You better go through with it, Zuniga, or your party will never sever themselves from psychos like you, and will remain the underdog for years to come.

So, even with the possibilty of tens of thousands dying in LA and hundreds of thousands more being left without homes or even basic services for weeks/months/years, Zuniga is still going through with his plan to put the US Gov't into turmoil in the name of inter-party disputes?
Never let it be said that the Left doesn't have their priorities in order.

They're not that lame.
P.S. Robert Shaw's been dead for a long time. Don't worry about apologizing.

I asked this before for anyone who might want to make a guess...does Kos plan fall on Labor Day? (Suspect symbolism of the communist type). Why else a countdown? Then of course, any guesses as to how he expects to humble the DLC?
Does Kos know something about the inside skinny on DLC antics?
Inquiring minds ... normally wouldn't care, but are suspicious.

Rancho Cucamonga and President Bush: It could happen
OK, I admit to growing up in Rancho Cucamonga and therefore I find this interesting (of course it was just plain old Cucamonga back then). Where is Jack Benny when you need him....

Daniel Dennett on Intelligent Design
Another confession: Dennett is imho brilliant. And as is his norm, makes the case against intelligent design extremely well.

Charles is inflicting so much anticipation on me.
It's gonna really be a let down if the day comes, and we find out that Kos had absolutely nothing on mind at all.
No evil ray guns, no bringing back Walter Mondale, or cloning the brain of Harry S. Truman... if Kos just forgets the whole thing, I'm gonna be soooooo disappointed.
(Come to think of it, my idea of cloning Harry Truman's brain may actually be a great thing for the Democratic party, and the country as a whole. Hmmmmm....)

How many want to bet that, at the last minute, Kos gives them an extra 7 days or so?
I mean, look how much attention he's received already! We all know that Kos has a sponge for an ego, how could he resist more attention?

Big Bear? Population 30,000/1,000 type of place. Very pretty and the Bnei Akiva camp used to be there too. I think I heard that they sold it though.

I get this feeling that, 7 days from now, Kos will step up to the podium and admit to the masses that he was lying out his ass and there's no great plan to bring the DLC down. Notice how, since his mystery announcement 7 days ago, he hasn't said anything since.

you know that's not a bad idea. We should get a poll or something going so we can guess what he does. MY money is on him announcing that he hasn't had gas in the past four years (it's been known to happen to moonbats who tightly squeeze their buttcheecks together in response to Bush's "evil" policies) and then engage in a McCarthy-esque campaign to root out democrats who do still have gas. If they can fart, they have no heart!

Mornin Everyone!
This is weird. I googled "Daily Kos" this morning to see if I could find anything on the "secret plan" and I found this:
[Link: www.dailykos.com%2F&search_type=title...]
Blogshares? What the heck is that?
Anyway, on this page it says on 8-22 "press release"
"daily kos has suffered a huge setback with several analysts urging their clients to ditch the stock....the exact nature of customer dissatifaction is not known...."
The price dropped from B$204 to B$124...is the B like Monopoly money?
Wasn't 8-22 the day the Kos "plan" was reveiled? LOL

I also found this:
[Link: www.actblue.com...]
"ActBlue" The online clearinghouse for grassroots action.
"Our Mission
ActBlue is the universal Democratic bundler. We enable anyone — individuals, grassroots groups, and millions-strong organizations — to use the best practices of EMILY's List and MoveOn to fundraise for the Democratic candidates and causes of their choice. With ActBlue, together these fundraisers can raise otherwise untapped millions for Democratic campaigns and progressive causes"
History
July-August, 2005 — In just two weeks, over $500,000 come through ActBlue.com for the Paul Hackett campaign in the August 2 OH-02 special election. (Average contribution: $50.) These funds were raised by the blogosphere, Democracy for America, and many other grassroots communities and networks; see some of the fundraising pages here, here, here, and here.
daily kos is mention here:
August-September, 2004 — ActBlue's users grow to include widely-read bloggers Daily Kos and Atrios, and the 100,000-member True Majority Action PAC.
Also this old article:
[Link: www.spectator.org...]
"Moreover, in the interest of full disclosure, shouldn't someone ask Howard Dean if Kos is still shilling for him now that Dean is a candidate for DNC Chair? Kos claims to have folded his consulting outfit, but let's just say his credibility is shot.
Lest this seem like too much guilt by association, consider that as chairman of the Democrat Nation Committee, Howard Dean would be given the authority to hire scores of employees, consultants, and advisers to rebuild his party and combat the Republicans. The hiring of Markos Moulitsas Zúniga shows Dean has neither the judgment nor the temperament to fill those positions responsibly. "

Interestin' link. Just searched for and found LGF listed. And the stock value is just under $1mil. Wonder if it'd shoot up if Charles claimed it, as Zunigas has for Kos?

22 Rayra:
Here's hoping Kos' plan amounts to nothing more than climbing on the roof of his yellow clapboard shitbox to wave the Red flag, and that he then manages to fall off his roof and impale himself on the flagpole.

In regards to that link... I am the last person to understand stocks and such; but this looks strange to me. Is it real? Or a virtual money fantasy game or something?

With Howard Dean as their skipper, does the conventional Dem navy need an insurgent pirate such as Daily Kos to shipwreck itself further?
I heard Kerry's 2004 campaign manager Mary Beth Cahill talked about that titanic disaster on C-Span this weekend. (She was director of EMILY's list and also Teddy Chappaquidick Kennedy's chief of staff before taking on Kerry's sinking ship.)

Is he going to?
1. Adorn himself as a Buddhist monk and go fireball.
2. Attack DNC headquarters and screw them Fallujah style.
3. Release his archive of Ted Kennedy photos giving swimming lessons to young girls.
4. Reveal that he and Sen. Dodd are lovers.
5. Marry the former Mrs. Sheehan.
Grrooovy baby.

From the looks of it, it's one of the various fantasy sites out there now, giving people the chance to play around in a field that they normally wouldn't have anything to do with.

1. Adorn himself as a Buddhist monk and go fireball.
G-d-willing...
2. Attack DNC headquarters and screw them Fallujah style.
Considering the current crop of moonbats, he'll be lucky if he gets enough guys to egg the front of the building.
3. Release his archive of Ted Kennedy photos giving swimming lessons to young girls.
Pray such horrors do not come to pass.
4. Reveal that he and Sen. Dodd are lovers.
Well, there went my lunch.
5. Marry the former Mrs. Sheehan.
Ah, a match made in Hell.

I think kos' secret is dressing up like Plankton from SpongeBob and he does this in private sitting in front of his computer. He is going to come out and wear it at all times now.
Plankton always has a plan!

Yes that's what I thought too.
Kos can tank even in a fantasy world. That's comforting! LOL

I like how the Dems always make reference to Republican's playing soldier in the Hummers. (See comments in the DailyKos post) Yes, there are significantly more Republicans who own Hummers than Democrats. However, the ownership of SUVs by Democrats is also very high BUT they tend to buy foreign brands vehicles, as opposed to those made in America like Hummer.

Reading all the posts with interest....
I haven't paid much attention, so I need some help straightening this out...
Kos is raging against the DLC, right?
So, who's on that right now? What does that mean politically within the Dem Party?
Who is on the DNC?
Is this a Dean wing taking on the Hillary wing?
Is Kos a Dean man or Clintonista?
Is Kos quiet because he is getting smacked down by who he thought was his side or he spilled the beans in his immature enthusiasm...? I don't know. Kos was trusted with talking point distribution/press releases before, but the Left isn't really known for loyalty...
Are the Long Knives out as factions are poised to battle for supremacy or is it nothing?
Will check back...
