AMC Founder Pleads Guilty

Fri, Jul 30, 2004 at 9:48:27 am PDT

American Muslim Council founder Abdurahman Alamoudi pled guilty today to charges of illegal business deals with Libya, after admitting that he participated in a plot to murder Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah; the Associated Press calls Alamoudi an “activist:” U.S. Muslim Activist Pleads Guilty.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. - A prominent U.S. Muslim activist who said he participated in a Libyan plot to assassinate Saudi Arabia’s crown prince pleaded guilty Friday to unrelated illegal business deals with Libya.

Abdurahman Alamoudi, 52, pleaded guilty to engaging in prohibited transactions with a foreign country, unlawful procurement of citizenship and impeding administration of the Internal Revenue Service.

Sentencing was set for Oct. 15 in U.S. District Court. Alamoudi faces up to 23 years in prison.

Alamoudi, a founder of the American Muslim Council and related American Muslim Foundation, has said he participated in an assassination plot by Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi against Crown Prince Abdullah but was never charged. No such plot was carried out.

Friday’s guilty plea was unrelated to the alleged scheme, but court documents indicate that his punishment will be increased because he intended to participate in a murder plot related to terrorism.

The article didn't mention it, but I assume since he pleaded guilty to "unlawful procurement of citizenship" that he is a U.S. citizen, and that he'll be stripped of his U.S. citizenship and deported once his prison term is over.

When Alamoudi was first arrested, his palm pilot had contact information for 7 designated "terrorists" by the US Government. His initial indictment was on 18 different charges. He's got a lot more to face that this single plea.

Senior Palestinian figures have lately been telling Prime Minister Sharon that they expect him to raze the settlements that Israel evacuates. They argue that if the settlers' houses remain intact, Arafat's people will take them over, after handing out due portions to rival factions. The "intifada aristocracy" will turn all of Gush Katif into the most exclusive suburb in the Strip and reap the fruits of the evacuation without sharing any of the booty with the population at large.

Under pressure from Arafat, the Palestinian leadership has announced that the PA alone will inherit the settlements. That should be taken as a warning. If those same corrupt bureaucratic bodies become "responsible" for the settlements, then the state of chaos will spill over from the rest of Gaza into the evacuated areas as well, and the most aggressive will tear off pieces of what used to be the Katif bloc for themselves. Excellent article. Charles, please add this as a topic. One passage I found particularly interesting:

The document proposes the nomination of an International High Commissioner, a kind of U.N. pasha to rule Iraq for an unspecified period. But we are long past that in Iraq. The Iraqis have an interim government and are preparing for elections within six months. So, who is going to impose a new pasha on them, and how?

The action of just one splodeydope would send the pasha packing.

For the most part just a regurgitation of Jimmuh's failed "wishful thinking" foreign policy.

Projecting waaaayyy into the future (bear with me, folks): Kerry would like to get one of those Nobel prizes. Ugh.

If we are not careful we'll end up like France:

There are three main kinds of anti-Semitism in France. There is the old, ingrained, Catholic kind, that put Captain Dreyfus on Devil's Island and that still produces, in polite conversations at middle-class dining tables, the kind of remarks you would never hear in London or New York. A new kind is that of the intellectual left, whose anti-Israeli polemics are interpreted, by extension and by association, as in essence anti-Semitic. Thirdly, there is the nastiest, the most violent and the most visible kind: the anti-Semitism of disaffected youths, mainly of North African origin. The common consensus is that this last kind of anti-Semitism is responsible for almost all of the 510 physical or verbal assaults registered against Jews in the first six months of 2004 and the 593 registered in the whole of 2003 in France.

The real time-bomb quietly ticking away at the heart of 21st century French society is not anti-Semitism, but France's absolute failure to properly integrate its Muslim community (estimated at 5-6 million strong). France has created a genuine racial underclass, living in decaying, crime-ridden estates in which France has sadly come to specialize. The problem of failed Muslim integration in France is made 100 times worse by the nation's profound inability to recognize it.

This is from the Guardian.

And everyone's favorite Hamas advocate advocate is on the Alamoudi payroll.

From Pipes' update scroll down:

July 30, 2004 update: "Mr. Alamoudi plans to plead guilty on Friday to three charges related to illegal business dealings with Libya, failure to disclose past international contacts when he became a naturalized citizen and a tax-related offense," reports the New York Times. His lawyer, Stanley Cohen, assures that "Abdurahman acknowledges that he was involved in a situation that was very harmful to Saudi interests, and he is extraordinarily contrite and ashamed about it, and he's conflicted and confused as to how this all came to pass." Well, he'll have plenty of time in the Big House to figure that one out.

From September of 2001: AMC and CAIR are "part of the problem" -- Salon, noted "VRWC" source

But reporters are learning it's not easy to find leaders who can authentically speak for Muslim Americans, who represent a wide variety of ethnicities and languages, sects and political views ranging from completely secular to Islamic fundamentalist. CAIR and AMC in particular would not be chosen as representatives by many Muslims. In fact, there are those in American Muslim communities as well as law enforcement who consider CAIR and the AMC to be part of the problem, because both have been seen as tacitly -- if not explicitly -- supportive of extremist groups guilty of terrorism.

Can we deport them yet?

It's sad because the nice Muslim man and woman I just saw at Subway -- sorry, wife's request -- are going to suffer from funny looks as long as their "spokespersons" are terrorists.

The Washington Post wrote:

His arrest last September shook the U.S. Muslim community and reverberated through Washington's political elite. As leader of the American Muslim Council, Alamoudi met on occasion with senior Clinton and Bush administration officials. He also helped found the Pentagon's Muslim chaplain program and is particularly well known in the Muslim community of Northern Virginia, where he helped run a number of charities and political groups

As expected, the Post is back-pedaling Alamoudi's relationship with the Clinton Administration. The article The Clintons, Abdurahman Alamoudi, and the Myth of "Moderate" Islam describes the close relationship Alamoudi had with the Clintons, saying that he had "repeated high-level contacts with the Clinton White House in late 1995 and early 1996."

This has been referenced on LGF several times already. It's also making the "email chain letter" round -- I've received three copies o far. It's already a well-known article. The reason it's not being picked up by the mainstream media is that it's patently fake. I have an extremely highly-tuned "fake news story" detector because I may or may not either now or in the past have worked in newsmedia editorial, and I know news style. I also have studied academically modern folklore and urban legends and have read and analyzed thousands of fake stories. And I say this: this story is completely phony. Totally made up. There are a million little giveaway clues, like a government official using the phrase "looney tunes" to describe Bush. Riiiight. That's believable. Another giveaway clue is reporting of specific details and events that very few people could have been a witness to, and those that could have been wouldn't describe it as it was described in this article.

It's just a wishful-thinking fantasy piece that lefties can chortle over and quote to each other, knowing full well even to themselves that it's not true. Don't worry about this affecting any undecided voters or reaching the mainstream press.

Here is the American Muslim Council's profile from their Western New York chapter; the national website is listed as being up for sale but I think that it has just been hacked. What is apparent when you read the profile is that they are devoted to achieving a Muslim power base in the United States. And of course, what is the first thing that they will do with that power base? They will go after the Jooooooos, specifically Israel. In a recent article in the Globe and Mail, Mohammed El Masry of the Canadian Islamic Congress stated that one of the first objectives of the Canadian Islamic Congress was to curtail the activities of a group of Federal MPs who lobby for Israel. The objectives that they have for Canada and the US are exactly the same as those that they have for Europe. In Europe, however, their goals are much more advanced. They have already convinced the majority of European governments, if not he European populace, that Jews are evil. They have also subverted European government policies. /sarcasm on If the Jews control the world, they are doing a damn poor job of defending their interests. /sarcasm off Also, the aims of the CIC are much the same as for the AMC; I will place those in my next post.

Speaking to a small crowd of predominately Arab worshippers (since most iranians are leaving islam ),one of the Devil of the Carter-created Islamic Republic threatens the US...

Emami Kashani: US Would Collapse

Mullahs ask the Americans to vote for Kerry

See the pic here

Keep in mind that the above is the official website of the Islamic Republic News Agency and whereas you read "thousands of worshippers" you would better not believe this..

Tehran -- Tehran substitute Friday prayer leader Ayatollah Mohammad Emami-Kashani said here that the United States would collapse, just like Gengiz Khan's Empire did in the old world.

Kashani, addressing thousands of Tehrani worshipers at Tehran University's campus, added, "the United States, resorting to misleading the world public opinion and phony phrases, pushes forth its malign objectives at global level.

He added, "the Americans, for instance, resort to all types of terrorist acts in the name of promoting democracy and freedom, and then call such acts a phase in international campaign against terrorism."

The Friday prayers leader further stressed, "in the name of campaign against terrorism, the Americans commit all kinds of inhumane acts at any part of the world they choose and at any time they wish."

Emami-Kashani said that the global arrogance, in general, is a world in which gold, military power, and misleading the public opinion always rule, posing the question, "I seriously wonder why the American nation remains silent in the face of so much inhumane deeds."

He reiterated, "criminal and oppressive regimes can not last long, and therefore the United States would definitely collapse as the Mongols captured vast territories, but were forced to retreat."

Referring to detainment and trial of former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hossein, Kashani said, "Saddam who acted as if he was quite drunken with power in dealing with various countries, is now chained and going through a prosecution."

The Ayatollah said, "history would judge quite negatively against the United States.

Touching on Iran's peaceful nuclear projects, he said, "the Islamic Republic of Iran's efforts aimed at mastering nuclear technology is aimed at scientific, economic, and industrial objectives, but the west keeps posing the question, what is Iran's real intentions in insisting upon achieving scientific mastery in that field."

He added, "they refrain from announcing openly that they are opposed to Iran's scientific blossoming in modern technologies."

Emami-Kashani further argued, "the continuation of the International Atomic Energy Agency's (IAEA) inspectors' job, too, has proven that Iran's nuclear projects are of a peaceful nature."

The interim Friday prayers leader of Tehran meanwhile focussed on cultural on slaught of the west against the youth", arguing, "all crimes committed by the global arrogance against mankind are merely aimed at depriving the youth of sound reasoning capability."

Ayatollah Emami-Kashani added, "an addict or a hedonist youth easily yield to a foreign attack, even against his own home."

He advised the youth to recognize the plots hatched by "the enemy" against them, and not to fall prey to the various traps speared by the west to enslave them.

The Ayatollah also commemorated the anniversary of the first Friday prayers of Tehran, led by late Ayatollah Seyed Mahmoud Taleqani on July 21, 1979, upon an order issued by the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran Imam Khomeini.

It is interesting that "pro-Islamist groups had been scheduled to meet with President Bush on the morning of September 11".

One wonders: Was it a planned attempt to enable al Quida to pinpoint Bush's location on that morning?

bunuel:

Do you know who Abdurahman Alamoudi is?

Don't you think you should be asking him, and those who stuck up for him, if they're ashamed he is an avowed terrorist supporter, let alone a criminal?

Or does that stuff just not phase you.

From today's WaPo story:

Local Muslim leaders have protested the government's prosecution of Alamoudi, portraying him as a moderate with no ties to radical groups. But prosecutors have sketched a different picture in the indictment, alleging that Alamoudi hid his ties to a top leader of the Islamic Resistance Movement, or Hamas, which has been designated a terrorist organization by the U.S. government.

Well, it happens that despite the protestations of his friends that he's a moderate, he does in fact have ties to Hamas. He has admitted as such on several occassions.

He's on the board of directors of UASR, a Hamas-front group founded by then U.S. Hamas political chief Mousa Abu Marzook, who's now the #2 Hamas figure worldwide, running the show out of the Damascus headquarters.

And then there's this fun nugget:

Alamoudi, who attended an anti-Israel protest outside the White House on October 28, 2000. Alamoudi revved up the crowd, saying: " I have been labeled by the media in New York as being a supporter of Hamas. Anybody supporters of Hamas here? " The crowd cheered. " Hear that, Bill Clinton? We are all supporters of Hamas ... I wish they added that I am also a supporter of Hezbollah. " (Both groups are on the State Department’s official list of terrorist organizations.)

OT, reopening the New Zealand link, that country's Foreign Minister expressed his support for a visit by David Irving to that country. (Fortunately, that was before he found out that Irving was refused a visa to travel to NZ - two cheers for its Immigration people.)

Mr Irving is, as many will know, a British Holocaust denier, an anti-Semite and a supporter of neo-Nazis (the British High Court judgement in Irving's failed defamation case said so). Irving was deported from Germany and Canada for his hateful views. He's since been banned from a number of countries.

What's interesting to read is that Irving stated, concerning the Israelis convicted (but appealing) in the recent passport affair, that the NZ Prime Minister "seems to have balls".

So, we have the NZ Prime Minister now loved and admired by Hamas and David Irving. Presumably, to achieve the jackpot, all she needs is an endorsement by Jacques Chirac (no, wait a bit, she's already had her hand kissed by that chap!). (Bells, sirens and flashing lights. Jackpot - she wins a senior position at the UN!!).

Jul 29, 2004

TEHRAN - An Iranian man convicted of raping an 11-year-old girl has been hanged publicly in a square in the southern city of Kerman, the conservative Jomhuri Islami newspaper reported Thursday.

The man, identified as 24-year-old Hamid Reza Z., raped the girl in March. The report gave no further details. The crimes of murder, armed robbery, rape, apostasy and serious drug trafficking carry the death penalty in Iran.

NOTE: It's to note that the Islamic regime uses often false labels for qualifying its armed opponents and especially those who have retaliated against the brutality of the young Bassij force involved in Iranian universities and acting as student.

Other qualifications, such as, "Bandit", "Hooligan", "Spy", "Drug Trafficker" or "Rapist" are used as well and which help the regime's European and Japanese collaborators to justify the continuation of their business relations with a repressive regime.

We will direct every resource at our command -- every means of diplomacy, every tool of intelligence, every instrument of law enforcement, every financial influence, and every necessary weapon of war -- to the disruption and to the defeat of the global terror network. ....

There is no such thing as "religion" in islamic thought. islam, by it's own definition and by the definition of its leading scholars, is an all-encompassing social, political, spiritual, personal and intellectual worldview that does not leave room for or even allow any other lifestyles.

The point is presenting islam in its own words, and through its visible manifistations. It you thin that's hateful towards islam . . . you are partially right. It shows that islam is vile, brutal, ignorant and debasing.

The bottom line is that the first goal of almost all of these Islamic groups is to secure unrestricted immigration of Muslims; the second goal is to quash all criticism of Islam; the third goal is to achieve political power; the fourth goal is to destroy Israel; the fifth goal is to take over other Western countries. They don't even have the presence of mind to lie about these objectives. Taqiyya for some of them only extends so far. In 1990, the Canadian Census recorded us as having around 100,000 Muslims. The 2000 census recorded us as having around 600,000. At that rate, the next census will record us as having 1,100,000 muslims, along with their incredible birth rates. Soon, it will be too late for Canada. We will become a Muslim country right on the United States doorstep. I would welcome a US invasion at this point. Please invade and take us over.

Some of them do, actually, but they eventually slip up.

Alamoudi was particularly open about it, though, on occasions where a reasonable individual should have known better.

My guess is because he's not Arab, but rather Ethiopian, and felt left out and wanted to climb the Jew/Zionist-hating ladder in as quick a fashion as possible. It worked too, until he shot himself in the foot.

2) and 3) are because of taqiyya.

Until the MMM openly discusses this strategy, obviously employed in nations where Muslims are a small minority like the U.S., there is no "true Islam" as the AMC terms it. All we see is takiya ("to kill you" in redneck: pneumonic device) from their spokespersons.

You'll never see any Islamic spokesperson who is female except in takiya nations. You will never hear any Muslim spokesperson address people who have a real knowledge of Islamic holy texts exept as "islamophobe," "racist," or "unfair." That is, if they don't sue you or demand your resignation.

Muslims do not "debate" the way we think of it in free nations. It is up to the "moderate Muslims" (unicorns) to speak out more forcefully. They don't talk much out of fear of their own extremists, the thinking goes. Engendering some fear of Americans is the only strategy with any utility. It's a fear-based culture. From the way they treat their women, behadings to make a "point," to the belief one cannot discuss the Koran intellectually, Muslims don't respond to reason.

A stroll through the LGF archives...

Soliman S. Biheiri, arrested in an investigation of Saudi-sponsored Islamic charities in Northern Virginia, was also a member of the advisory board of the American Muslim Council

Three men have been arrested for illegally transferring money to Yemen... WGRZ in Buffalo says Albanna is also a vice president of the American Muslim Council

...the American Muslim Council is mounting a vigorous defense of Palestinian Islamic Jihad leader Sami al-Arian

Howard Fienberg airs the dirty laundry (and man, is it ripe) of the American Muslim Council, the terror-linked group meeting in Washington DC.

Jamal Barzinji, whose Virginia house and business were raided by federal authorities in an anti-terrorism investigation three months ago, is on the American Muslim Council board and will be on the podium at the forthcoming AMC conference.

Why hasn't Robert Mueller been fired considering he's called the American Muslim Council “the most mainstream Muslim group in the United States” and has given a speech to them. As if all the FBI bumbling before 9-11 wasn't enough for change at the top of the department, the fact that Mueller can't recognize the AMC for the terrorist front it is strikes me as insane. I might buy the line about 'keeping your enemies closer' if there hadn't been so many articles about a clueless FBI that is not up to the task of keeping us alive.

This Alamoudi, now awaiting sentence for conspiracy to murder a foreign diplomat, was once maneouvreing his colleague Ibrahim Cooper of CAIR closer to the current president through a mutual friendship he had with Grover Norquist and Mr. Norquist's friendship with Karl Rove.

Subsequently, CAIR and its director, Ibrahim Cooper, cried racism and protested to the world that the organization CAIR had never been involved with any terrorists or criminals.

First Sami al-Arian, who had introduced Norquist to Alamoudi in Washington was convicted of ties to terrorism and now Alamoudi himself has been convicted, through his own admission, of ties to terrorism and murder.

The article is called: "A Troubling Influence" by Frank Gaffney Jr. Many of you will have read it but for those who haven't it's a real eye opener as to what the Islamists are doing vis-a-vis trying to get closer to the White House. I'm keeping a couple little files of Muslim response to Islamic fascism -- one is "Moderate Muslims" about the genuine article who truly want to be independent western citizens. It's short, just a handful of articles about a few dozen courageous people demonstrating or speaking out.

The other one is text and photos of Muzhole supporters of terrorists. There are plenty of Muzlies who are not shy about scrawling a sign ("Free Sami al-Arian!") and showing up to express free speech rights they would not have in the Stalinist lands of their birth.

In fact, just Wednesday a group rallied in support of a man connected with the Holy Land Foundation, according to La Times.

On Wednesday, about 20 supporters held "Free Hamdan" signs outside the Ronald Reagan Federal Building, where Hamdan is being held without bail. Organizers said they hope to have 500 protesters at the same location Friday.

Today! I hope some media gerbil takes photos. Inquiring minds want to see!

OT: More terrorist threats: this time Islamic nations -- Also: Ukraine to go the way of Phillipines and Spain

"We will strike with an iron fist all the traitors from the Arab governments who cooperate with the Zionists secretly or openly."
A joint Muslim military force would be a political coup for the Bush administration, giving Islamic countries a stake in the future of Iraq and countering recent defections of countries participating in the postwar mission.
Just yesterday, Ukraine became the latest country to hint that it is considering setting an early date to pull its forces out of Iraq. Ukraine's 1,650 soldiers, operating under Polish command in southern Iraq, are the fourth-largest contingent of troops in the coalition.

But Zogby (independent terrorist supporter who polls) assured me just yesterday that 75% of Jews would vote Kerry no matter what. I'm shocked anyone takes him seriously any more.

That's right smart of Kerry. Bring that terrorist son of a bitch to the United States, incarcerate him in one of our domestic jails and bring him before a civilian court for crimes of war. Dumb and dangerous. In the meantime while he's here, the terrorists start kidnapping influential Americans world wide, threatening to behead them unless Usama is released. I can go to the bank with Kerry capitulating and letting that bastard go.
It will be time for a violent impeachment of the seditious and treacherous Mr.Kerry. Which should have taken place when he perjured himself before Congress in '71.
I can't believe that stupid bastard actually said that in a public place where it could be recorded. His insanity grows by leaps and bounds.

End, I'm expecting NHC to declare Bahamas system due to hit Carolinas this weekend a depression in next few minutes, seeing surface pressures near 1010 mb in recon reports, which isn't that low ( I might have missed a lower one) but I've seen several west or southwest wind reports around 20 knots, which means there is a closed surface low.

Yet while there may be some persuasive reasons why 80 percent of Jews will again vote Democratic this fall, if even a few thousand of them go against this norm it could decisively help Bush.

This doesn't just apply to Jews, but I think we all need to sit down with the people in our circles of influence and explain why this election is so important. If you have friends who agree with you, bug them to make sure they are registered and that they actually vote. I don't want to just talk the talk. It could really make all the difference.

From what I hear Alamoudi's gives were a big part of the DoJ slowly dismantling the investigation Operation Green Quest. From the outside it looks like DoJ covering for the Saudis, but it also could be that they're making significant progress with information provided by high level catches like Alamoudi.

Well, I would not take information provided by likes of Alamoudi for granted, and corruborating even partly this type of information takes more than few months. Of course, there is a chance that Alamoudi's capture is by itself intelligence success and was not incidental. Then these developments are a good sign.

The usual 'staffers' to greet the bus with signs but no mob of humanity yearning to be near the candidate. Why not? He's got Ben Affleck along on the bus with him, presumably as a draw to generate some crowds when they arrive, even if the crowd is there to see Ben. That's lame!

I've been doing lots of talking in my area. There is a large Hispanic population here and my neighbors are mostly Puerto Ricans via NY. One admitted to me last night that they always vote Democratic. Always.

I've been printing them out Kerry's voting record and some of the Iraqi blogs. One insisted that we're in Iraq for the oil, so I printed out a graph of where our oil comes from (17% Saudi). Another was talking about how Republicans are for the rich, and Dems for the poor. I printed them that article someone posted here showing the wealth difference between the Kedward and Bush/Cheney camps.

They're starting to avoid me!!!

Here is my game plan:

1) inform as many ordinary people, journalists and politicians as I can regarding the truth about Islam;

2) go on an all out, no holds barred attack on Muslim countries with regard to their not allowing freedom of conscience;

3) go on all out, no holds barred attack on Muslim countries with regard to their treatment of religious minorities;

4) publicly try to enlist the support of Muslim organizations in condemning the lack of freedom of conscience and religious minority rights in their countries; when they ignore me or outright refuse to assist me in that regard, I will ensure that it is a matter of public record (perhaps my own website or blog - where I can post their replies to me publicly). The idea here is to expose their complete and utter hypocrisy, i.e. they want every right for Muslims possible here in the West while at the same time turning a blind eye to how Muslims treat people of other religions in Muslim majority countries. Well, I am sorry that sort of hypocrisy just won't wash with me. Hypocrisy is the homage vice pays to virtue. Well, I am going to make sure that their hypocrisy is a publicly known commodity.

That is more than enough of a game plan for me at the moment. If you can think of anything to add, let me know. I think it is very important to harass our Western politicians into condemning the lack of freedom of conscience and religious minority rights in Muslim countries. The Muslims cannot possibly object to people doing this without risking exposure of their true objectives for Western countries. If religious freedom is a good thing for them here in the West, then why is it not a good thing for people in majority Muslim countries? They can't have it both ways. We have to hit them over the head with these concepts until they start screaming. It is completely unacceptable that they can build a zillion mosques all over the West and freely do Da'wa, while in Saudi Arabia not a single church or synagogue is allowed to exist and all over the Muslim world, religious minorities are persecuted.

Oh, and I just thought of another one. The Mobots are often supported by left leaning Christian church groups such as the Church of the Brethren and the United Church of Canada. I will go after Church groups like those as to why they are not concerned about the fate of their co-religionists in countries like Egypt (e.g. the Copts). Why are they so worried about protecting Muslims from persecution in the West here, when Christians have been and are persecuted in practically every majority Muslim country on earth? They need a very strong wake-up call. And the same for self-hating Jewish groups. What is the matter with them?

So as you can see, there are a lot of things that people can do and most of them you can do without fear of Mobots calling you racist, etc. because how can they publicly say that they are against freedom of conscience and protection of religious minority rights without exposing their true agenda?

So, get to work, Perry. We have a civilization to save.

During the Cold War, whenever a Communist agent was caught violating US law, supporters would accuse DoJ officials of incipient fascism. During the SLOG the mortal enemy follows the same sham discreditation tactics. The following is are essential downloads, if you are interested in learning Islamofascist tactical use of due process and freedom of speech, as means of shielding terrorists from justice:

[Link: www.4law.co.il...]

The arrest of Mr. Alamoudi comes within a sequence of arrests pertaining to Muslims in the US military. The average Muslim in American society sees this as a type of political lynching targeting all American Muslims.

This denial of civil liberty and human rights is what is really anti-American. You may find it somewhere in third world dictatorships where suspicion is enough to have a person executed, where the rule of law is absent, and there is a void of justice. But here? In the United States?

Once-prevalent Muslim belief, shared by Alamoudi, that tolerance and freedom exists in American society, that it is supported by legal guarantees and protected rights for minorities, as well as the general population, and that it is this which makes this country so desirable a place in which to live meant to them that they could overcome the bias against them and could prove their value as residents and citizens. Muslims had come to believe that, in the United States, Islam would be considered on its religious merits and not be regarded as a political target. That the foreign policy of the US has made enemies of Muslims in other parts of the world should not be cause for attack against Muslims at home but a reassessment of that policy or, at a minimum, an understanding of the basis for the anger abroad.

[Link: www.mail-archive.com...]

WASHINGTON, October 24, 2003 (IslamOnline.net) - Few hours after the U.S. Justice Department released an 18-count indictment carrying a
maximum penalty of 105 years' imprisonment if convicted, prominent U.S. Muslim political activist dismissed the whole case as "politically and personally motivated."

A prominent U.S. Muslim political activist, who helped the Pentagon set up its Islamic chaplain program, was charged Thursday, October 23 [2003] with having had financial dealings with Libya, the Justice Department said....

Cold War Communist tactics involved tactical identification of Communist advocacy, with American freedom and democracy, while slandering counter-subversion agencies - FBI, CIA, DI - as if same conducted operations contrary to American values, and under some nominal neo-fascist movement. Communist tactics were snakeoil then; Islamofascist tactics are snakeoil, now. Don't buy the Norquist-spin. Oppose the SLOG, and support REAL-WAR.

Projecting true Islam to the larger American community.

This is the bullet point that scares me most.

172 peace be upon me  Fri, Jul 30, 2004 1:01:56pm

foreign devil #89:
If you read further into the material that you posted, you'll see that Norquist was a paid lobbyist for Almoudi. Lobbyists are registered by law, because they have a fiduciary duty - ie, must act to the benefit - to their principals. Their role is mercenary, and usurous.

The Republican National Committee encouraged Norquist to cultivate Muslim votes, based on their own interests. In fact, as many as 70% of Muslims voted for GWB in 2000, largely due to his anti-profiling campaign statements. Muslim leaders claim, with some merit, that their vote made the difference in 2000. In context of the general lack of awareness of the subversion of liberty and democracy, that is inherent to Muslims, I would allow the defence of ignorance, prior to 9-11 (although I was an advocate of repression of jihadism, 20 years before that day of infamy), the ongoing treatment of most Muslims as benign members of the American community, is indefensible.

The Koranic order, "jihad is prescribed to you," binds ALL Muslims. That community en toto, is a malignant tumor on the body politic of America, and the entire Free World. I would deport ALL West Muslims to the Arabian Peninsula (Jazeera), and let them live with savages like themselves, under permament, verifiable disarmament. Of course, I would give them sayafs (swords) so that they could kill each other. As for Mideast oil: it belongs to its Anglo-American discoverers and developers.

You'll get no argument from me. Deport to the Jazeera and PBUT (peace be upon them) but don't come back, don't phone, don't call!

And another thing--this country (and Canada) were founded on the principles and ethics of Christian even Catholic society. The very words of the Declaration of Independance "created under God" means that our society IS a society with an ethic and a culture every bit as old and valuable as theirs. They are always talking about how venerable and holy Islam is but Christianity is 500 years older and Judaism on which Christianity is based, is thousands of years older than that.

Enough with being forced to venerate all things Muslim. How about some respect for our faith which I personally, deeply believe though I NEVER step inside a church anymore. Everything that happens in Iraq or the Middle East is always in "the most holy place in Islam" or "the second most holy place". Well, how about Christianity which is 500 years older. How about that Temple Mosque on an ancient Christian site (never mind the Jews, they've got lots of holy places); the Palestinians and Jews fight over the Temple Mount but it is also holy to Christians as well, but they are never regarded by Muslims. It's all about them. Everything the Arabs and Muslims complain about, even when it pertains to our rights to venerate our OWN religions or faiths in America, always boils down to being about THEM.

I've had enough of them but that said, that doesn't win the war. You have to play smart and frustrated as we get, with good reason, it's better to keep your head on and stay cool and WIN. Only after we WIN can we finally let go out behind the barn with a primal scream of frustration--a Howard Dean moment!

Second witness to Syrians' behavior on flight 327.

more disturbing details about the Syrian musicians:

The 14 passengers on Flight 327 were detained by the FBI's Terrorism Task Force after the flight and were determined to be a Syrian band booked to play a gig near San Diego with singer Nour Mehana.
Homeland Security officials described the 14 as "just musicians," but freelance writer Heather Wilhelm discovered that Mr. Mehana had recorded a song, "Um El Shaheed," ("Mother of a Martyr") in which he sang the "glorious" praise of a suicide bomber.
