Mon, May 28, 2007 at 11:19:14 am PDT

That’s right, the left’s symbol of absolute moral authority is calling it quits. It’s over, Johnny.

In another whiny Daily Kos post suffering from egregious thesaurus abuse, Cindy Sheehan says her son died for nothing, the anti-war movement is full of egomaniacs and lunatics, and all her dreams have been shattered. Daily Kos: ‘Good Riddance Attention Whore’.

The most devastating conclusion that I reached this morning, however, was that Casey did indeed die for nothing. His precious lifeblood drained out in a country far away from his family who loves him, killed by his own country which is beholden to and run by a war machine that even controls what we think. I have tried every since he died to make his sacrifice meaningful. Casey died for a country which cares more about who will be the next American Idol than how many people will be killed in the next few months while Democrats and Republicans play politics with human lives. It is so painful to me to know that I bought into this system for so many years and Casey paid the price for that allegiance. I failed my boy and that hurts the most.

I have also tried to work within a peace movement that often puts personal egos above peace and human life. This group won’t work with that group; he won’t attend an event if she is going to be there; and why does Cindy Sheehan get all the attention anyway? It is hard to work for peace when the very movement that is named after it has so many divisions. ...

I am going to take whatever I have left and go home. I am going to go home and be a mother to my surviving children and try to regain some of what I have lost. I will try to maintain and nurture some very positive relationships that I have found in the journey that I was forced into when Casey died and try to repair some of the ones that have fallen apart since I began this single-minded crusade to try and change a paradigm that is now, I am afraid, carved in immovable, unbendable and rigidly mendacious marble.

Camp Casey has served its purpose. It’s for sale. Anyone want to buy five beautiful acres in Crawford , Texas ? I will consider any reasonable offer. I hear George Bush will be moving out soon, too...which makes the property even more valuable.

This is my resignation letter as the “face” of the American anti-war movement. This is not my “Checkers” moment, because I will never give up trying to help people in the world who are harmed by the empire of the good old US of A, but I am finished working in, or outside of this system. This system forcefully resists being helped and eats up the people who try to help it. I am getting out before it totally consumes me or anymore people that I love and the rest of my resources.

Good-bye America ...you are not the country that I love and I finally realized no matter how much I sacrifice, I can’t make you be that country unless you want it.

It’s up to you now.

On this Memorial Day, we honor Casey Sheehan’s sacrifice.

This is simply not true.

I only hope that she comes to see that fact before she dies.

Casey died for a country which cares more about who will be the next American Idol than how many people will be killed in the next few months while Democrats and Republicans play politics with human lives.

I think Casey died in the service of the country he loves, serving alongside fellow soldiers he was honored to serve with. Sadly, I think Momma Moonbat is right about American Idol being more important to a lot people than what Memorial Day represents, and she's right about the cold, callousness of many politicians. Mostly, this dingbat is whining because America isn't doing what she wants it to do. She can move to Venezuela, then. I'm sure her buddy Hugo will set her up nicely.

Ms. Sheehan,

I respect and honor your son's memory this Memorial Day.

While you choose to desecrate his memory, his service and sacrifice. Many Americans do not.

You ma'am, are not worthy of a Gold Star. yours is an accident of birth. You've never understood America or her Ideals, you've only been self aggrandizing on the grave of your son.

Good riddance.

Geez, I'm sorry folks, we've come across people in our lives and work who've "meaninglessly" lost children from malaria, from bad medical treatment, no medical treatment, riots, coups, and even Rwandans who lost ALL their children when they sent them back to the village, away from the city, believing they'd be safe there.
Not a one is as obnoxiously self-absorbed and phoney as that woman. They've carried their terrible sorrows graciously and soberly. It's a waste to feel sorry for the middle-aged Madame Sheehan who dresses like a child and parties like a spoiled socialite. Grief for her son is not what motivates her.

I gotta be honest here; I don't give a dead rat's butt what she believes. This woman is a jackal and as long as she leaves the USA we are the richer for it.
I assume that since America is NOT the country she loves that she will go somewhere (anywhere) else. While she sees that her beloved left is eating her alive- she will never realize that Casey, unlike his deranged mother, both lived and died for something important. But honestly, I don't care if she ever sees anything at all. I have grown to see her as a horrible example of what madness can produce.
I wouldn't be surprised to find out that she is also Markos' dam.

Sheehag's Gitmo bud.

Cindy Sheehan, whose son Casey was killed in Iraq while serving as a US soldier, and Ruhal Ahmed, who was taken from Afghanistan to Guantanamo Bay prison in a Hercules US military plane, for the purpose of torture, visited Shannon airport on 23 May 2007 in solidarity with local Irish peace activists.

Ruhal Ahmed's wiki:

Ruhal Ahmed is a British citizen. He was detained for over two years by the United States, first in Afghanistan, and then in Camp Delta, the American prison for suspects in the War on Terror, at its naval base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. His detainee ID number is 110.

Ahmed was released in March 2004.[1]

In August 2004 Ahmed, Shafiq Rasul and Asif Iqbal, all from Tipton, compiled a report on their alleged abuse and humiliation while in U.S. custody.[2] The 2006 film, The Road to Guantánamo is a docu-drama depicting their version of the story of their detention.

Main article: Tipton Three

During an interview, on Friday, 23rd, June, 2006, MSNBC spelt it as "Ruhel Ahmed".

Ruhal Ahmed has been refused a visa to visit Australia to promote The Road to Gauntanamo.

Just a British chap on vacation in TalibanLand who was illegally jailed by the torturing Americans yada yada.

A FOURTH suspected British member of the al-Qa'eda terrorist network was being questioned by MI6 agents in Afghanistan yesterday, as Downing Street said the United States might decide to send them to Britain for trial.

Ruhal Ahmed, 20 - who, like two fellow prisoners, comes from Tipton, West Midlands - was detained last week in the former Taliban stronghold of Kandahar after being tricked to leave a hospital believing he was to be handed over to the International Red Cross.

Instead, Ahmed was seized by United States special forces and passed to MI6 officers, who hoped to establish how extensive British links with al-Qa'eda were.

Last night, it was unclear in whose custody Ahmed was being held - British or American - and whether he would be transferred to the high-security United States prison at Camp X-Ray in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Ahmed was held several days before Afghan forces, supported by United States troops, stormed the hospital in Kandahar, killing six Arab al-Qa'eda fighters who were hiding inside during an 11-hour battle.

They are all for free speech until it starts to differ from their own.

Then they go balastic when anyone DARES to question them. How DARE THEY THINK DIFFERENTLY THAN ME ! I AM THE MOST MORAL !

So then what happens. They scream in frustration and start assuming "There is some grand conspiracy to silence me because everyone else would believe in me if they knew the truth ! (Hello to Noam Choamsky this is your M/O !)

SO the grand cabal runs things to silence the moral so the ultimate moral person has no chioce but to work to silence the critics.

That means closing down TV stations or anyone that disagrees.

How this woman could reach such a conclusion is beyond me. She readily, freely, and publicly criticizes her own country, and yet cannot see that Casey died for her right to do precisely that which she has done.

"There are none so blind as those who will not see."

79 6patrick6  Mon, May 28, 2007 11:58:49am

Casey Sheehan, and the others that have died in Iraq and Afghanistan, have not died "for nothing" as she states. Indeed, today we honor those that HAVE sacrificed and died for their country. Something Cindy Sheehan, the DUmmies, and the KKKosKids don't have a clue about.

This woman defined herself by her son's death. Had he not died, no one would have heard of her, a fact she never accepted. It happened with some 9/11 survivors too, and eventually, inevitably, it leads to a dissolution of the self.

The woman was only too happy to bask in the adulation of the anti-USA movement until she was overshadowed by fresher, shriller victims. Now she pouts, but the moving finger writes, and having writ moves on...

RIP Casey, you deserved better.

The Landmark Aviation terminal (FIRST PHOTO) at the Washington (DC) Dulles International Airport (code: IAD) is the place these batty hellions fly out of. It is open to the public to mingle with the CIA agents.

It would be well worth your time to drive out to the building across from National Car Rental and check it out. Bring along an aviation-band radio and the list of planes at the end (get the current tail numbers from Google first).

If you have been to National Car Rental at Dulles, you have been across the street from Landmark and some of the baddest boys on the planet. The CIA employs guys who kidnap people in foreign countries (rendition them) for torture [Link: www.conspiracyplanet.com...] people who blow up civilian airliners [Link: www.escambray.cu...] (killed 73), and the like. You can meet these types and their CIA "handlers" (managers) at the reception desk at Landmark Aviation (SECOND PHOTO).

Newsbusters has an interesting take on C. Sheehan's exit from the "peace movement" (temporary, of course, as it will be...)

Yet, Google News and LexisNexis searches have identified that not one major media outlet has covered her announcement.

Not one.

Does this suggest that the media’s antiwar proclivities are only important when they shed a negative light on the Administration and Republicans, but not when events such as this speak poorly about Democrats?

Uhhh... yes?

Worthless though any single sentiment of Mama Moonbat's expressed in this farewell may be, it is a valuable insight into the "peace" movement, in general.

She was the movement's dope de jour, and she went into it expecting it to live up to its moniker. What she found was the reality that it is a business, and a particularly dishonest and cutthroat one, at that. Tammy Bruce had the very same experience with the business of feminism. The difference between Mama Moonbat and Tammy, is that Tammy got a clue.

All of this goes to prove an even bigger point, liberals do not have the stomach for long, protracted conflicts. Hell they can't even stick to their anti-war campaign long enough to succeed so why should they be allowed to dictate the conditions under which we should fight a real war? I wonder where she will redeploy to? Maybe Okinawa as Murtha suggest? If she admits defeat does this mean the pro war groups win? This creates a terrible disturbance in the force.

I so agree with savage, the bronze, and all those here who predict that Cindy's departure has been prematurely celebrated - everytime someone stamps, speechifies, and slams the door shouting "you won't see ME again"... aren't they always the first ones to come back?

But however long this lasts, I won't miss that bitter, angry face, with hate-America-lines marring any of the 'original face' (as they say in Eastern spirituality) she was born with.

I wonder why the far left so often have that hideous attitude affecting their appearance... the kind of ugliness that doesn't depend on one's features. I worked for so many Republican & conservative campaigns during my adult life in NY (i'm a granma now) and whenever a company of leftists came bearing down on us, bearing spitballs & vitriol, taking our literature and ripping it up, we could recognize their political sympathies by their expressions.

A larger proportion of the righties seem more visibly at peace with themselves, their families and friends, their country and their lives - even when under the greatest of personal pressures, or crises.

Casey died for a country which cares more about who will be the next American Idol than how many people will be killed in the next few months while Democrats and Republicans play politics with human lives.

A) The country cares about AI more than the deaths of soldiers: True (mostly). This is what our soldiers FOUGHT FOR, that the rest of us can be free to enjoy our lives even for stupid tv shows. And if anyone gets it, the soldiers do. They know damn well that thier service allows me to be fat, dumb and happy. The irony (if that is the right word for it) IS NOT lost on them. They fight so we don't have to. And they know it. Nuff Said.

2) D's and R's play politics, even with lives: True. Welcome to the world of grown-ups. Mr. Smith doesn't Go To Washington any more. That was a movie. Politicians play politics. It's what they do. Sometimes lives are lost in the process. Sad, but it was always this way. This is human history, not some terrible, evil, plot of USA or its government.

I agree, I have always noticed this. It seems that conservatives always are more at peace and take care of themselves. They tend to be more successful in life and have not run into trouble with the law. The leftists seem to be the ones that are angry and have let themselves go, thus are not always pleasant to look at and deal with. The leftists also seem to be the ones that have not historically taken personal responsibility for their actions. Then, they blame others when it's time to pay the piper.

I am amazed how deeply she is brainwashed. How did it happen? When did it happen? Imagine if she devoted all this energy to actually honoring her son and helping her own country! Instead, she tries to dismantle the only country in the world that has an ability to protect democracy and freedom.
I guess her family never experienced gulags, concentration camps, forced labor, summary executions, reeducation camps, show trials – the marxist-leninist/national socialism heaven she admires so much - to know the true value of freedom.

God bless America!

123 Just_A_Grunt  Mon, May 28, 2007 12:15:41pm

Casey may have joined the Army for the very reasons given for despising his mom. It will not be the first time somebody did that to distance themselves from their family. Whatever his reasons for joining were initially, I am sure there were far different reasons for his reenlisting and deciding to stay in.
His mother brought get discredit upon her son and his actions. Cindy, your son died respoonding to the call of another group of soldiers who were in trouble. By his death others lived, and for those that survived because of his sacrifice you have laid the biggest guilt trip of all time upon them. I will bet there isn't a day that goes by when any of them would not wish to have traded places with Casey in light of what became of his legacy. I will never let you forget that and I will never forget that Casey ran to the sound of gunsfire rather then away from it. He sacrificed so others may live.

After reading her piece, I hurt for her.

I think we can drop any allegations that she is a pawn of the Left/Libs/peaceniks/etc. She may have been, but she has rather fully renounced that, albeit in a slightly "sour grapes" sort of way.

As long as she stays out of the media, I think we should show her the repect of NOT referring to her as mama moonbat. In her private life, she is simply one more grieving mother.

If she had taken up gambling or drinking as a result of Casey's death, with the consequence of time lost from her other children, divorce, health problems, and financial ruin, we would recognize her behavior for the addiction that it is. Whether she is an attention addict or a grief addict, I'll leave for more neutral heads to consider. It's just sad to see so many other lives destroyed besides Casey's.

I hope she disses Hugo too.

To the extent that Americans care more about American idol than freedom, patriotism, and America's role in the world, she is right. But you can't blame GWB for that.

Mrs. Sheehan, please drop the "war based on lies" meme. It's untrue, politically charged, irrelevant at this stage, and plays into the BDS mindset. If you want traction with your ideas, lose the "Bush lied" talk.

I hope as the years pass, you will be able to remember Casey as a great American who loved his country and its ideals, and was willing to sacrifice his own life in defense of them. Think about your grandchildren (Casey's nieces and nephews) - how do you want Casey to be known by them?

Finally, Cindy, I pray you will be able to move beyond your bitterness. There are mothers who have lost children to drugs, depression, and autoerotic asphyxiation. Surely Casey died for nobler purposes than those? I am certain he would not want you suffering as you are. For his sake, and his memory, please, find joy in life again.

That sums up the Cindy's and left pretty well.

The liberal, PC, BS MSM, part of America is not what I love. I just returned from a small town Memorial Day parade with standing ovations for the marching veterans who served in various capacities -- one friend entered service at the end WWII at age 14, served in the Korean War, Viet Nam, and beyond. He barely broke a sweat and at age 76 still fit into his Green Beret uniform with room to spare. Last year he marched in 90 degree sun while ill, and never complained. It was a great cleanser to use upon the constant anti-American liberal communist BS that is dumped on us daily.

Thanks to Casey for his service and sacrifice, and Cindy I am truely sorry you lost your son. However, Cindy, you are a moronic disgrace to your country.

However, the experience of the human race over time is that this is not going to happen in any hurry. Barbra Streisand cancels Rome concert

Last week, consumer groups Codacons and Adusbef protested as "absurd and shameful" ticket prices ranging from just under $200 to more than $1,200, calling on authorities to deny Streisand use of the 24,000-seat stadium.

The stadium "is public property and cannot be used for immoral deals that are shameful to a civilized country," the groups said in a statement.

Concert organizers indicated the decision was not connected to the outcry, saying that production delays had forced them to scrap the June 15 concert in the capital's Stadio Flaminio, what would have been the singer's first concert in Italy and the start of her European tour.

"We met with unexpected production delays," said a statement by tour promoter Michael Cohl posted on the Web site of Milano Concerti, the Italian organizer of the event.

I will make one comment on the substance of her diatribe. America is not everything for everybody, it is just not like that.

We all find our own way, and we make our own America. "America" is the framework, if you will, the freedom, the opportunity, the family.

There will never be a perfect America, even as it continues towards the inevitable socialist nanny-state. Can't she see that from the example of the Europeans? Talk about losing their way. Not all have, but the nihlism is sometimes stifling, something not completely overshadowing America's spirit like it has the continent.

As TomP says, you don't have to be the face of the anti-war movement. You can just be you.

There is a time for outrage and a time for solace, a time for public protest and a time for gathering your family and friends about you to reclaim your own privacy and peace of mind.

Others will stand up and speak out, inspired by your example. The fight against this unjust war will continue, and will prevail. And when the final chapter is written, those who prevailed for peace will have stood on the shoulders of giants -- giants such as you.

What's with the left's Messiah Complex...

The republicans are pathetic and are going to keep getting their ass handed to them in elections they should be stomping the hell out of the lefties on. That's the messed up part of it: The republicans has done this to themselves and the rest of us.

Democrats are not the answer, of course. We here all know that and those idiots are emboldened because of their victories and contribute it to their popularity rather than the failures of republicans to be actual conservatives.

I see major losses in 2008 as well. Bush has damaged the republican party in a big way.

dear pro-bush, RedWhite, & Red Girl -

I think you all hit on the truth - it's the vital life connections that are missing, flawed or frayed, sadly, in the group that I specify. The life giving connections can be those on the spiritual level, the mental level, or the physical level; as we said, to a Higher Power, to a partner, to family or country. What's left is a hatred that cycles back to self, and is harmful inside and reflected outside.

It's heartbreaking to watch. Thanks for your responses!

I just feel she's so mad at the Democrats for not carrying her water, that she'll do anything to get back at them.
It's going to be "Boo hoo, they used me at my weakest moment."
I'm just sayin'.

Actually, it's more likely that she will become virulently anti-semitic. She criticizes the Left, but makes it clear she sees the US as the enemy. Let's not forget she met with KKKers in Crawford, and has made comments about the Iraq war being fought on behalf of Israel.

It's like she's indignant because the nation didn't stop what it was doing and immediately followed her self-righteous instructions on how to act.

So "America" refused to be guided by her, so she's taking her ball and going home. Maybe most Americans didn't agree with her, but no...

Having flirted with the Left in my youth, I saw this up close and vividly. Stalinists, like their Islamist allies, tolerate nothing short of 100% compliance. That's why Islamists are happy to fight Shiite versus Sunni when there are no easy infidel targets around.

Sure, we are a nation of immigrants. Well, we're a nation built on the backs of slaves to some folks...

But Bush is trying to sell his amnesty program by using the typical liberal view of "this nation is made of immigrants and we should allow all who want in to go ahead and come in.

Of course, how many entitlement programs were there in the colonial era? What about in the industrial age?

Immigrants pay little to no taxes and are a huge strain on the system. Who foots this bill?

Part of being a parent is supporting your children's dreams, even if they are not the ones you would have chosen for them. I may dislike Bush, but certainly not because I'm a Cindy supporter.

Bush is a terrible republican. He has expanded government to the biggest ever, allows immigrants to flood in unchecked, and pays lip service for things conservatives stand for.

I give him good scores for his supreme court justices, but he almost screwed that up by offering up Miers.

The free trade deal with Korea is a good thing as well.

"We are a nation of immigrants".

True. However, the frustration comes in when that phrase is used to justify amnesty, or to welcome the people that come here for the easily-obtained benefits and refuse to assimilate. Or to welcome the ones that come here to give birth for free at our hospitals to gain a foothold.

Yes, let's keep immigration on the burner, but let's demand accountability, such as paying taxes from day one, and learning English within a year or less. It is a privilege to become a citizen of this country, not a right.

Now that we've agreed that the statement "We're all immigrants" isn't "B.S.", I disagree that Bush has a "let anyone and everyone come on in, no questions asked" policy.

And I'm rather surprised that Republicans would find it strange that a Republican President would want to preserve the supply of cheap labor to American business that immigrants represent.

The strain on hospitals and schools is mainly a local or state issue, not a federal one, since illegal immigrants can't avail themselves of federal benefits like Medicaid or AFDC, etc. So it isn't any real wonder that the interests of business would trump the burden on individual cities and states.

What I don't like about that phrase, is that it completely ignores the "illegal" part about the immigration that we're concerned about right now. Sure, almost everyone here is an immigrant or descendants of immigrants, but I bet most of our descendants came here legally. I know mine did.

[Link: news.yahoo.com...]

Iran gas price hike said shows weakness By SEBASTIAN ABBOT, Associated Press Writer

CAIRO, Egypt - Iran's decision to raise gasoline prices has thrown new light on one of its most entrenched problems — the danger a vulnerable, subsidized economy poses for a country under international pressure over its nuclear program.

Experts warn of the popular backlash that other countries have faced when dealing with the same need to raise long-subsidized staple prices, including in Indonesia which saw a wave of protests in 2005. At the same time, they doubt the 25 percent price hike imposed last week on Iran's gasoline will do much, on its own, to solve the country's underlying economic problems.

Still nice to see the lefties shooting at each other. If those on the left were ever to grow up, political discourse in the US would improve significantly and government might actually be able to get something positive accomplished rather than having to cobble legislation together that, at best gets it only half right due to the unbending dogma of those on the left (think Social Security).

I read the complete text of Sheehan’s swan song and I must admit I was impressed by it. She does not come across as a wide-eyed, America hating anarchist’s which are the backbone of the so-called ‘peace movement’.

Upper-most was the fact that it took her 2 years before she realized that she was being used by a “movement that often puts personal egos above peace and human life”.

They wined and dined her and sent her all over the world to be seen rubbing elbows with various dictators, but as soon as they felt she was no longer useful, they unceremoniously spit her out like a bad chaw of tobacco.

So, let this be a warning to others who might be thinking of emulating Sheehan. If you go into the ‘peace movement’ be sure to tell them the brand of your favorite chewing tobacco.

See the MSM spin"

Drudge uses this line to lead the story:

U.S., Iran Reach Iraq Policy Consensus...
Yahoo runs this line:
Iran, U.S. to hold more talks within month, which is nonsense. The Iranian offical told reporters Iran would like to meet again in amonth, while the US response was,

"We don't have a formal invitation to respond to just yet, so it doesn't make sense to respond to what we don't have," Crocker told reporters after the meeting.

but The National Post sees it differently,

U.S. tells Iran to stop backing Iraq militias,

"The talks proceeded positively. What we need to see is Iranian action on the ground," Ryan Crocker, the U.S. ambassador to Iraq, told reporters. "Right now their actions are running at crossed purposes to their stated policy."

There was no immediate comment from the Iranian team led by Hassan Kazemi-Qomi, Iran's ambassador to Iraq. Crocker and Kazemi-Qomi met at the Iraqi prime minister's office, and shook hands before sitting across the table from each other.

"I laid out before the Iranians a number of our direct, specific concerns about their behavior in Iraq, their support for militias that are fighting both the Iraqi security forces and coalition forces," Crocker said.

"The fact (is) that a lot of the explosives and ammunitions that are used by these groups are coming in from Iran ... Such activities ... need to cease and ... we would be looking for results," he added.

Crocker said the Iranian delegation did not respond directly to the charges other than to express support for the Iraqi government of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki.

I could go on, but you get the idea. The left-liberal media are quoting Iranian officials to spin their position (the US must engage Iran to find a solution to Iraq), but when one examines the actual content of the meeting, quite a different message was delivered to the Iranians,

This is about actions not just principles, and I laid out to the Iranians direct, specific concerns about their behavior in Iraq and their support for militias that are fighting Iraqi and coalition forces," Crocker told a Green Zone news conference.

Meanwhile in Iraq, the US military continued raids on Shia militias, Bush & European leaders call for tougher sanctions on Iran & 2 US aircraft carriers cruise the Persian Gulf.

There is no 'absolute moral authority' that allows the cart-blanch destruction of her sons memory and sacrifice, as well as the memory of those who fell with him. The pain and anguish she has caused other families of fallen Soldiers is unforgivable in my opinion, but the right and decision to forgive belongs to those families.

She has become that which her son bravely fought against and died for... evil.

May Casey rest in peace...

And for his sake only, his mother seeks some redemption for all the pain she has intentionally inflicted on others... but I fear her soul is beyond that, and her place in hell is secure.

229 Mr Pancakes  Mon, May 28, 2007 2:08:04pm

Wow... a great internet meltdown... best I've ever seen.

Let's review

The Demonrats took control of the Congress last year... at the end of the day all they can do is lick Bush's boots... Libs get really mad.

Chavez shows his true colors this weekend and the Libs see just how much he is everything they espouse against... Libs get really mad.

The "Attention Whore" Cindy Seahag comes to the conclusion that her son died for nothing... sad... then leaves the Demonrat party... Libs get really mad.

Waiting for the next installment... rubbing my hands with glee.

Why don't I believe this is the last we've heard from her?

With any luck Michael Moore will make the same proclamation... I swear if these two had one more brain cell between them it would die of loneliness.

230 edr  Mon, May 28, 2007 2:15:08pm

Hmmm.

Perhaps now Mother Sheehan will have enough time to put a headstone on her son's grave.

Seeing that she's now so concerned about her son's blood that is.

I usually have a lot of contempt for people, which is well deserved, but Cindy Sheehand is on a whole new level all by herself.

Mamma moonbat wont be gone for that long. She needs the limelight at this point. She will merge with the other far lefties to create a new political party. The anti war party or some nonsence like that. Maybe she will become buddy buddy with the anarchists. Who the heck knows.

Im glad that the house voted the way they did last week. Finally some good thinking is shown.

233 Pickle  Mon, May 28, 2007 2:24:11pm
The most devastating conclusion that I reached this morning, however, was that Casey did indeed die for nothing.

Just this morning? You've been saying that for years, hag.

His precious lifeblood drained out in a country far away from his family who loves him,

You don't love Casey Sheehan and never did, hag. You spat on his service while he was alive, and after he died you didn't lose a step; you just went right on hating the service and the nation he loved so much he gave his life for it. His death obviously meant NOTHING to you beyond the celebrity podium it gave you from which you could continue insulting his country, his mission, and him. Hag.

killed by his own country which is beholden to and run by a war machine that even controls what we think.

(Jews.)

I have tried every since he died to make his sacrifice meaningful.

You've been trying, since before and after he died, to insult him and the cause he fought and died for. You've called his fellow soldiers terrorists. You've hailed the enemy that killed him as heroes and freedom fighters. You spit on your son every single day, you miserable sow, and I honestly hope you don't stop, because through your lunatic rants you've done more for your intellectual opponents than they could ever hope to accomplish themselves.

Casey died for a country which cares more about who will be the next American Idol than how many people will be killed in the next few months while Democrats and Republicans play politics with human lives.

Talk about projection. How many human lives would have been lost already if this witch got her way and we abandoned Iraq and Afghanistan to their fates?

It is so painful to me to know that I bought into this system for so many years and Casey paid the price for that allegiance. I failed my boy and that hurts the most.

Anyone who believes you were ever acting in the name of your "boy" (and you continue to insult this brave man by calling him that) is a bigger tool than even you are. (I'm lookin' at you, Sean Hannity.)

I can't stomach parsing this retarded missive beyond the first demented paragraph, but I can't let this one last sentence go by...

Good-bye America ...

FOAD, from a Canadian.

".. Casey did indeed die for nothing.."

That's a lie. What's true is that Mama Moonbat lives for and values absolutely nothing of importance.

235 kevinmumaw  Mon, May 28, 2007 2:47:11pm
Camp Casey has served its purpose. It’s for sale. Anyone want to buy five beautiful acres in Crawford , Texas ? I will consider any reasonable offer. I hear George Bush will be moving out soon, too...which makes the property even more valuable.

This may be a rhetorical question, but is she really that stupid? Surely she must ne aware that the ranch in Crawford is owned by George and Laura Bush. It isn't government property that gets used by every president. Of course, she is that stupid. I know.

And she is quitting her silly crusade about as much as Hillary is not running for president in 08.

I am going to take whatever I have left and go home. I am going to go home and be a mother to my surviving children and try to regain some of what I have lost.

Such a shame that it took her this many years to realize that she has other children. Hopefully, they are willing to have her in their lives after she pushed them away like that.

I'd feel pity for her, but that was used up a while back. Hopefully her children are more forgiving.

We have all, us women, been called that. Sometimes by our husbands, sometimes our fathers, sometimes it is our community and sometimes our country. Alot of times, it is our own girlfriends and sisters, even our mothers.

Ahem... Maybe YOU have, but most of us HAVEN'T been called whores, thank you very much!

239 Jon Carry  Mon, May 28, 2007 3:00:34pm

Honestly, we are being too hard on this woman. She may have lashed out in grief. She may have been naive in those who she wanted to accept her. But now she knows. She has seen the evil of the Left. She has a long way to go for recovery.
But her son can lead her.
I pray for her.

240 deanayer  Mon, May 28, 2007 3:09:18pm

Will she please carve this "I quit" message in mendacious marble so I have an ironclad guarantee that I will never have to hear from her again?

I love how she dimes out the prima donnas within all those screwball lefty organizations she

worked with. Its nice to get that backstage glimpse and see what an ego-driven flea circus it really is.

Maybe now she can buy a head stone for Casey and go home to see if any of her remaining kids recognize her.

She really made the left look stupid and and was such a total patsy and dupe that it quickly degenerated to the same plane as watching lindsay lohan go from one club to the next rehab to the next car crash etc.

I guess she peaked after Chavez and short of lighting her self on fire she had nothing more to offer.

"Honestly, we are being too hard on this woman."

What, we are too hard on her? What are you thinking? This woman is the enemy. She has helped kill our servicemen by aiding and comforting the enemy. If she and here ilk prevail they will get many more of us (and not just our soldiers) killed and the rest of us enslaved to Islam. She is just as dangerous as the guy with the Semtex belt or the raving death cult jihadi with an AK-47, only more insidious!

It looks like, in some twisted, shallow, one-dimensional way, she's come to the realization that evil truly exists. Too bad she doesn't see that the true face of evil is not, as she still believes, the USA, but rather, those who would destroy it. Her son's death is regretable; her life is more so.

TO BE A LIBERAL

To be a bona-fide card-carrying liberal, there are certain beliefs you must subscribe to:

You have to believe the AIDS virus is spread by a lack of funding.

You have to believe that the same overpaid public school idiot who can't teach 4th graders how to read is qualified to teach those same kids about sex.

You have to believe that guns in the hands of law-abiding Americans are more of a threat than nuclear weapons in the hands of the Red Chinese.

You have to believe there was no art before federal funding.

You have to believe that businesses create oppression and governments create prosperity.

You have to believe that hunters don't care about nature, but pasty, loony activists who've never been outside Seattle do.

You have to believe that self-esteem is more important than actually doing something to earn it.

You have to believe the military, not corrupt politicians, start wars.

You have to believe the free market that gives us 500+ channels can't deliver the quality that PBS does.

You have to believe the NRA is bad, because they stand up for certain parts of the Constitution, while the ACLU is good, because they stand up for certain parts of the Constitution.

You have to believe that taxes are too low, but ATM fees are too high.

You have to believe that Harriet Tubman, Cesar Chavez and Gloria Steinem are more important to American history than Thomas Jefferson or Thomas Edison.

You have to believe that the only reason socialism hasn't worked anywhere it's been tried, is because the right people haven't been in charge.

If THIS is not the country she loves... then what country is?

Goes along with the whole "Dude, where's my country?" bumper sticker thing...

I mean... what country are they looking for? I feel like we've never actually been closer to the Socialist Ideal than we are now. With a pathetically small armed forces, more entitlements than ever, and a good proletariat walking in from the south non-stop... what country are they "remembering"?

'Unfit' is way too kind.

And I have a feeling she would have done it without a second thought. IIRC, Casey had enlisted to get away from her. He died a hero, and would be so hurt by her actions. Did she even, for a nanosecond, give a thought to what Casey would have thought of her? But I guess she already knew.

This seems appropriate to end Memorial Day, 2007. Casey Sheehan has surely earned it, though I can't say the same for his mother:

Lincoln’s Letter to Mrs. Bixby

(1864)

Executive Mansion, Washington, November 21, 1864.

Mrs. Bixby, Boston, Massachusetts:
DEAR MADAM: I have been shown in the files of the War Department a statement of the Adjutant-General of Massachusetts that you are the mother of five sons who have died gloriously on the field of battle. I feel how weak and fruitless must be any words of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering to you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save. I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.
Yours very sincerely and respectfully,

Abraham Lincoln.

The most devastating conclusion that I reached this morning, however, was that Casey did indeed die for nothing.

My god...it's horrifying that a mother would speak so of her son's death in battle.

I know Cindy Sheehan will never read this, but since it's Memorial Day (well, almost), here's what her son died for:

* The removal of a brutal dictator. Saddam and his henchmen are no longer raping, torturing or murdering their own people.

* The removal of a key state sponsor of terrorism. Saddam was paying $25,000 to the family of each "suicide" bomber who blew himself or herself up in Israel. As a result, fewer Israeli mothers and fathers have had to bury their own children over the last four years.

* Bringing the first hints of real democracy and real freedom to the Iraqi people, who have suffered under the heels of a tyrant for decades. This is something that we take for granted, but they have never had.

* The possibility that other peoples in the Muslim world may also come to live in freedom, and the peace and prosperity that democracy can bring. The first fruits of this effort are starting to grown in Lebanon. Who knows where the light will spread next?

The peace movement for which Cindy Sheehan has fronted for so long want America to think that Casey Sheehan died for nothing. Some of us know better.

What a shame that Casey's own mother can't see it.

275 derek  Tue, May 29, 2007 5:20:23am
On this Memorial Day, even though I criticized Cindy and called her Sheehag before, and still probably will later, I would still salute her, no matter what she said. She did give birth to Casey, and he gave his life for her right to say anything she wants.

As much as I want to agree with you, this simply isn't true.

Casey, and the other Americans who died in Iraq did not die for our freedom - they died for the freedom of Iraqis.

It is evident that it never occured to Mama Moonbat that her son Casey died for what he believed in. What a shame she has disgraced her son so thoroughly, and in so doing has completely unraveled her own life. She is reaping what she has sown.

#267 Are you kidding? Rather, Brokaw and Pelosi in the first 3 minutes of the Star Wars Legacy telling us what all the gibberish really means? I gagged and floated off to watch Sopranos re-runs. The whole Star Wars bit has become a hallowed legend grist for the Left Coast-Carbon Footprint-iMAc-Takes-A-Village crowd...yecch.
And the last thing they want to comment on was that what Lucas was really doing was in step with the coming 80s...entreprenuership! Making a load of money and doing it your own way.
