French Government Says Arafat Was Not Poisoned.

Arab world doesn’t want to hear it.

PARIS (Reuters) - The French government insisted on Wednesday that Yasser Arafat was not poisoned and Le Monde newspaper quoted doctors as saying he suffered from an unusual blood disease and a liver problem.

Uncertainty surrounds the cause of the Palestinian president’s death in a Paris military hospital last week because French law prevents doctors releasing details about his condition without permission from the next of kin.

The government stood by its refusal to provide any details, despite speculation among Palestinians that Arafat was poisoned by Israel and a request for more information by Palestinian leaders. Israeli officials deny poisoning him.

Uh, it serves the purposes of the French to let the libel stand that the Jews poisoned Arafat. Besides, plenty of people came and went from his hovel, it's not like none of them could bring him a sandwich and a Mecca Cola. Also makes one wonder how the crafty usurpers could know which bottle of French water Arafat would choose out of a case, while everyone else there is fit as a fiddle.

Would be far more likely that if he were poisoned, it would be by Jordyptians who saw themselves as gaining from his passing.

Nah, it was AIDS, which explains the stone coffin. Don't want any of the little shahids getting sick from playing with his body parts like we've seen before. But at least word is out that dying of old age and/or disease counts as "martyrdom" too. Might be a nice line to use on the Hamascide recruiters. "Nah, I wanna grow up, get married, watch tv and hang out. I can do all that without the bomb belt and eventually be a martyr just like Arafat."

One problem: all the conclusions are the same. Car accident? "Dirty Zionists." House blows up at random moment? "Dirty Zionists." Falafel stand loses a wheel? "Dirty Zionists."

BTW, what does all of this mean? Nada, as the 'fat is still dead, the Palestinians continue to seek Israel's destruction, and Palestinian civil war v. 1.0 is under way.

NATO invites Israel to joint maneuvers for first time

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization has invited Israel to take part in a series of multinational military exercises and anti-terror maneuvers, in what marks the first time the Israel Defense Forces has received such an invitation.

And

Mofaz wraps up official visit to Poland

During his official visit to Poland, Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz on Wednesday invited Poland's Minister of Interior Ryszard Klisz to send a delegation to Israel to study upfront the steps and technologies used by the IDF to secure Israel's borders, including the security fence separating the West Bank from Israel.

Mofaz's offer came during a meeting with Klisz who stressed the importance of securing his country's eastern border and setting up border control checkpoints and 30 control centers, which he described as necessary steps Poland must take in light of its recent acceptance as a member of the European Union.

Earlier Wednesday, Mofaz signed a memorandum with Jerzy Hausner the Polish Minister of Finance to enhance industrial ties between the two countries. Speaking to reporters Hausner described the memorandum as important, saying it will both lead to the modernization of Poland and allow his country's economy to move forward.

"We require serious partners, not only partners who will sell us advanced weaponery but also partners who will assist us in research and development. We found those partners in Israel," he said.

Too bad the humiliating cause of his death--in the Muslim world, anyway--will probably never be released by the French. Since Suha Arafat's deal is that she'll never release the records in return for the millions to be kept flowing to her.

Maybe some day the Paleos will be courageous enough to cut off the blackmail $$, let the truth come out, admit that Israel had nothing to do with it and spend the money on building a viable representative government.

I had read elsewhere that the docs said that the 'fat had cirrhosis of the liver not caused by alcohol abuse.

Hmmm. What grounds are there for ruling out alcohol abuse as a cause of the cirrhosis, other than the word of his associates that Arafat "only drank water"? Although alcoholism might be less embarrassing for a leader of Arab Muslims than playing hide-the-zucchini with hunky bodyguards, it's not something that his would-be hagiographers would care to be reminded of.

(Speaking of hagiography, Kemal Atatürk died of cirrhosis, but neither this nor the drinking that brought it on was a secret in Turkey, despite the carefully preserved cult of personality that was attached to his name.)

From what is said/not being said, we can assume the following:

1. Obviously, Araftat was NOT poisoned. If the Fwench had any evidence that he had been posioned (and/or that Israel was responsible), releasing this evidence would be at the top of their agenda. It would make her masters so proud.

2. Further, the UN would also by now be actively involved. Central to their mission and raison d'être is to discredit and eventually destroy the Jewish state (and the Jews), so they would have siezed instantly upon this opportunity (and sugar-coating the horrors of Darfur gets oh-so-boring).

The very idea of "posioned" in this capacity has such a Medieval ring to it, does it not? What's next? The Zionists must return the Philosopher's Stone? Only the Umma would even think in these 9th c terms.

Fwance is such a good little dhimmi, isn't she? The best. She's Allah's favorite concubine. Unfortunately, Fwance cannot tell her master's that they shouldn't clamor so loudly for the "truth": they may not like the answer.

64 lawhawk  Wed, Nov 17, 2004 7:48:13am

I have probably been rather glib in saying that Palestinian civil war v. 1.0 is underway. If anything we probably are witnessing v.1.1 at the moment.

v.1 was the few months where Arafat actually killed/imprisoned a few of his opponents in the mid 90s, particularly members of Hamas who challenged Arafat too openly.

v.1.1 started with the attempted assassination of abu mazen and hamas and PIJ both said they wouldn't abide by abu's calls for peace.

The best plugin right now is the use of IDF Eliminatorware v.2004.11, which includes targetware, spyware, and munitionware designed to ferret out jihadis, mullahs, and islamofascists with aplomb.

#54 Throbert McGee: I would assume that the reason they ruled out alcohol as a cause was that the pathologies of cirrohosis of the liver by alcohol differs from non-alcoholic causes. Either that, or the docs relied on the patient history, personal statements from Arafat's advisors who provided the information. If that's the case, those same personal statements and from the advisors could have been covering up for some not so-Islamic activities. /not a doc, but having fun playing one on the 'net :)

68 Studsup  Wed, Nov 17, 2004 7:50:50am

If the Arab world really believes that Chirac and the French are covering up for the alleged Zionist poison-murder of Arafat, shouldn't they riot and commit acts of murder, mayhem and terror throughout France until the French government tells them what they want to hear? Yep, that would be the ticket.

No, I don't think that even the Arabs believe that lie, but they are compelled to promote it for a while anyhow because of their solemn religious obligation to incite hatred for Jews. It will fade only to be replaced by laying on Israel the blame for the soon-to-come deaths of a score of Pali leaders and assassins killed in their own little gangland style civil war.

69 GordonWalker  Wed, Nov 17, 2004 7:51:56am

There has been a lot of talk in the french media about the possibility that Arafat was poisoned but it is currently being suggested that these allegations are directed not so much against the Israelis as such but against some of his close associates(who were of course in the pay of the jews). This would justify a purge within Al Fatah.

The swarms of millions flew high above tall towers or swooped down onto treelined streets, where scared pedestrians stamped on them or ran for cover.

The flying insects arrived from neighboring Libya after devouring the countryside in central and western Africa in past months. But locust experts said they were unlikely to wreak similar havoc in Egypt, where agriculture is a cornerstone of the economy.

"This is really horrible," said one man as he ran past a building where locusts, some of them more than 3 inches (7.6 cm) long, smacked into office windows or landed on cars.

#81 krazyk...

Your link is about the documents having been forged and fooling the U.S. government. That means they were not lying but had been taken in by the forgery. Thanks for supplying the link.

BTW it's from 2003. Since then they figure the forgeries were done by the government of ... ??? any guesses?

FRANCE. (Sorry no links . I read that a while ago and didn't care if it was true or not. If France didn't do it it's only because they never thought of it. You should move there.)

... off for another sip of Scotch to quell my stream of conchoness

The souls of Arafat's little boys coming back to plague Pharaoh?
I will spill a drop of rosé in remembrance.

Sadly, David, I do not think you are ready to sit at the big table yet. Finish political science 101, take a logic course, and consider restarting your adderal Rx.

The blood/liver connection could have been Hepatitis.

He certainly looked jaundiced for long time before.

Hep C can be fatal.

Every time Israel is accused of poisoning Arafat, they rush to deny.

At best they should keep quiet. The Arabs don't believe them anyway and I would like to keep entertaining the hope that they did justifiably execute the bastard for his crimes.

Hate to believe he just died naturally.

(OT) No Blood For Chocolate

The French sure do enjoy murdering unarmed Africans! They've been raping and pillaging various African countries for decades. Now they're murdering Africans because the French want to control the cocoa crop. For shame, Mr. Chirac, for shame!

In his defense he said:

"the
Oompa-Loompas were a tribe of 3,000 amiable black pygmies who
have been imported by Mr. Willy Wonka from 'the very deepest and
darkest part of the African jungle where no white man had been
before.' Mr. Wonka keeps them in the factory, where they have
replaced the sacked white workers. Wonka's little slaves are
delighted with their new circumstances, and particularly with
their diet of chocolate. Before they lived on green caterpillars,
beetles, eucalyptus leaves, 'and the bark of the bong-bong
tree.'"

Hmm... Hep C. Interesting. Prison populations are interesting study groups with their Hep C epidemic. Of course, there is a high concurrence of HIV/HCV in that population, too. I'm off to search.

I don't know about the other Jews on LGF, but I am sure tired. What with controlling GW, congress, the STate Dept, the Ivory coast, poisoning Arafart, trying to assasinate Abu Abbas, running the worlds banks, controlling minds and doing all these other things we Jews are accused of doing.
Perhaps if we took a break and just let world peace happen, people might forget about us?

/sarcasm alert

D'onofrio sounds like he is suffering from Vasal Vegal sycope (not sure of spelling) fainting when blood pressure drops, I had that problem for years, went to hospital four or five times. Then a couple of years ago, it went away, no problems since.
or he could be terminal BDS :)

HCV/HIV and Syphilis From the Maryland Department of Corrections:

Of HCV infected inmates, 88.7% have sentences > 1 year. HBV infection rate was 2.4%, and 70.5% were identified as HBV susceptible. Of the HIV positive, 64.6% were co-infected with HCV. Eleven percent of the HCV infected are HIV positive.

Only 1% had syphilis.

How in the world did anyone on LGF miss this one?

Unbelievable...well, actually very believable.

I heard on radio that a large Canadian flag was very much in evidence at the actual fun_eral.

What the hell's going on? Maybe they just ran short of Paleostain flags. Maybe Jews Zionists stole the flags.

Didn't this lizard die of AIDS?

If Israel wanted him dead they would've leveled his compound long ago. Just as Sheik Yassin, he'll tell you...Wait a tick, nevermind, I forgot he got blown out of a perfectly good wheelchair earlier this year.

So the Fr-wrench & the Canadians?...hmmm

I guess that isn't sooo surprising...doesn't 1/2 of Canada want to be part of France anyway.

However, I don't want anyone to miss what is in the above photo.
---Those aren't Arab or European diplomats marching goosestep displaying the French flag...it is FATAH Terrorists.

---Just in case anyone was wondering what side France was on, I guess that photo might help.

According to James Taranto on Best of the Web today, the info about Arafat's liver came from the French satirical magazine, Le Canard Enchaine. I think that casts some doubt on its validity. But hey, I head Mad Magazine may have a few theories on the subject.

Things keep adding up.

Bush re-elected. Arafat sleeps with the fishes. Powell quits to do the dishes. Fallujah flattened.

And now locusts swarm the north african arab world.

Maybe there is a god?

107 Maine's Michael  Wed, Nov 17, 2004 11:25:46am

Yassin got the undignified death he deserved. Arafat got off waaay too easy.

108 mjk  Wed, Nov 17, 2004 12:50:43pm

I just read somewhere that there is going to be a Palestinian probe into that man's death. Who wants to start the "Israel poisoned him" pool?

109 Lord Ilpalazo  Wed, Nov 17, 2004 4:19:38pm

Arafat donated blood to the victims of Sept 11. So if he died of AIDS, would the French government really admit it? Would they really want Americans to know that this is the type of guy they support?

110 mjk  Wed, Nov 17, 2004 4:28:23pm

The blood that man donated after Sept 11th would have never been used anyway because he had Parkinsons. A disease like that instantly disqualifies one from actually donating blood.

From what I've seen and read, I think that there's a very real possibility that fat could have been suffering from a form of myelodysplasia, which is a severe disorder of the blood cell creation process that produces malformed red and white blood cells. These cells circulate in the blood stream but deteriorate and die rather rapidly, resulting in all sorts of unpleasant and often unpredictable complications.

Myelodysplasia is in the same family of blood diseases as aplastic anemia and leukemia, and can progress to leukemia or be its own cause of death. My father had this disease. When you think of these diseases, think of bad bone marrow. The only known cure for myelodysplasia is a bone marrow transplant, otherwise it is 100% fatal. Unfortunately for my father, he was too old to qualify for this operation.

There is growing evidence that exposure to high levels of benzene may be a very significant cause of this disease. Since my Dad worked in the petroleum industry and even worked at refineries during strikes, the chances of him having been exposed to high benzene levels was rather large.

Aids may also cause susceptibility these illnesses, btw, and having cirrhosis would only make the chance of such a disease taking root that much more likely.

That's my .02 worth...
