It would be a crying shame if one of those missiles obliterated that golden turd on Temple Mount.

Looks like Carl and Dave are both listed ...

CNN reported that six Canadians were killed recent in Lebanon in an apartment bldg attack. This is going to get ugly, and the announcement from the G-8 summit was definitely... mixed.

This letter from a US Marine in Iraq was posted at Israellycool

I am the Marine that wrote to you about the News Media betraying us. I just wanted to tell you that we, Marines, SUPPORT Israel in their war against Hamas and Hizbullah. I cannot express to you how many Marines I have talked to or have heard say how proud of Israel they are. I cannot tell you how happy I am that Israel is destroying Hamas and Hizullah. We all CHEER when we watch Lebanon being bombed on TV in the Chow Hall. I hope Israel annihilates Hamas, Hizbullah and Syria. Because the way we see it, that is less Jihadists for us to fight. I can't speak for all Marines, but the Marines that I know and talk to stand by Israel 100%. And I am in the infantry, we are front line Marines. Warriors. We support Israel because we have fought the same people they are fighting, Jihadists. This is a world war. It has been a world war since 11 September 2001. Hopefully now people are realizing the true scale of this conflagration. And Israel is fighting the same enemy in Gaza and Lebanon as America is fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan, just on another front in the same war. And we see the Israeli Soldiers as brothers in arms against a common enemy. Myself and the Marines in my unit, Veterans of 2 tours in Iraq, support Israel all the way to victory. And I THANK the State of Israel for their determination, fortitude and vigilance in the destruction of Evil.
God Bless America.
God Bless Israel.
And God Bless all freedom loving people worldwide.

- US Marine and Veteran of the current world war.

PS Pay attention to Somalia. We are currently losing Somalia to the Jihadists and we are doing nothing about it. Someday we will have to go back Somalia and it will be a bloody mess.

I just made a similar posting on my blog. They're also looking for additional Israeli livebloggers to get the word out about what's going on over there. If you know folks/sites who are posting audio/video/images of the war, let them know as well.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei ... praised the Lebanese group Hezbollah for its “jihad” against the Jewish state.

Someone needs to edumacate this obvious islamaphobic person that jihad means internal struggle for peace.

He rejected the demand by U.S. President George W. Bush that Hezbollah disarm, vowing, “This will never happen”.

I believe him. They will never lay down arms and live in peace. As long as they breathe, they try to kill.

He also described the Bush administration as the “most hideous” U.S. government in recent years.

How kind of you to say so. Being hideous to monsters is high praise indeed.

Heh. Shit happens. Those missiles aren't all that accurate.

23 Silhouette  Sun, Jul 16, 2006 3:51:03pm

Be sure to check out the listings under "What you can do."

24 Regis  Sun, Jul 16, 2006 3:55:52pm

I would take it as a badge of honor to be called evil by an islamo-fascist like Khamenei. I'd know I was doing something right at least.

Someone's going to roast me for this, but I don't care:

Any Westerner stupid enough to be in Lebanon after what's been going on there for the past THIRTY FREAKIN' YEARS is a candidate for Darwinism in action.

Israel Rules has this news posted on its site - confirmation needed -

8:22 PM: Channel 2 is reporting that Hezbollah terrorists attempted to break through the northern border into Israel. They were stopped and killed before they could succeed.

Arutz 7 is reporting that it's been confirmed that the rocket that hit Haifa this morning was BOTH Iranian and Syrian. While the rocket contained part that came from Syria, the missile itself was the Iranian made Fajr missiles.

Hezbollah warned Israel that it would target Haifa's petrochemical plants if the IDf did not stop its attacks on Beirut.

More rockets landed in the Metula area, bringing the number of Katyusha rockets fired into Israel in the past 5 days as more than 800.

Great, only 9200 more to go. If there are any Hizzies left by then they'll surely call for a cease-fire after they run out of things to "fire".

I agree -- I'd have been out of there the day Hizbullah kidnapped the soldiers. The sad part is the agitprop opportunity. While in the end agitprop always fails over time, in the near term it saps energy and resource from folks who need to be focused on the war right now.

30 Silhouette  Sun, Jul 16, 2006 4:17:02pm

OT - I was starting to feel left out that the media only hinted that Israel were Nazis with their "blitz" headlines. But here we see the term used with the US.

U.S. Vows to Continue Anti-Taliban Blitz

Note the implication here that the 800 below were all civilians, all killed by coalition troops.

Afghanistan is witnessing its deadliest spate of violence since the U.S.-led invasion. More than 800 people, mainly Afghans, have been killed since May, according to an Associated Press tally of coalition and Afghan figures.

Afghan President Hamid Karzai has criticized the coalition for killing too many civilians.

Pay no attention to Col. Tom Collins, chief U.S. spokesman in Kabul.

Collins said there was no evidence that coalition forces killed or wounded civilians in any of the incidents.

Dude, some of those people still have family there. It was also the height of tourist season. Not to mention the fact that until just recently the northern part of the country wasn't so bad.

Great links. I'm so glad Al Gore invented the innernut.

Saw a post in another forum board: Secretary of State Condi Rice made an off-the-record statement to Angela Merkel's foreign policy aide, overheard by a German staffer:

"Nuclear war now inevitable."

WTF!

Another suggestion:
buy Israeli goods.
