ha ha that's funny.
But seriously, that sign is an embarrassment...our troops really could take some lessons on sign making from the Arab/Muslims.
I mean...what did it take them?... a full day to put something together?...the Arab/Muslims can do it in 1 hour...
& what is with the one color?...the Arab/Muslims can do it in multi colors just minutes after the event...
& its sooo sloppy...

Senator JFK will tell them how to get out of the country in four months or less by faking injuries to get purple heart.
If you make a campaign donation, he will tell you how to get a Silver Star by having the right contacts in DC and faking signatures.
Other than that, he is too busy governing and representing the entire state of Massachusetts.
God help us!

Serve those who serve - Operation Valour IT. It's good to see that the troops have a real sense of humor. Good on them.
Word definitely gets around about what Kerry has said about the troops, and you can be sure that the troops themselves are not liking it one bit.

Statistics show that Vietnam veterans are better educated than the average American. I’m sure the same goes for our valiant troops serving today.
It’s no longer relevant for Kerry to discredit the Grunts form long ago so he now shows his cowardly strips by maligning today’s Patriots.
If the Ivy League grads were left to defend this country, we’d all have Sharia shoved up our a**
Give the lefties a microphone all day long and let them prove themselves for whom they are.

See the MSM being all huffy: "Kerry apologized! What's your problem?"
George Allen apologized for and is still getting whacked with the mythic "macaca" (As in having a deep and completely made up history to go with it, geographical notes, cultural insights, including pseudo historical quotes from his mother).
from dictionaire Hachette juniors
caca: nom m. (fam dans le langue des jeunes enfants) Faire caca : faire ses besions (syn. excrements)
Kerry botched his apology. Do it again, the last one stinks like caca.

OT This says it all
Cleric: Criticizing Islam threatens peace By SELCAN HACAOGLU, Associated Press Writer
2 hours, 38 minutes ago
ANKARA, Turkey - A leading Turkish cleric called criticism of Islam a serious threat to world peace, speaking Wednesday as Turkey prepared for a controversial visit by Pope Benedict XVI later in the month.
Benedict visits Turkey — his first as pope to a predominantly Muslim country — two months after provoking widespread anger by quoting an emperor who characterized the Prophet Muhammad's teachings as "evil and inhuman."
Ali Bardakoglu, head of the country's religious affairs, said "it was saddening" to see Islam being criticized while the religion's contribution to civilization is ignored.

Koskidz attempt the moral equivalence defense...
Soldiers Uneducated?
As a proud Veteran I'll tell you, I've met the most uneducated dimwits imaginable in the Military. Second only to the uneducated dimwits I've met in Civilian life; but I'll say something for the Military dimwits, at least they're trained. But that's not the point.
I've also met some of the most erudite and knowledgeable in both arenas. But that's not the point.
The point is Kerry said something true; and it exposes the core of the true Bush doctrine: There are the rich and powerful and there are the poor and powerless. The Rich and Powerful make decisions, the Poor and Powerless bleed for it.
It's that fucking simple. And in order to avoid facing that publicly the Rove spin machine has revved its "PHONY OUTRAGE" mode into high gear. I am so goddamned sick of Rethuglican phony outrage...I'm looking at you Lynn Cheney...and the best way to counter it is to shout louder with the Truth.
...
It's more insulting to wage anti-intellectual culture wars for decades, then feign outrage for manufactured insults to "education", Republicans.
Our service men really are stupid. But that's ok because all Americans are stupid (except the liberals of course).

Sen. John Kerry's Words: Intention Vs. Reality
Remarks Made Are the Subject of Controversey Days Out From Mid Term Election
Nov. 1, 2006 — What did John Kerry intend to say vs. what did he actually say during a speech for California candidate Phil Angelides—ABC News has presented the actual statements below, you be the judge:
You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."
Kerry's office has released the following as what they claim are the actually lines prepared for the delivery of the Angelides speech:
"It's great to be here with college students. I can't overstress the importance of a great education. Do you know where you end up if you don't study, if you aren't smart, if you're intellectually lazy? You end up getting us stuck in a war in Iraq. Just ask President Bush."

Democrat operative/AP hack Jennifer Loven checks in again.
Sen.
John Kerry apologized for "a botched joke" about
President Bush's
Iraq policies that led Bush and fellow Republicans to accuse him of insulting U.S. troops. Some Democrats in close races assailed Kerry, while others called the flap a ploy by the GOP to alter its fortunes in next week's midterm elections."Of course I'm sorry about a botched joke. You think I love botched jokes?" Kerry said during an appearance on Don Imus' nationally syndicated radio program. "I mean, you know, it's pretty stupid."
Kerry, D-Mass., said he meant no offense to troops when he told a college audience Monday that young people might get "stuck in Iraq" if they don't make it through the educational system.
On Wednesday, he said, "You cannot get into the military today if you do badly in school." But he also said the White House was purposely twisting his words and asserted that it is Bush who owes troops an apology for a misguided war in Iraq.
"I'm sorry that that's happened," he said of his earlier comment. "But I'm not going to stand back from the reality here, which is, they're trying to change the subject. It's their campaign of smear and fear."
Just keep digging, asshole.

Brilliant!
I was just watching the Tony Snow press conference on Fox News and the press was hammering him over and over to just give Kerry a pass. He must have repeated at least 10 times that the whole thing would be over if Kerry would just issue a real apology, but the press just didn't get it. As far as they were concerned the GOP was being mean by not accepting Kerry's non-apology about botching a "joke".

BTW, it seems a couple of officers were involved in this. One looks to be a Major!?
Hooaah!
I think flippers's handler (Ted E Drunkard, err, Kennedy) must have been drunk and out of it. How else would flipper get his muzzle off and run his mouth with out the approval of Ted? Now that Ted has been woke up, he put flippers muzzle back on and is shoving him back in the closet. All engagements cancelled. To bad they wont make that status permanent.

Police said the house in Tremellen Street, Accrington, had been locked up from the inside and flammable materials used. A murder inquiry is under way.
The girls' father, Mohammed Riaz, is in a critical condition in hospital.
Mr Gradwell said: "The house was secured and locked from the inside.
"Early indications are that whoever set the fire, and carried out some other suspicious activity I can't go into at this stage, did not leave the premises.

The People of Mass. should see what happens when you vote for someone. They voted him in on numerous occasions (iirc) & should be made to think twice before they do it again.
Truthfully, I think this is completely a Mass prob & not an "American" prob. We need to go back to a Gov where the Congresspeople actually work for their States & not the ENTIRE country.

France arrests 5 minors in firebombing By MARC LERAS, Associated Press Writer
Tue Oct 31, 12:53 PM ET
MARSEILLE, France - Police arrested five teenagers Tuesday on suspicion of links to the weekend firebombing of a city bus that left a young woman severely burned.
Meanwhile, the agency that oversees police conduct ordered an investigation into the injury of a 16-year-old during a Saturday night clash with police in the troubled Paris-area community of Clichy-sous-Bois, police said Tuesday. The young man was hospitalized with an eye injury, allegedly caused by a flashball, a hard rubber ball, fired by police.

"Speed Racer" hits live-action high gear By Borys Kit
Wed Nov 1, 2:50 AM ET
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - After years of idling, the big-screen, live-action version of "Speed Racer" is ready to zoom, this time with the creators of "The Matrix" at the wheel.
Brothers Larry and Andy Wachowski are writing and will direct the Warner Bros. movie, their first directorial outing since completing the "Matrix" trilogy in 2003.
Based on the classic 1960s series created by anime pioneer Tatsuo Yoshida that later was retooled for North American audiences, the big-screen "Speed" will follow the adventures of the young race car driver Speed in his quest for glory in his thundering gadget-laden vehicle, Mach 5. The movie will feature other characters from the show, including Speed's family and his mysterious archrival, Racer X.

My statements are really more of a comment on how our Gov system is all out of whack & how Congresspeople are really just minor presidents now instead of State Reps. They all think that they are running the entire country. This is dumb. If the system ran the way it was supposed to...it wouldn't matter what SKerry says about this or that, as he would be representing his constituents or he would be voted out. John Kerry Supports Our Stupid TroopsFor weeks, Democrats have feared that he’d make another untimely yet utterly predictible appearance, emerging from his cave to energize Republican voters and remind Americans who the enemy is. Yesterday, our worst nightmares came true in a fashion reminiscent of Jingus Khan.
“You know education,” Sen. John Kerry warned students at Pasadena City College, “if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. And if you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."
In the blink of his stately eye, Kerry’s words were picked up by the digital pajama brigade and repeated ad nauseum by their stooges in the right-wing media, angering military families and veterans groups who are apparently too stupid to comprehend the subtle nuances of his brilliant oratory.
Thrice wounded on the battlefields of Vietnam, Sen. John Kerry would never dream of insulting the intelligence of our babykilling, genital-shocking, cattle razing, women-and-children-terrorizing troops. If they had any brains, they’d know that. Rather, he was simply mocking and ridiculing their Commander-in-Chief in a time of war. As someone who never obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree or played for the Yale Lacrosse team, Bush is completely incapable of leading troops into battle. The miserable quagmire that the illegal and immoral war has become is proof of that.
Conservative chickenhawks can call Kerry "unpatriotic" and whine about damage to morale until their faces turn bluer than a dead Gitmo detainee, but if our troops can take that sort of good-natured ribbing from Osama Bin Laden, they can certainly take it from John Kerry.
I just hope they're smart enough to remember that come voting time.

Just got this in my inbox, from MEMRI:
Muslim American Journalist Aslam Abdullah: Millions of Proud American Muslims Oppose Al-Qaeda
A sighting of the elusive moderate muslim, or just taqiyyah?
"The leader of Al-Qaeda in Iraq, Abu Hamza al-Muhajer, recently issued a decree to its supporters: Kill at least one American in the next two weeks 'using a sniper rifle, explosive or whatever the battle may require.'
"Well, Abu Hamza al-Muhajer, I am an American too. Count me as the one of those you have asked your supporters to kill.
"I am not alone, there are thousands of Muslims with me in Las Vegas, and many more millions in America, who are proud Americans and who are ready to face your challenge. You hide in your caves and behind the faces of civilians in Afghanistan and Iraq. You don't show your faces and you have no guts to face Muslims. You thrive on the misery of thousands of Muslim youth and children who are victims of despotism, poverty and ignorance...

A federal judge Media Group Wins Exit Poll Injunction
By RYAN NAKASHIMA
Associated Press Writer
LAS VEGAS — A federal judge on Tuesday barred enforcement of a law that prohibited exit poll workers from coming within 100 feet of polling places in Nevada, ruling that such surveys do not infringe on the rights of voters.
Judge Philip Pro's decision in favor of The Associated Press and five television networks was the 10th to side with news organizations since challenges to such laws began in the early '90s, an attorney said. Last week, a federal judge in Florida struck down similar 100-foot barrier rule, and an Ohio judge overruled a similar law in that state last month.

They can't even see that going after Kerry because he denigrated the troops is an issue...Heck, some Democrat operatives and candidates are coming to that realization.

Anyone still planning on sitting out this election?
/I didn't think so
I started rallying the troops (so to speak) here a few weeks back reminding everyone to get out and vote regardless of how they felt about the current state of affairs, having sensed defeatist attitudes creeping in as a result of the media effort to suppress the vote.
What I believe we will see now is record GOP turnout for an off-year election.
How crazy will the LLL's get when they realize they've been outsmarted by us again?
We will defeat them with half our brains tied behind our backs, just to make it fair.
I still see some desperate tactics to come in the next several days, but this Johnny Nuance kerfuffle will just drown it out. Even if he slithers out today and try another lame apology and the media tell us to move on, we can give them a big FU and keep pounding the jackoff.
People like McCain and others can say they accept his "apology", but that doesn't mean I have to.
Lerch will be so disfigured by the time we get through with him, they'll need dental records to identify the corpse.

wargammer,
FWIW, as others have noted, in some areas people are registered as Democrats so they can vote in primaries in heavily populated Democrat enclaves, such as NYC.
My mother, who lives in Manhattan, has always been registered as a Democrat but hasn't voted for one since John Kennedy (my father was a Kennedy delegate in 1960). My dad wisened up after the Carter fiasco and voted for Reagan in 1980, which was his final vote before he passed away.
I registered as a Republican as soon as I was eligible to vote in the early 80's.

Great Pix! It's saved.

Now here is the real news!
DEMS PLAN TO REINSTATE THE DRAFT. KERRY OFFERS PROOF!
See the real problem is Kerry used code talk and tripped up by telling the students the real plan in the Dem playbook: that he, Charlie and others, were going to reinstate the draft, right after the election. That's what he really was hinting at when he said, (and I paraphase) that if the kids didn't keep their grades up they might not get the deferrment needed to keep 'em in school. No deferrment means they would be subject to being drafted. So, they better make sure they vote early and often to insure the Dems get back in, and study hard, so they won't be like the 'little people'.

Wargammer:
Ok let's say that there are a bunch of people who agree with sKerry... (ie: those that voted for him)
So what? What can we do about it & what does badgering sKerry from AZ do about it?
I think this comes down to nothing but party politics (something I despise). The Repubs want to show that the Dems are Evil & the only party for anyone is the Repubs because of that. The problem though is...(1) Destroying the Dems doesn't better the U.S. & (2) Showing the Dems are bad doesn't mean that the Repubs are going to improve themselves any.
Personally, I'd like to worry about my individual officials, what they are personally doing, and how it affects ME...irrelevant of what "party" they belong to, what/who some dork from across the country who happens to be in the same "party" does.
Party politics leaves the individual off the hook & doesn't encourage personal responsibility. It usually comes down to: "I'm voting Republican/Dem (knowing nothing about what they do, or think, or have done) because that Dem over there is a jerk".

Find out what the residency requirements are to be eligible to vote in MA and then move or take up temporary residence just long enough to meet the requirements and vote against him and Kennedy. (CNSNews.com) - Sen. John Kerry, whose "botched joke" on education and the war in Iraq has sparked a national controversy, approached the families of fallen soldiers at their sons' funerals to seek their help in undermining the war on terror during his 2004 presidential campaign, according to the authors of a new book.
Catherine Moy and Melanie Morgan, authors of "American Mourning" - which examines how the death of two U.S. soldiers in Iraq affected their families - told Cybercast News Service that they consider the Massachusetts Democrat's treatment of American troops "disgusting."

Not a prayer in hell of that. Kerry is far and away much too self centered to give much of a rat's behind even about members of his own party except in terms of chalking up favors owed. No way he would commit political hari kari to get a few Congressional seats that he will never "rule."

Marvelous Idea.
But I dont' see it that way.
Mass wants this idiot & they have the right to elect any idiot they want. This idiot represents the majority of people in Mass & thus he should act in a manner representing the majority. Being that they continue to elect him, he must represent them. So in that way the system works.
His & all "representatives" ability to affect things outside of their state should be limited though. I in CA didn't vote for him so I shouldn't have to deal with the effects of his big mouth. (We've got our own idiots to deal with).
Representatives shouldn't be running their mouths off in States that dont' vote for them, etc. WTF is a rep who is not voting for National office doing speaking to kids in CA? He should spend more time representing the people of Mass.
POLITICS SHOULD BE LOCAL...as they are the ones rep'd by them & the ones that can/have to vote for them. He isn't rep'ing Mass speaking to kids in CA.
The loyalties are all messed up. The way the system works now...the Rep's are stumping for thier Parties all the time...not for their State that elected them.

Defense officials warn Israel faltering as Gaza quickly arms for war

JERUSALEM – Hamas could establish in the Gaza Strip a military division of nearly 10,000 troops with an operational force similar to Hezbollah in Lebanon if the terror group continues to strengthen at its current pace, according to information released yesterday by the Israeli Defense Forces.
A senior military leader here told WND the IDF, concerned about the massive amount of weaponry recently smuggled into the Gaza Strip and the regular firing of rockets at nearby Jewish communities, presented battle plans last week for approval by Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert for a large-scale Gaza offensive.
The leader said Olmert and his security cabinet only approved a series of isolated operations, which do not differ from current actions in Gaza. He said Olmert has been restraining the IDF from carrying out what the army believes are operations "crucial" for Israel's security.

(who is most likely dead) They are insulting the brains of all our troops with that comment. Not just the ones in Iraq. Rumsfield did not pass down on order saying "send all the stoopid ones to Iraq. Entirely agree. We have the toughest fight in this country's history ahead of us, I think, with radical Islam. We are in it right now in Iraq -- battling against a thousand years of Arab tribalism, corruption, brutality and death-cult ideology.
I don't think an Egypt-like solution is what we wanted and envisioned, but that may be the right solution for the time being. On the other hand, everything the Dems recommend spells a major defeat. Politics these days is a life and death matter. No exaggeration.

I will deconstruct this idiot screed:
Ok let's say that there are a bunch of people who agree with sKerry... (ie: those that voted for him)
So what? What can we do about it & what does badgering sKerry from AZ do about it?
I think this comes down to nothing but party politics (something I despise).
Translation ( I hate it when the Repubs get the upper hand)
The Repubs want to show that the Dems are Evil & the only party for anyone is the Repubs because of that. The problem though is...(1) Destroying the Dems doesn't better the U.S. &
There are bad men in both parties, but by and large, the secular humanists, godless, the amoral and the America-haters will gather to the Dem party. And destroying that party WOULD be good for America and the world.
(2) Showing the Dems are bad doesn't mean that the Repubs are going to improve themselves any.
Hey that stopped clock thing is working for you here.
Personally, I'd like to worry about my individual officials, what they are personally doing, and how it affects ME...irrelevant of what "party" they belong to, what/who some dork from across the country who happens to be in the same "party" does.
ME is the operative word here, thanks for emphasizing it.
Party politics leaves the individual off the hook & doesn't encourage personal responsibility. It usually comes down to: "I'm voting Republican/Dem (knowing nothing about what they do, or think, or have done) because that Dem over there is a jerk".
Usually, in my experience that DEM over their is a jerk, hates me a white guy, wants to tax me out of existence, and kill God in the public marketplace

From Taxfreekillers link -
An Open Letter To Hanoi John Kerry
Dear Senator Kerry;
On your website [Link: www.johnkerry.com...] you closed your recent attack on the Administration with “Bottom line, these Republicans want to debate straw men because they’re afraid to debate real men. And this time it won’t work because we’re going to stay in their face with the truth and deny them even a sliver of light for their distortions. No Democrat will be bullied by an administration that has a cut and run policy in Afghanistan and a stand still and lose strategy in Iraq.”
Further, you wrote: “It disgusts me that these Republican hacks, who have never worn the uniform of our country lie and distort so blatantly and carelessly about those who have.”
Mr. Senator; I wore the uniform of our country in Vietnam, as well as the Green Beret that I earned, and I am a Republican hack, and will gladly debate you anywhere, anytime, anyplace. To me, you are a despicable, liar, coward, and traitor. You asked one person in the audience during the 2004 Presidential race if he was questioning your patriotism. I am. You are all about “Me,” and have never been about “We.”
How dare you write: “afraid to debate real men.” You have no clue what it is like to be a real man. You are simply a Gigolo in a Brooks Brothers suit, who dated the Hollywood elite until you finally landed a cash cow. You’re a male whore, Senator, and every move you have made since you were a naval reserve officer (who consorted with the enemy during war in 1972 in Paris ) has been on the backs and lives of others. The doctor who, using tweezers, removed the tiny steel sliver from your skin for one of your Purple Hearts, compared the wound to being less severe than “the *** of a rose thorn.” And where did the shrapnel come from, Kerry? You shooting your own M79 grenade round too close at some rocks and getting a blow-back. You got another for embedding rice in your ass with your own grenade blowing up a pile of rice. By your standards, I qualified for 2 dozen Purple Hearts in Vietnam , but my sense of self-worth as a “real man” would never let me consider denigrating the medal in such a manner. As chairman of the host committee of the Senate, you killed HR1633, the Vietnam Human Rights Act which had passed in the House with over 100 votes and only 1 dissenting vote. While you let this bill die in committee, more innocent Montagnards, Cham, and some Buddhists sects in Vietnam were tortured, executed, and falsely accused and imprisoned in Vietnam, while your assets in your blind trusts continued to make more money for you in Hanoi. You know, Senator, like that 1 billion dollar deep sea port deal your first cousin C. Stewart Forbes made with Hanoi back in 1992, while you quashed 42,000 pieces of evidence about American MIA/POW’s as Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on MIA/POW Affairs, which I testified for. Tell, me Senator, wasn’t that same cousin also the Administrator of your blind trusts? I had friends, Senator, who were POW’s who were tortured listening to your anti-war rhetoric, all so you could gain political office some day.

When the World Trade Center fell, Palestinian's rose to their feet and cheered.
As American's die in Iraq fighting to give freedom in a region of the world that has never known freedom, Palestinians cheer American dead.
But America still pushes for a Palestinian State and even arms and trains the Palestinians in the face of evidence that they have in the past used the training and weapons given by America to terrorist and they have been used to kill Israeli's.
America gave the Palestinians sniper training and the most powerful sniper rifle in the world which can shoot through armored vehicles, as soon as the training was over the Palestinians were shooting through Jewish apartments in Jerusalem.
America wake up Palestinians are today's Nazi's and only deserve to go the way of the Third Reich.

Swiftboat Part II
When the Swift Boat Veterans and POW’s for the Truth publicly-exposed your phony lying sorry ass, how did you respond? Even though you are the wealthiest member of Congress (Thanks Terreza), you started a publicly-funded legal fund, so you could file suit against a Congressional Medal of Honor recipient, and a large group of noble, decorated Vietnam veterans. Your brothers in arms, right? You called our soldiers in Iraq “terrorists” and one of them was my son? You labeled my fellow Vietnam veterans and me as loose cannons and the misfits of American society with your words and antics, as a self-created war hero turned pacifist, all for political expedience, yours. We unfairly suffered for decades while you selfishly grew your career, fertilizing it with the blood of real heroes, Senator.
You’re a real piece of work, John Kerry. And you want to be my President? Commander in chief of my offspring? I will debate you, argue with you face-to-face, or you can simply file suit against me, too. Please do. I would love to get you on the stand.
By the way, one last question, back during the good old Jimmy Carter amnesty for draft dodger days, wasn’t Senator John Warner Secretary of the Navy? You know, someone who might sign a newer, nicer more politically-correct discharge instead of an undesirable discharge. Now let’s fast forward to 2004. If you were the Democratic candidate for President, why was Senator Warner, a longtime Republican on your short list for your Secretary of Defense? Sure helped him develop amnesia about signing discharges, didn’t it?
Anytime, anywhere, Senator.

Santorum vs Casey.
PA is basicly red state besides Pittsburgh and Philly. Both liberal welfare states.
Casey is running on his dads name. His dad was a PA gov and was a conservative dem from the coal region. So he is pulling in those votes from Reagan Dems.
The national press has demonized Santorum.
If Caseys last name was Smith this would be a totaly different race.

I was saying earlier that even if we give Kerry the most generous reading, that it was a fouled up joke, his original comment does nevertheless contain an idea that is very insulting to the troops:
It supposes that the troops do not go to Iraq voluntarily but out of ignorance, that they they do not understand exactly why it is tough to win over tribal, Arab Muslims, but nevertheless choose to go and fight radical Islam anyway.
If you will recall, this insulting attitude to our military in Iraq is, moreover, an obvious trend with John Kerry.

OK Kerry said all of that. We have been justifiably hitting the guy. I thnk we must not lose our focus on the elections, that it is the way most DEMOCRATS feel. Hopefully our candidates emphisise, this is the Democrat way of thinking, not just Kerry. Hope Kerry withing so many days himself don't take up the energy we are generating, but the issue of how the Dems feel about the military. Fun for now, but work has to be done.

Jehu:
ok 1st: calling me an "idiot" was mature.
2nd: I am not a Dem by any means...so actually I prefer it when REPUBS get the upper hand! But that doesn't proove the essence my opinions to be incorrect. I still belive that Party bickering is lame. Parties representing blocks of ideas are ok...but this constant sniping back & forth about "oh they are the bad guys..no you are the bad guys..no you are an idiot...no YOU are the idiot" is useless & counterproductive. I'd like to see a "I so-&-so believe in such-&-such" once in a while instead of the usual "that other party guy is an idiot...vote for me"
3rd: I think sKerry & most Libs are dangerous fools & agree with you 100% that by-and-large the Dems are "Worse"...but I'm still not sure how that is a good thing. Bad behavior is bad behavior.
4th: Yes when I vote I worry about ME. I'm not shy about that. But the LARGER point I am trying to make is that the system is all goofed up. My statements have less to do with sKerry & more to do with the points you left out (ie: why is a guy from Mass coming to speak to kids in CA..CA people don't vote for him...he should worry about Mass & let the CA idiot Reps worry about who we vote in as Gov)

A) He did want to be President ya know that whole Commander in Chief thang
B) He does represent the majority opinion of the "mainstream" Democrat

This is the way politics is played and HAS been played in America since its founding. Every election cycle I hear the pissing about the lack of the pristine nature of it all, mostly from moderate types.
The Dems have no problems giving cigarettes to bums to vote, enrolling the dead, making sure illegals get a chance to vote, trumping up fake Foley sex misconduct crap. And you come along and suddenly complain NOW about how crappy it is? Forgive me if I don't buy your complaints.
It takes two parties to engage in adult debate. The GOP, more or less is willing. The DEMS have not since JFK. The country is NOT overwhelmingly liberal, it is conservative. Even owning the media, schools, judges they cannot win. So they have resorted for decades to class warfare and character assasination. Too bad the worm turns.

Do any of you fitness buffs know of any exercises that strengthen the same muscles as doing pull-ups that don't require a pull-up bar?
A little exercise sometimes called a Reverse Push up works the triceps and biceps that are utilized in pull ups. Basically it is simply a push up done with the heels on the ground and face up. Simply start from a sitting position and extend your arms to raise your body off the floor. Do not allow your butt to touch the ground while performing the repitions.

I say: Who cares who Foley writes E-mails to, & who cares what Skerry says.
Our Political Process has gone the way of "Gossip Columns". It isn't "I don't vote for X because X voted to give 100,000 to the "palestinians"" but "I didn't vote for X because he is a Republican & Y Republican doesn't like gays".
I'd like to know how MY representatives are voting (not who they talk to in their free time or who they are sleeping with) & from that information would I make the right decision. (which would most likely be for a Conservative)
But HEY JEHU...if we disagree we disagree...that is fine.

Santorum's going to lose because his positions on "bedroom issues" are far to the right of most people in Pennsylvania. If he hadn't been so vocal about social conservatism he'd be up by 10-20 percent.
I respect him for feeling strongly about morality. I'm just not so happy that his political grandstanding is going to give us an empty shirt like Casey.
An awful lot of adults think Santorum (and Brownback in KS) are nagging moralists. It does damage their political futures. Casey won't nag anybody...of course he won't offend anybody at all...and that includes shysters and shake down artists like Jesse Jackson, and enemies like CAIR.

No, and no.
He has some very distant relatives in France and a $4.916 million mansion in Ketchum. (Sun Valley)
And a:
40 acres of fluff in Fox Chapel, Pennsylvania (Assessed value: $3.7 million)
A nice little place in D.C. - Georgetown area (assessment: $4.7 million)
A beach house in Nantucket, Massachusetts waterfront retreat on Brant Point (Assessed value: $9.18 million)
And a little place on Beacon Hill Boston, - home (Assessed value: $6.9)
So he knows all about having to make dificult choices when you're without the funds to pay for Yale.

But I am going to vote straight Republican on the whole ballot now.
Our national security is more important right now than anything happening locally in this nation.
I want to send a message to anyone in public office: DO NOT insult our troops.
So there is one vote that just changed.

Cleric: Criticizing Islam threatens peace By SELCAN HACAOGLU, Associated Press Writer
Wed Nov 1, 10:27 AM ET
"This attitude, which fuels division and lack of mutual trust, is seriously threatening world peace," Bardakoglu told a conference in Istanbul attended by several African Muslim leaders.

How very convenient for the administration that the press is concentrating on irrelevancies when a story like this breaks, eh?
The Maliki government is playing Bush for the cowardly loser he is, apparently threatening him with more bad headlines, so the Americans backed off and left a soldier behind.
But look no further, citizens. John Kerry blew a punchline and that requires a full-on media frenzy. Nothing is more fun and exciting to the kewl kidz than going after a simple meaningless anti-Democrat story that pleases the GOP establishment. Everybody wins. Except the American people, of course. Or that abandoned soldier in Iraq.

I respect him for feeling strongly about morality. I'm just not so happy that his political grandstanding is going to give us an empty shirt like Casey.
I'm not in America, so I can't see all of Santorum's appearances on Fox and his other comments. However, when I think about the meaning of "grandstanding," namely that certain positions are taken in a particularly ostentatious manner to impress an audience, this strikes me as untrue about Rick Santorum. It's moreover a decidedly negative characterization, suggesting that his firm stance on social issues were not made out of the spirit of moral conscience but of political vanity.
I try to read everything I can from Santorum and I hear him standing in a dignified way by his orthodox moral views. I don't hear him shoving his strong moral views and orthodox religions views upon his audiences. This would also not seem to make sense since, as you say, PA is not a particularly orthodox state on moral issues.

a BBC drama portrayed evangelical extremists murdering Muslims.
Not surprising. In reality, Muslims murder Christians by the hundreds every year, and in return evangelicals take food, run hospitals, bring clothing, and such in Muslim areas.
But by all means, show it the other way, for balance, you know.
Besides, the BBC is pretty sure none of their executives will end up beheaded for insulting Christians.

John Kerry...just another reminder why the Left cannot be in charge of our national security. They have no respect for those who actually SECURE it. Dad guilty in first female circumcision trial in U.S.
LAWRENCEVILLE, Georgia (AP) -- A jury found an Ethiopian immigrant guilty Wednesday of mutilating his 2-year-old daughter in what is believed to be the first criminal case in the United States involving the ancient African tradition of female circumcision.
Khalid Adem, 30, was convicted of aggravated battery and cruelty to children. He could get up to 40 years in prison.
Prosecutors said Adem used scissors to remove his daughter's clitoris in his family's Atlanta-area apartment in 2001. The child's mother, Fortunate Adem, said she did not discover it until more than a year later.
During her father's trial, the girl, now 7, clutched a teddy bear as she testified on videotape that her father "cut me on my private part."

Even so, this one has Freudian slip written all over it, because this sounds like the typical lib view of the military. Do any of you fitness buffs know of any exercises that strengthen the same muscles as doing pull-ups that don't require a pull-up bar?
Pull-ups use the biceps & the latissimus dorsi (the big triangular shaped muscles on your back that pull your arms down). You can do arm curls to work the biceps, while the reverse pushup works the lats. Also good for lats are "chair dips": sit in a sturdy arm chair, put your hands on the arms and lift yourself up & then slowly lower yourself down again. To increase the load, put your feet up on your desk while lifting.

Yo, fence-sitting Pennsylvanians:
Zell [Miller] resurfaces
He's been surprisingly absent amid the mudslinging leading up to Tuesday's midterm elections, but outspoken former Georgia Democratic Sen. Zell Miller has now surfaced in support of Republican Sen. Rick Santorum, who is waging an uphill battle in his bid for a third term in his Pennsylvania seat.
Mr. Miller this week kicked off "Democrats for Santorum," a statewide coalition of Democrats who, oddly enough in this given election year, desire to keep a Republican in office.
"I am not involved in any other race in the country," Mr. Miller said [too bad--ed.]. "I am only doing this for Rick Santorum.

What do you think that soldiers fate would be with the Dems in charge - oh, I just figured it out - if the Dems were in charge there wouldn't be any soldiers at all to worry about.
We could spend our time worrying about more important things like how to keep our heads attached to our bodies.
It is a big important story. The soldiers that made that banner think it is. It is not irrelevent to THEM.

My goodness. It would have been hard to get more usage errors into that screed. Also, you're going all emotional and getting into non sequitur territory. Not to mention that your information is incorrect - Ahmed Qusai al-Taei, who has managed to squeeze himself in between a rock (no pun intended) and a hard place, has not been "abandoned."
The U.S. forces would not have left Sadr City unless they were convinced al-Taei is not there, and they have apparently been given such assurances. At this point, a great deal of behind-the-scenes negotiation is likely going on as al-Sadr almost certainly knows the captured soldier's whereabouts. The U.S. deployment around Sadr City might have been a move intended to pressure these negotiations to move forward. Al-Maliki's request for withdrawal also could have been a political ploy on Sadr's behalf, or it could have been a show of good faith on the part of the United States.

The Newsweek cover story in the Oct. 30th edition:
(featuring TN Democratic Senate candidate Harold Ford, Jr. on the cover)
Freeper MikeA spoke for me when he commented:
And newsflash Newsweek, you're damned right they're not our daddy's Democrats. Our daddy's Democrats were moderate, reasonable, understood the importance of low taxes, at least until the 1960s understood the importance of standing united against a common foreign foe and most of all patriotic. This diseased rabble at the head of today's Democratic party are the most extreme left wing radicals this nation has ever seen, a bunch of craven seditionists who have worked over time to divide the nation in a time of war and to embolden our enemies.

I do not agree with Funky Chicken at all.
They picked Casey for one reason.
His name.
They have the Philly vote and the burg vote. The dems push that the Repubs will take away their welfare/social security/any other government handout the people are getting. They get the union vote even if the people are more conservative. This is why Murtha has not been sacked. Those Johnstown voters vote Dem from birth. Bob Casey was Gov from 87 to 95. He REFUSED to endorse Bill Clinton. He is a Catholic and the DNC refused to let him speak at the convention in 1992 because of his anti-abortion views. JR is running on his dads name. Casey has pretty much said nothing about everything to avoid loosing votes.
Its kinda like why NASCAR driver Dale Jr has so many fans. Daddy died and they went with the kid. If his hame was Goobervitz he would not have many fans. And if Casey was named anything but Casey this race would be Santorum vs who? Never heard of him.

The Maliki government is playing Bush for the cowardly loser he is, apparently threatening him with more bad headlines, so the Americans backed off and left a soldier behind.
It would not be possible to threaten Western leaders with bad headlines if the Left didn't have the power to make bad headlines a factor that forces those leaders' policies. A process which, you ought to know, started in the Vietnam war, with none other than Kerry being one of the major players in it.

OLD VERSION:
The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter. The grasshopper thinks he's a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away. Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed. The grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he dies out in the cold.
MORAL OF THE STORY: Be Responsible
MODERN VERSION:
The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter. The grasshopper thinks he's a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away. Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while others are cold and starving.
CBS, NBC, ABC & CNN show up to provide pictures of the shivering grasshopper next to a video of the ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food. America is stunned by the sharp contrast. How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so?
Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah with the grasshopper, and everybody cries when they sing, "It's Not Easy Being Green."
Jesse Jackson stages a demonstration in front of the ant's house where the news stations film the group singing, "We shall overcome." Jesse then has the group kneel down to pray to God for the grasshopper's sake.
Ted Kennedy & John Kerry exclaim in an interview with Dan Rather that the ant has gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper, and both call for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his "fair share.
Finally, the EEOC drafts the "Economic Equity and Anti-Grasshopper Act," retroactive to the beginning of the summer. The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the government.
Hillary gets her old law firm to represent the grasshopper in a defamation suit against the ant, and the case is tried before a panel of federal judges that Bill appointed from a list of single-parent welfare recipients. The ant loses.
The story ends as we see the grasshopper finishing up the last bits of the ant's food while the government house he is in, which just happens to be the ant's old house,
crumbles around him because he doesn't maintain it.
The ant has disappeared in the snow.
The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident and the house, now abandoned, is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the once peaceful neighborhood.
MORAL OF THE STORY: Vote Republican

what hillary said
Asked if Kerry should apologize, President Bush and other members of both parties have said, Clinton said “I heard he said he was sorry.”
Clinton tried to deflect attention from the controversy by saying “elections are about the future,” and “we don’t have to be re-fighting the 2004 election, as much as President Bush would like that
Who won that election?

Our historians have no problem with Muslim denial of Jewish history of Temple Mount. However, Jerusalem (el-kadish; the holy) is not mentioned in the unholy koran. Nor does the Hadith link the so-called "farthest mosque" (al-Aqsa) to Temple Mount.
Reminder: NATO troops have been protecting Kosovo Muslims who have destroyed or desecrated 1300 Orthodox Cathedrals in Kosovo Province. The majority, (in my considered opinion), of the people who post on this board are either active duty, retired, or related to same.
Bless them and thank you for your brave service.
With just a handful of stupid, ill-informed, and poorly written posts, you've managed to insult every single one of those LGF regulars.
Maybe they should stop backing a bunch of profiteering war criminals who put their sons and daughters in harms way based on outright lies..The Bush administration is offending them way more than I ever could with may "poorly written posts".
And you managed to pull that off without bringing a single useful fact to the discussion.
See above RE. Vets who gave very poor ratings to your republican Congress members.
Also:
"The Maliki government is playing Bush for the cowardly loser he is, apparently threatening him with more bad headlines, so the Americans backed off and left a soldier behind.
Or that abandoned soldier in Iraq." -Digby

Biggest Surprise - Iraqi Police. All local guys. I never figured that we'd get a police force established in the cities in al-Anbar. I estimated that insurgents would kill the first few, scaring off the rest. Well, insurgents did kill the first few, but the cops kept on coming The insurgents continue to target the police, killing them in their homes and on the streets, but the cops won't give up. Absolutely incredible tenacity. The insurgents know that the police are far better at finding them than we are. - and they are finding them. Now, if we could just get them out of the habit of beating prisoners to a pulp . . .

Correct. Did you see this?
Ottoman Empire Reasserting Itself in Kosovo
By Julia Gorin
The province’s parliament has just approved Turkish as an official language, to join Albanian and Serbo-Croatian (the last one just a formality until the last of the Serbs are kicked out). Turkish had been declared official in Kosovo before, in 1974, but the UN ended that in 1999.
Apparently, the 15,000 ethnic Turks of Kosovo “have had a long-standing desire for their language to be used in official documents.”
This could be fun. To see the Ottomans — the last to hold caliphal authority — duke it out with the Saudi Wahabbists, who want to claim caliphal authority and have been funding the Islamization of Kosovo and Bosnia. Also could be fun to see Kosovo’s Turks give the Albanians a taste of their own medicine as the Turks grow in number and eventually establish their own exclusive hospitals, schools and government offices and the non-Turks become second-class citizens (not to mention target practice), soon giving way to the Turks declaring Kosovo theirs — just as the Albanians did to the Serbs.
As a source in the area reported to me, the latest news from Serbian TV is that in Sandzak there has begun Taliban-style forced female circumcision of wives. This is in Europe, kids.
As Bill Clinton explained, we entered this conflict “to defend our way of life.”
Feminist Susan Sontag agreed: “There is such a thing as a just war.”
America gets a real pat on the back for this one! Bush still has a chance to clean up even this Clinton defecation and turn it around by siding with the last remnant of civilization in the Balkans — Serbia — against the jihad-tending (and previously Nazi) elements. But he and Condi are too busy fighting the war on terror to worry about jihad.

I had no ambition or motivation or any idea of what to do with myself. I tried to go to college, but I just wasn't ready and couldn't focus on anything. I stayed in ten years, then got out and went to college and got straight 'A's and was absolutely appalled at the ignorant eighteen year olds in my classes! They could barely spell, much less write clearly. To sum up, I thank GOD I spent ten years in the military. I was aimless and clueless. And John Kerry's remarks did do one good thing for me: last night, I enrolled in the American Military University to finish my degree. So thanks, Lurch! I needed that push.

skerry latest apology
As a combat veteran, I want to make it clear to anyone in uniform and to their loved ones: my poorly stated joke at a rally was not about, and never intended to refer to any troop.
I sincerely regret that my words were misinterpreted to wrongly imply anything negative about those in uniform, and I personally apologize to any service member, family member, or American who was offended.
It is clear the Republican Party would rather talk about anything but their failed security policy. I don’t want my verbal slip to be a diversion from the real issues. I will continue to fight for a change of course to provide real security for our country, and a winning strategy for our troops.

Sen. John Kerry issues a statement saying: "I personally apologize to any service member, family member, or American who was offended" by comments he made about being "stuck in Iraq."
that's NOT an apology. An apology is "I am sorry for what I said, it was wrong". Not "I am sorry if you were offended by what I said", but it's still true. That's BS, not an apology. Not that I would have accepted his insincere apology anyway.
Agreed. I'm not defending the piece of crap.

Just for the record John Kerry has never visited an Active Duty Military Installation since he became a Senator. Back during the last presidential election while doing some research on the jerk I stumbled across this little anomaly. There are a ton of stories about him visiting VA hospitals, American Legion halls, VFW and some reserve units in MA and when he went to Iraq.
Nobody I asked was able to explain this little oddity or to provide me any proof to repudiate this assertion, including his office or campaign headquarters.
So my last question for Senator Kerry is not where is your official military records but rather why won't visit any active duty units or bases?

Flow Bee,,I feel your Transvestight pain..Please read our fearless leaders remarks...
Are you fed up with the GOP's miscegenation and gay bathhouse shenanigans? I know we've had our differences in the past, but maybe it's time for conservatives like you to give Democrats a fresh new look. The Republicans like to talk about having a "big tent," but we at the DNC are actually taking concrete steps to bring conservatives back in the fold. Just look at our innovative Iraq quagmire withdrawal plan, which has earned the praise and endorsement of rock-ribbed, traditional American conservatives like Pat Buchanan, Fred Phelps, and David Duke.Like us, these no-nonsense mainstream conservatives know it's time to bring US troops home where they belong, protecting our children from the clutches of the Republican congressional gay negro NAMBLA mafia. With our troops safely back, the people of Iraq can then begin building a faith-based society emphasizing the same traditional values that motivate conservatives like you: women at home, prayer in school, capital punishment for homos.
In less than three weeks you will be asked to make a stark choice. You can choose the GOP's same old Washington "backroom insider games" -- ewww -- or choose a fresh start with a new team dedicated to rooting out and exposing the Republicans' culture of man-love. People like Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Ted Kennedy, Hillary Clinton and John Kerry, dedicated public servants who want to reach out to you in a completely non-gay way. With your support, our team will make sure that you will no longer be at risk from tax cuts tainted with gay Republican AIDS cooties, and that your children trapped in the military will no longer be taking orders from the Butt-Commando-in-Chief.
But if, for whatever reason, you can't vote for us, why not stay at home and sit this one out? Let's face it, polls prove the GOP is doomed, and your traditional mindless loyalty to them has brought you nothing but heartache, disappointment, and a legislature full of sodomist and negros. The GOP came into power promising you a return to traditional values; instead, they were a Trojan Horse full of purse-swinging black Greek sailors who have turned Washington into Sodom on the Potomac, and Capitol Hill into the Love Shack on Brokeback Mountain.
While you're thinking it over, remember to register for the DNC's nationwide all-day Bible Study church lock-in on Tuesday November 7. Free chewing tabacky for the first 10 million enrollees!
Sincerely,
Howard Dean

From his apology:
"I sincerely regret that my words were misinterpreted to wrongly imply anything negative about those in uniform, and I personally apologize to any service member, family member, or American who was offended," he said in a written statement.
"As a combat veteran, I want to make it clear to anyone in uniform and to their loved ones: My poorly stated joke at a rally was not about, and [was] never intended to refer to any troop," he said.
In the statement, the four-term senator continued to assert that the GOP was using the gaffe to distract voters from its own shortcomings.
"It is clear the Republican Party would rather talk about anything but their failed security policy," he said. "I don't want my verbal slip to be a diversion from the real issues. I will continue to fight for a change of course to provide real security for our country, and a winning strategy for our troops."
He still doesnt accept blame. Its that his words were "misinterpreted" and the republicans deflecting the issue, nothing he really meant to say.

Of course, now Senator Kerry says he was just making a joke, and he botched it up. I guess we didn’t get the nuance. He was for the joke before he was against it.
As a leading Democratic senator, John Kerry needs to learn that the men and women serving in Iraq aren’t there because they didn’t study hard or do their homework. The all-volunteer force represents the very best of this country. They’re smart, patriotic, exceptionally well trained, and dedicated to their mission. #519 Render – Yay! I get the ball!
R -We are questioning YOUR integrity and motives.
Flowbitch – “No you weren't you were questioning the motives of Iraq and Afghan Vets who gave very poor ratings to your republican Congress members. “
R - Yes. I was. I still am, questioning your integrity and motives. I already know the “vets” you linked to have no integrity and I’m well aware of their motives. Those motives have remained unchanged from the days when Kerry sat in on VVAW meetings discussing the murder of elected US officials.
R - The majority, (in my considered opinion), of the people who post on this board are either active duty, retired, or related to same.
Flowbitch – “Bless them and thank you for your brave service.”
R - Isn’t a bit odd to insult them and bless them at the same time? I’m in the related to same category.
R - With just a handful of stupid, ill-informed, and poorly written posts, you've managed to insult every single one of those LGF regulars.
Flowbitch – “Maybe they should stop backing a bunch of profiteering war criminals who put their sons and daughters in harms way based on outright lies..The Bush administration is offending them way more than I ever could with may "poorly written posts".
R - Maybe you should consider showing a viable link or two relating to those “war crimes,” “profits,” and “outright lies.” It’s “who’ve” or “whom” between “war criminals” and “put their sons.” I’ll leave your misspellings and other typos to stand on their own…
R - And you managed to pull that off without bringing a single useful fact to the discussion.
Flowbitch – “See above RE. Vets who gave very poor ratings to your republican Congress members.”
R - Already seen it. Already know who they are, who funds them, and what they stand for. Try again.
Flawedbitch – “Also: "The Maliki government is playing Bush for the cowardly loser he is, apparently threatening him with more bad headlines, so the Americans backed off and left a soldier behind.”
R - You might want to dig through this very thread for the answers to your misguided and ill-informed commentary on that particular point.
Flawedbitch – “But look no further, citizens. John Kerry blew a punchline and that requires a full-on media frenzy. Nothing is more fun and exciting to the kewl kidz than going after a simple meaningless anti-Democrat story that pleases the GOP establishment. Everybody wins. Except the American people, of course. Or that abandoned soldier in Iraq." –Digby”
R - A punch line? Is that what Kerry blew to congress in 1972? Is that what Kerry blew with the POW/MIA issue in 1995? Were those soldiers not abandoned, twice – By John Kerry? You think this is simple or meaningless when John Kerry publicly abandons the men and women of the US military for a third time? This is the champion of the 2004 DNC, the man you idiots chose to be commander-in-chief?
Flawedbitch – “I am sorry if you don't feel that Bush cowering to the Iraqi PM and abandoning the search for a captured US soldier isn't ..."a single useful fact".
R - I don’t see where this President has cowered to anybody during his time in office, show me a link. I do see where you are tragically misinformed about several subjects.
Flawbee – “BTW this is Not a game this country and the military has been hijacked by a bunch of greedy, warmongering, drunken, cowards.”
R – No kidding it’s not a game, Sherlock. This military has not been hijacked. This administration isn’t greedy, didn’t start this war, no longer drinks, and is no more scared of you than they are of Osama himself.
R – Tell Kos or whatever DNC frontgroup you came from to upgrade the educational requirements for troll service on LGF. The sons of the Army are out thinking you before you can even post.
MORONS,
R

Typical lefty apology, I apoligize for your being offended but not for my saying it. As someone who has made plenty of mistakes in my life, I've learned that when you apologize and are truly repentant for what you did, you just apologize and leave it at that. Hey, John Kerry, I realize you probably have your people servants slaves read this for you, but you were NOT "misread, misquoted, or misunderstood". That asinine comment from Monday, plus many, many more that you have said and that are ON THE RECORD, that slander, disrespect, and malign the United States armed forces, show what a condescending, ecomaniacal prick you are.
You can dress a turd up, but in the end, you still have a turd. John Kerry, you are a turd.
And we understood, loud and clear, your original statement. You said what you meant to say. Sir - or Ma'am, which ever the case may be,
I thank you dearly for your service to our nation, to our allies, to the world in general, and for keeping my sorry ass safe at night, so that I could live in peace to become who I am today.
It is the absolutely outstanding, capable and highly-educated men and women like you, who create, maintain and enforce the freedoms, liberties and rights that I now enjoy, as a free human being - and for this, I thank you with every goddamn molecule in my pitiful 6'7" carcass.
I have no idea as to how disabled you are, but if there is any way, manor or form that I am able to help you, or even just brighten your life as a veteran, for even the slightest of minutes - please, DO NOT HESITATE to contact me as fast as you are able to!
One last thing: please do NOT listen to 'Mr' John Kerry - for he no longer represents any honorable human being on this planet. He is a total baffoon, a miserable little misfit, a tiny flacid impotent gigolo, who should step down from politics, and live off of the income that his wealthy spouse provides him with...like he used to, back when he was merely her 'boytoy'.
To everyone else here at LGF:
Aside from the aforementioned US networks, I have now emailed British BBC, Danish DR-1 and TV-2, as well as Norwegian NRK-1 and TV-2 with the hilarious response to 'Mr.' Kerry from our troops in Iraq.
It's 1:00 am over here, so I'm gonna hit the sack for now - but tomorrow I am going to continue emailing even more European television stations.
Hopefully at least ONE of these stations/networks will 'bite' and broadcast the photo.
I'll keep ya'll posted...
Goodnight!

#423 (Geepers) and #452 (Dustoff-507)
I am well aware of Kerry's faults, including his past slanders of US troops, his fabrications, etc. I will moreover stipulate that your interpretations of his latest remarks aligns with his actual opinions.
However, his excuse, which I anticipated in my comment, was that he was trying to insult Bush (for getting stuck in the quagmire of Iraq) not the troops (for being stupid enough to enlist, or get sent there, or whatever).
A lot of people will believe this excuse. They'd rather believe that it was a misunderstanding rather than believe he has such animosity towards the troops. They will believe that our efforts to make an issue of this is a partisan attack over a slip of the tongue, making our efforts backfire. The MSM will help in this regard.
Geepers, I didn't call you or anyone stupid. I suggested some people may be disingenuous in their handling of Kerry's remarks. Anyone could anticipate that this would be his defence, and that our attack could backfire. (Fortunately, Kerry's handled this all so badly that this now seems unlikely.)
Dustoff, in regards to your demand that I "Get [my] facts RIGHT", there are actually no facts under discussion here. Kerry's past remarks are indeed relevant, but were not the focus of my comment. I, like Lileks, was speculating on what Kerry was trying to say, and how he'd spin it now that he's in trouble. I daresay that you don't know Kerry's mind any better than I do.
Try to remember we're on the same side here. Of course, on reflection, I can't figure out why I thought there was any point in my submitting tactical advice to anyone on this site. Who's going to listen to me? Well, apparently you guys did, but decided not to respond to the point I was trying to make.

I am also a Republican as well. Get away from these people on the board. They alienate those who don't who don't think like them and will belittle anyone who thinks their own thoughts. This place is for news only, not open or honest dialogue. Leave it at that and give up. They are the bane of the conservative online community.
