-RetweetMainstream Media Screw-Up of the Day

Fri, May 25, 2007 at 6:04:47 pm PDT

The Minneapolis Star Tribune is currently running a story on their World News page with the shocking news that Israeli commandos have attacked the Lebanese city of Tyre.

Imagine the reaction among the Twin Cities’ sizeable Muslim population, after a day of anti-Israel threats and warnings from various factions of the global jihad (see: Iran to Israel: Don’t attack Lebanon).

One problem, though. The Star Tribune’s story is from August 2006.

UPDATE at 5/25/07 6:16:49 pm:

Here’s the BBC’s report from last August: Israeli commandos stage Tyre raid.

UPDATE at 5/25/07 6:44:48 pm:

Hey, that was pretty quick. It’s been pulled, after being visible on their page since 4:30 pm Minneapolis time.
