Sweden threatened with jihad

A group using the name of Iraqi jihad group Ansar al-Sunnah has released videos showing what it claims are members training for terror attacks in the Swedish countryside.

In one video, dated August 8 2005, the group says that viewers are about to see a “demonstration of the high explosives device, that we will use in the name of Allah.”

“This was recorded somewhere in Sweden,” says a message on the video in yellow letters against military camouflage colors.

A large explosion is then seen in a heavily wooded area. While it is not possible to verify the location of the explosion, the scenery does appear to be northern European.

A second video by the group, which is dated August 29, contains images of men with blurred out faces setting off mock suicide explosives and roadside car bomb attacks.

The video begins with a message which reads: “Demonstration of real high explosives device, that is filled with gas instead of ammoniate nitrate.” It goes on to show men standing in a clearing in a forest. They are seen pulling chords attached to devices, and setting off explosions of white smoke around themselves. In the same video, a red vehicle is seen driving along a forest path, before suddenly being engulfed in an explosion of white smoke.

I can see why your mother would think that; wish my parents were still living, I'd like to know what they would say. So, is it the end of times? I certainly don't know. But it does seem to me that if the US continues to spend so much of its money on this GWOT with little to no results (and yes, I feel that way because we're not fighting the war to win) it could spell trouble in the near future. At the very least, watching the news and channels like Discovery, and seeing what other countries in the world are accomplishing because their governments spend all their money on the country and businesses within the country, it definitely seems as though the US is losing ground it probably won't be able to recover.

Anyone who doesn't believe that islam is the problem, doesn't know much about islam.

Just a friendly reminder, this is the Religion of Peace we're speaking about. Islam respects all people's beliefs. Jihad is a personal struggle.

Europe's economy grows at 0.3 % a year and has virtually NO Army. The unemployment rate of Germany would be considered catastrophic in America.
The average American "poor" lives in a house that a European can't even dream and has a standard of life that can't even be compared.
Japan's economy doesn't move since twenty years ago.
And in America we don't want the nose of the government into business, thank you.

One user on the site, who identified himself as 'Dehex,' warned that “Sweden will suffer in the name of Allah.”

Referring to a well known Swedish reverend, Runar Soogard, who is reported to be under police protection after offending Muslims with a speech about Islam’s prophet, Muhammad, Dehex wrote: “Runar Soogard had a very bad and nasty speech about our greatest prophet Mohamed.”

“It's because he doesn't wan't to apologyze to the Ummah Nation on at least television. Thats why they are giving out this videos as a warning! There will be one more warning, if he dosen't apologize on television…” wrote the user, in an ominous warning.

‘Dehex’ also posted an image showing a bloodied knife plunged into a map of Sweden, accompanied by the message: “We will slaughter all who dared to attack our prophet Mohamed.”

'Sweden has a problem'

Point taken. You're right, of course. I was thinking of some of the big construction projects I've seen built in the last few years with government aiding business in the financing or in cases where the government financed the project itself and comparing that scenario to the reports that America's infrastructure needs so much work that doesn't seem to be getting done and states saying they haven't the money to do it themselves.
But, on the other hand, everything you said is true also.

First of all, we don't need sites like this open -- they just provide training, recruitment, and inspiration for future jehadis.

Sane people aren't even allowed to know that sites like those exist -- the MSM won't tell them -- much less that they hosted by ISPs in places like Houston Texas.

You wouldn't have known about those sites except for this thread on LGF.

Guys, my attempts to secure those two generators for Bayou_King's relief of the Medville, LA hospital didn't work out as hoped. Bayou_King is going to try and get his dad (retired and old military) to put them on his credit card in the hopes we can save them for the effort. What I would like is 4-5-6 lizards who can afford to pop $ 300-500 in the form of a check to Bayou_King's dad to cover the $ 2400 cost to let me know. This is not a certain thing yet, because I don't know that Bayou_King's dad was able to get it done. But we need to be able to fund this one immediately. There might be some reimbursement out of the very generous fund created by the lizards, but then again, there might not, or if there is, it might take a while. So if anybody out there can pop for that kind of money, please contact me off-blog by the e-mail on my nic. There's no shame in not being able to take that kind of hit, especially if you're already in to some relief effort for all you can afford. If you have small contributions, get them to the general Bayou_King fund, because they will surely help. I'm just trying to round up a few that can cover the cost. It's worse than you can imagine. From my experience, someone at the CIA (or some other TLA) is actually forcing some ISPs to host terror sites.

It would be nice to think that they were keeping the sites online to 'monitor' terrorist 'chatter'. However, that's not being done. For example, months before the Madrid bombings the jehadis were openly discussing it, and giving detailed plans, on their 6,500 member Yahoo group.

One of the people who was responsible for keeping the sites online was the CIA's former head of the bin Laden unit under the Clinton Admin. -- he wrote about it in a book: 'Imperial Hubris'.
