Moronic Convergence: Last Gasp of the Socialist Geezers

Thu, Oct 5, 2006 at 5:31:27 pm PDT

It’s a Michael Moore remake of Todd Browning’s Freaks, in the World Can’t Wait Day of Mass Resistance. El Marco was there and has a photo gallery at Flickr: Last Gasp NYC Oct. 5, 2006.

“Mass Resistance,” in this case, being defined as: about a thousand people.

El Marco’s full photo album is here.

LGF operative NoSubmission also sent along some photos from Union Square, which I have put through the LGF slideshowizer: The World Can’t Wait For Them to Shut Up.

Stopped by the Union Square leg of the World Can’t Wait rally after work. I had been there earlier today at lunch and took a photo of the statue of Ghandi before the crowds came. It was supposed to culminate in an all-night song festival but the cop I spoke to said they will ask them to leave at 8.00. They should have changed it to the World Can’t Bother to Show Up rally because there was hardly anyone there. This is a shocker for NYC being a moonbat mecca. No papier mache heads but there was a large Bush head. The usual stands hawking t-shirts, buttons and publications but no crowds. The space they had cordoned off on Union Square North was not even a third full. The overall feeling was one of anemic rage, worn out slogans and paranoia. A woman in the crowd kept screaming ‘psychopath’ over and over. The speakers were literally screaming and shrieking so loud into the massive sound system it was painful. Ran into a former colleague and we both remarked on how dismally empty it was. I was happy to leave.

No papier maché heads? No wonder nobody showed up.

OT: The Telegraph via Dhimmi Watch:

Plans for a Muslim-only hospital in Holland have sparked a heated debate over its separate all-male and all-female wings, halal food and roster of duty imams.

A populist Right-wing party described the plan for the clinic in south Rotterdam as "a step backwards to the Middle Ages".

There will be segregation between the sexes, with male patients treated by an exclusively male nursing and medical staff and similar arrangements for females.

Isn't that cute: a Sharia-style hospital. Gender apartheid schools and workplaces to come later!

Moonbatland

I spent the day in Moonbatland;
I saw the Moronic Convergence.
The funny hair, the vacant stare;
Such quaint little home-grown insurgents.

On leaflets, posters, T-shirts too,
A dearth of cerebral emergence,
And, from the moonbat party line,
no tolerance for all divergence.

They milled about, in Moonbatland,
Secure in psychotic submergence.
Humanity has but one hope:
An anti-moonbattian resurgence.

There were more cops than protesters here in Chicago. They had a whole cadre of officers sitting there all day (what money that must have cost!) to keep the peace for the sputtering ramblings of washed up commies. But before I got on the L, I did get to see a giant paper-mache G.W. Bush wearing convict pinstripes. At least there's some value to these fools...comic value.

..oh and my highlight was when I got to tell some teenager walking away from the 'rally' that "apparently the world can wait".

After hearing about todays Mass Resistance Demo's today, I went down to the State Capitol building in this Northwest State to see the rally that was being promoted on these folks website. I had my camera and sharpened defensive belt buckle ready to go at noon sharp. I was the only one there! Not a single shitbird showed up! Even the homeless guys that usually hang out on the lawn in the Shadow of the dome were out to lunch! After talking with the State Capitol police man on the corner for a few minutes I decided to do a 360 of the block and a tour of the building. Nothing happening! One thing I did notice though, since I was never challenged or searched, I could have left enough oxidizer in my wake to levitate the building had I wanted too. There was 0 security inside that building. In the interest of National Security, I will not identify the state this took place in.

I would perhaps have put Ghengis Khan there instead of Napolean, but the ol' warlord who converted a few recalcitrant cities along the way into piles of skulls, pales against Stalin, Mao and Pol Pot.
These people have no idea as to the definition of "tyrant." What they are going on is what their "facilitators" urged them to feel was a tyrant.
Bush has rounded those creaky protestors against his regime all up and jailed them, right? Bush has burned down their houses/apartments and slaughtered all their relatives for the crime of being related to them, cast salt on their organic gardens and obliterated their faces off their family statuary ... what? He hasn't done that? Why the last person to have done that in recent memory was ... Saddam. There's always Kim Il Jung, under whom the N. Koreans have learned how to survive on a diet of dirt while he gets all rolly-poly, and the current communist regime in China that has finally hit on the export to keep their economy afloat, human organs from criminals - just need more criminals to make it work. Ship these people off to Cuba for a year. They'll be back, on rickety home-made boats before the 12 months is done, begging the Coast Guard to not turn them away.

Napoleon, not a tyrant? Well, he was certainly a great law-giver, yet still a dictator establishing the Napoleonic code based upon Roman law. In any case he was a boy scout compared to real tyrants like the ones that I and others here have described. King William I and Edward I of England were much worse than him along with the others mentioned.

It was not fun. The feeling there was so dead and desperate all at once. They kept trying to hand me flyers and I did my best to remain neutral or at least not try to show my revulsion.

The difference between this and the Stand By Israel rally at the UN last month is incredible.

In San Francisco, aka Moonbat World Headquarters, about 300 protesters showed up for the World Can't Wait demonstration. (They were predicting 3,000-10,000). I guess moonbats don't like to march in the rain?

The best part was that, before, during and after the moonbat parade, the Blue Angels were streaking overhead, filling the San Francisco air with the wonderful sound of unmuffled fighter jet engines, as they practiced for the upcoming Fleet Week celebration. That must have driven the moonbats even crazier than they usually are!

I always wondered about that. Moonbats and microphones.

They invariably shout/scream into them. Did it ever occur to them that you have an amplifier hook into the systen so you don't have to shout?

They end up screming into them, get all distorted, can't hear dickall of what they are saying.

I wandered down to CIty Hall for the Toronto protest at noon today. There were quite a few people there - because of a fire drill in the building! I could tell they weren't protesters because they were bathed and wearing business suits.

No posters, megaphones, stage. nothing. I was expecting at least a few moonbats and Hezbollah flags.

But last Friday noon we had about 1,000 out for a support the troops rally.

I might have to change my mind about Toronto...

From Mars? Really?

I heard that the human race was actually from a planet on the other side of the galaxy called Kobol(according to the hit show, Battlestar Galactica), and we are the 13th tribe. The other 12 were wiped out by the Cylons(a robotic version of Al Queda) and their stupid moonbats that they could get along with the Cylons.

I did this for a mailing list for a role playing game.

I'll probably get hit with the banning stick now...

Yes, that was a reference to Cuckoo's nest. The Randall P. McMurphy reference, not the Bellamy Brothers.

This may come as a surprise to everyone, but there were no protests such as these in rural west Kentucky today. At least, I didn't see any. I wasn't near any college campuses today, though. I'll have to ask my moonbat professor friends in Bowling Green.

There's a down town fairy singing out "Proud Mary"
as she cruises Christopher Street
And some Southern Queen is acting loud and mean
where the docks and the Badlands meet

This Halloween is something to be sure
Especially to be here without you

There's a Greta Garbo and an Alfred Hitchcock
and some black Jamaican stud
There's five Cinderellas and some leather drags
I almost fell into my mug

There's a Crawford, Davis and a tacky Cary Grant
And some Homeboys lookin' for trouble down here from the Bronx

But there ain't no Hairy and no Virgin Mary
you won't hear those voices again
And Johnny Rio and Rotten Rita
you'll never see those faces again

This Halloween is something to be sure
Especially to be here without you

There's the Born Again Losers and the Lavender Boozers
and some crack team from Washington Heights
The boys from Avenue B and the girls from Avenue D
a Tinkerbell in tights

This celebration somehow get me down
Especially when I see you're not around

There's no Peter Pedantic saying things romantic
in Latin, Greek or Spic
There's no Three bananas or Brandy Alexander
dishing all their tricks

It's a different feeling that I have today
Especially when I know you've gone away

There's a girl from Soho with a teeshirt saying "I Blow"
she's with the "jive five 2 plus 3"
And the girls for pay dates are giving cut rates
or else doing it for free

The past keeps knock, knock, knocking on my door
And I don't want to hear it anymore

No consolations please for feelin' funky
I got to get my head above my knees
But it makes me mad and mad makes me sad
and then I start to freeze

In the back of my mind I was afraid it might be true
In the back of my mind I was afraid that they meant you

The Halloween Parade
At the Halloween parade
At the Halloween parade
See you next year, at the Halloween parade

The thread about the Columbia University attack on the Minuteman founder earlier today is nearly dead. Right now, it's down to Affinity drooling saliva on it. But this think from WND gives another account of events, in which the tolerant Columbia liberals taunt a black board member of the Minutemen with racial slurs.

"An African-American member of the Minuteman board who spoke prior to Gilchrist was taunted with the "n-word," according to WND columnist Jerome Corsi."

There is a lot more. [Link: worldnetdaily.com...]

I was at a college basketball game last year, and a group of these grubby looking lefties filed through the arena passing out fliers about blood for oil. The fliers were incredibly condescending and smug. That's part of the left's problems: they automatically assume that anyone/everyone attending a college basketball game doesn't have any sense. That's how they campaign. It is what they believe, which is why they have such a hard time winning elections.

At the time, I thought, "those morons just made 9,000 people angry." They make it so easy to be a conservative.

They probably slinked back to a dorm room or a shabby apartment and felt like they struck a blow against "the establishment."

The fliers made great paper airplanes. Mine made it all the way to the jump circle after the game.

Blood for oil! I wonder how many of those freaks drove a car to the arena. Volvos, no doubt.

You asked: Now, what exactly do these people do for a living?

Judging by the ugly chick with the red hair, tie-dyed shirt and yellow teeth, it ain't testing toothpaste to see which brand works best...

192 Jack Reacher  Thu, Oct 5, 2006 5:17:43pm

Here in downtown LA the turnout appeared pathetic. Police everywhere around government buildings, including on horseback and in helicopters, but very few moonbats bothered to show up. Gridlock on the streets at 5 was due to...rush hour. On the ground at Flower and 3rd, I saw one discarded LLL protest sign. Was a lone moonbat waiting for the rest of his tribe? How sad.

193 Luke_Warmwater  Thu, Oct 5, 2006 5:18:27pm

Anyone notice the "movement is in my pants" poster in SF photo #4. Did a righty show up?

194 Mirage  Thu, Oct 5, 2006 5:18:49pm

This idea was floated on one of the threads, but it's a good one. Take the A's and B's these moonbats have and give them to the D and F students since it's not fair for them to flunk. It would only take a smack upside the head like that for any of them to really get it. I doubt all of them are D and F students, too, and would be up in arms if someone threatened their GPA.

195 maggieh01  Thu, Oct 5, 2006 5:25:54pm

I'm SOOO disappointed. I expected a lot more foaming at the mouth...

OT sort of

Just heard this story on the radio and just had to shake my head.

Sarah Yule was fired as a receptionist at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy, N.Y., earlier this year because she refused to remove her lip ring at work, which she said was integral to her religion, the Church of Body Modification. Yule insisted that her several piercings are spiritual, giving her control over her body, and she declined to accept an alternate job at St. Mary's, away from public contact.

Sort of on this topic, I'd be interested to know if a study has been done correlating one's major with one's political persuasion.

I mention this because when I was in school most moonbats oozed out of the liberal arts buildings, and seemed to have a great deal of spare time to screw off at stupid rallys like this one.

205 THX-42  Thu, Oct 5, 2006 5:52:10pm

You know, the term "socialist" is just no longer appropriate to describe the depth to which the left has fallen. Classical socialists (like the formerly classical liberals) had a relatively benign theoretical core.

A much more accurate term that I propose for the new generation of leftists is NeoComs. They are indeed the New Communists. Like the emergent progeny of the defeated communists of old. But more hostile, less interested in masking their intentions to take down the United States.

They're here. They must be destroyed.

They're just plain, old nihilists. Kind of a Ludditism as applied to society. Nothing really new.

208 Mars Needs Neocons  Thu, Oct 5, 2006 6:28:09pm

The idea of the liberal arts classes having the moonbats isn't far off, but I suspect some weren't moonbats before going there. When you are subjected to required courses in Sociology (Socialism 101 at least 2 weeks dedicated to Marx) and Cultural Anthropology (2 weeks dedicated to Margaret Sanger) With that kind of indoctrination it can be hard to resist unless you are a don't give a f**k conservative veteran a-hole like me.

209 Nancy  Thu, Oct 5, 2006 6:29:12pm

I was thinking of the irony of all the revolutionarist wanna-bes with their cardboard signs and posters protesting against "dictators."

Ummm--aren't they ones who don't have guns?

If we really DID have a Hitler in power, wouldn't it be all those red=state "morons" saving their sorry little a---s?

210 deadbackpacker  Thu, Oct 5, 2006 6:29:41pm

It always kills that these people think we live in a police state. If we lived in a police state do you think they would be allowed gather and protest? No they would be on the way to the gulag and death camps, but that really aint happening here is it?

There is a group in the peoples republic of ann arbor protesting at the post office with the same tired signs and slogans. I always have to remind them that if their signs were true we wouldn't be having this little talk. All I get is blank stares and plenty of F bombs, they are so pathetic!

Awesome. Rove, you magnificent bastard!

Sometimes I think they don't even comprehend the sacrifices that were made to remove Hitler.

The magnitude of WWII is humbling. Total loss of life was millions and millions.

Here is the US alone:

United States
16,112,566 were killed in action,
291,557 were MIA
670,846 wounded
6000 killed civilians.

One of my neighbors couldn’t wait either: today they had a large Soviet flag hanging on their porch rail

Show that rag around me and I'd get very, very angry. Like "knock on your neighbor's door and start a fight that possibly gets physical" angry. Start with the two million dead in Eastern Europe in 1946 as the Soviet army raped and pillaged its way through Poland and eastern Germany (yeah it was war, but that doesn't excuse genocide and mass rape), The imprisonment of millions more behind the iron curtain, the Gulags, the Purges... Anybody who holds up a Soviet flag as something to admire is asking for an ass-kicking. Is this the new trend now? First that dipshit at the Olympics with a CCCP jacket, now your neighbor? The Cold War didn't end all that long ago and already it's been co-opted by lefty trend whores. It makes me ill.

221 Gadfly  Thu, Oct 5, 2006 7:04:30pm

#216 Nancy,

Don't forget many of those were against Japan.

Leftists are defined by their shrill stupidity and inability to formulate common sense. For example you'll never see them carrying one sign decrying Stalin.

It also disgusts me that each such ludicrous comparison serves only to trivialize the horrors that name should be equated with. I await a moonbat sign that compares Hitler to Starbucks.

222 AZfederalist  Thu, Oct 5, 2006 7:06:57pm

Wow, I guess they really showed the world the power of their movement. Funny though, looking at the pictures from the press, they try to make the crowds look huge.

Thanks NoSubmission for your willingness to subject yourself to the silliness (and probably worse, the stench) of the moonbats to provide the pictures.

I've only been on-board here for a few weeks (after lurking for a few before registration opened), but I've really got to say it's like coming home. It's so nice to be in the company of like-minded (and really intelligent ;-) ) people.

It's clear to me that none of these people represent any serious political philosophy.
They are malcontent nihilists and immature resentment filled ingrates.

One lovely young lady is carrying a sign that says:" Viva Hugo Chavez an American Patriot."
Would any mature person who has studied history and human nature want to see a dictatorial meglomaniac like Chavez take the reigns of power. Cubans cheered Castro when he first took power. He consolidated that power and removed his opponents and still rules with an iron fist fifty years later.

How can you take seriously people who call Bush a dictator who then champion a real dictator like Chavez(watch him consolidate power and grow more Castro like as time passes.)

Sorry, but US deaths in WWII were a bit under 400,000.

Russia paid massively compared to the USA.

The bloodiest US war in absolute numbers was the civil war; even more as considered as percentge of population which was much smaller then.

Your figures are misaligned; I found the following:

Total servicemembers 16,112,566

Other deaths in service (nontheater) 113,842
Nonmortal woundings 671,846
Living veterans 4,762,000

227 Lady of Shalott (ylreveb)  Thu, Oct 5, 2006 8:11:30pm

At a quarter to 5, I counted about 300 of these losers milling pathetically around the north end of Union Square.

Half an hour later, I saw one of the gray ponytails [literally] on Bleecker Street, looking lost. He had a vest that was paved with LLL buttons, and was carrying a "World Can't Wait" poster in one hand.

"All by myself,
Don't wanna be
All by myself,
Any more! ! !"

228 Lady of Shalott (ylreveb)  Thu, Oct 5, 2006 8:17:52pm

I was having lunch with a friend, a reasonably intelligent person, but as Mark Twain observed in "Letters from the Earth," Humans seldom use their intellect in matters of religion . . . which is what Leftism is.

She said she thought the Pope should "just shut up -- he knew better than to set all those people off." Censorship, all right!

And tonight, talking with an elderly friend who lives downtown: he said he "saw all those CIA freaks going into the World Trade Center. I KNEW, before Sept. 11th, what was going to happen! I wrote a novel about it, but the cat knocked it into the trash."

Like, whatever.

229 Lady of Shalott (ylreveb)  Thu, Oct 5, 2006 8:28:38pm

You wanna know how lame the NYC protest was? it didn't even make the news on NY1 teevee. They always give the Leftists the warm wet tongue treatment. I reckon they were embarrassed at the low turnout.

230 MarineGrunt  Thu, Oct 5, 2006 9:11:13pm

Well well, what a surprise. Checking the LGF slideshow, I came across one moonbat buttwad that I know well, photo frame moonbats-034.jpg. The space cadet with the blue hooded sweatshirt with YALE and buttons in front.

This shitbird, bob mclane, is a former ex-marine Nam vet who got his ass kicked out of our veterans association for his behavior towards other members.
Funny thing is that he never attended Yale, but that fits nicely with his MO, like his achievements in Nam, Kerry ring a bell? he was in the reserves got activated, then went UA (same as Awol) was caught and sent to Nam in handcuffs.

He is from Louisiana, but stays in NYC now and then trying to sell his wares, as seen on the pole to his right.

What a jackoff this guy is

Napoleon, like Hitler, admired Islam.

Did he really though?

"How can you have order in a state without religion? For, when one man is dying of hunger near another who is ill of surfeit, he cannot resign himself to this difference unless there is an authority which declares 'God wills it thus.' Religion is excellent stuff for keeping common people quiet." - Napoloan

Any quotes praising Islam in itself can be taken with a grain of salt I imagine, like when our current politicians in the West keep calling it a "religion of peace."

Yeah, it fries me too.

Yesterday, when I saw the hammer and sickle unfurled, I was on my way home from an orientation at a law office and wearing my best dark blue suit and regimental tie. Since I was in full capitalist oppressor regalia, my immeadiate thought was to knock on their door and ask if they would contribute to the RNC. I thought better of it though. My township has strict codes regulating solicitation. So, being a law abiding productive citizen, I will just continue to keep my ammo cool and dry until physically threatened by these dimbulbs.
