Newsweek Shills for the Muslim Brotherhood

Fri, Apr 27, 2007 at 9:50:34 am PDT

It’s not the first time Newsweek has published a press release for Islamic supremacism, and it won’t be the last: Mideast: The New Muslim Brotherhood: Mullahs Gone Mild.

As we’ve noted several times recently, the Muslim Brotherhood has mounted a charm offensive in the West, trying to remake their image without altering their imperialist goals. Disgraceful anti-American media outlets like Newsweek are only too happy to help.

The caption for Newsweek’s photo headline reads:

Akef says he only wants the Muslim Brotherhood to be the ruling party through the ballot box.

Yes, that’s the same Muhammad Mahdi ’Akef who recently called for attacks against the US and Israel.

And if the Brotherhood does become the ruling party in Egypt “through the ballot box,” they can throw the ballot box away after that election—because it will be the last one.
