-RetweetAhmadinejad: "The Iranian People Will Force You to Bow and Surrender"

Mon, Aug 21, 2006 at 1:07:57 pm PDT

From Iranian TV, August 13, 2006. (Courtesy of MEMRI TV.)

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad: When they talk about a “New Middle East,” they mean a Middle East that is held captive by America, England, and the Zionist regime. When they talk about a “New Middle East,” they do not mean progress, development, independence, or freedom for the countries [of the region]. They oppose independence, freedom, and progress. Look at Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon, and other places. I say to them: The peoples of the region have awakened. It so happens that our peoples are also calling for a New Middle East. The Middle East that our peoples want is a free Middle East, which is not under the control of America and England.

[...]

Those who were involved in planning this barbaric attack, those who supported this barbaric attack, and those who prevented the cease-fire are accomplices in the crimes of the Zionist regime, and must be placed on trial. To be more specific, America and England purport to support human rights, freedom, and democracy. When a cat’s leg is run over by a municipal vehicle in some city, they hold a mourning ceremony. But they had the audacity to postpone the cease-fire for at least three weeks. They explicitly declared that the Zionist regime should be allowed to crush the resistance, and to occupy the land, and that [only] then would there be a cease-fire. I want to declare loud and clear, so that the whole world will hear: These two countries are not worthy of being members of the Security Council.

[...]

If you want to have good relations with the Iranian people in the future, you should acknowledge the right and the might of the Iranian people, and you should bow and surrender to the might of the Iranian people. If you do not accept this, the Iranian people will force you to bow and surrender.

Bow and surrender? Never Surrender!

Blitz - Never Surrender

Never surrender, never give in
Never let the enemy win
Never say why, never say die
It's always worth another try

Never surrender!
Never surrender!
Never surrender!
Never surrender!

Never give in to things they say
Better move fast before its too late
Lose the race, lose your face
Better keep cool and play the ace

24 hiker  Mon, Aug 21, 2006 11:18:03am

We don't have time to wait for a cadre of Iranian military officers to put a suitcase bomb under Ahmadinnrjacket's table. This guy needs to be seriously whacked, and now. But don't stop there: take out all the mullahs, as well. And, while we're at it, thoroughly and completely destroy Wahhabism, as it is the viral vanguard of the disease called islam.

25 de La Valette  Mon, Aug 21, 2006 11:18:05am

I would like to note the more Americans probably identify the 22nd of August as the release date for Madden 2007 then whatever this nutjob has been ranting about.

Its a shame he doesn't say this shit in English, people might actually care.

26 republic  Mon, Aug 21, 2006 11:18:10am

There never has been, and there never will be freedom for the great majority of muslims, anywhere, as long as nutjobs like ahmadinnerjacket are in power!

They talk about "freedom", "independence", and "progressive". all the while, killing millions of their own muslim bretheran.

Liars, deceivers, and human butchers, is all that islamofacist terrorist leaders can guarentee of themselves!

/spit!

27 FabioC.  Mon, Aug 21, 2006 11:18:30am

His blathering about "the Iranian people" is clearly aimed at taking all onboard on a nationalist basis. Not exactly a new rethoric trick.

Supreme Leader Calls for Muslim Unity against US

TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei stressed that the only way for the world Muslims to encounter the US and get rid of her pressures lies in their solidarity and collective expression of their hatred for the US administration.

They are saying alot of things...

Iran-Ahmadinejad-Islamic Revolution
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad here Sunday said that today all Iranians across the world should attempt to support the lofty ideals of Founder of the Islamic Republic, the late Imam Khomeini

Maybe in a sense America and England should NOT be on the UN Security Council...

particularly in the sense that the UN should be abolished as a totally useless organization that eats up American and British money and time and manpower that could be better used to defeat those Zionist enemies in every cave, under every rock on the planet, in all corners of the world...

And start with Armageddonisjihad and all the Hezbo's...show the world what the "Evil West" can do when really pissed off.

And while we mourn the fact the cat got run over, we mourn the loss of human life at every turn while you celebrate the death of children and women that all other societies protect...shame on you.

I felt the atmosphere suddenly change, and for those 27 or 28 minutes, the leaders of the world did not blink. When I say they didn't bat an eyelid, I'm not exaggerating because I was looking at them. And they were rapt.

It seemed as if a hand was holding them there and had opened their eyes to receive the message from the Islamic republic." Ahmadinejad reporting on his UN speech.

Michael Rubin has written an article for National Review (8/28 issue), "An Arrow in Our Quiver", which is a case for reinstating assasination as an acceptable method of dealing with thugs and monsters.

He cogently applies it to many recent periods in history whereby a single execution of a known monster would have saved thousands of lives. Examples (of many) include:

Qadaffi
Milosevic
Hussein

King Phillip II, Alexander's dad, sent his Spartan counterpart a threat. "If we cross the border and invade your land, we will kill your men, enslave your women and children, seize your fields. It will be better for you to surrender your arms and now pay tribute." Sparta's answer rivalled for terseness Leonidas's "Molon Labe" (Come and get them)at Thermopalye when asked by the Persian King to surrender. Sparta's answer to Phillip was, "If."

Phillip did not invade Sparta.

Can't fault his logic there. I don't see why the US and Israel put up with the SC thugs either. But, let's go a couple of steps further and get the US and Israel out of the UN entirely, and relocate the UN to Brussels or Paris where it belongs.

Now about that bow down thing:

Doesn't sound lke that's going to happen, pal.

To live life all scared
Freedom is to be paid
Coming to those who dared

Band together in the face of fear
Rally round and be counted
Stand up for what is dear

Still, a leading member of the second largest opposition party, Francesco Storace, a senator for the right-wing National Alliance, has described the Lebanon mission as "running against Italy's national interests".

Slamming what he said was lack of support for the mission by Italy's EU parnters. "[French President Jacques] Chirac will send a couple of generals, Germany a few military boats" while Italy risked sending it troops like "kamikaze's wrapped in the tricolour (Italy's green-white-and-red flag)," Storace said.

Asked why he was comparing the Italian troops to the kamikaze - suicide fighters employed by Japan during World War II in a desperate effort change the outcome of the conflict - Storace said that describing the Lebanon operation as a peace mission was "hypocrisy".

"If we were to be allowed to disarm Hezbollah then I would be the first to say yes to the mission, but as things stand we risk placing our troops in the middle without even being allowed to slap anyone," Storace said.

But Hellzbollocks,
Perched just north of Jewville did not.
They hated the Jews,
The whole Jewish entity.
They longed to expunge
The Jewish identity.
Why?
It could be, perhaps,
That they hated like heck.
It could be they were shy

It’s because their religion

Protest petition by IDF reservists back from the war

The following is the text of a petition signed by IDF reservists who served in the Spearhead Brigade in Lebanon, sent to Defense Minister Amir Peretz and IDF Chief of Staff Dan Halutz in protest at the handling of the war by the government and senior military officials:

We, fighters and commanders at the Spearhead [Hod Hachanit] Brigade, were called up to enlist under an emergency mobilization order [Tzav 8] on July 30, 2006. Our attendance was complete in all battalions.

As we were signing on the battle equipment and weapons, we knew that we were signing for much more. We left behind wives and children, girlfriends and families. We put aside our jobs and livelihoods; we were prepared to carry out our mission under the most difficult of conditions, in heat, thirst or hunger.

At the back of his mind, each and every one of us knew, that for the just cause of protecting the citizens of Israel, we would even put our lives on the line.

But there was one thing we were not and would not be willing to accept: We were unwilling to accept indecisiveness. The war's aim, which was not defined clearly, was even changed in the course of the fighting.

The indecisiveness manifested itself in inaction, in not carrying out operational plans, and in canceling all the missions we were given during the fighting. This led to prolonged stays in hostile territory, without an operational purpose and out of unprofessional considerations, without seeking to engage in combat with the enemy.

The "cold feet" of the decision-makers were evident everywhere. To us the indecisiveness expressed deep disrespect for our willingness to join the ranks and fight and made us feel as though we had been spat on, since it contradicts the principles and values of warfare upon which we were trained at the Israel Defense Forces.

The heavy feeling that in the echelons above us there is nothing but under-preparation, insincerity, lack of foresight and inability to make rational decisions, leads to the question - were we called up for nothing?

We are now on the day after, and it seems that the immorality and the absence of any shame are the fig-leaves to be used in order to cover up for the blunders. The blunders of the past six years and the under-preparation of the army have been carried on our backs - the backs of the fighters. In order to face the next battle prepared - and this may happen soon - a thorough and fundamental change must take place.

The crisis of confidence between us as fighters and the higher echelons will not be resolved without a thorough and worthy investigative commission under the auspices of the state. When the commission completes its task, conclusions must be drawn both on the level of strategic planning and national security, and on the personal level of the parties involved.

We paid a heavy price in order to fight and come out of the battle victorious, and we feel this has been denied of us. We will all attend calls to enlist in the future for any mission we will be required to complete, but we would like to know that these missions will be part of a clear objective and will be carried out by striving to engage in combat.

As soldiers and citizens we expect a response at your earliest convenience,

We the undersigned

Fighters and officers of the Spearhead Brigade

Are there any psychologists out there?

There seems to be a sick obsession with Israel, Jews, and America by Iranians, but also many other world leaders particularly in the Arab world. This seems to be much more than just a typical obsession. There seems to be some serious deep mental illness with this throughout the Arab world.

If this fool is dumb enough to launch a bomb at Israel or the U.S., or if he plans to anything with a WMD in either country, then he gives us no choice but to completely incinerate he and his people IMHO.

It's long overdue for America to let Israel fight her war unhindered and way, way overdue for our military to unleash hell on Hizballah.

If we get hit by this clown and his minions someplace and hundreds or thousands die, this time, I am personally going to hold responsible all of our political leaders (Rep and Dim alike) for being too gutless to preemptively act in our best interests.

And George Bush needs to go on national TV and give one warning, no holds barred, to these little thugs like Mahmoud and Chavez we've had it with your threats. Put up or shut up or we will do it for you. And let them know we will specifically be aiming for them - better sleep with one eye open.

Jihad on Jews in Mumbai (Bombay)?...
Israeli advisory has put Indian Jewish community on alert

In the backdrop of continuing tension in the Middle East, synagogues in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai have been advised to step up their security.

Israeli embassy officials have issued an advisory urging the Jewish community to become vigilant after two men attempted to forcibly enter the Magen Hassidim synagogue in Agripada on July 25.

She must have said "bow down," at least thirty times. Then they brought her back as a freak act on the Finals show. She was hilarious, and she's probably better equipped to run Iran than the idiot that's spewing forth "bow downs" there now.

Oh, and who was it - Krushchev? Who said, "We will bury you." Oh, and where is his powerful Soviet Union now? Extinct.

They Islam and Iranians in general want the west to bow down and become Dhimmi's. No question about that in this latest absurd statement from the Iranian President. Unfortunately the world has closed its eyes except for the U.S. to this Mad Man of Iran.
The world especially the U.N. is in love with the Iranian President and his fellow arab cohorts.

Prolly already said above but I am limited on time...

Time for a new crusade. Time for the satanic death cult of islam to be eradicated from the planet.

People laughed at the Nazis when they were making similar "comic" statements on the streets of the Weimar Republic...until they took over the government. Then they weren't just crackpots on soapboxes anymore...

I only hope we truly wake up before terrorist nukes explode within our borders.

Read about the history of islam. Encourage others to learn about dhimmitude, jizya, hudna, and the abusiveness of this absolutely satanic death cult in the 1400+ years it has existed. You don't hear "moderate" muslims condemning terrorism because there is NO SUCH THING as a moderate muslim...only muslims lulling all us khaffirs into complacency before they have the power to cut off our collective heads.

Islamic Republic of Iran: a predominately Shiite Muslim nation that once existed until, in the words of U. S. President George W. Bush (2001-2009), "We had to destroy it, in order to save it." Those non-radioactive portions of Iran not subsequently granted their independence are currently divided into American, British, Iraqi, and Russian zones of occupation.

Australian umpire awards game to England that Pakistan was winning

For many in this impoverished Muslim nation, the most important thing — after God — is the gentlemanly English game of cricket.

That reverence turned to fury Monday when Pakistanis burned pictures of an authoritarian Australian umpire and dubbed him a “mini Hitler” for his role in the sport’s first international forfeit, which awarded to England a game that Pakistan was winning.

The result angered millions across Pakistan, ranging from sports icons to schoolchildren. To make matters worse, the dispute — which centered on allegations that Pakistan’s pitcher-like bowlers had tampered with the ball — took on racial overtones.

Church Says Women Shouldn't Teach Sunday School Classes To Men, Cites Bible
Monday, August 21, 2006

WATERTOWN, N.Y. — The minister of a church that dismissed a female Sunday School teacher after adopting what it called a literal interpretation of the Bible says a woman can perform any job — outside of the church.

The First Baptist Church dismissed Mary Lambert on Aug. 9 with a letter explaining that the church had adopted an interpretation that prohibits women from teaching men.

This is news? I grew up in a church like this, and to this day my son's church still follows this teaching . I sure don't know how it would suddenly be newsworthy.

Anyway . . . just thought it was odd. Carry on :)

The Daily Mail is still censoring reader comments to the passenger uprising story. You'll notice at the bottom in the reader comments section it says clearly

5 people have commented on this story so far. Tell us what you think below.

Here's a sample of the latest comments published. You can click view all to read all comments that readers have sent in.

Emphasis mine. But "view all" doesn't show you "all the comments readers have sent in", only the ones the Daily Mail has approved for posting - which, surprise surprise, all side against the passengers. This is not "all" because it doesn't include my comment, nor the comments of some other people I know. And I strongly doubt that the five comments published are a representative "sample" either.

Something is coming down...

Egypt has deployed 1,300 civilian police officers to beef up security – currently 750 Egyptian border guards - along the Gaza-Egypt border over fears Palestinian militants might attempt to breach the frontier, Egyptian officials said on Monday. Egypt fears the gunmen

could try to forcibly enter Egypt to assist stranded Palestinians in returning to the Gaza Strip.

The Egyptian sources said the militants at the border in Gaza were angry because the crossing -- expected to be open on Saturday and Sunday -- opened for only a single day. Last month Hamas gunmen blew a six-meter (20-foot) hole in the Gaza-Egypt border wall. (Reuters)

TEXT: Protest petition by IDF reservists back from the war

If you want to have good relations with the Iranian people in the future, you should acknowledge the right and the might of the Iranian people, and you should bow and surrender to the might of the Iranian people. If you do not accept this, the Iranian people will force you to bow and surrender.

Um, if you have to kill me, I didn't surrender.

So I guess there's no "force you" within the realm of possibility.

What a waste. I mean, thank G-d he's back home and safe, but what about all those soldiers that died and were wounded ... for what?

It's not as if Hezbollah didn't take a pretty bad beating, it's that Israel is used to quick, decisive one-week wars, and for the first time, they ran into a well-armed, well dug in enemy. So this will take longer, and will occur in several acts. That's the way most wars are.

It's hard to get a good fix on how much damage was done to Hezbollah, but nobody's saying that it was insignificant.

Nah, more like a tick.

They're so flat they're almost two-dimensional, and it makes them exceedingly difficult to pin down.

Plus, they're a pain in the backside, and they carry disease.

There is no "restraint" in handling the little buggers; you have to use overwhelming force.

#347, Hopefully some clarity of purpose will emerge from the "weirdness". I think something is going on far beyond what is obvious. I am reminded of 1940, when Hitler put off Operation Barbarossa, the invasion of the Soviet Union for six weeks while he pulled Mussolini's nuts out of the fire. That six weeks was a crucial factor in the Soviets survival. Perhaps there is a reason that Olmert does not want to expend resources in Lebanon at this time. If so it is not obvious to me of the troops who fought in Lebanon under his governments command.

I was gonna say something about the topic of this post, but after I got through with fucking over Tantraman in the last thread, I read this thread and see that all that's worth saying has been said, so I'll just add: FUCK YOU Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the sheep you rode in, in.

Hostage: The Jill Carroll Story - Part 7: False hopes

By this point, I had learned much about the way the mujahideen operated. To me, at least, some of their tactics were surprisingly clever.

Take transportation. Men with beards, and cars with only one or two men, drew too much attention from patrols and at checkpoints. So they shaved their beards and drove around as families, kids and women included. They played Shiite music. As insurgents, they knew how to not look like an insurgent.

Iran needs more psychologists, psychiatrists

Head of Iran's Psychology and Psychiatry Organization said here on Monday that keeping in mind the high level of social problems in the country, we are today faced with shortage in number of practicing psychologists and psychiatrists.

Afrouz said, "In a country where seven million divorce dossiers are at the present time filed at the family courts, addiction to narcotics is rising rapidly, and the mental hospitals have no vacancy, it is obvious that we need more active psychologists."
He added, "Fifty-one percent of the juvenile culprits at state training centers are the students that have been kicked out of schools and this means the Education Ministry needs to pay closer attention to mental health of the students."

Ohh, that explains many many things.

Two blondes die on the same day and end up on line waiting to see St. Peter.

The 1st one says to the 2nd one, "How'd you die?"

"Froze to death. How'd YOU die?"

"Heart attack."

"Really? What happened?"

"Well I knew my husband was cheating on me, so I ran into the bedroom to catch them. But he was alone. So I ran down to the basement to catch HER. But she wasn't there either. So I ran up to the attic. She wasn't there either. Then I dropped dead of a heart attack."

The 2nd one shakes her head and says, "if you'd only looked in the freezer, we'd both still be alive."

and you should bow and surrender to the might of the Iranian people

Any excuse is enough:

Invictus
by William Ernest Henley; 1849-1903

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find me, unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate;
I am the captain of my soul.

Not likely to be bloodied, or bowed.

Hi there! Sometimes you just have to say something particularly trenchant or provoking in order to get attention. Most folks read the comments, so don't feel insulted, neighbor!

Neighbour you say? Is that across the ditch? or closer?

You have a point, but there was a lot of confusion and too many of our boys died. Then there was a cease-fire! It just seems like such a horrible waste of beautiful lives.

Please don't misunderstand; I think it was handled poorly, I just don't think it was an unmitigated disaster. I think that the present status could have turned a lot better had the operation been managesd better.

From here in the US, the way this was handled looks a lot like how Clinton handled Mogodishu; the military presented a plan to do what they thought was realistic, and the civilian leadership dawdled, and cut the plan back, and in general screwed the pooch, thinking that there's a such thing as a scalable victory. That's what has me very uncomfortable with Olmert. He resembles Clinton too much.

At this point, if he survives politically, he has a resounding mandate. If he survives, I hope he understands that, and doesn't dither more. Because, as we all know, there will be an act II.

Mahdi climbing out of a well. That just sounds creepy. I can imagine a grey slimy hand ala "The Ring" slowly getting a grip on the jagged rock of the top of the well, while crazy-eyed shiites, prance and ululate. Good God, I'm going to have Lovecraftian nightmares tonight. I wonder if that's what muslim parents teach their future-cannon fodder progeny to be fearful of?

"Clean your room, Abdul, you don't want the Mahdi to come get you!"

What if he pops out of the well looking like that little dude from the "Leprechaun" movie series:

Yup, I know Iran is Shi'a, and I know Wahhabism is a Saudi based movement, and that KSA is a Sunni nation. I also know that it is Wahhabism that is on a global mission, and in fact is the dominat element in the vast majority of mosques in America. It was Wahhabism that radicalized Chechnya beyond what it already was.

Cue the bland music:

There's got to be a morning after
while our ship is upside down
We have a chance to find the sunshine
if we can see around Shelly Winter's ass...

Oh can't you see the morning after?
It's waiting right outside the storm
Why don't we cross the bridge together
And find the place that's safe and warm.

It's not too late, we should be giving
Only with love can we climb
up to the bottom of the ship
It's not too late, not while we're living
Let's put our hands out in time.

There's got to be a morning after
We're moving closer to the shore
I know we'll be there by tomorrow
And we'll escape the darkness
We won't be searching anymore.

There's got to be a morning after
(There's got to be a morning after)
There's got to be a morning after
(There's got to be a morning after)
There's got to be a morning after
(There's got to be a morning after)
There's got to be a morning after
(There's got to be a morning after)
There's got to be a morning after

Hi Aladin!

515 BabbaZee  Mon, Aug 21, 2006 3:06:59pm

The essential diference between us and them

The Torah of Israel holds the key to holiness, to the purification of the soul, and to the clarification of right vs. wrong, good vs. evil, truth vs. falsehood, and essence vs. externality and the loss of self. The Torah provides the law of life, the key to affect the return to the initial purity and unity of the Garden of Eden. All of our spiritual perceptions, when carefully discerned, may truly contribute to, inspire, and support the essential process of return.
~ Nechama Sarah Gila Burgeman

Two groups - the Jews and the Christians - are the main elements constituting the 'Camp of Kufur' and will continue to be its two foundations until Allah allows their downfall and annihilation at the end of days

Dinner, shminner. I need to know if I should bother making a Visa payment? Or pay the phone/cable/light bills?

One of the more interesting theories that I've heard about the impending economic crisis in Iran over (of all things) gasoline imports is that they aren't planning anything beyond August. To them, it won't matter.

It actually makes sense, if you think about it. If they're that supremely confident that the mahdi's coming, etc., then why plan to pay the gasoline bills for September?

I'd sure like to believe that. I'd sure like to believe that there'll be hell to pay, and nothing to pay it with.

Head like a hole.
Black as your soul.
Id rather die than give you control.
Head like a hole.

Good one! There was a time when I'd have written this:

Should you stay or should you go now?
Should you stay or should you go now?
If you stay there will be trouble
If you go I'll have a double...

Not much argument there, is there? I was happy to be a free man again.

I think the final tune on my Armageddon playlist would have to be:

Eight Miles High
The Byrds
Eight miles high and when you touch down
You’ll find that it’s stranger than known
Signs in the street that say where you’re going
Are somewhere just being their own

Nowhere is there warmth to be found
Among those afraid of losing their ground
Rain gray town known for it’s sound
In places small faces unbound

Round the squares huddled in storms
Some laughing some just shapeless forms
Sidewalk scenes and black limousines
Some living some standing alone

Wouldn't it be widely known that Iran wasn't planning on importing gas after September? I know zero about the oil & gas biz, but it would seem reasonable that contracts aren't left to the last minute for renewal.

I think that one can be chalked up to "what if" fantasies.

But, on the other hand, if there are no plans to import gas and the imam doesn't pop out of his grave and the world does not end, things are going to get very nasty in Iran domestically. Then I wouldn't put it past the midget and the ayatollahs to start something, with Israel, the USA, anyone, to take the heat off.

That said, even with Iran's official announcement coming up (here's a sneak preview - "Pound sand"), the only nasty thing coming out of the Armageddon we're having fun with is Iran making more threats and crazy cat talk.

I hope.

By Bill Withers...

Sometimes in our lives we all have pain
We all have sorrow
But if we are wise
We know that there's always tomorrow

Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on

Please swallow your pride
If I have things you need to borrow
For no one can fill those of your needs
That you don't let show

Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on

If there is a load you have to bear
That you can't carry
I'm right up the road
I'll share your load
If you just call me

So just call on me brother, when you need a hand
We all need somebody to lean on
I just might have a problem that you'd understand
We all need somebody to lean on

Lean on me when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
Till I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on

Lean on me...

This is the end
Beautiful friend
This is the end
My only friend, the end

Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end
No safety or surprise, the end
I'll never look into your eyes...again

Can you picture what will be
So limitless and free
Desperately in need...of some...stranger's hand
In a...desperate land

Lost in a Roman...wilderness of pain
And all the children are insane
All the children are insane
Waiting for the summer rain, yeah

There's danger on the edge of town
Ride the King's highway, baby
Weird scenes inside the gold mine
Ride the highway west, baby

Ride the snake, ride the snake
To the lake, the ancient lake, baby
The snake is long, seven miles
Ride the snake...he's old, and his skin is cold

The west is the best
The west is the best
Get here, and we'll do the rest

The blue bus is callin' us
The blue bus is callin' us
Driver, where you taken' us

Mahmoud Mymaneedajob is living the life of the Iranian folk hero, Ali Golabi. The resemblances are striking. This from Amir Teheri..

That tale is woven around its hero Ali Golabi (Pear-shaped Ali) who is a small chap with big ambitions.

The bigger chaps in the neighborhood dismiss him as a midget, bully him whenever they can, and never offer him a seat at the table in the teahouse which is their haunt. So what does Ali Golabi do? He goes around waving a big knife, making a big noise, breaking a window here and there, and, occasionally, even strangling a street cat to show his strength. His agitations annoy the big chaps who want to sip their tea, puff their hookahs and play a game of backgammon in peace.
Nevertheless, Ali knows where and when to stop. As soon as the big chaps come out of the teahouse to confront him, he declares that he has already done whatever he had wanted to do and is now ready not to do it again. This helps ease the tension and gets Ali off the hook- until the next showdown.

I remember conversations I had before 9/11 where I suggested that for the sake of the Iranian people that the Islamic holy city of Qom where the ayatollahs are should be exterminated. Every man, woman, child, goat, tree, flower, and roach killed, every building burnt to the ground, and the soil sown with anthrax, lead, mercury and other toxins to last a thousand years. People seemed to think I was extreme. I wonder if they would wish to reconsider in view of Ahmadinejad's speech.

Rejoice in the heart-warming knowledge that no longer will we allow our beloved citizens the bothersome reponsiblities of travel, elections, wealth, security, music, sports, opposing views, private property, fun, chess, jobs, old age, respect, toilets that flush, medicine, art, electricity, freedom to marry whom you like, food, and all the other depravities of a free society! I don't think any of us should make the mistake of not taking Ahmadinejad seriously...or more appropraitely, his mullah bosses. Important to remember that rather than Hitler, Ahmadinejad is Goebells,a spokeshole and front man who does what he's told.

Keep in mind that Ahmadinejad was someone who trained children, the Baseji militia to clear Iraqi minefields with their bodies during the Iran/Iraq war.

No joke. That black and white scarf he wears is a baseji scarf, not a Palestinian doodad.

I think the festivities to honor 27 Rajab (August 22nd) will be in the form of an announcement or a weapons test.

But the question remains...what are we going to do about it?

Diplomacy is wasted, especially in a forum like the UN.

We need to have the courage to do a
pre-emptive AND IN DEPTH strike not only on
Iran's nuclear and military facilities, but on it's ports, gas and oil fields.

We need to target out its leadership in Qoms and Tehran.

In that way, we end not only it's nuclear threat but its cashflow and thus its position as the leader of the jihad against the West..which is how Iran sees itself.

In short, we need to do what Reagan did to Qadafffi, bit in a much more pronounced and in depth fashion.

This isn't a good option, and will not be without cost - we may even have to institute rationing until our domestic oil production ramps up.

But as we've seen in Iraq, half measures are useless with these people, and only lead to worse outrages.

This all reminds me of the first Gulf War, when Bush Sr said - in *direct response* to Saddam saying he would wash his hands with American blood (or something about a river of blood - definitely something about a lot of American blood) - that he was going to kick Saddam's @$$. And so then some Arab man wrote in to the papers saying that *WE* had to learn how to listen to Arabs and how to talk to them! That Saddam was "just being poetic", and that *our* President was rude! The incredible arrogance of the admonishment, and the belligerent refusal to understand that these things work BOTH WAYS was breathtakingly astounding, to say nothing of enfuriating and digusting. I cite this as preamble to this remark: they would have a FIT if WE said the same thing that they have said to us. They'd swear they were being threatened and would start bombing.

I just think Matisyahu sounds close sometimes. Shoot, I know Jesus is a Jewish thing. At some point in my own life I figured out that I was the decendent of european Jews who kind of lost it in the process of immigrating here in the 18th and 19th and early 20th centuries. I think I'm the only one in my family that cares and they all look like and act like Jews. Haha. My Mom kashers meat and she doesn't know why she does it, its just what you do to meat...
