-RetweetDaily Kos: 9/11: So Over It

Thu, Apr 20, 2006 at 6:08:07 pm PDT

The progressive Kos Kidz have like, progressed way past 9/11: Daily Kos: 9/11: So Over It. (Hat tip: Proud Kaffir.)

Remember, please, that this was an act of a bunch of punks. Punks that got lucky. Not the larger Islamo-Fascist monolith that some have conjurred; that may exist as a useful concept but all evidence points to punks.

Jihad? What jihad? Dude! Family Guy’s on.

Current results from their poll: Are You Over 9/11?

Yes - 47 votes - 60 %
No - 19 votes - 24 %
They Won’t Let Me - 12 votes - 15 %

Punks? Just beautiful. Kos Kids are sick motherless bsatards.

Ah yes the future of the moonbat party. Tell me again how many elections KosKids have successfully supported...

5 HDrepub  Thu, Apr 20, 2006 4:10:58pm

Punks don't have sophisticated financial and intelligence networks. The Koz Kids are so naive it's pathetic. Their headless carcasses will garner no pity from me when the beheaders take over.

What? They can't read?

...oh, never mind.

It always reminds me of the Flannery O'Conner story, A Good Man Is Hard To Find. The will refuse to recognize evil until it saws their heads off.

10 HDrepub  Thu, Apr 20, 2006 4:13:38pm

What's this they say now? That it was punks who only got lucky? Do they mean to say there was no conspiracy? Well I never.

a bunch of punks

They caught a few more punks yesterday in France and Italy:

13 jooly  Thu, Apr 20, 2006 4:16:00pm

Last night, I was imagining what it would be like to be in NYC again. I don't think I could stomach it. Everytime I see a photo or a film with the WTC before the attack, it makes me nauseous. But, the little shits are over it.

14 ted  Thu, Apr 20, 2006 4:16:02pm

Unfortunately this POS speaks for a very high percentage of the barking moonbats and angry leftists that live in the liberal fever swamp of NYC

On more than several occassions i've been chastised for "not getting over 9/11 already"

15 Cartman  Thu, Apr 20, 2006 4:16:37pm

It stands to reason that most of them are over it. They helped orchestrate it, in an indirect but not-so-subtle fashion.

16 RedHeadedMenace  Thu, Apr 20, 2006 4:17:06pm

So far, to be a DUer, you have to believe:

Bush was behind 911 AND it was a few punks who got lucky; big deal AND Flight 93 is too soon.

19 rickl  Thu, Apr 20, 2006 4:18:27pm

I just clicked on the link, and there are only 90 votes in their stupid poll.

20 W-lover  Thu, Apr 20, 2006 4:19:07pm
They Won’t Let Me - 12 votes - 15 %

What's that suppose to mean?

21 DesertSage  Thu, Apr 20, 2006 4:19:15pm

#10 HDrepub

Good point.
Was it just a just a bunch of punks?
Or was it a far reaching Bush/Cheney/Halliburton/Zionist conspiracy?

Hey Koz Kidz...pick one and stick with it!

22 rickl  Thu, Apr 20, 2006 4:19:31pm

When I said they "cancel out my vote" earlier, I meant in real elections.

23 spinoneone  Thu, Apr 20, 2006 4:20:29pm

So I suppose it was also a "bunch of punks" who did Pearl Harbor [more Americans died in NYC on 9/11/01 than in Hawaii on 12/07/42], or Khobar Towers, or the USS Cole, or two US Embassies, & etc. Some people want to deny that a war exists so that they can live in their own nice safe state of denial that anything might conceivably be more important than hating GWB and Republicans.

24 W-lover  Thu, Apr 20, 2006 4:20:50pm
Bush was behind 911 AND it was a few punks who got lucky; big deal AND Flight 93 is too soon.

But, Hey! They're over it.

25 JollyFatMan  Thu, Apr 20, 2006 4:20:51pm

Typical lefty narcissism.

'What, Me care? No Way!'

While it is true they did take advantage of a few paridyms to pull off 9-11, that is what asymetric warfare is all about, doing the most damage for the least cost by finding the chinks in the armor.

Morons of the Kos type don't seem to have the reasoning capacity to appreciate this sort of thing.

Too bad they don't get it. And thay want to rule the U.S. by any means possible? What a laugh. Just keep those endorsements coming.

realwest: Germans?

Noam: Forget it, he's rolling.

Sadly these dumbasses wont wake up until they are personally affected, until sadly that Iranian atomic bomb blows up somewhere.

Or let them die in their insane blindness, we all know what happens to those that side with the enemy, they are killed in the end as they are no longer needed by the enemy.

28 Cartman  Thu, Apr 20, 2006 4:22:12pm

You wingnuts are so simple-minded.

Bush/Cheney/Halliburton/Zionists ARE the punks who got lucky, stole several elections in a row, orchestrated 9/11, and now won't let us get over it so we can get back to our hashish pipes.

36 Right Brain  Thu, Apr 20, 2006 4:24:41pm

9/11 interferred with the Left's fantasies about the United States and its role in the world: hard to maintain the America-source-of-all-evil in the face of real evil of knocking over two 110 story occupied buildings.

Hence the psychologically compensatory mechanisms of spinning tall tales about the cause; that this was comeupance for something that we did, or that Bushitler did 9/11 with his White House cronies. None of these self-stories last very long, so guess what? Eject the entire horror as old hat and move onto serious things like indicting Karl Rove and Bushitler impeachment!

This is an unfortunate continuation of the Left defining themselves by what they're against rather than what they're for.

BTW, WTF ever happened to David Boies?

39 ted  Thu, Apr 20, 2006 4:26:43pm

This is a very astute observation, nonetheless:

49 Dar ul Harbarian  Thu, Apr 20, 2006 4:31:59pm

Punks?

They had control of a nation of many millions of people in Afghanistan.

They were able to destroy two U.S. embassies and disable a warship.

And they still haven't all been caught.

Some punks.

Or were they refering to the Bushitler-Heilburton-Zionazi axis?

To try and even remotely parse out any fragments of logical reasoning within a death-wish mentality or mindset is futile. The left are their very own runaway train. No looking back. Just head-on tunnel vision and fear prior to the horrible derailment of a useless and destructive philosophy. If you wish to call it that.

56 Noam Sayin'  Thu, Apr 20, 2006 4:34:42pm

Comedy aside, I to this day still cann't listen to Sarah McLachlan's "Arms of An Angel" without tearing up. I challenge anyone on Kos to just read the lyrics

Spend all your time waiting for that second chance
For the break that will make it ok
There's always some reason to feel “not good enough
And it's hard at the end of the day
I need some distraction, oh beautiful release
Memories seep from my veins
They may be empty and weightless, and maybe
I'll find some peace tonight

In the arms of an Angel, fly away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room, and the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
You're in the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here

So tired of the straight line, and everywhere you turn
There's vultures and thieves at your back
The storm keeps on twisting, you keep on building the lies
That you make up for all that you lack
It don't make no difference, escaping one last time
It's easier to believe
In this sweet madness, oh this glorious sadness
That brings me to my knees

In the arms of an Angel, far away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room, and the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
In the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here

... remembering back to that night, when America came together to let each other know that we are all in this together and we're going to get through it.

That, and they booed Hillary.

*pumps fist* Yes!

No infidel cartoons could ever lower my "image" of Islam anymore than the video clips from 9/11.

And nothing will ever erase the vile images of Palestinians dancing in the streets that night.

The Moonbats don't need to make a conscious effort to forget 9/11. Their cognitive dissonance will take care of that for them.

My friend has just finished active duty in the Navy. When I met up with him here in PA, one of the first few sentences out of his mouth was: "What's the fuck is this 'we don't support the war but we support the troops' bullshit? What the hell happened to America?" He also mentioned that this sentiment has been echoed by several of his vet buddies.

It's one think to hear about the demoralization of our troops due to the moonbat's nonsense, but it's another thing to actually see it from a true and trusted friend. *sighs*.

Ya mon. Punks highjack 4 airliners, destroy the WTC and attack the Pentagon. Then they put some grafittis on subway cars.

I used to so it all the time when I was younger, twice on Sundays. Boys will be boys, no big deal. A couple of thousand dead, that's all. Had they gotten lucky they woulda killed 40000, but that just menas they woulda been lucky punks.

Even used to have my own training camps in a couple of countries. My girlfirend made false papers and we bought our explosives and guns at the 7/11.

Nothing to see here. Billy Clinton, he was my hero. Got BJs in the white house and kept kicking the can of terrorism down the road for 8 years. Peace Mon.

And you know? Some people are just clueless. Today we were talking about explosive volcanoes in class, and I asked what made them so dangerous. The kids came up with the predictible things that we had been talking about, and I said, yeah, all those things were true, but think about it...in general, being in or near an explosion is dangerous. LIKE THOSE PEOPLE IN TEL AVIV THE OTHER DAY WHO WERE KILLED BY A TERRORIST WHO STRAPPED A VEST FILLED WITH EXPLOSIVES AND NAILS AND BALL BEARINGS TO HIM AND DETONATED IT AMONG A BUNCH OF INNOCENT PEOPLE! MOTHERS! FATHERS! CHILDREN! AND YES, I WAS SHOUTING!

Most of 'em hadn't even heard of it, natch. It's like September 11 and all the rest of what came before and has come after DIDN'T HAPPEN.

Some days I have just got to have my say. If the lefty teachers can go on a rant, so can I.

I'm sorry, but as long as there's a hole in the ground at Ground Zero where the Twin Towers once stood and there are Islamofascists (or militant Islamists, or whatever you want to call 'em) who want to kill us at the earliest possible opportunity, it isn't going to be over.

Those who think we should be over it are those who are quickest to bury their head in the sand or go lalalalal while holding their hands over their ears while those seeking to kill them are saying and broadcasting their intentions loud and clear.

110 Silhouette  Thu, Apr 20, 2006 4:52:49pm

Yep, the Islamic threat is all just conjured up. Let's check the wires. Hmmm, just in the past 3 hours...

AP
2 hours, 51 minutes ago

ISTANBUL, Turkey - ...Bakr al-Saqa presided over a mock trial (and then beheaded kidnapped Brit) Kenneth Bigley based on Islamic law, or sharia, according to the lawyer, Osman Karahan.

"He was guilty of helping nonbelievers in invading Muslim lands...," Karahan told The Associated Press.

Bigley, 62, was kidnapped in Sept. 16, 2004, with two American co-workers for Gulf Services Co. Both Americans were beheaded, and Bigley's decapitation was confirmed Oct. 10, 2004.

Al-Saqa is on trial for his alleged role in the 2003 bombings of two synagogues, a British bank and the British Consulate-General in Istanbul that killed 58 people. Turkish prosecutors have called al-Saqa a "high-level al-Qaida official."

Karahan (the lawyer)... himself has been charged with aiding and abetting a terrorist organization for allegedly giving money to one of his clients.

Al-Saqa, a Turkish-speaking Syrian, is known for wild outbursts and for unrepentant advocacy of violence in what he calls a holy war against non-Muslims....

Al-Saqa was captured in August after an accidental explosion led police to his house ...and he is accused of plotting to blow up cruise ships carrying Israelis. He is also suspected of being involved in the killing of a Turkish truck driver and accused of smuggling explosives into Turkey.

OT

I had to go into the office for a meeting today. My group has a "fun activity" at the end of each meeting, if the facilitator (we take turns) wants to do that. In a previous "fun activity," it was revealed that I was in Army ROTC, so I am already suspect to some of my groupies, if you get my meaning. Anyway, today, the fun activity was a quiz from the Internet on who said various things - Homer Simpson or "George W."

We were one short, so I opted not to take the quiz. My boss, normally a very sunny person but under pressure lately, lost her usual smile.

After the quiz was over, I spoke out. I basically tried to convey that this has no place in a business environment. I didn't voice any opinion on George W OR Homer. I just said - people, I am a radical, but you don't know this and don't know my radical opinions, because we don't talk about them here. I don't like sitting here and listening to politically-based propaganda or opinions - this is not the place. I would feel the same way if Senator Kerry had won and were being made fun of.

It wasn't about Bush, really. I am annoyed with him right now about many things. No. It is about people just assuming that we are all liberals. I know the trouble maker who instigated it, a whiny little white boy (sorry) who thinks he is too good for the rest of us. I called him a moonbat. He said "I don't even know what that is." He is now my enemy.

I'm deeply glad I'm not a boss - I can see the pressure rolling off of her in waves. I hated to add to that, but it was not my fault. I told her not to worry about it, but I am sure she was really annoyed with all of us. She is in over her head, and I am not a lifeguard.

God, I am so glad I telecommute.

We have a special dinner tomorrow to celebrate our success in a ratings thing. Ought to be interesting.

In these times, knowledge is very powerful, try to teach others, it only takes a few lines from the koran at least for me to change people's perceptions on what islam stands for, that there wont be peace with palos etc.

Every user hear cant say they were born conservative and knew all the answers, they learned through this website and others, teach online and in the face, keep pounding it into their faces as there is always some hope.

We have to be united against this front, show people the "light", arm them with the truth, no more ignorants but educated well informed reality information instead of all those conspiracy theories etc and socalled progressive (rather its blindness, ignorant, cowardess) information.

Some people are as you say hopeless, but they will have to learn in the end or they will meet the final consequences.

Easy, my friend. They've been raised in a vacuum. Very little parental or familial love or support. They have arisen from the ashes of disfunction. The notions of discipline, honor, truth and self-restraint...and love are as foreign to them as their self-loathing is to us. Anger and lies are their sabre and sheild. The nuances of respectful and orderly human interaction have been lost upon them. You and I see the beauty in that song. They may see it as an affront to their creed, whatever that is. Or more likely, they don't see anything in the message at all. Such a waste, and a pity.

A most curious statement from CAIR...
CAIR-San Diego Meets with State Dept Official on Iran

CAIR-San Diego, along with Islamic Center of San Diego, recently hosted a meeting of local Muslim leaders with Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Gordon Gray to discuss U.S. policy toward Iran. CAIR-San Diego also presented a Quran, Islam’s revealed text, as a gift to Gray.

When somebody just recites by rote that Bush is an idiot, remind them he has an MBA from Harvard and flew interceptors (when they were temperemental SOBs). Then ask them what they have for diplomas and how many hours on jets.

When they mention the US had slavery, ask them who transported the slaves (Portugese, Spanish, british, French, Dutch). Who actually started the abolitionist movement (UK and USA, white anglo-saxons). Who fought 2 wars to get rid of it (Cvil war and war against the Muslim barbary pirates). Etc.

History and facts are actually on our side.

Thank you.
Now like many people on this site, I get very depressed at times when constantly reading about small Islamic victories.

But you know, with the internet and blogs, many Americans and people across the world are starting to wake up to the threat of Islam. Five years ago, [Link: www.jihadwatch.com...] would not have been on my favourites list.

And all of us are also spreading this information about Islam to the clueless. Just yesterday, I commented to the lady at my gas station about the Somali population and she had NOTHING good to say. One of my Indian female co-workers shocked me when she commented about the horrible educational levels of Arabs. I'm spreading the word to my god-daughters and her sisters.

I think their is a growing groundswell of support for separation from this evil. Personally, I think many countries are making Muslim immigration more difficult. Governments may be mouthing 'Islam is a ROP' but still tightening the borders. It's like the West is trying to cut itself off but wants to do it in the most sociable way possible, especially given our needs on oil.

I can't wait for this to be over.

All the best!

Sura 109
Read the letter,
then tell me how it's all the big bad Bush monster's fault.

Either that, or go back to sitting in the corner gazing at your navel.

Not the larger Islamo-Fascist monolith that some have conjurred; that may exist as a useful concept but all evidence points to punks.

Are Harry Reid and other Dems wrong to demand that all military activities must directed solely towards capturing bin laden? No point now that it seems he had little or nothing to do with 9/11 --- you know, like Sadam.

I like the way he knocks Bush for never flying again. He was a fighter jock. Something not only Sura never did or could do. But something that would scare the crap out of him.

I mean, we all know how easy it is to become a fighter pilot.

Glad to hear it...

Wow, talk about being in denial! Why do I get the feeling that if the political affiliations had been reversed (president was democrat, governor and mayor republican) and things played out exactly as they did, people like Sura and the dolts on the left, in the MSM, etc. would have said nary a negative word against the president and blamed it all on the mayor and governor.

were I ever in the position to call out the dogs on the Pali's, they'd have one less city or village every time something happens and either they be extinct or they'd behave

You can see what I said 'bout Iran today here:

[Link: littlegreenfootballs.com...]

Be first in line for United #93 tomorrow and remember. Remember the anger. Remember the tears and the pain of the injured and bereaved families. Remember the smoke pouring out of the towers and the dust engulfing all of lower Manhattan. Remember the firefighters and remember the police and guards who died saving innocents. Remember we did nothing to deserve it.

Remember that Iran aided and aids al Qaeda to this day. Remember 9-11 and remember Iran's many murders of US soldiers, civilians and diplomats all over the world.

So to them, 9/11 was like the 1989 San Francisco earthquake or something...clean up the mess, bury the dead, and move on. Does this mean they're also ready to "forgive and forget" with Bush for masterminding it all?

You think they'd also tell blacks to get over slavery and for Muslims to get over the Crusades? It's been centuries, after all...

Since they're not likely to ever get over the 2000 election, and their perception is that the victims of 9/11 were rich white Republicans, "little Eichmans" so to speak, the answer would be "no".

213 z  Fri, Apr 21, 2006 1:58:57am

No one martyrs themselves without leaving someone behind to veiw them as a martyr. There is NO way that 9/11 was about 19 punks or 19 morons, or 19 angry men.

They're already trying. Look how the pictures of the Twin Towers collapsing have vanished. We can be bombarded with images of Abu Ghraib, but the Towers are "Too upsetting" for people to look at.

And then there's all the talk about how "disturbing" the movie Flight 93 is going to be, and how people "just aren't ready" for it yet. (I mean it's only been five years! Like, ya know, we should just move on and forget about it, but it's too traumatic for us, ya know?)

Trust me, when that movie actually hits the theaters, the Moonbats are going to be out in force, baying and whining about how scarey and "Islamophobic" it is. Again, we can be treated to a whitewash of history in "Kingdom of Heaven", but we can't look up close at modern history.

Yes, keeping our own images is a good idea.

the death of 3000 doesnt effect them
how dare they ever complain about the death of "innocents" in iraq.

if 9/11 did nothing to them, i pity them.

how almost half of the population could vote for a traitor like kerry is an indication that people on the left only cares about themselves.

Excellent point! We're supposed to get over 9/11, where thousands died, yet in their mind, the 2000 "stolen election" meme must be repeated ad infinitum.

My favorite comment from the Kos post:

Who but victims remembers a wrong done to them as a defining part of their character?

This is rich ... lefties complaining about a victim mentality. I remember them doing that during the Katrina thing, don't you?

232 Paul  Fri, Apr 21, 2006 6:52:12am

It's not just Kos, the DUmmies feel the same way. Of course, most of the DUmmies also believe that Bush either planned or allowed the 9/11 attacks to happen for his own insidious purposes.

Most loathsome DU quote:

9/11, the gift that keeps giving.

233 Occasional Reader  Fri, Apr 21, 2006 7:09:13am

Perhaps the single most self-absorbed sentence in the piece:

9/11 is my wedding anniversary so I was out of town, and spent the day rafting, which may well have given me a different perspective

We went rafting, and it was just so great! And then we went antiquing, and found the cutest things at this little store in the country. Oh, and dinner at The Olde Inn, it was just exquisite. I just wish people would stop trying to corrupt my delightful, bucolic memories of 9/11/01 by bringing up all that dumb airplane stuff.

It ties in with their mentality as well, in other words, they choose to go with things (issues) that give them immediate satisfaction.

235 ElKafir  Fri, Apr 21, 2006 8:07:58am

For me 9/11 will be over when Islam will cease to exist.
