Another Video from Zawahiri on JihadTV

Wed, Dec 20, 2006 at 8:32:23 am PST

Another video release from the Egyptian physician (broadcast by JihadTV, of course), playing to the American left more than to the jihadis: Zawahiri vows attacks on US, slams Hamas.

DUBAI (AFP) - Al-Qaeda’s second in command Ayman al-Zawahiri has vowed in a videotape that his group will pursue attacks on the United States and slammed Palestinian Hamas for joining the political process.

Only jihad, or holy war, can liberate occupied Palestinian territory, not elections, Zawahiri said in the video broadcast on Qatar-based pan-Arab television Al-Jazeera Wednesday without explicitly naming the Islamist movement.

Zawahiri said Al-Qaeda, which claimed the September 11, 2001 attacks on New York and Washington, will not stop attacks on US soil as long as the United States strikes Muslims on their own land.

“If we are hit in our countries, we will not stop striking you in your country,” he said.

Zawahiri said he believed the United States will ultimately have to talk with “the real forces” in the Islamic world in order to extricate itself from Iraq and Afghanistan, in a reference to Islamist extremists.

“It seems you will undertake a painful journey of failed negotiations before being forced to go back, God willing, to negotiation with the real forces,” said a turbaned Zawahiri.

Osama bin Laden’s number two also said US President George W. Bush was deceiving Americans by telling them he was going after “terrorists” in Afghanistan and Iraq in order to keep them away from the United States.

“Your safety lies in the following equation: you will not dream of security until we live secure in Palestine and all Muslim lands,” Zawahiri said.

Before September 11, 2001, Al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden rarely mentioned the Palestinians. Now that they’ve recognized the propaganda value of this overriding Islamic obsession, the quest to destroy Israel is their constant refrain.

“Accepting the legitimacy of Mahmud Abbas, the head of the national authority, America’s man in Palestine, and mandating the PLO which recognizes Israel to negotiate with Israel is an abyss which will ultimately lead to eliminating the jihad and recognizing Israel,” Zawahiri said.

Flanked by an automatic rifle, Zawahiri chided “some brothers in Palestine” who had been dragged into “elections on the basis of a secular constitution” because they had overlooked the realities of “the conflict between infidelity and Islam.”

Participation in the polls in turn led to “respecting international (UN) resolutions,” which was followed by accepting to form a government of national unity, and later by attempts to “get them (Hamas) out of government,” he said.

“How come they did not demand an Islamic constitution for Palestine before entering any elections? Are they not an Islamic movement?” Zawahiri asked.

He said it was “the duty of every Muslim” to recover Muslim land.

“Hence, as Muslims, we cannot give up one inch of Palestine to Israel — there’s no difference between 1948-Palestine and 1967-Palestine as far as we are concerned. All of it is Palestine and it all belongs to Muslims,” he said.

UPDATE at 12/20/06 9:42:50 am:

In case you missed the obvious appeal to the Iraq Surrender Groupies, the Associated Press spells it out for you: Al-Zawahri: U.S. talking to wrong people.

“Your safety lies in the following equation: you will not dream of security until we live secure in Palestine and all Muslim lands,” Zawahiri said.

"And all muslim lands." Which include....?

We know Spain. Isn't it anywhere they were ever in power --- or live in large numbers?

And if everybody's muslim (we just don't realize it or wickedly pretend we're not), then surely every land is muslim land.

So, in other words, we will never live secure until they rule everything.

11 D'kian_  Wed, Dec 20, 2006 6:38:57am

We should talk to them. You know: "Come on out with your hands up or I'll blow your f**** heads off!"

It is the duty of every Christian to fight for the recovery of every inch of Christian land.

That would include most of Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, "Palestine" and Jordan. Not to forget Armenia and Albania, Bosnia and, oh, say, London.

We'll start with Constantinople and go from there, mmkay?

Ayman al-Zawahiri does a service to the world by making the true Islamist agenda perfectly clear:

He said it was “the duty of every Muslim” to recover Muslim land.

“Hence, as Muslims, we cannot give up one inch of Palestine to Israel — there’s no difference between 1948-Palestine and 1967-Palestine as far as we are concerned. All of it is Palestine and it all belongs to Muslims,” he said.

All of it. No "two states living in peace side-by-side." All of it. You got that Bush? Are you listening Condi?

24 lawhawk  Wed, Dec 20, 2006 6:45:10am

Pope’s Speech Irking Muslims Wins Award

BERLIN, Dec. 18 — Pope Benedict XVI’s speech in Regensburg, Germany, which angered the Muslim world for appearing to link Islam and violence, won a speech of the year award from a university in his native Germany on Monday.

The pope, who gave the speech during a visit to Germany in September, apologized several times for any offense it caused among Muslims after protests, attacks on churches in the Middle East and the killing of a nun in Somalia.

He did not withdraw his words, though, and Roman Catholic officials accused the news media of willfully misrepresenting the speech. The jury of the prestigious Tübingen University’s Seminar for Rhetoric echoed that notion in its announcement about the speech on Monday.

“The topic of this deliberately misunderstood speech is the relationship between reason and faith in Christianity and the affirmation of the Christian conviction that acting reasonably corresponds to the nature of God,” it said.

In his speech, the pope quoted a 14th-century Byzantine emperor as saying that Islam had only brought evil to the world.

Headline of the year: Pope Irks Turks!

38 Right Side  Wed, Dec 20, 2006 6:55:11am

OT (or maybe not):

President Bush acknowledged for the first time yesterday that the United States is not winning the war in Iraq and said he plans to expand the overall size of the "stressed" U.S. armed forces to meet the challenges of a long-term global struggle against terrorists.

As he searches for a new strategy for Iraq, Bush has now adopted the formula advanced by his top military adviser to describe the situation. "We're not winning, we're not losing," Bush said in an interview with The Washington Post. The assessment was a striking reversal for a president who, days before the November elections, declared, "Absolutely, we're winning."

But I am getting fed up with it.....and starting to think that we need to take a MUCH harder line.

Only jihad, or holy war, can liberate occupied Palestinian territory, not elections, Zawahiri said

Tariq Ramadan on the meaning of jihad:

One simple (and complex) question: Can you please explain the term "Jihad?"

Tariq Ramadan: It is a complex question indeed for it is at the heart of the Islamic teaching. First, jihad is neither "holy war" nor "crusade." Jihad means effort and resistance. Our first natural inner state, as human beings, is not peace but tension. Tensions between our bad temptations and our positive aspirations. We need to get inner peace by controlling our self: This resistance is an inner jihad. While facing oppression, our resistance is in the same way a jihad. In fact the very meaning of jihad is to go from natural or potential tensions, conflicts or war towards inner serenity and collective peace. Jihad is the way toward peace … exactly the opposite of what is sometime understood by non Muslims … as well as some Muslims.

I guess Zawahiri didn't get the memo on the real meaning of jihad.

Allah told Muhammad that he will not allow the Jews to have their own country.

Israel = Koran is crap, therefore it IS the duty of every Muslim to try and make the Koran legitimate by destroying the Jewish state.

Zawahiri really needs to look at the videotapes of the last "Run to Baghdad" with Baghdad Bob in the background snarking while he's surrounded by US tanks. Reason: it's coming his way soon.

The coming buildup of forces in Iraq has no real value unless it's for other offensive action. Could be a "Run to Damascus" to shut down the command and control there. Or even a "Run to Tehran". In any case, Zawahiri's desire to have the US "meet the real face" of Islam is about to be fulfilled.

The Conquering Of Israel
Islamic tradition pictures the Mahdi as joining with the army of Muslim warriors carrying black flags. The Mahdi will then lead this army to Israel and re-conquer it for Islam. The Jews will be slaughtered until very few remain and Jerusalem will become the location of the Mahdi’s rule over the Earth. Rasulullah [Muhammad] said: "Armies carrying black flags will come from Khurasan. No power will be able to stop them and they will finally reach Eela (Baitul Maqdas in Jerusalem) where they will erect their flags." 21

It is important to note here the reference above to “Baitul Maqdas”. In Arabic this means “the holy house”. This is referring to the Dome of the Rock Mosque and is located on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

In a particularly venomous manner, Egyptian authors, Muhammad ibn Izzat and Muhammd ‘Arif comment on the above tradition:

The Mahdi will be victorious and eradicate those pigs and dogs and the idols of this time so that there will once more be a caliphate based on prophethood as the hadith states… Jerusalem will be the location of the rightly guided caliphate and the center of Islamic rule, which will be headed by Imam al-Mahdi… That will abolish the leadership of the Jews… and put an end to the domination of the Satans who spit evil into people and cause corruption in the earth, making them slaves of false idols and ruling the world by laws other than the Shari’a [Islamic Law] of the Lord of the worlds. (Emphasis mine) 22

There is a very famous tradition that is often quoted throughout the Islamic world that speaks of the Mahdi’s military campaign against Israel. The tradition is both sickening and very sobering:

The Prophet said… The last hour would not come unless the Muslims will fight against the Jews and the Muslims would kill them until the Jews would hide themselves behind a stone or a tree and a stone or a tree would say: Muslim, or the servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him… (Emphasis mine) 23

It is interesting indeed. That's what happens when people take items out of context. The general sees things as fluid and constantly changing. The battle is in flux, and the proper mix of power, pressure, and words and deeds will determine victory or defeat.

So far, the media wants to latch on to the latter, and the Democrat hopefuls think this is in their interests as well.

It is the duty of every Christian to fight for the recovery of every inch of Christian land.
That would include most of Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, "Palestine" and Jordan. Not to forget Armenia and Albania, Bosnia and, oh, say, London.

None of my business, but Egypt, Tunisia and Lybia must be added to your crUSAder list.

Plus, all the former soviet republics in Central Asia that must be divided between the Christians and the Buddhists.

Afghnanistan and Pakistan to Hindus and Buddhists. Indonesia to Hindus and Buddhists. BanglaDesh to Hindus.

Persia to Zoroastrians.

From ploome's link:

Much has been said about how non-Muslim minorities are suffering under Muslim majorities. Non-Muslims, it is said, are attacked and killed in the Muslim world; their houses of worship are destroyed; they are are not given the same freedoms that Muslims enjoy in the West. And this occurs, many conclude, because Islam itself demands that Muslims wage war against non-Muslims.

This last statement is patently false, and the only way that this is "proved" is by misquoting, mistranslating, or misinterpreting the Qur'an and other Islamic texts. Nevertheless, it is indeed true that there have been instances of mistreatment of non-Muslims in Muslim lands.

Add misinterpretation to humiliation.

Ok, I'm listenning to the whole interview with Bush. He spoke at length about the war, of which, he made the point again, that Irag is but one front. One of the reporters asked,

"Can we go back to a question about Gen. Pace, "we're not winning, we're not loosing" and you said... "we're winning absolutely"...

Bush, "That was an indication of my belief we are going to win."

Go hear it for yourself, and move the slider to the time 6:54.

“It seems you will undertake a painful journey of failed negotiations before being forced to go back, God willing, to negotiation with the real forces,” said a turbaned Zawahiri.

Translation: We should appease you and kiss your rear-ends.

I have a better answer: Let's blow you up instead. Or maybe since you like blowing people up, go blow yourselves up in your caves and do us all a favor.

Osama bin Laden’s number two also said US President George W. Bush was deceiving Americans by telling them he was going after “terrorists” in Afghanistan and Iraq in order to keep them away from the United States.

We haven't been attacked in more than 5 years. He is doing a very good job of keeping you scum away from us, isn't he? YOu are the liars here, as you are being kept away from us. Just drop dead already. We are all better off without you.

Flanked by an automatic rifle, Zawahiri chided “some brothers in Palestine” who had been dragged into “elections on the basis of a secular constitution” because they had overlooked the realities of “the conflict between infidelity and Islam.”

Ah, the real meat and potatoes! That this is about your bigotry against the Kaffir or Unbelievers.

Yeah, we should let them have a Taliban like state in Palestine. I'm not really sure if that is such a bad idea. Abraham Lincoln stated that if someone thinks that slavery is so good, then he should try it on himself. That seems to apply well to the Palestinians.

Blows my mind how different the Greatest Generation and the Boomers are. What went wrong?

Some say the Greatest Generation failed in only one thing, raising their children. Spoiled them, including with freedom.

Some say our problems today can be linked to just the sheer numbers of the baby boom. Throughout history, youngsters think they have it all figured out, but are taught better by their elders. For the baby boom, they had the numbers to overpower the will of their teachers, be those traditional teachers or the "teachers" that are society at large.

In other words, they weren't assimilated, where assimilation in this case would have been a good thing, into the societal norms tested, proven, and improved throughout generations.

Actually we have a website in progress. It will be for debate of issues, mainly, but we want a section that deals with issues we feel are important, and having your information outlets lying willfully to the populace seems important.

We only started in mid-November, so we don't have as long of a list as we should, but we're trying to dig back and see what other kinds of lies were told. Alot of it is already covered by this site, so we planned on just pointing people here for it.

Blows my mind how different the Greatest Generation and the Boomers are. What went wrong?

Once again I find myself in the position of having to speak up for Boomers.

Not all Boomers are liberal pussies, especially the early ones. I was one of the first year crop (1946) and MY generation was born right after World War II, grew up during the Korean War and fought and died in Vietnam (I was a US Marine). So....please don't disparage all Boomers. Many like myself served our great country, would do so again, and teach our children the same values we have: to love, respect and serve the country we love.

Zawahiri said Al-Qaeda, which claimed the September 11, 2001 attacks on New York and Washington, will not stop attacks on US soil as long as the United States strikes Muslims on their own land.

Right back at 'ya, F*ckface. We AMERICANS are the ones defending ourselves and our way of like. We honestly didn't give a damn about your region of the world or anyone in it until you starting murdering our people. Killing Americans because they have a different belief system and you have a massive inferiority/victimization complex is NOT SELF DEFENSE. AMERICA is DEFENDING itself against violent Muslim aggression. YOU are the aggressors. YOU started this war. YOU are the ones itching for a fight.

And if it's a fight you're looking for, I know a couple hundred thousand proud American warriors who are more than willing to bring it to your doorstop. Simply send one Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope (SASE) to the White House, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, D.C.

Well, Dr. Spock for starters.

Creation of the entitlement state during mid-60s to mid/late 70s.

Remember, the Greatest Generation grew up during a time when the federal government was actually somewhat trustworthy. Having come of age during the Depression, making sacrifices during World War II was more second-nature than hardship.

Following the war, they resolved that their children would have whatever they did not. With many having a limited education (high school or less), they entrusted their kids to the public schools - and took on significant debt to provide for college educations - not knowing that there was a slow but sure infiltration of Leftists until the late '60s.

Also, the WWII and Korean War vets came home and got on with their lives, lived with their memories of war and did not whine about not having a memorial.

And when a movement began in the 90's to build a WWII memorial, many ponied up and donated, knowing full well that there was a damn good chance they wouldn't be alive when it was unveiled.

They're the same generation that was not bashful about writing a check for the restoration of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.

One of the biggest mistakes made, is that most WWII vets did not talk to their children about their experiences because they considered it as something that had to be done; they did it; came home; and picked where they left off.

Unless asked about a specific event or operation he was involved in as a combat engineer in Patton's Army, my dad never brought the subject up. But if I asked about going into Normandy on D+7, Malmedy, the Bulge, the liberation of Mauthausen or sitting in southwestern Czechoslovakia waiting for Patton to issue orders to send the Soviets back to Russia, the words would flow.

By not discussing the war, including the rationing scheme stateside, the sense of, and obligation to, sacrifice was never fully imparted to the boomers.
