-RetweetCynthia McKinney on Military Recruitment

Thu, Mar 24, 2005 at 4:45:37 pm PST

Here’s Representative Cynthia McKinney (D-Moonbat) giving a talk sponsored by International ANSWER in a small church; tonight’s topic is how to put an end to military recruitment. (Thanks to ProtestWarrior for the video.)

I was gonna say about the military recruitment... We, um, tried to offer an amendment to strike the 1.1 billion dollars that’s in the defense budget for recruitment.

...

If it’s a truly voluntary military, they don’t need to spend a billion dollars to get our children.

...

So, we also need to be in these schools, teaching the juniors and the seniors about making sure they fill out the [Selective Service] forms so that they can document their conscientious objector status now.

Scientology, how about that? You hold on to the tin cans and then this guy asks you a bunch of questions, and if you pay enough money you get to join the master race. How's that for a religion? -- Concert at the Rockpile, Toronto, May 1969
