen. Let this drop? NO! All that is necessary for evil to triumph... What good does it do to bother the resturant, for instance? Let's see if we can derpive them of a place to continue their conspiracy.
United States Code, Title 18, Part I, Chapter 51, Section 1117:
Section 1117. Conspiracy to murderIf two or more persons conspire to violate
section 1111, 1114, 1116, or 1119 of this

It may interest you that, on first inspection, the reaction of some Democratics is that the St. Petersburg advertisement must be a hoax, a dirty trick put out by Republicans to tar the Kerry campaign. However, I strongly suspect the advertisement is real because it unfortunately reflects the genuine feelings of a minority of Democratic activists.
Whether the advertisement is a hoax or it is real, the Democratic establishment and the Kerry campaign must quickly oppose this tenor of the political campaign.
I am well aware that some Spanish Socialists may desire to export their Spanish Civil War into the United States, but that we have more important things to do than plunge our country into civil war. That would be a victory for Osama bin Laden. A majority of Americans, including a majority of Democrats and a majority of Republicans, strongly oppose civil war. Let's kill the terrorists attacking us, not one another.

I have very strong feeling that a lot of Dems will vote for President Bush. Of course, what one says in public, and does in the voting booth can be very different things.
That said, there are a lot of Dems who would never voice publicly what they intend to do vis-à-is their Presidential vote, but who, I am confident, will vote for the President. A lot of Jews seem to be aware that the Dems are the enemy, and have been for years. Even individual union members will vote Bush.
Ed Koch has a lot of courage and decency to come out publicly for President Bush, and I feel he will have influence on quite a few voters.
Before I posted, I checked various media sources on line, and there is nary a word about this threat. I also held my nose, and checked Hanoi john's site. Nope, nothing there, either.

Yes it's possible. But not terribly likely. The Bush campaign already got scorched when one of their own tried to plant a videotape of Bush's debate preparation on the Gore campaign, as if Gore illicitly spied on Bush. The campaign worker who tried that dirty trick went to jail.
The Demo spokesperson who put up the St. Petersburg ad answerd questions of Drudge, and should know she thereby subjects herself to a higher likleihood of conviction and focus on any supposed Bush camp ties.

Fact is that no matter whether you go in America, 1/3 of the population is hopelessly liberal and 1/3 is rock-solid conservative. It's the middle third that make the difference between Berkeley and Boise something fun to talk about.

People wonder why the LLL support the Jihadist and the Islamo-facist although they are diametrically opposed. The answer is simple: Both groups feel that they are so superior that if anyone who questions them, they will encourage and condone the assassination of those poeple especially if they are political leaders.
The American Experience on PBS last night had a facinating episode on Emma Goldman. It was almost frightening to see the similarities between her and the An-Archists of her time and the Terrorists of today. It was also interesting to see the sympathy her biographers have for her - they were so impressed with your ideals that her methods were completely justified, even if that included assassination and murder. It is like the siren of Utopia is so strong that it blinds them as to the evilness of their actions.
Of course, Emma Goldman, lost many of her Utopian ideals when she was deported to the Soviet Union soon after the Russian Revolution. She then saw her Utopian ideals in action.

I, too, am an Ed Koch Democrat. And good for him for having the b***s to come out in public, here in Moscow on the Hudson [g], and say he's going to vote for George.
I haven't left the Dem. party; they've left me. They, in their support (direct and indirect) of our enemies are now supporting the most virulently misogynist societies on Earth. The antiwar crowd are actively anti-American, working to undermine our country's efforts in war. The Israel-haters are morally in bed with the Nazis.
I came of age in the 1970s, and was never a knee-jerk pacifist. I had an argument with John Pike, a friend in those days, who was the president of Vanderbilt's Young Communist League. The YCL organized a large, angry protest of S. Africa's participation in the Davis Cup tournament on campus (their guy was a black man, BTW, but apartheid was still in place.)
I asked John why the YCL didn't ALSO protest the massacre of 2 million Cambodians by the Pol Pot regime, and he smiled smugly and said, "If you want to organize a march, I'll be happy to join the crowd." Wouldn't go near it. Wouldn't begin to admit that the Communists' murder of 2 MILLION people was a slight human rights prob...
Another thing. When I was writing for the UN, I saw how the Vatican and the Moslem mullahs joined forces at the UN Conference on Population and Development to block women's rights to birth control, etc. Now the "Left" is backing these guys?
Finally, the most sickening thing to me (and it's always chapped my ass) is the relentless vilification of America, and more specifically, the demonization of WASPs, which I am, dammit.

OT, but just too much an indicator of the difference in character of the President and Hanoi john heinz kerry.
Bushes Pay Over $225,000 in Federal Taxes
President Bush reported $822,126 in adjusted gross income for last year, on which he paid $227,490 in federal income taxes - or about 28 percent, according to the president's federal returns released Tuesday by the White House.Bush and his wife, Laura, listed as income his presidential salary, interest and the investment income from trusts that hold their assets.
The Bushes' income and tax bill was slightly lower than the previous year, when the First Couple reported $856,056 in adjusted gross income and paid $268,719 in federal income taxes. For 2002, the Bushes paid about 31 percent of their income in federal taxes.
The Bushes reported itemized deductions of $95,043, including $68,360 to churches and charitable organizations, including Evergreen Chapel at Camp David, Md., Tarrytown United Methodist Church in Austin, Texas, St. John's Church in Washington, D.C., the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas and the federal government's Combined Federal Campaign.
Kerry Releases 2003 Income Tax Returns
To: National Desk, Political ReporterContact: Michael Meehan of John Kerry for President, 202-712-3000; [Link: www.johnkerry.com...]
WASHINGTON, April 13 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Sen. John Kerry has made public his 2003 income tax returns, as he has for past 20 years.
In 2003, Sen. John Kerry had $395,000 in taxable income and paid $90,575 in federal income taxes. Kerry had $43,735 in charitable contributions.
Last year, Kerry wrote "A Call to Service," of which had $89,000 in proceeds. Kerry is paying the taxes on the proceeds from the book and is donating the balance to charity.
The tax return also shows $175,000 in capital gains, from the sale of one-half interest of a painting, which was reported last year.

At least James Taranto's Opinion Journal has the article from Drudge. So far, not one news program has said a word.
Florida Dems: Murder Rumsfeld, Give Money to Kerry
Matt Drudge reports on an ad the St. Petersburg Democratic Club has taken out in the Gabber, a local weekly newspaper in the Gulf Coast city:Senator Edward Kennedy is absolutely right when he called Iraq "Bush's Vietnam." But it's not only Bush. It's his whole damn Bunch: Cheney, Powell, Rumsfeld, Rice, Rove and Ridge.
They've tried to blame the Iraq war on bad intelligence, on Al Qaida, on terrorists, on foreigners from Iraq and Syria. Bush doesn't even know who in the hell we're fighting. The Bush Bunch calls the Iraqis insurgents. Did you know that Britain called the American revolutionaries insurgents and traitors? The Iraqis aren't insurgents. They're Iraqi patriates [sic] who want us the hell out of their country, and we should get the hell out of their country now!
We have Marines and soldiers being killed by the dozens with many more wounded. How many have to be killed before the Bush Bunch is satisfied? How many burial services of our Iraq dead has Bush attended? Any? How many military hospitals has Bush visited to talk to our wounded who have lost arms, or legs, or their eye sight, or combinations of these--how many?
And then there's Rumsfeld who said of Iraq "We have our good days and our bad days." We should put this S.O.B. up against a wall and say "This is one of our bad days" and pull the trigger. Do you want t salvage our country? Be a savior of our country? Then vote for John Kerry and get rid of the whole Bush Bunch!
Please make a donation of ANY amount of money you can afford and send it to John Kerry for President, Inc. . . . Do it NOW. Thank you.
Suppose a local Republican club placed a newspaper ad soliciting donations for President Bush and urging the assassination of a prominent Democratic official. Would it not be national news? Why have we heard nothing about this ad--which appeared last Thursday--until now, and only from the Drudge Report?

So a Democrat is calling for the assassination of an elected official? Must be one of Kerry's old buddies from the Vietnam Veterans Against the War.
Maybe Kerry will give him a job in his campaign, too.

I agree with Frank #135. Rectums is too clinical though, how about just plain Bloody Assholes? No, that sounds too British. I guess I'll just have to reduce it to F*%@ ing Assholes.

Thanks. I just went to post the following when I saw your post. It really is a mealy-mouthed 'excuse', and late in coming.
I imagine those involved will get boiler room jobs from Hanoi john!

St. Petersburg Democratic club ad says 'pull trigger' on Rumsfeld
St. Petersburg Democratic club ad says 'pull trigger' on Rumsfeld
MIAMI (AP) — Florida Republicans are crying foul after a St. Petersburg Democratic club placed a full-page ad in a weekly newspaper, saying Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld should be "put up against a wall" and someone should "pull the trigger."
The ad, appearing in last Thursday's edition of the Gabber, a weekly paper covering the Pinellas County community of Gulfport, included a lengthy criticism of the Bush administration's handling of the war in Iraq and then singled out Rumsfeld."And then there's Rumsfeld who said of Iraq 'We have our good days and our bad days.' We should put this S.O.B. up against a wall and say 'This is one of our bad days,' and pull the trigger," the ad read under a banner "St. Petersburg Democratic Club."
"Do you want to salvage our country? Be a savior of our country? Then vote for John Kerry and get rid of the whole Bush Bunch!" The ad then directs financial donations to Kerry's campaign headquarters in Washington.
The bottom of the ad depicts an American flag and reads: "Iraq. Killed 623. Wounded 4927."
State Republican Party chairman Carole Jean Jordan called the ad "deplorable" and urged Democratic National Committee chairman Terry McAuliffe, Florida Democratic Party chairman Scott Maddox and the local party chairman to repudiate the group's statements.
"I am shocked beyond words at what amounts to a call for the assassination of Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld by the St. Petersburg Democratic Club," Jordan said in a statement.
A Defense Department spokesman declined comment.
The ad listed phone numbers for club president Ken Steinke and vice president Edna McCall. Both lines were busy during repeated attempts by The Associated Press to reach Steinke and McCall for comment.
Mark Kornblau, a Kerry campaign spokesman, said the club was not working for their campaign "in any official capacity" and called for an apology.
"It is outrageous and does not in any way reflect the position of our campaign. We hope that those responsible will retract the statement, apologize for it and move on to more productive pursuits," Kornblau said.
Maddox said in a statement that the ad was "reprehensible and in poor taste" and urged its immediate removal and a formal apology.
State party spokeswoman Allie Merzer said the group is a social club chartered by the state Democratic party but does not receive funds from the state party and did not consult party before the ad was placed. She said the state party was reviewing the club's charter membership.
Ken Reichart, editor and publisher of the Gabber, with a circulation of 13,000, said the club paid $175 for the ad and has advertised in the newspaper periodically for the past two years. He considered not running the ad but chose to publish it because he felt the reference to Rumsfeld was a "figure of speech."
"I didn't get the visual of Ken Steinke, the author of the ad, standing in front of Rumsfeld with an Uzi. I got the picture of the parent saying 'Boy, I want to kill my kid.' It's just a figure of speech."
In retrospect, Reichart said he would not have published the ad because of all the attention it garnered after it appeared in the Internet's Drudge Report. In addition to 300 e-mails, Reichart said it "cost me a day's revenue. We've spent all day answering phone calls from the media."
Is this guy's brain in the right place? His values are wanting.

UPDATE:
I don't know if I'm the first one with this. I was so outraged that I didn't read the comments since yesterday.
This is the headline for this story in the St. Petersburg Times:
Political ad helps Gulfport weekly find world audience
Read the whole thing.

Here is the headline in the Tampa Tribune:
Ad Draws Big Notice To Little Newspaper
Slightly better than the St. Pete Times, but still doesn't tell the story. People browsing the headlines would think this nothing more than a "special interest" story.
Media bias? Naaah!

This call for Rumsfeld's execution prompted another comparative quiz, since the Moonbats seem so fond of them.

I was a juror at a trial in which Lynne Stewart was the defense attorney-- she lost. I don't know if she's considered an effective lawyer or not, but she seems to have an awful lot of spare time for outside projects...
