Althouse jumps the shark.

Speaking as an individual who has recently suffered an open sore (after having named it "Michael Moore" in its pre-sore, large-lump phase), I find this highly offensive and demand Althouse's head on a platter.

3 christheprofessor  Wed, Nov 16, 2005 11:56:32am

Well, if she wants to be childish:

Ann Outhouse is a bile bitch.

There, I said it.

4 Captain Midnight  Wed, Nov 16, 2005 11:56:38am

Well, I recognize Little Green Footballs and OSM, but who the hell is Althouse?

5 Doug  Wed, Nov 16, 2005 11:56:45am

This is simply open-mindedness.

Speaking about Christianity on the other hand...

ANOTHER UPDATE: If I were an insider to OSM, would I mock them like this? Isn't much of the value of bloggers that we are on the outside? Rolling up together in a group to make money -- is that worth the sacrifice of independence? Everyone who signed on is now stuck with the presentation on that website that we were not able to see when we were asked to sign on to 18-month commitments.

hey,
ass hole,
if i dont want to read it or post there,
am i still independent?

7 Dave the.....  Wed, Nov 16, 2005 11:59:22am

Sounds like what I hear on Air America. (Can no longer sample it as I feel all dirty afterwards)

9 will_not_back_down  Wed, Nov 16, 2005 12:02:04pm

Let's see staff of 10 including CEO/CTO and OSM Blogs included at launch today numbering about 80 or 90 on a quick scan. Thats 100 X divided by 3.5 Mil VC which is a grand total of: 35K for 18months.

Boy are they selling out big time here with OSM. Come on Charles and Roger will be down in Miamee living large by January everyone knows that.

/end sarc

Sometimes it's not "just" about the money. It's nice but not everything.

They did, but hell, it's funny AND worth repeating!

Because, as the saying goes....some jokes write themselves.

Hey OUTHOUSE - jealous much?

11 mbruce  Wed, Nov 16, 2005 12:03:39pm

Whining,name calling, moaning and complaining.
Sounds like a moonbat to me.
awwwww.too bad,so sad.

12 Roger  Wed, Nov 16, 2005 12:04:16pm

Charles, I'll say classy! I wonder what she was wearing when she wrote that? Definitely not pajamas.

13 BeerDrinking_VictoryMonkey  Wed, Nov 16, 2005 12:05:36pm

Oh, Open SORES instead of SOURCE. I get it.
We have Mark Steyn on our side - they can have Outhouse. Get it, OUTHOUSE, ALTHOUSE? It's a pun? Get it?

14 Carolina Girl  Wed, Nov 16, 2005 12:06:29pm

#9 WNBD --

And you can bet that Charles and Co. will be more successful with that 3.5 mil and attract more visitors, bloggers, "correspodents" etc. than Hot Air America did, even with that extra infusion of $800,000 that Hot Air "appropriated" from the Boys and Girls Club.

15 BeerDrinking_VictoryMonkey  Wed, Nov 16, 2005 12:06:35pm

Boy I hope she gets PUNished for that poor play on words. Get it? PUN-ished? It's a pun!

16 eschew_obfuscation  Wed, Nov 16, 2005 12:10:39pm

An attorney talking about "crispness"? (my apologies to LGF attornies)

The good news is that all she found to complain about is style....nice start for OSM I'd say.

25 gus3  Wed, Nov 16, 2005 12:15:35pm

27 Geepers  Wed, Nov 16, 2005 12:17:28pm

Charles,

You messed up the headline.

Shouldn't it be:

The Epitome of Bad Taste

28 Jheka  Wed, Nov 16, 2005 12:18:25pm

Her final comment shows that she posted without having the first clue as to what she's talking about. OSM will have ZERO influence on the content and tone of the individual blogs that comprise it. If she had taken the time to acquire a clue, she'd know that no one is sacrificing their independence. To the contrary, the member blogs and bloggers of OSM are attempting to wrest independence for news media in general from the few traditional power brokers who have controlled worldwide media for decades.

29 shtetlg  Wed, Nov 16, 2005 12:19:06pm

Yeah, Blog fight! This is what blogging is all about, 2 blogs in a snark match. If OSM can deliver more of this, I'm all in!

30 Roger  Wed, Nov 16, 2005 12:21:26pm

#26 Dar ul Harb, yes but where should she stow 'em?

31 JammieWearingFool  Wed, Nov 16, 2005 12:23:38pm

And how would she know about such a delicate topic, huh?

She a vile bag of pus, so I guess experience counts for something.

32 Earth2moonbat  Wed, Nov 16, 2005 12:24:03pm

Just some background:

The Open Source software movement has been a thorn in Microsoft's side from it's inception. Linux, among other OSs and programs are open source, and Gates can't compete with them. So he (and the company) maligns them with cute phrases like "Open Sores", and bald face lies (like Open Source = Napster).

It wasn't particularly original to borrow this phrase from Microsoft and apply it here. Not particularly clever, either.

33 wrenchwench  Wed, Nov 16, 2005 12:24:45pm

Next to her take on OSM, this Blog-Ad comes up:

Does the verbal hostility of the modern political culture make you want to scream? Find sanity at ipolitick.com! Help start the civil, productive dialogue at the ipolitick forums and talk about all things politics without all of the partisan bickering!

Is that ironic?

36 aboo-Hoo-Hoo  Wed, Nov 16, 2005 12:26:10pm

Ann Outhouse appears a little obsessed with bodily fluids.

What's the deal with that? Never heard of her before anyway.

37 JammieWearingFool  Wed, Nov 16, 2005 12:26:16pm

Does this dumb slut realize the left is well represented at OSM?

I guess not. Typical ill-informed invective from a Berkeley house whore.

38 SoCalJustice  Wed, Nov 16, 2005 12:27:34pm

Charles, you should market those glasses on the home page.

Ooops, some background on Kovner:

George Soros’s Right-Wing Twin
Multibillionaire commodities king Bruce Kovner is the patron saint of the neoconservatives, the new Lincoln Center’s crucial Medici, owner of a vast Fifth Avenue mansion—and the most powerful New Yorker you’ve never heard of.

If no one knows anything about Bruce Kovner, it is because he likes it that way. Yet the unassuming manner is camouflage for one of the most powerful people in the country, culturally, financially, and politically. Kovner, 60 years old and divorced, manages the largest hedge fund in the world and every year ratchets higher on the Forbes list of the richest Americans (most recently, 106). Wealth has granted him influence in the fields that he finds most interesting: high culture and public policy.
...........
Most important, Kovner is chairman of the American Enterprise Institute

[Link: newyorkmetro.com...]

Hey, he's an entrepreneur and reputedly one hell-of-a-nice guy.

Just a thought.

Hot Tuna! Charles - Scrappleface reports that the MSM is on to you!

"Faced with the “chaos and confusion among the commoners” which could result from today’s launch of Open Source Media, a portal to the best of the blogosphere, a coalition of mainstream media (MSM) outlets plans to launch “aggressive countermeasures.”

The professional journalism syndicate announced the impending launch of ‘Secret Source Media’, a website which it said would provide one-stop shopping for reliable, anonymously-sourced news.

“The ordinary folks who read The Times and watch CNN don’t want a non-stop barrage of news from these fact-checking geeks,” said a spokesman for Secret Source Media who requested anonymity for the sheer thrill of it. “People need the comfort that comes from the mystery of faith in unnamed sources and reverence for elite editorial gatekeepers.”

In addition to offering at least one anonymous source in every story, Secret Source Media’s website “will enhance the sense of mystery by being written entirely in Latin.”

Bloggers Charles Johnson and Roger Simon officially launched the “citizen journalist” Open Source Media blog by nailing a pair of pajamas to the front door of The New York Times."

Charles and Roger invited Ms. Althouse to be a part of (the former) Pajamas Media. She declined because it wasn't worth her while. Fair enough. That said, however, she seems intent on talking down the venture for whatever reason, in spite of the fact that her main hits benefactor is a part of the new OSM.

123 Pro-Bush Canuck  Wed, Nov 16, 2005 1:45:40pm

What led to the use of the term "Open Source"?

"Open Source" is a movement derived largely from Marxist principles. It is at heart an attack on the notion of intellectual property rights. The more extreme adherents of this "faith" are extremely hard-core leftists such as Eric Raymond.

I just find it odd that LGF would align itself with a philosophy which many percieve as profoundly anti-American (since so much of what makes America great is premised on the right to have and hold property).

Wrong. There's nothing marxist about open-source software. It's voluntarily contributed to the public domain. Nothing is coerced. And it can be incorporated into commercial products. If you think the idea is free distribution, you've missed the concept. Open source means that the source code is included. The motto is: "free as in free speech, not free beer".

139 gus3  Wed, Nov 16, 2005 2:04:07pm

Grrrrrr. A lot of mis-information about Open Source software and its proponents here.

Open Source software is not automatically in the public domain. All authors retain their copyright. They merely waive the right to restrict what users do with their software, up to and including modifying it. Under the General Public License (GPL, such as the Linux OS), users may use the software with the understanding that they may not impose any such restrictions, either. The BSD license (FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD) does allow such "lock-down".

And Eric Raymond would be highly offended to hear you call him a "leftist." In a culture rife with socialism and other Marxist ways, ESR goes against the grain with his "Geeks With Guns" gathering every summer near Silicon Valley. If anything, he is a libertarian.

(Can you tell Open Source software is a topic near and dear to me?)

Moreover even if we (incorrectly) assume that there is a strong connection between open source and Marxism, things are not that bad because Marxism encompasses a very wide spectrum of political movements that includes western social-democratic parties. Let's assume that the political agenda of the open source movement is a kind of Marxism applied to software. This is not true; Metcalfe is definitely wrong equating Marxism and the open source philosophies. However there are definitely some overtones to the open source political agenda that are analogous to Marxist views. So let's for a moment assume that Bob Metcalfe is right. What does this mean? First of all, there is a big difference between the theory of communism (called Marxism) and the practice of communism...

#139:

Part of my previous post got cut off. In any case Berzoukov like many apologists for Open Source at once denies that there is a direct link to Marxism, but then equivocates and says basically that even if there were that's not such a bad thing.

Open Source sites and projects widely use the term "CopyLeft" instead of "Copyright". That's because Open Source (i.e., the communal creation and collective ownership of intellectual property) is in fact a deeply leftist philosophy.

That is not to say all OSS people are leftists! There may be some short-term benefits to OSS (as there were to socialism itself--France was wonderful for 30 years or so in many ways). However it is not possible to seriously assert that OSS is anything but an alternative to the traditional free-market, property-based, capitalist enterprise upon which American prosperity is based.

I maintain my befuddlement over why Pyjamas will now apparently be called "Open Source".

It was great just getting rid of the Dell CRT.

My last CRT blew up about 7 years ago while I was deployed overseas. I got home and it was dead, so I bought my first flat screen of the same "size". I could have saved myself some money and got a flat screen 2" smaller (I didn't know that the viewable area was actually larger). I've found the 17" screens to be the best for size and space.

170 gus3  Wed, Nov 16, 2005 3:02:43pm

#156 Pro-Bush Canuck:

To maintain that the benefits of OSS are "short-term" means you haven't watched the Massachusetts debate about OpenDoc.

The benefits of using proprietary software (think Microsoft Word) are much more short-lived: Microsoft can revoke, at their discretion, the license to use their software. Massachusetts found this risk to be untenable, and opted for programs and file formats which are not restricted by a company desperate to maintain a cash flow.

On the other hand, Open Source software under the GPL is licensed in perpetuity from the copyright holder's perspective. Only the user can terminate his/her right to use GPL software.

The "Marxist" analogy falls apart when you consider that not everybody is required to participate, or even allowed to do so. The Samba project goes to great length to screen their candidate contributors, to make sure they aren't liable to Microsoft for any code. Similarly, Charles et al. have chosen their contributors to OSM carefully, in order to produce a quality product. See any Kos Kidz on the OSM contributor list? Do you expect any "corrections" from Arianna to appear on OSM?

You may wish to check your sources for equating Open Source anything with "Marxism" and being anti-capitalist. It's been my experience (yes, that's weasel words) that such accusations can be traced back to Microsoft.

172 Killian Bundy  Wed, Nov 16, 2005 3:04:03pm

She definitely doesn't like OSM or Lizards either:

STILL MORE: I'm told Jeff Goldstein wasn't even at the OSM launch, which surprises me, because I began reading it on the OSM home page under their heading "live-blogging." That's an awfully strange way to introduce people to their service. Aren't ordinary people being asked to trust the OSM portal?

Also, Charles Johnson linked to this post to note my bad taste -- the "fluids" wisecrack -- and this set off his commenters who just started wildly insulting me -- hilariously assuming I'm a big lefty and using lots of bad taste insults against me. How does that make sense? If they are outraged at my bad taste, as Charles suggests they be, then why aren't the comments primly proper? They must be insulting me because they assume I'm a lefty. Ha, ha. Somebody tell Armando! Anyway, Charles's fans end up hurting him on the day when he is trying to make an impression as an elder statesman of blogging, by making his site look all trashy. And the irony is priceless: he is complaining about my bad taste. Yet "semen" and "pus" are both perfectly sound English words, not slang at all, and pointing out literary images is quite high tone.

/let's see, Althouse occasionally guest blogs for Instapundit and Instapundit is on the OSM editorial board, hmmm . . .

It depends on what he has for a computer OS. With Windows XP you have the most choises for screen sizes. In most cases a 17" is plenty with setting the screen to 800 by 600 or 1024 by 768 resolution and set to 96 dpi. Which will make the fonts plenty large.

Really, no matter the OS, there are ways to make the fonts larger. A 17" monitor is plenty.

Well, if you used open source software like I do (Linux), you wouldn't pay anything for your OS. Of course, the downside to that is that it's hard to demand your money back if it doesn't work.

Dear Miss Althouse,

Semen, pus, and body fluids are my forte as I am a physician, so it was quite the surprise to read you using them in the context of describing the contents of the pajamas of the OSM group.

You cannot cry fowl over the harsh rhetoric that followed upon the heels of the wording that you, yourself chose to write. Perhaps your Mother is at fault for not teaching you the difference between "acid wit" and boy's room humor in Middle School.

I suggest a visit to the local Catholic Church confessional as a start.

It's funny that Charles is supposed to be lending gravitas to the OSM project when his site seems like such a cesspool, at least in the comments. And it's really dumb to think that anyone who criticizes OSM must be a lefty. I think there's an awful lot of desperation about the project.

I've read the Althouse post, her comments section, and all of this here at LGF, and I have to say, with all sobriety: pfffth.

Althouse's crack about bodily fluids was predicated on a straight reading of Goldstein, which everyone now knows to be a hoax. So the whole "you're stinky! no, you are!" kerfuffle is irrelevant.

Among other things, the question of trademark infringement is interesting, as is the connotation and legal status of "OSM" in an environment where the open source software model is well-established.

These things are important and could be discussed, however small their entertainment value. I'm not saying they should even be discussed here, since this is LGF, after all, not OSM.

Perhaps slashdotters will weigh in at some point.

Slightly OT, but someone mentioned George Soros.

Anyone trying to keep track of GS's expenditures pertaining to his attempts to elect political puppets more to his liking (not that there's anything wrong with that).

I know he dumped a bundle in Ohio to no avail.

I know he dumped a bundle in the national elections in '04 to no avail.

I know he was rich as (fill in the blank with your epitome of rich), but he's spend a lot of cash.

Wasn't he supposed to be shorting the dollar in favor of the euro? Wonder how that worked out for him?

Be a shame if he wasn't able to help HillBillypat. pend as much as she's going to expect for the '08 run.

I know a guy who says he went with Soros to the USSR just after it broke up to help the new states deal with all sorts of infrastructure issues. This was back when Soros was something of a good guy: he poured money into this effort. Then, according to this guy, all of a sudden Soros lost interest and left all those people high and dry. The guy speculated that Soros had some sort of grudge against the Bush family, because this was around the time he started pouring money into the American LLL.

I know that doesn't help with any of the specifics of your question, but it may help to illustrate that Soros is unstable. Tracking all of his schemes is difficult maybe for that reason.

According to a couple of Web sites on word origins, trivia, etc., the phrase has its origin in Web site [Link: www.jumptheshark.com,...] which started in 1997. From that site:

Q. Did "jump the shark" originate from this web site, or did you create the site to capitalize on the phrase?

A. It all started here. This site went up December 24, 1997 and gave birth to the phrase "jump the shark." As the site continues to grow in popularity, the term has become more commonplace. The site is the chicken, the egg, and now a Catch-22.

I have the impression that Soros made his first huge fortune shorting the pound around the time of Maggie T. in Britian.

I had heard that GS dropped out of the Russian effort when it looked like there wasn't going to be the pot of gold so many folks envisioned.

I have the impression that GS doesn't like right-leaning governments much, but does like leftys just fine.

I was just wondering, what is he up to?

This is probably the best known winery:

Weiderkehrwines

Though my personal favorite is Post Muscadine, simply because it reminds me of my dad's homemade wine.

There are four wine companies, with a new kid on the block called Aux Arc, I think. The landscape is pretty unique, with high bluffs and the river valley uniting to provide a micro climate different from the rest of the river valley.

German vinters settled first, with an abbey called Subiaco close by.

You are now officially my hero.
You may be a house whore, but you're definitely not a house negro.

Although being Caucasian, you were probably never in much danger.
But still.

They really know how to give compliments over there.... you may be the house whore but not the house negro...

Sweet! (shakes head) Doesn't take much to be a hero in Althouser World..

Wiederkehr! That's it. The last time I drove by was during winter, so it was closed. I don't remember seeing the river, but I did get out to look at the vines and wondered how many people they employed to cut back the canes.

From their website:

Wiederkehr Wine Cellars is U.S. Bonded Winery Number 8

That's odd. Herr Altus moved to AR in 1880. I think the first bonded wine company was in 1860.

Perhaps it's possible that only eight companies were bonded over the course of twenty years, assuming there existed a central, federal bonding authority.

At least that's how it works for me!

But you can't bet horses in Paris. And actually, there are probably a lot more cattle than horses in Paris these days...

How could I have forgotten Paris, TX?

Godfrey,

They've a fairly impressive old Catholic church dating back to the late 1800s there.

I don't know how the bonding thing works. I do know they had a heck of a time during Prohibition.

Used to be a lot of wineries in Arkansas. There was an Italian winery in Tontitown, known for fortified Port (or is that repetitious?)

284 godfrey  Wed, Nov 16, 2005 6:20:37pm

Bourbon and Betting... let's add Beauty and call it a trifecta, JD?

BG, you ever bet on horses?

Bubble baths are good for the body and the soul.

And, I daresay, the imagination. But I forget myself. Are you going to tell us you lit candles, too? And let one wrist dangle over the side, your fingers cradling a glass of zinfandel? That you stretched your leg above the foam to inspect your prettily painted toes? That you sighed, for so much melody?

You needn't, you know.

I believe Scarlett said it best, "Fiddledeedee, I'll worry about it tommorrow". Hey, I've never actually read Gone With The Wind.

Having said that, I do know that the range of the 9-banded armadillo has extended northwards by at least 125 miles in my life.

There is all that, as you say. I have no trouble saying that global warming may be real, actually. The question is, though, "compared to what?" There's some evidence that the earth goes through cycles of this sort of thing. It's one thing to say this and quite another to say that we have to raze our industries and go back to eating nuts and berries.

(I know that's overstated.) This is an issue that generates a lot of heat, no question.

Before moving to this city on the Mississippi, my image of it simply contained slender figures in seersucker, the men in boaters and the women twirling parasols, and lots of them were decorously drunk as they listened to banjoes and trombones from the iron-filigreed balconies out toward the water.

I needn't say how quickly that image was demolished.

I am fit but the tan is fading... no more pool. I do wear jeans, old 501's but usually a t-shirt. No leather bands or necklaces. My house is old, weathered, and yes, the plumbing is good.

Too clever? Perhaps in the 6th grade boy's bathroom. Would you kiss a mouth that talked like that?

Killian

Oh, don't get me wrong either! My question was also genuine. All the time I overhear lizards talking about meeting up, post counts, past histories, etc., and I feel every bit the newcomer as well.

Great.. something is making a noise outside... have to go check it out.

Later.

376 godfrey  Wed, Nov 16, 2005 8:02:49pm

Hmm, I should have been clearer. I meant: not clever in the choice of words so much as "too clever" in following the metaphors around.

They led her around by the nose: she should've expected that someone would have rubbed her nose in it.

Besides, sex is too good for that kind of talk.

On the other hand, Althouse is a great blogger, that has a very diffent take, for reasons she expounds on, which shouldn't be dissed out of hand.

Hating most law profs isn't good enough? Damn, it's almost always worked for me in the past. That was a particularly sick comment. I feel better about myself for her diving into the gutter. See? Now she's great. Nite.

Good night, Beagle

Bubble Girl

Great.. something is making a noise outside... have to go check it out.

Well if that isn't a cliff-hanger...

BG, if and when you get back, would you mind posting something as evidence of your survival? LOL

Best,
G

No open thread so . . .

'Diaper changer' investigated

man walked up to a woman in the parking lot at Store 24 at 991 Washington St. and asked if he could change her children's diapers. The woman, who was putting a bag of diapers in her car, told the man his request was inappropriate and to leave her alone . . .

"That's very creepy," she said. "I can see why she was terrified."

/lock your door, hide your babies, there's a sicko still on the loose!

Am okay.... two tipsy women in little car... lost and asking for directions... Wouldn't let them in the house... to make a phone call... took my cell outside.

They drove over a flower bed!

Altburger really blows, how crude

382 Dar ul Harb  Thu, Nov 17, 2005 2:42:26am

OT (sorta),

OSM seems to need a box where you can submit broken or misdirected links.

For example, the link to "PeakTalk" on this page points to ScrappleFace. Oops.

383 FrogMarch  Thu, Nov 17, 2005 3:26:22am

OT:

I watched the Martha Stewart show on TV last night.
If you really pay attention to the undercurrent - the show seems faked, Martha is running lines, and the contestants seem a bit like paid actors.

and I'm not even into conspiracy theories.

384 TotallySirius  Thu, Nov 17, 2005 3:27:53am

Is Althouse an ex-hooker?

current hooker?

Pr0n queen?

Ex-pr0n queen?

Seems to have some kind of sex/body fluid obsession.

385 FrogMarch  Thu, Nov 17, 2005 3:53:03am

Ann is very unsupportive of her colleges in the blogosphere. Rather than show support to OSM - (and support to good-link friends like Glenn Reynolds) she has to knock it down. I wonder why? Attention whore? Watching the train roll off without her? Jealous much? Sure, an official launch of something new and big will have glitches and problems. Real people are excited and nervous. Her comments are petty. Oh and Ann - if you are reading this - no one wants your pity. And who the F are you?

Okay – I am done with Ann.
I may or may not visit her site again. I'm off to bigger and better. The OSM site has the future written all over it, and I shall be supportive of the brave citizen journalists who put themselves out there. and thank the good Lord the OSMers aren't ALL holier than thou law professors.

Ya know, you can heap all the scorn you want on Althouse, but what does it accomplish? Mostly, the ugly posts here drag down Charles' rep IMO. Guilt by association. Unfair? Yes. But realistic. First impressions matter.

As for all of the comments making fun of Althouse's name and supposed lack of name-recognition, let's try a gedankenexperiment and change the name of the critic. Suppose Den Beste were raising a concern. Would you take it more seriously? Yeah, if that name means something to you, you might.

Part of the point of PJM / OSM is to highlight the best of the blogosphere. For that to work, trust must be established. Den Beste earned the trust of many, and used it, in part, to direct traffic to other bloggers whom he deemed to be traffic-worthy.

So, hypothetically, if Den Beste were to see a problem here, then, maybe, there's a problem here.

Ben F.

I'd like to find out what is going on with the OSM name, too. Just out of curiosity.
But still, accusations are just that.
In any case, at least Den Beste shows some class while asking the question.

389 SlimyBill  Thu, Nov 17, 2005 6:14:12am

For whatever it is worth, I expected more. The roll of contributors to OSM is rock solid. And I guess that's what's meaningful.

But:

"Bloggers Do It In Their Pajamas"? Adolescent.

Open Source Media is meaningless. There HAD to be a better name. Shoot, Pajamas Media was a better name.

Who designed the site? Stevie Wonder?

To me, the amalgam is far far FAR below the individual contributors.

You need someone else to run the show.

Again, for whatever it is worth, which, I know, may be little or nothing.

Does Ann owe Charles an apology?

392 EddieP  Thu, Nov 17, 2005 11:26:40am

I don't have to defend Althouse, she is perfectly capable of doing that herself. She's no leftie, voted for Bush and pretty well is in the center/center right on most issues.

The best line of this thread is George Open Soros, ROTFLMAO.

Please save some of this vitriol for the RINOS in the Senate who joined up with the dispicable dems to cut the knees out from under our brave troops and courageous president with that crap "Sense of the Senate" BS they passed this week.

Swapping semen for pus, bodily fluids-wise.

UPDATE: Did they notice the "Open Sores" pun? I see that back in June, Roger L. Simon raised the question of what to rename Pajamas, and "Open Source" came up in the second comment, got repeated a few times, and then drew this:

Open Sores News--
"Band Aiding the World"

So they had to know the joke was there.

I got the pun. It's the "Swapping semen for pus, bodily fluids-wise." that gets an eyebrow raise from me.

I see that some of the writers for OSM are left-of-center. Perhaps OSM gets this kind of puss-talk because the left/liberal writers there are guilty of open-minedness.
