Discovered by a reader at Indymedia, this was the scene yesterday in Portland, Oregon, as “anti-war” demonstrators burned not only a US flag, but a US soldier in effigy.

The anti-war activist who took these photos demanded that I remove them for copyright reasons, so I have. You can still see them here, where Rachael Palinkas apparently licensed them: Burning a soldier in effigy.

UPDATE at 3/19/07 6:42:26 pm:

On the bright side, I've noticed that attendance for these things has steadily declined over the last four years. In 2003, many ordinary, normal people who disagreed with the war attended. But with the passage of time, those people have seen and heard the fanatics who are in control of these organizations and they don't want anything to do with them.

There are still plenty of ordinary people who oppose the war, but I get the sense that they would rather not associate with the hard-core moonbats, Communists, and Islamists.

I was in line the other day in Orange County at a Subway Sandwich shop. Two soldiers were behind me in full uniform and they were picking up lunch for themselves and their buddies down the street at Boeing. I payed for everything they were odering and told them: "Your money isn't any good here". This one is on me. I also said that it was just a small token of the American Public's appreciation for their sacrifice.

Both of the soldiers shook my hand.

I felt humbled to get the opportunity to by lunch for those who would risk their lives for my freedom.

I'm trying very hard not to condemn all Leftists, but it's not easy. I know not everyone left of the centre hates Western civilization and wants it destroyed. After all, I am an ex-Leftist myself, and I never did anything of the kind. I was simply naive.

However, it is impossible to ignore the fact that some Leftist do actively seek the destruction of the West. There's a reason why Islamic infiltrators such as Tariq Ramadan reach out to the Left, because they see them as natural allies, and they're right.

According to journalist Ian Buruma, Ramadan prefers "Islamic socialism, which is neither socialist, nor capitalist, but a third way." The murderous tyranny to be resisted is "the northern model of development. When faced with neoliberal economics, the message of Islam offers no way out but resistance." This kind of language will be well received among Western Leftists, and he knows it.

From portland Indymedia...
Should we support the troops?

Somewhere in a thinktank deep in the bowels of the Ministry of Propoganda sometimes after the Vietnam war someone came up with the idea that instead of supporting the war we will tell the public to support the troops.
...
Even people on the far left will get caught up in this and become "cheerleaders" for the troops.

Aren't the troops the muscle behind imperialism? fascism? capitalism? Any dictatorial power that uses force to compel obedience needs soldiers, without them they would be nothing. Remember the song by Donovon? Universal Soldier? He figured that out a long time ago.

Is there any justification for anyone to join the military? If you are poor, uneducated with no employment prospects does that justify becoming a soldier? If you kill people in your role as a solider (with the blessing of the government) are you really a hero or a murderer?

OH boy, I just checked out the rest of the pics, so many children dragged to the protest. I see they are teaching them young how to deface property by practicing with chalk.

A red crescent on a cross... interesting. Stupid, but interesting, I'm sure there is some convoluted message there.

The funny part is, even though the age range is vast, they are all operating on a 3rd grade level. I just have to devote myself to more counterprotests. Oh and hang around until the end of the day, they have to take the masks off sometime, right? *click*

[Link: www.brusselsjournal.com...]

On Fascism and Islamophobia

In fact, one could argue that Fascism is in fact a left-wing movement, with its emphasis on state control over individuals etc. This explains why Mussolini and many Nazis were ex-Socialists, and why the Swedish Social Democrats in the 1930s frequently admired the Fascists. Their differences were based on details, with passionate family fights.

I've heard people say that the hard-Leftists are the new Fascists. But then again, maybe they always were...

Good rough draft. I'm glad I didn't attend; just the girl with the "Impeach" sticker alone would have been too tempting a target for becoming Part of the Problem via a quick rip-n-grab. (Yes, I'm a vile, sexist pig.)

The "Socialist Republican" folks might be part of Sinn Fein. That's been the standard definition of their political ideology for decades, and San Fran's Irish-American community has always harbored a pro-IRA element.

I am against war and I am against this criminal war that was started by our criminal president!

I am talking about president Roosevelt, of course and World War II! Why did we invade the sovereign country of the Third Reich?! We killed so many innocent Third Reichians in the name of "freedom" and hundreds of thousands of American troops died. And the Third Reich had nothing to do with Pearl Harbor! Absolutely nothing! Wasn't the whole purpose of WWII to capture the Emperor of Japan and bring him to justice? Did we capture the Emperor of Japan? We did not! We LOST WWII! But the criminal Roosevelt regime wanted control over the French wine. It was BLOOD FOR WINE! Sure, Hitler was a bad man who killed so many people, but Roosevelt was worse because he gave no-bid contracts to American winemakers. I have a Microsoft Word document from 1943 to prove it.

These undesirable individuals would have been exterminated at the hands of the fascists long ago. Of course dear. We teach them from kindergarten to have NO TOLERANCE for anything that has been declared "outlawed" - even if it is otherwise perfectly legal. So, we end up with honors students permanently expelled for unthinkingly packing a platic picnic knife in their lunch box in violation of the NO TOLERANCE policy. They are taught from the youngest age that "free speech" applies only to politically correct, group-think, administrator approved speech.

I think we should get back to the idea that Leftists don't believe in evil. That's why they are soft on terrorists and criminals, who are simply "misguided individuals," a product of their society and victims of it. If they commit some really terrible act, this can only be because they have been subject to terrible injustice and oppression.

Yet at the same time, Leftists do believe that all those who oppose their policies are evil. This paradox needs some explanation.

The tabula rasa or "clean slate" view of humans has been shared by good men such John Locke. As a non-Christian, I too do not believe that human beings in general are born sinful. However, the idea can be dangerous if combined with massive state indoctrination.

According to Jean-Jacques Rousseau, "The state should be capable of transforming every individual into part of the greater whole from which he, in a manner, gets his life and being; of altering man's constitution for the purpose of strengthening it. [It should be able] to take from the man his own resources and give him instead new ones alien to him and incapable of being made use of without the help of others. The more completely these inherited resources are annihilated, the greater and more lasting are those which he acquires."

Rousseau also stated that: "I want the property of the state to be as great and powerful, and that of the citizens as small and weak, as possible. With private property being so weak and so dependent, the Government will need to use very little force, and will lead the people, so to speak, with a movement of the finger."

It is this lethal cocktail of the "noble savage" idea, anti-individualism and state indoctrination that led via Robespierre to modern totalitarian states.

Even Thomas Hobbes, although a more sensible man and although he was influenced by the English Civil War, in Leviathan advocated the necessity of a strong central authority and specifically rejected the doctrine of separation of powers.

I believe this contradiction between Leftists not viewing criminals or terrorists as evil, but considering ideological opponents to be evil, can be explained if we postulate that they think that criminals haven't received proper ideological guidance, while political opponents have rejected their ideological indoctrination and are thus considered a threat.

Mexican [ junk truck] 'Smog' Soon to Hit

Environmenmentally sensitive Californians may soon be engulfed in mists of smog thanks to the fleets of Mexican trucks that will transiting the state's highways, a new report warns. California has an Air Resources Board which released its report this past Monday, stating that 50 tons of new smog - the equivalent of that produced by 2.2 million cars - will be pouring into California's skies because 17,500 Mexican trucks will be crossing into the Golden State each day under NAFTA's rules.

Today, that number is only 3,500 trucks.

Of the additional 14,000 trucks, a quarter were on the road before 1980, and as many as nine of every 10 were built before 1993, according to the air board report.

"The supplemental emissions generated by the increased truck traffic could impede California's progress toward attaining the federal air quality standards, which could potentially jeopardize billions of dollars in federal transportation funding," the report states. San Diego officials say they may have to impose more stringent local standards to offset the added pollution from Mexican trucks.

The only Psalms I know that were well done in modern, i.e, past 33 AD, music were Schuberts rendition of the 23d and Kim Halls version of the 1st.

We sang the 23d to my church in the early 80s and brought the 'house' down. It was a stand ovation...something most christian churches do not have happen. That included ours.

Former vice-president and global warming guru Al Gore Jr. received more than $500,000 in royalties from the owners of zinc mines, according to a report on Tennessean.com. [the same uber-Liberal rag which sandbagged the story on energy usage at one of his mansions]

The mine owners held mineral leases on Gore's farm near Carthage, Tenn.

Before being shut down in 2003, the mines emitted thousands of pounds of toxic substances.

Reportedly, on several occasions, the water discharged from the mines into nearby rivers had levels of toxins above what was legal.

Now the mines have a new owner and are scheduled to reopen later this year.

There are a good many people [in Portland] with their heads screwed on straight, and more wake up every day.

I hope you're right. I spent fourteen years growing up in Portland, and it wasn't until moving to the Midwest for college that I realized how much liberal elitism permeates the Pacific NW. I now semi-jokingly refer to it as "Havana West."

When Thomas Frank came out with his condescendingly overwrought What's the Matter with Kansas? critique of the "red" states, I felt like the world was owed a counter-argument book entitled something along the lines of What's Wrong with Oregon?

Perhaps someday I'll actually pursue that undertaking and include the above Indymedia photos.

While I have long supported civil rights for gays, and indeed have locked horns with some posters here by supporting gay marriage, I have to say that the gay movement has been the Islamists' best friend in this country, and has in consequence been energetically sowing the seeds of its own destruction.

Either they'll be saved from themselves by people who they detest, or they'll be destroyed by people they love. Ironic, either way.

#175 Fjordman,

I think we should get back to the idea that Leftists don't believe in evil.

It is my opinion that it isn't so much that the left doesn't believe in evil as much as they don't recognize good and there is a difference.

When we were children and are parents held us to account, we were too immature and naive to recognize that being held to a moral standard is a wonderful form of love. How many of us didn't secretly dream when we were young, that is if you had a mother like mine, to have one of those "cool" parents - the permissive type that wanted you to have fun or feel good? They weren't your parent but your friend.

Invariably, the permissive parents raised their children to become dysfunctional adults or at best, go through a long period of their life before they recognized that living only for the day eventually condemns one to failure.

I believe what we are witnessing now is simple rebellion. This is the new definition of their tolerance and the only thing that can't be tolerated are those who dare state there is a better way. The people who gather at rituals such as this are spiritually dead and completely lost. I believe it is that simple.

THEY KNOW EVIL...& THEY BELIEVE IN EVIL...It is just that they think the GREATEST EVIL is the United States and the "West".

It also doesn't help that their existential attention is distracted by diversions like climate change. All their survival instinct is diverted to chasing ghosts. While their real support systems are in real jeopardy.

Second only to Israel, our best ally in the region are the Kurds. That alone is worth fighting for. But of course, Al-Qaeda is still in Iraq, and we should relish every chance we get to turn any of their foot soldiers into a bloody grease spot. Than their is the tactical advantage of flanking Iran on its Western front, and having troops within minutes of the Syrian border. Of course, none of these reasons are going to convince one such as yourself that we should stay in Iraq. But I ask you, why should we remain in Afghanistan? Why should we consern ourselves with rebuilding the schools, farms, infrastructure, etc.? I mean, the vast majority of the recent Taliban and Al-Qaeda bigs have been caught in Pakistan. In fact, we are confronting far more Al-Qaeda terrorists in Iraq than in Afghanistan. So, how does remaining in Afghanistan preserve American freedoms?

Maybe you should start to think in different terms...say what might benefit this country decades from now, instead of what the next NYT head line might suggest.

I recruited up in the Portland area for the Navy (doctors, nurses, allied health and dentists) from 1998 to 2001. Portland has seemed to have this desire to be the socialist mecca for the Northwest for sometime (and an inferiority complex as being "snubbed" by Seattle). I was successful during my three years (21 Navy Officers recruited), and the majority of the people in the area were really pleasant to me (I have a home over in Vancouver, WA "cross the creek, in the 'Couve") and consider it my home.

The big issue there is that most of the people in government at the city ans even state level are of the "socialist" ilk (open drug use, homeless sleeping allover the place, Anarchy Days in Eugene, etc...). Most still beleive in the ways of Stalin, Mao, Che and others "heroes of the revolution" yet are more than happy to live on the streets and expect us (the bourgeois) to help them out - money for their meager lifestyle. They never passed up an opportunity to protest and give the "police bureau" grief.

But I could always tell that these people were in the minority - our recruiters always seemed to make monthly goal and there is always great support from the community for the Navy every year during their visit . People like us live there, but they are a silent majority that grows tired of this leftist/socialist/Maoist mindset.

Being an ex-socialist, who still dates far-leftists...I must wholeheartedly agree with you. The people I know (& have as friends) on the Left (not only the far left) think of Conservatives as the Worst there could be (thus anything associated with them is automatically wrong) and the far left has absolutely ZERO patriotism.

They do not consider themselves American overall but "citizens of the world", even Cindy Sheehan made it very clear @ the rally in Washington. "don't think the U.S. is the only thing around, we need to be citizens of the world, think about everyone else 1st...blah blah blah".

If it were P.C. to do so, they would come out and admit that they think the U.S. is the major oppresive force in the world (actually they pretty much do if you just read what they have on their signs and listen to them) and thus that evil oppresive force must be destroyed.

When they say that they support the U.S., they really mean that they support the United States as a country that is not autonomous and nor individualized. They support a beaten down, defeated U.S. that takes its orders from the rest of the world. One big world commune where even though we the United States do 90% of the work (that would be you & I, those Capitalists with jobs, who make money), we should give it all away to those that don't contribute at all, etc.

In short, they support the U.S. as a small piece of a world wide communist web.

(I won't lie, most of that sounds fine to me...I am 100% for helping the poor, 100% for equality between the nations, 100% for Peace, love and brother/sisterhood, etc., but it has been tried and failed, despite good intentions...it doesn't work! Once those that work no longer get the benefit of their work, and it becomes just as beneficial not to work, people stop working! Period!)

Job #1, protecting our kids!
Note to FBI: Remember Canadian Terror Plot & Beslan School Massacre

The FBI has alerted law enforcement officials across the United States that they have information that aliens under recent investigations, with ties to extremist organizations have been involved with buying school buses and/or obtaining licenses to drive school buses - but they say that there is nothing to be concerned about!

I find a couple of sentences in the article I have attached below to be particularly worrisome. Consider this sentence:

"Asked about the alert notice, the FBI's Rich Kolko said, "There are no threats, no plots and no history leading us to believe there is any reason for concern," although law enforcement agencies around the country were asked to watch out for kids' safety."
I would like to know if Mr. Kolko has been reading newspapers. Last summer a terror ring was taken down by the RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) in Ontario. I included the text of the New York Times account of the arrests of those suspects below. One of the leaders of that suspected terror cell was a school bus driver. By driving a school bus, an individual who is intent on recruiting young people who might be vulnerable to swaying to the terrorist ideology, has easy "legitimate" day to day contact with many young people with whom he comes in contact a regular basis.

School bus drivers also have easy access to the schools as well as the young students. If we are to consider some recent history, consider what occurred in August 2004 Beslan in Russia when terrorists attacked a school and 323 hostages were killed in the effort to end the siege. Among those who died were 156 children who were slaughtered. Hundreds of additional, badly injured hostages were taken to hospitals. Here is the CNN account of that terrorist attack in Russia.

So I wonder to what "history" Mr. Kolko was referring.

"U.S. Out of Iraq Now" Anti-War Rally
San Francisco, March 18, 2007

Actually, one of the YouTube videos that I embedded is still processing, and I may add a few captions and links later tonight, but basically, I'm satisfied with it as is. The video will be available in a few minutes anyway. I gotta have dinner now, so the final finishing touches won't be applied for hours.

No purpose to wait around for tiny incremental improvements. Let's roll!

Let the linkage begin!

Great link and story!

It describes the modern day leftist Democrat "Copperheads" to perfection.

This is part of a quote, that was spoken to the same, exact type of people during the Civil War, the equivelant of the modern day leftist Democrats "Copperheads",

you are my enemy, and I wish you were in the ranks of my open, avowed, and manly enemies, that I might put a ball through your black heart, and send your soul to the Arch Rebel himself.

The "Copperheads" are the same today, as they were during the Civil War.

Absolutely. They don't just hate Bush. They hate America. Washington? Slaver. Jefferson? Slaver. Lincoln? Racist. Pilgrims? Colonialists. Westward expansion? Imperialism. They hate America from Plymouth Rock to Iraq. I've been there when it started in the 60's, but we weren't even as extreme then as these ones today. They're much worse than we were. We brought down Johnson and Nixon and lost the Vietnam War. But we at least felt vaguely connected to western civilization. Report: Iran Ponders Kidnapping U.S. Troops in Retaliation for Mysterious Officer Disappearances

Tel Aviv, Israel — Iranian forces are threatening to retaliate — against U.S. forces — for a series of suspected kidnappings of high-ranking officers of its elite Revolutionary Guards unit.

The Sunday Times of London reported that the Mideast nation may be planning to seize American, U.S., and Israeli personnel to strike back at western forces for possible clandestine operations to seize top tier commanders of the Iranian military structure for information on its activities in Iraq.

U.S. officials have accused the Iranians of providing material and planning support to Shiite militias operating inside Iraq. American military leaders have said many roadside explosives often employed to target allied military vehicles have Iranian origin.

“We’ve got the ability to capture a nice bunch of blue-eyed blond-haired officers and feed them to our fighting cocks,”said Reza Faker, a writer linked to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, in a Revolutionary Guard's weekly newspaper quote cited in the Times report. “Iran has enough people who can reach the heart of Europe and kidnap Americans and Israelis.”

Furries. Deal with 'em.

A while back, Zombie got another great shot of a Furry at the "How Berkeley Can You Be?" annual freak show. Scroll about 2/3 down, past the ugly naked people and other assorted moonbats, until you see the "Klingons." The young lass wearing little but a fur bikini is a particularly good example of the Furry breed. (I actually know her; she's actually a nice young lady, if a textbook geekette.)

Columnist Dan Savage, who I otherwise consider a flaming a-hole, made an interesting observation about this subculture. He said that he thinks the fetish was born in the late 80s, when the we're-all-going-to-die-of-AIDS sex-miseducation of the era terrified a lot of adolescents into psychologically abandoning adult sexuality, and regressing to the little-kid sensual world of soft playthings and cartoon animals. I haven't heard a better explanation since...

It's too bad more American mothers don't breastfeed. I'm serious. It's really good for babies' IQ's (among many other things!)

Nope. It's nothing of the kind, on the evidence. Upper and middle class professionals (e.g., lawyers) and the wives of such are in a position to breastfeed, lower class women (e.g., factory line workers) are not. The correlate with breast feeding is economic clout to get one's way, which not surprisingly also correlates with IQ.

For the sceptical: is there any doubt that breastfeeding also correlates with Volvo or trust fund ownership, or for that matter spa membership? Of course not. The evidence does not support that breastfeeding causes higher IQ any more than the evidence suggests that a dropping barometer causes rain.

As the old saw goes, correlation is not causation. Confusion on this point is yet another indictment of journalists, who regularly publish stories that miss this point.

I'm pretty sure if they were caught trying to present such symbols in any even-slightly traditionalist Islamic environment, they'd be beaten senseless on the spot, tossed in a deep hole with a steel plate over the top 'til Friday, then dragged out and stoned for blasphemy after a fiery afternoon sermon. Any sensible Muslim can see they're trying to visit apostasy on the souls of Islam's holy martyrs by postmortem Christian conversion. And I doubt that would play well in the mosque.

I know that the "A" in a circle is "anarchy," but what is the "E" in a circle?

Circle E Candies, candies, candles, and gimcracks and gewgaws for home or gifts.

It's cutting-edge advertising, and besides, where are those protesters going to get money otherwise?

:)

No way, dude, that "e" must stand for "emo."

357 rorschach  Mon, Mar 19, 2007 6:42:33pm

My God, they are deserving of the utmost opprobrium.

I sure hope someone is taking down names.

358 Thanos  Mon, Mar 19, 2007 6:48:32pm

E crossed out hrmmm E=MC2... E banned means no energy I am guessing. They probably don't like global warming, Enron, Exxon, Esso, or most other things that help them survive.

Lets face it, in medieval times none of these fruitcakes would have survived, they better be damned happy they live in a high energy society.

359 Aloysius  Mon, Mar 19, 2007 7:03:00pm

The black-clad dorks in the pictures appear to be the self-styled anarchists from Eugene. A few years back the bad-ass anarchists were busy up here in Seattle breaking things during the WTO riots...the little dumb-fucks. Their "knowledge" of history is information they read from such worthies as the old Stalinist Howard Zinn and the hateful Noam Chomsky. Yes, they hate America, the West, capitalism, etc., etc., etc. And, yeah, the black clothing is scary, if you can overlook their emaciated frames.

360 Doss  Mon, Mar 19, 2007 7:06:38pm

I think I might have solved the cirlced "E" mystery.

It might be "entropy," which would seem to fit in with anarchy.

361 tblot  Mon, Mar 19, 2007 7:06:47pm

It should be noted that Locke in the Essay on Human Understanding holds the tabula rasa thesis specifically in the domain of knowledge or epistemology, in the same exact way as did Aristotle, whereas he did not apply this same theory to morality and the question of original sin. This position is also not unlike Aristotle, who held that man was created by a greater Intelligence with built-in "final ends" or purposes that are in accordance with his superior, rational nature. In this sense, Locke held a fairly Scholastic and orthodox Christian view on the Fall and man's fundamental capacity for evil. In short, man is constructed with the moral law "written on his heart," as St. Paul said, while at the same moment with the possibility for sin present in his nature. Locke acknowledged a certain agreement with Hobbes in this pessimistic view of man left simply to his own devices, while of course rejecting nearly everything else, including Hobbes' response to the reality of avarice in man's nature. Locke's position may ultimately be paradoxical, as the moral position seems to provide an a priori proof against the blank slate, but it is his position nevertheless.

What they really mean is:

No Gods but Allah
No Country
No Masters but islam.

371 Ban Draoi  Mon, Mar 19, 2007 8:43:50pm

The "no masters, no gods" nonsense came from Margaret Sanger.

I look at this kind of crap and think how lovely it would be for a couple of Apache gunships to make a couple of passes and incinerate the whole lot. Afterwards they should move on down the left coast and incinerate every moonbat enclave. Eugene, Seattle, San Francisco, Berkeley, up in smoke.

Send their denizens to the eternal flames where they belong.

Forgive me for sounding savage but I have been witness to the treason and evil of the left for a good part of my adolescence and my adult life and I will tolerate it no more.

372 HB3  Mon, Mar 19, 2007 8:55:11pm

Ok, I've got it. It's not "A" and "E" separately, but together:

A&E.

They love "Biography"...

373 Shiplord Kirel  Mon, Mar 19, 2007 9:16:21pm

This exists only because the depraved media industrial complex has re-defined "free speech" to suit itself, and intimimidated the craven authorities into accepting their definition. Constitutionally, there are well-defined limits and this is past any of them.

Similarly, the Muslim cab-drivers in Milwaukee are in obvious violation of various Civil Rights Acts pertaining to public accommodation, yet the bureaucracy is unwilling to take action against anyone who has the support of the establishment media.

Either the government will step up to take our country back from these traitors and infiltrators or the people will.

Incidentally, this has made Free Republic and at least one Freeper just doesn't believe it.

374 Idle Drifter  Mon, Mar 19, 2007 9:24:26pm

I have a strange thought of these people getting run over by tanks. But do these kids actually think they could win in a stand up fight against well organized and disciplined fighting force? Don’t answer it's a rhetorical question.

375 dadling  Mon, Mar 19, 2007 9:29:09pm

Living in the NW, I know how many idiots live in Portland.
They show what fools they are...and they are proud of it...
Portland is a national shame...but, Oregon is full of wonderful and conservative people...we make Washington state and Oregon liveable...and in the end, the good people of the state will overcome the fools...

This makes me want to cry...

Ma'am: These POS (pieces of sh*t) aren't worth or worthy of your tears.

You're blessed to be a wife of a soldier, one who is worthy of respect and admiration from all good people, and not the disdain and derision that these cowards in the pictures require.

If you want to make a wish, go ahead and hope that these cowards will attack Confuzed and some of his buddies while we are unarmed. The crying you won't hear will be them when they get torn apart messing with the wrong people.

Bless -- there won't be a civil war. Because let's face it, the left would sneer and look down at the violence of the right.

And on the right, well, they'd be fighting. Someone is getting his ass kicked, and it sure isn't me.

Yesterday morning I was watching the KPTV 12 news, and the idiot reporter was describing the protest as "family friendly". I wanted to throw a brick through the TV. So this is what they consider family friendly? That's some screwed up family values they got. I also loved the gushing terms they were using to the describe the protest, like it was the greatest things their hippie asses had seen since the 60's, man.

381 PaisleyCow  Tue, Mar 20, 2007 1:56:26am

Portland is pretty much the same as it has always been for the last 21 years I've been alive. While there are plenty of good people out there, I'm pretty sure there are a lot more crazies.

I think this would make a great article topic for the Oregon State conservative newspaper The Liberty. I'll get right on it.

Ironic that they cover their identities as they burn the flag and effigy. Are they not proud of what they are doing?

Hey Trout, now you understand why I left Portland and made aliyah to Israel. Sorry you still have to deal with these "neighbors."

This looks like NW near the park blocks. Can anyone identify the corners where these pics were taken? I recognize the church tower in the background but for the life of me, can't remember where it was.

386 American Jewess in Jerusalem  Tue, Mar 20, 2007 3:04:01am

Sweetie, don't cry; you married a MAN. That's something to rejoice over. :-) Just look at these sniveling, whiney little weeny boys in the pictures. I say draft them all, chain them together, and make them dig ditches or whatever, in service of their country. They have too much time on their lily-white hands, and you know, as they say, "idleness is the Devil's workshop."

At least one of them could put two & two together & remember that he hates hippies

392 Jimmah  Tue, Mar 20, 2007 4:47:13am

Maybe the 'E' is for environment?

393 AndyMacOP  Tue, Mar 20, 2007 4:55:50am

Things you will never see at a conservative protest rally, now or in the future:

Kill Hillary Clinton and Her Wife Bill!

Fuck Universal Health Care!

Obama = Stalin

Why? Because as a rule educated people are respectful and have class. This BS is producing some of the most ugly excuses for human beings I have ever seen. They are products of a new type of learning model that is frightening to say the least. Never fear, when the muslims take over, they will be the first to be beheaded, because there is nothing more repulsive and worthy of death to a muslim than a godless commie. If these "free thinkers" believe it is so bad in America, they should try to protest like this in Saudi Arabia or Egypt. Yes, free speech is ugly and stupid at times, but at least we have it here in the USA, and countless people have died for it you absolutley horrible human beings!

394 Leauki  Tue, Mar 20, 2007 4:58:43am

I think the poster means:

NO G-DS but Allah
NO COUNTRY for Kurds
NO MASTERS but Saddam

And the others seem to be mostly demanding an end to the "apartheid" that keeps the Jews safe from their would-be murderers.

I wonder if its ever occurred to these twats to burn an effigy of Osama Bin Laden? Or would that be considered politically incorrect?

398 alteredbeat  Tue, Mar 20, 2007 7:09:35am

More proof of the convergence of Islam and liberalism. This scene closely resembles ones that happen all over the M.E. The masked thugs look like Hamas terrorists. The burning effigy looks like the US soldiers burnt and hung from light posts in Iraq and dragged behind cars in Somalia.

Belief in an evil, false god (Allah) and no god is really the same because both do not recognize and honor the one, true, all-good God. Also, both are tools in the hands of the all-evil Satan to destroy those that believe in the one, true God (Jews and Christians), the very ideals of those people (freedom, equality, etc.), and the societies they've established (the West and Israel).

399 Greg  Tue, Mar 20, 2007 7:25:23am

I wonder what is going to trigger the open warfare in the streets with these people sooner or later...a murder of a soldier on leave, the destruction of average working man's property or abode, an insane act by a collective group of these subhumans?

What will bring the new civil war into fruition?

When it happens, obviously these people will be stamped out by most patriotic Americans when that happens.

400 brain-washed sheeple  Tue, Mar 20, 2007 7:40:38am

401 Al1  Tue, Mar 20, 2007 7:51:13am

402 mksmothers  Tue, Mar 20, 2007 8:35:57am

At least they are being morally consistent. As a veteran, it has never made sense how you can, as the cliche goes, support the troops, but not the war. If the war is evil, so are the soldiers who are directly supporting the war.

"A date certain, then, gives the leverage, the catalyst for [Iraqis] to understand they must step up to the plate, don't have a culture of dependency," Sestak, a former admiral who led a carrier battle group, said of his bill to pull U.S. troops out of Iraq war by the end of the year.

Do you suppose this sort of thing would work with welfare too?

406 loggiedog  Tue, Mar 20, 2007 12:42:47pm
