Gathering of Eagles in DC

Sat, Mar 17, 2007 at 9:02:42 am PDT

The Gathering of Eagles is in Washington DC today, standing guard over war memorials in the midst of a massive moronic covergence led by the Stalinist/anarchist group International ANSWER.

As always, I invite any lizards in the area to email photos of the moonbat tantrum. One of the best things we can do to defeat these nut sandwiches is to simply show them as they are.

UPDATE at 3/17/07 1:00:06 pm:

At This Ain’t Hell, pictures from the Gathering of Eagles rally.

UPDATE at 3/17/07 6:52:26 pm:

Another report on the pro-American demonstrators at The Redhunter: A Gathering of Patriots.

Mmmm, I wonder who will get the most coverage?

11 thedopefishlives  Sat, Mar 17, 2007 7:09:15am

Dammit, I so wish I could be there. I've only been to the Wall once, many years ago, and I'll never forget it. I would rather die than let some fucktard lefty paint, piss on, or otherwise deface such a powerful tribute to the heroes that have set this country head and shoulders above the world.

12 marjoriemoon  Sat, Mar 17, 2007 7:09:54am

I particularly like the Che shirts for sale on the ANSWER site that say "Stop Imperialism."

Isn't it grand to live in a country that gives you freedom of religion, freedom of speech and freedom of the press so you can tell your government to take those freedoms and go to hell?

God Bless America.

#11 thedopefishlives - A lot of us Vietnam Vets would love to be there today. Unfortunately a lot of us have jobs, or live too far away, or are too disabled or ill to go there.
I'm just hoping enough Eagles gather to keep the moonbats from defacing our memorial.
BTW, I don't know if it's true, but on one of the threads earlier this week or late last week, some lizards who've been monitoring the moonbat sites over this "demonstration" today reported that many at least said the were prepared for a physical confrontation and some suggested bringing acid as it would more permanently deface the Memorial (and could also be thrown at the Eagels).
I think the moonbats do have a right to show up at our memorial to speechify and carry placards and what not, but if they actually try to deface the memorial, or attack the Eagles, they will be responsible for what response that brings.
Mofo's.

I just read some of the coverage over at Fox News. I can't verify this, but it sounds like there might be more Eagles than moonbats. I doubt the little cowards would try anything physical if they're outnumbered. Also, the police are enforcing physical separation for now.

Found a MUSLIM GROUP THAT ACTUALLY supports America and Democracy. Mark Levin interviews M. Zuhdi Jasser, M.D. founder of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy. Mark Levin Fan has the audio of the interview along with a Levin monologue about the flying Imams.
The big question is, only because I've been fooled before, can we trust them?

Malkin is there with Bryan Preston, so be sure to check her michellemalkin.com and Hot Air throughout the day.

Also this guy BloggerJeff has already started posting pictures. He's been adding them every few minutes. He posted the link in an earlier freeper thread.

This thread at Free Republic has just been posted, it's for all things Gathering of Eagles -- photos, video, etc. Not much activity so far.

We'll probably have to wait a few hours before there's a lot of material to view on the web.

From your link...

I just spoke to the lead counsel for TROOPS OUT NOW, my high school pal, Buddy Spell. The anti-war activists had a little spat with the Capitol Police this morning at the Raeburn Bldg. According to Buddy, our "representatives" on the Appropriations Committee did not want to see us commoners in the their throne, excuse me, meeting room. So, they did the only logical thing; they packed the room with their staffers prior to opening the doors and prevented the public from entering and witnessing the criminal conspiracy contemplated therein. When objections were raised, objectors were arrested. Ten patriots were temporarily incarcerated and all are now out of jail, except for Code Pink's Gael Murphy, who was graced with an unwarranted and ridiculous charge of assault on a police officer. Follow the link - [Link: encampmenttostopthewar.blogspot.com...] -for pictures and additional comments.

The reporter said that the cops seemed to be particularly nervous for this protest.

They may be worried that it wouldn't take much for some real American men to turn anti-war sheehanista pussies into stains on the sidewalk.

In Sacramento, Gathering of Eagles has organized some activites at the State Veterans and Vietnam Memorials today (Capitol Mall at 15th St). Soldier's Angels will have tables for people to create Thank You cards for deployed troops and a table for kids to makes cards as well. Any of you Lizards in the area, the event will be going on until 2-3pm or so.

We got word last night that demonstration permits had been granted for anti-war groups as well. Will have cameras handy...

Growing up, with a very small number of my family having survived the Nazis and Stalin, I was flabbergasted at the stupidity of the anti-war crowd. They spouted propaganda without the slightest idea of what they were talking about. Back in those days - earnest thing that I was - I actually thought they could be engaged with facts and discussions (I don't say "rational discussion" because we were all still very idealistic at that age and prone to lots of emotion). What I learned from that was that middle and upper-middle class American kids were so confidant of their society that they couldn't even fathom the ruthlessness of forces out to destroy it and could be lead like sheep to be the "useful idiots" of our enemies. And it's still true today, isn't it?

Very good point. Today's kids have not grown up with the Cold War experiences the rest of us had. Many are oblivious to the real dangers out there. Thie lack of knowledge combined with oodles of self-esteem empowerment and multi-culturalism produces many of these clueless souls. Add to that a sprinkling of materialistic guilt and you have a potent combination. This combination is evidenced by the moonbats we have today.

Has anyone read Ayn Rand's We the Living? It's my favorite of her novels, and I think it skewers the idealism of the cafe communists.

One huge difference between America and Europs is that we respect property rights, Kelo notwithstanding. Yes, we are materialistic--and there's nothing wrong with that as long as there's an equal playing field for everyone to pursue their happiness. Enjoy materialistic frutis of our labors is not mutally exclusive of caring about society, but socialism does preclude individual freedoms to a horrifying extent.

Political Theater: The congressional testimony of Valerie Plame, the 'spy' who became a Vanity Fair cover girl, was staged to embarrass the Bush White House. It actually completed Plame's exposure as a fraud.

When all was said and done, the least preposterous sight at Friday's House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing could be found in the audience: namely, the woman dressed in hot pink who kept standing up behind Plame during her testimony to show the television viewers her 'Impeach Bush' T-shirt.

That woman was a lot more honest about what was taking place than Mrs. Joseph Wilson, who looked like the cat who ate the canary when Georgia Republican Rep. Lynn Westmoreland asked her whether she and her husband are Democrats. ...

The dark haired girl pointing her finger in the officer's face in the arrest video looks familiar, maybe she is that moonbat we had a thread about a while back who was spouting her future boyfriends would have to be fellow moonbats. Guatemalan heritage I recall, and this girl looks Latin.
The lady officer has the patience of Job.

I'm sorry, but I went to that site linked above (sorry I went) - I did not need to see ms sheehan today.

It should be a mandatory subtitle to all her pics that she gave up custody of Casey when he was seven, and that she gave up (is giving up?) custody of her current son. And that she never gave Casey a headstone on his now unmarked grave.

Just had to say that, makes me really hate that fake, simpering smile on her. Sorry, maybe my sinuses are getting to me today, I'm sure she's suffered a loss.

If the women in question is a memeber of Code Pink it is a good chance they are the same. Code Pinko has a hard core group of about 5 and if it wasn't for them arrested from time to time they would never get a good meal. Put they certainly get a lot of publicity don't they? I have often wondered how a group so small gets so much attention and manage to get access to the seating area in congress to taunt folks.
I wonder who they know?

yep very few people know that she gave him up at a young age. I had no idea she also gave up her current son too. I'm looking at my 2 year old right now and you'd have to kill me for me to be separated from her. When I tell people of this they really get pissed off and see her for what she is. I have no doubt that she is hurting, but I also know people that the loons on the left will use anything to be heard, even if it's wrong.

Well we see her mental status, I'm glad she gave those kids up...they had a shot at normal life then.

I didn't know that about the headstone. How did his father allow that?

129 baslimthecripple  Sat, Mar 17, 2007 8:41:22am

The chinless blonde with the cell phone is Code Pink's own Medusa Benjamin. What is really strange is that the nutroots evidently consider this effective propaganda. The bimbette who does a tail plant (likely concussing her brain) will be shown as evidence of police brutality. I remember the same repetitions of stupid slogans, the shrill voices, and shouting 35 years ago during the last days of the "student protest movement". Probably the same people too, just fatter, grayer, balder, and uglier. Although on the ugly side, they had a pretty good head start. Gorilla theater at its finest.

Cindy's excuse for not erecting a headstone was her concern that it would be a symbol that people who hated her would flock to and descreate. You see it was about her concern for her sons' gravesite. I still don't know why the delay since the goverment will furnish a headstone free and the family can replace it later if they want something different. I have never come across anything reported on that.
Cindy did get all of the insurance money around 400K and she did not share it. It is impossible to say what she spent the money on but when you consider she was unemplosyed and estranged from her husband and family with the only other visible source fo funding being the various left wing groups that used her and abused her to promote their cause it isn't too hard to put 2 and 2 together.

Crowds gather to denounce, support war

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Hundreds of anti-war demonstrators and supporters of the U.S. policy in Iraq shouted at each other Saturday from opposite sides of a street bordering the National Mall as protesters formed a march to the Pentagon to denounce a war entering its fifth year.

The anti-war group carried signs saying "U.S. Out of Iraq Now," "Stop Iraq War, No Iran War, Impeach" and "Illegal Combat." The other side carried signs saying "Peace Through Strength," "al Qaeda Appeasers On Parade" and "We Are At War, Liberals Root For the Enemy."

I guess snopes put some of my original bitching in question, good - at least she's not a complete, fill in the blank with something awful. It didn't really clear up some of my issues with her; eg, she was an activist before he was killed, this was nothing 'brought on by his death'.

Still feels like her using him as a club for something she already believed. If nothing else, it's dismissive of Casey's thoughts and beliefs - he chose to go into the military against her wishes. Any way, it's horrible that he's dead, but it also seems manipulative to use that against something he believed in.

It's not true. Michelle Malkin has been all over Cindy for a couple years now and she definitely would have run with it if that were true. Rush, Hannity, and all the rest of them too. Michelle was very involved with highlighting the fact that Casey's grave went without a headstone for so long.

I'm sure one of the things that horrified the She-hag when Casey joined up was that she raised Casey to share her "belief" system and he rejected it.

Vienna, Austria - In this usually tranquil European capital, where locals joke that the greatest danger is eating a bad pastry, many see the latest terror threat as faintly ludicrous.

It wasn't just that the online video warning was directed against famously neutral Austria, but that its grievances seemed so inconsequential: the presence of four Austrian liaison officers in Afghanistan, where they play no combat role at all.

That is a classic, priceless moment! I admire his spunk in protecting his mom. You will revel telling that story in years to come. Reminds me of when my brother and I decided to make a cake for our mom when we were mere toddlers of 5 and 3 years of age: we emptied all the cake mix, flour, and sugar on the living room coffee table to mix it! At the ripe old age of 24, my mom could not keep from laughing no matter how hard she tried shortly after awaking to discover how industrious her sons were. And from that point on it was here #1 story.

I see a successful entrepreneur in your little one!

It should be a mandatory subtitle to all her pics that she gave up custody of Casey when he was seven, and that she gave up (is giving up?) custody of her current son. And that she never gave Casey a headstone on his now unmarked grave.

I won't introduce your child to my niece, who:

-- Tiptoed into the kitchen in the dead of night and made a mixture all over the floor of a bag of flour, a bag of rice, and a bottle of red food coloring

-- Found my mother's splurge gift of Evian Facial Spray in the refrigerator and used the entire can to "clean" the bathroom mirror

-- Locked the bathroom door (from the outside, so no one could get in) and then taped a kiddie-scrawled note on it saying "Do not enter"

-- Came tearing down the hallway clutching her throat and screaming "I've poisoned myself!" After we'd dialed 911, we found out she'd drunk some mouthwash.

-- Mixed the contents of the sugar bowl and an overflowing ashtray and ate it

I'm still very careful with snope's view of things...this isn't the first time I've questioned their facts either with my own experiences on a subject or recollections...referring to the O'Reilly comments in their fact sheet. I could always be wrong of course.

I live in Houston and it will not be soon enough for all the Louisianians to go back home and stop clogging up the roads by going 20 miles an hour under the speed limit when all the Texans are going 20 miles an hour over the speed limit. Well that and all their gang bangers driving up the crime rate!

Therefore, I insist on the policy of all Katrina evacuees right to return.

Reppenhagen I am checking on still. I do not find him on any list going up to 2002 as a sniper graduate. I will have to contact my folks at Benning to find out if he went through since then. It is my experience that former military who go over to the anti war crowd grossly exagerrate their resumes. I have gone after several and asissted more then a few of them in returning to obscurity.
This generation of soldiers will not suffer like those of previous generations. My generation made the all volunteer military a relaity, Regan gave us pride and respect, and the actions of those currently serving has been nothing but phenomenal and will be damned if any John Kerry wannabee is going to drag them down.

Sounds like a genius level IQ to me. MENSA threshold is 135, or at least it was when they wanted me to join! However, as Groucho Marx so eloquently stated, "I would not join any club that would have me as a member."

Ramsey Clark also went to Iran in 1979 to try to negotiate the release of the hostages. His final point to them was "you don't want to deal with Reagan." While that was a true statement, how can someone go through that experience and still believe that talking to terrorists solves anything? All they respect is strength.

An individual can join Mensa if he/she got a certain score on various tests. It's different, depending on the test, but for most IQ tests, it's apx 130. Most schools give an IQ test early on, and you can obtain the results from the district in most states (that's how I joined - I just got my test score from the school counselor, who didn't want to give it to me but had to - hee hee). Then I sicced an entire class of English students on the counselors, after presenting a lesson about the Minnesota Twins Study, which proved that IQ is not static. I told them they were all good students (they were), so if their IQ was lower than they thought, they were over-achievers, which is good, and if it was higher, then - cool. The counselors were mad at me. :) I was pleased with myself.

The moonbats are planning an anti-war demonstration on Monday, March 19 in front of the New York Stock Exchange at the intersection of Wall and Broad Streets.

Companies are warning their employees to be prepared for potentially disruptive crowds who have, in the past, blocked vehicular and pedestrian traffic, and who are planning "a day of civil disobedience".

Please pass the word around.

Righhhttt. I bet that there were way more American flags on one side more than the other.

Their interviewing was pathetically done and their perception of numbers when talking about both sides was specific and then vague for impact purposes. I guess they realize their supporters that read their drivel ARE stupid enough to not question the interestingly placed vagueness.

There were so many quotes to pull from to ridicule this piece of garbage that was written. No, journalists don't write for that paper, complete idiots pushing their agenda do.

I wish I'd been able to make it to DC this year. Unfortunately, I had to make do with the absolutely pathetic anti-rational thought moonbat protest on the plaza in Taos, NM. This year the crowd was a lot smaller than in previous years. Just the usual collection of professional activists and code pinkos (with their insipid puppets) and a few tourists taking pictures of the idiots. Jeff Conant spoke to the group and recounted his story of his supposed harassment of Sec Rumsfeld at ski valley...which just happened to coincide with a call from local activists to get in Rumsfeld's face and call him a war criminal whenever he's in town. My husband walked up to him after he spoke and said...it was an interesting story, too bad it wasn't true. Jeffy had a look of complete fear on his face and was literally shaking.

I really despise those losers.

265 MKSheppard  Sat, Mar 17, 2007 1:44:51pm

Got back and I'm upset over how the gatherings of eagles people handled it all.

While I was able to infiltratre the moonbat area quite easily, a bunch of morons in biker jackets were refusing entry to the pro-war protest area unless you had a US flag or something. I got around this by simply jumping a fence and using the shrubbery around the Lincoln monument as cover.

.. I grew up on an AFB I vaguely remember going down to the flight deck at Edwards,, twice, in the very late 1960’s, to see my Dad off to “Thailand” I think my parents told us. I Did not really understand what was going on. Later, when my Dad returned and we were transfered to Nellis AFB in 1970 and we lived off base in BC, I learned about the “war”, then and later I learned about the Vietnam Wall, I learned the truth about what/where and what my Dad was doing. I learned the truth about Vietnam and Cambodia and Korea. I thank GOD for those names on that Wall.

This quote was in the middle of a spoken section of "The Mud Club" in which a dude walks into the club with a blue Mohawk and proceeds to "work the floor, work the wall, work the monitor system. . . ." The band was having monitor feedback problems at the Blossom concert, and there are numerous references to P.A. equipment throughout this ramble. Other than that, the quote is meaningless, I guess. But great imagery!
