New Film: The Making of a Martyr

Fri, Jun 1, 2007 at 12:31:56 pm PDT

Film maker Brooke Goldstein traveled to the West Bank and filmed more than five hours of interviews with terrorists and their brainwashed children. She went into it believing the situation had been exaggerated—but found it was worse than she could have imagined: Recruited To Die.

As the group walked through the town, they spoke to Palestinian Arab children in schools and on the street. “Our fixer was encouraging us to speak with the children. I think I’d always, deep down, had a hard time thinking the problem was really that bad. I thought maybe it was a lunatic fringe,” she said.

In fact, the fanaticism was worse than she ever imagined. “The most shocking thing was reconciling the normal appearance of these kids and what was coming out of their mouths,” she said. “I was holding these beautiful children in my lap, and my translator was translating words of hate.”

The story was always the same. “No child ever said, ‘I don’t want to be a martyr.’ They talked about fame, paradise, virgins, and Ferris wheels [after death]. They were happy to tell me they hated Jews,” she said.

The children were more fanatical than their parents. “When we interviewed Hussam’s family for the film, his parents were distraught. They don’t believe in this whole child suicide bomber concept,” Ms. Goldstein said. “Then I interviewed his sister, who was like, ‘I’m so proud of my brother. Hamas says he’s a hero.’ At one point she had a loser, dwarf, mentally handicapped brother. Now she’s the coolest girl in class, and very proud.”

In addition to the children, Ms. Goldstein interviewed Mr. Zubeidah, commander of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades in Jenin. At the time, the Israel Defense Forces had made five attempts to assassinate him. In person, Mr. Zubeidah was not the harsh figure she had expected. “It was like talking to any other kid, about 27 years old,” she said. “He was smiling. My translator told me, ‘He’s talking about killing Jews.’”

“The Making of a Martyr” is being shown at the Brooklyn International Film Festival on Saturday and Tuesday.

I think there's a great deal of insight in those two sentences, relating to more than just this one family.

Isn't this what we've known all along? The MSM have been pretending this isn't true, but wonder where the bombers come from.

Wow. Definitely one of the most distressing elements of the entire Arab-Israeli conflict is this precise issue. Even though she is organizing a group of international experts on it-I don't think it will do much good. I think that the death-cult/martyr brainwashing of children will be with us for a long time-because nobody currently has the resolve to smash it out of the culture-unlike in the post-WWII period with Imperial Japan and Nazi Germany.

Eventually, we will have to deal with what these children have become. Entire generations of monsters thinking they are doing God's work. When it comes down to it, its the parents and culture which have destroyed these children. For us, it will be a matter of self defense.

Human behavior is mutable and although everyone has a choice and can make it for the good, not everyone is equally strong.

Yet this "educated" law student had to go to and talk to the children direct before she could allow herself to believe the evidence which was before her, had she been willing to look at it, before she left.

Think about it. She's a New York Gen-Xer. I'm three years older than her and when I was in middle school, they were already starting to teach us that Islam = ROP/Muslims Respect "People of the Book"/Don't be Ethnocentric garbage. She grew up on one of the Left Coasts and probably didn't pay any attention to this sort of thing until college.

I'm glad she found the truth. She ain't the only kid being Educated Stupid in this country by any means.

It's something to think of the power, charisma, and the sheer deception by the anti-Christ, to get a "peace deal" signed between the Arab/Muslim world, and Israel.

As history has pre-revealed, the anti-Christ shares the same ideology of deception, that Islam does.

I suppose the Arab/Muslim world will have to fall under some kind of "trance" from the anti-Christ, and some by his force, in order for them to sign a "peace treaty" which is supposed to last 7 years.

The power of evil will get it started, and The Power of Goodness, will finish it.

Also -

The only reason I survived the mental death trap of educational Multiculturalism is because of a copy of James Michener's "Caravans" I found downstairs when I was ten. That was the first time I encountered the term "mullah". With enough careful reading of newspapers, I had developed a rough concept of Jihad and Islamic Supremacism by my very early teens. I knew these people were going to be a problem years before any of my peers could find Afghanistan on a map. I watched and read in dismay as these bastards pecked away at us through the Clinton years while Bill played hide-the-cigar-in-the-Jewess, and in the end, September 11th did not come as a surprise to me. Shock yes, surprise no.

Unfortunately I am an exception. I know at least one NYC resident and direct eyewitness to September 11th who just doesn't want to hear about Jihad because "it makes her scared".

Foomp, goes the head in the sand.

Re: The brainwashing of these children...

At that time the disciples came to Jesus and said, "Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?" And He called a child to Himself and set him before them, and said, "Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever then humbles himself as this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever receives one such child in My name receives Me; but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a heavy millstone hung around his neck, and to be drowned in the depth of the sea."

"Woe to the world because of its stumbling blocks! For it is inevitable that stumbling blocks come; but woe to that man through whom the stumbling block comes!"

By not objectively reporting Palestinian child abuse the MSN supports and enables evil. Nuance. Moral relativism. Spin. Rationalization. They can call it what they want but by enabling irrational evil behaviour they are prolonging the madness that creates suffering for innocent people on both sides. How many Palestinians would have died if they were not carrying, or been close to those who were carrying, arms, rockets or bombs? No MSM media report will ever seriously and objectively tackle this topic. How many millions of muslims have been killed by other muslims compared to the relatively small number killed by Israel? Again, no takers in the MSN. Has the MSN heard about who is causing the genocide in Darfur? Two and half million non-muslim people can be displaced and more than 200,000 non-muslims murdered and the MSN has not have used enough ink to float a kayak in describing the murders as muslims. Precision kill half a dozen muslim terrorists and the MSN spills enough ink to float an aircraft carrier.

Now 26, Ms. Goldstein, who finished law school in 2005, is setting up an international think tank of attorneys, psychiatrists, and policy makers to address the problem of recruiting children for terror. "It's a problem everyone should be concerned about," she said. "There are child suicide bombers now in Iraq and Afghanistan. And it's being orchestrated by adults."

Malaysia Sun: Naseer's 'Shoot on Sight' kicks off in London

Veteran Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah's next film 'Shoot on Sight' about the July 7, 2005 bombings in London has gone on the floor with Jagmohan Mundhra wielding the megaphone for this reality-based movie.

'Our film storyline is based on Scotland Yard's order to shoot suspicious Muslim terrorists after the July 7, 2005 London bombing. It highlights the predicament of the predominantly peace loving Muslims in the face of Islamic extremism,' said producer Aron Govil in a press release.

Naseer plays the lead role of Tariq Ali, a Muslim police officer of Scotland Yard, who's asked to hunt down suspected suicide-bombers involved in the July 7 attacks.

Tariq's task gets complicated when the commando shooters of Scotland Yard kill an innocent Muslim. It is further complicated when Lahore-born Tariq, who is a British citizen married to an English woman, becomes a suspect in the eyes of his colleagues, despite his long service.

Yes-it is a fact that mentally handicapped people have been more 'encouraged' than others to take this route to Allah. It redeems them. Remember in the summer, there were disabled children moved into a building in Lebanon that was full of weaponry that Israel was expected to target. That was done on purpose.

The use of mentally handicapped people, and physically disabled people is also being orchestrated in Afghanistan.

Doesn't it seem odd that when there is Sudden Jihadi Syndrome in America-the claims are that the person is not mentally well, or mentally challenged-but in the Middle East, the disabled are purposely recruited for the purpose.

It's all sick, sick stuff.

Disgusting:

Hodes foresees ‘horrible’ summer in Iraq

HUDSON – Newly elected U.S. Rep. Paul Hodes, D-N.H., voted against the latest Iraq war spending bill because it gives another “blank check to the president,” and he predicts a “horrible” summer ahead for American fighting men and women.

“We have created a horrendous mess (in Iraq),” Hodes told The Telegraph editorial board Thursday. “Now we have to get out of it.”

Hodes and 141 of his fellow representatives voted against the spending bill, which President Bush signed into law last week.

“I just couldn’t vote for . . . another blank check for the president,” he said, adding that the passed measure was too weak to force a new direction in Iraq.

The measure allows President Bush to maintain authority over war funds, regardless of how the government in Baghdad performs.Hodes, who was swept into office last fall on a platform of withdrawal from Iraq, instead supported two failed bills that sought to tie the war money to specific timelines for U.S. troop redeployments.

The passed measure doesn’t end debate on the administration’s war policy, which Hodes said would heat up again this fall.

“This is not the end of the story,” said Hodes.

This September, the House and Senate will debate war funding for 2008, probably sometime after Iraq war commander Gen. David Petraeus reports to Congress the progress of Bush’s troop buildup plan.

Hodes said the “insurgency is escalating” to match the surge of U.S. soldiers into Iraq, and this summer “is going to be horrible.”

This pos is probably right, it is going to be a horrible summer; but only because fifth columnists and quislings like him work night and day to assure the terrorists that their atrocities will have the desired effect in the media and in Washington.
As for the insurgency "escalating" that is an amazingly disengenuous characterization of recent events, completely reversing the truth about who has the initiative. It is our decision to bring the terrorists to battle and it is working. They are more active because they are forced to be, not because they have the option.

So their schools indoctrinate the children to be murderers and jihadists.

While our schools indoctrinate the children to be tolerant and multi-cultural.

So who do you think will win, and who will lose in the battle to come?

Well, I rather hope we'll win. I mean, seeing how I don't like the thought of becoming a rock-worshipper, or of having to wear a yellow f'ng turban.

Optimistically, we've got science and technology. They've got fanaticism, a 7th c. mindset and enough money coming out of the ground to pay foreigners to come and extract it for them, and then pay for "educating" these proto-jihadniks. I dare hope that the facade is crumbling: as this Muhammedism thing gets more and more exposure, it can not help but show its true face. As truth comes out, the civilized world will gain the will to fight. Then, if the infinite money from oil thing collapses, either because we come up with a new fuel and source of raw molecules, or simply because the oil wells go dry...

At least, I hope so. Because otherwise, really, even a nice .45 with glowy night sights will do one man only so much good.

Eventually, we will have to deal with what these children have become. Entire generations of monsters thinking they are doing God's work. When it comes down to it, its the parents and culture which have destroyed these children. For us, it will be a matter of self defense.

If, God forbid, they manage to destroy Israel, the other Arabs will exterminate them themselves. It will be tempting to use these monsters as a weapon, but I'm not sure that it will be possible to channel all their hate toward subjugating new infidels, and I think it likely that they will be eliminated as unmanagable and dangerous, as the janizaries were. The Arab world does not concern itself with what the bleeding hearts have to say -- witness these same Paleostinians in Kuwait after the first Gulf war.

Google Hussam Abdu or alternately Hassam Abdo. He came up to a checkpoint wearing a suicide vest; the Israeli soldiers had him cut the vest off. At first he was talking about the virgins a martyr gets; then he said he didn't want to die. The Israelis held a press conference denouncing suicide-children, at that point his parents complained Israel was putting a developmentally disabled boy on display.

(In a different article I found this: "Hassam’s mother, whom I track down in the militant stronghold of Nablus, says she is proud of what her son tried to do for the Palestinian cause.
But she also says he has learning difficulties, which militant groups took advantage of.")

I am a CUBs fan and no liberal.

Chicago is a Dem machine town. The people arent really that liberal, but have voted Dem for generations and that is hard to change. Plus, there is a huge patronage machine. The demographic change with more blacks (with white flight to suburbs) and huge influx of Hispanics is driving it further left. Basically, the Chicago politicians are corrupt and steal as much as they can and try to divide the spoils amongst the ethnic groups. Used to be Italians and Irish and now its those 2 groups to a small extent and hispanics and blacks.

They had deals with the Republicans that controlled downstate and suburbs, but dont have to listen to them much anymore now that they have a solid majority.

U.S. trying to open a dialogue with al-Sadr, commander says

By Leila Fadel
McClatchy Newspapers

BAGHDAD, Iraq - The U.S. military is seeking talks with Shiite Muslim cleric Muqtada al-Sadr directly and through the government of Iraq, according to a top American general.

A Sadr aide confirmed that U.S. officials had approached the anti-American cleric's supporters but said that Sadr would never begin a dialogue with what they describe as "occupation forces."

"He has a grass-roots movement that he's always going to have; we have to recognize that," Lt. Gen. Raymond Odierno, the second-ranking American commander in Iraq, told McClatchy Newspapers in an interview this week. "We're trying to talk to him. We want to talk to him."

In a video conference from Baghdad on Thursday, Odierno also said the U.S. was reaching out to Sunni Muslims as well as Shiite armed factions such as Sadr's Mahdi Army militia.

"We are talking about cease-fires, and maybe signing some things that say they won't conduct operations against the government of Iraq or against coalition forces," he said Thursday.

At the same time, however, U.S. and British forces have stepped up operations against the Mahdi Army in the sprawling Shiite slum of Sadr City in Baghdad and the southern port city of Basra.

Odierno told McClatchy that he wasn't sure whether Sadr's resurfacing in the Shiite holy city of Kufa last week was a good or bad thing for American forces in Iraq. While the cleric was away, his organization became more fractionalized, and part of the reason for his return, Odierno said, was "the consolidation of his powers." This could mean cleaning up rogue elements of the Mahdi Army, he said.

"I'm mixed; I'm not sure yet," Odierno said referring to the effect of Sadr's return on security. "I'll take a wait-and-see attitude."

Obviously there's going to be only one way to solve this, outside of the entire West's conversion by the sword, and that is the way we eliminated death before surrender, the Bushido Code, more or less from Japanese society. Emperor Hirohito wasn't shocked or awed by the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The blasts were just two more events, out of a long list of events, that led him to conclude the Japanese people were scheduled for extinction unless he did something. EXTINCTION. He had no way of knowing that the United States only had two bombs in its possession, and they'd already been used. War is serious business. War is bloody. War is Hell.
"War is the application of force, and to the application of that force, there is no limit, say the philophers of war." NBC Television Network, March 8,1953. They had a good idea of what it took to win a war, back then. What will it take before we relearn what we have forgotten over the last sixty two years.

This blatant death worshipping makes it starkly obvious that there are almost no innocents among the Palestinians. The only innocents are those who actively work with the Israelis to end the competing thugocracies of Hamas and Fatah.

Israel has every right, and an obligation to its citizens, to end the rocketing of its cities by any means necessary. If this means carpet bombing Gaza into rubble the Palestinians have only themselves to blame.

Where would a mother take her kids and go? How would they get there?

Where does this learned helplessness come from? I mean no offense MandyManners, but we're not talking about having to cross a vast desert or an ocean to get to some semblence of "civilization".

Pick a town out of the disputed West Bank (I didn't see one in the article)say Hebron, it's less than 25 miles to Jerusalem. Pack a lunch and walk. Borrow the family car and leave it at a checkpoint. Take the bus.

If you get stopped at the border tell your story and ask for assistance. They won't help you? Think of something else.

OK, so I'm ex-Army and I'm not put off about having to walk somewhere, I also put 100+ miles per week on my bicycle just for exersize, but come on. If the lives of your family were at stake would you really whine about where to go and how to get there?

I've met refugees from Cuba, Vietnam, East Germany et al, some were Men and Women carrying babies in their arms when they escaped. They had no plan beyond GETTING OUT!

A while back on another blog I asked the question: What is the world going to do with these children if Egypt or Israel takes back the Gaza Strip? Do we really want these hate filled animals running loose in the world? Should we herd them into some sort of camp and keep them locked up for the rest of their lives? Do we dare let them reproduce, creating another generation of hate-filled killers?

The unfortunate fact is that these kids have been intensely indoctrinated with hate and a lust to kill infidels -- particularly Jewish infidels -- from conception. Someone earlier in the thread mentioned that most of the Hitler Jugend didn't believe what they were being told because they had parents at home telling them otherwise. These Palestinian kids don't have that. Instead, they receive intense reinforcement at home. How many pictures have been taken of Palestinian infants dressed up as suicide bombers?

Agreed. Though I prefer to take turns reading to each other (makes it seem more like a game, gives kids the sense that grown up read too) and I much prefer the "What do you think is happening here?" approach to "This is what is happening." Columbia allowing a free Venezuela TV Station. That takes guts. 1,000,000 homes being reached.( Note that our Free Iraq TV morphed into a pro-terrorist and anti-American station under Bush.) Looks like Columbia remembers how the USA did it when we had patriotic people in charge.

Brazil just told Chavez, Screw off. Both stories from Fox, happening right now.

MADRID, Spain (AP) - Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Friday the United States is willing to look at creative ways to get Iran to halt nuclear activities that could lead to a bomb. She held firm that the U.S. won’t discuss rewards for Iran until it meets that condition.

The thesis was that we should use the model of Francis of Assisi to love the Muslims--but she seemed to be talking of those Muslims who weren't involved in jihad or the governments.

I honestly went into the last hurricane season, believing that we(U.S.) were going to have none, zero, it matters nothing to me whether you believe that or not.

From what I recall, the National Weather Service predicted between 13 and 17.

Algore predicted the end of the world.

All I know, is these "experts" were as far off as anyone can be, the "Manmade Global Warming crowd was screaming, seething, and yet, zero was the number, and yet, the "Manmade Global Warming" crowd is louder than they were last year, and they can't even admit how wrong they were, and are.

Also, this spring, contrary to every meteoroligist and Algore and the National Weather Service, this area was the coolest spring in 128 years, and yet, all anyone ever hears is,

"the earth will be destroyed in 10 years or less."

I know the Maker personally, and I have his promise, that the world never ends.

Mandy,

You wouldn't happen to be related to my former commander's wife who now lives in Houston by any chance, would you?

Seems she had enough of being Mrs. Exec one night after her husband of twenty years moved her from Tulsa to Houston - much to her chagrin.

While out on a business trip one week, my former boss came back to his 4,000 square foot home to find nothing but carpeting and a baby grand piano (guess Mrs. Exec couldn't get that on the top of the car).

She even stripped the curtains and took the doghouse before she left. It was all I could do to keep from busting a nut while he told me this with a sad face in his office.

I laughed for a weekend when I got home.

your not looking at the facts

There are no real facts, that man has anything to do with this current warming cycle, if that is what you are refering to.

Did the waring tribes during the Medival Period, have anything to do with the earth being warmer, on average of 13 degrees, than the earths temp is now?

Not a chance.

The earth blanced itself out, like it has for 4.5 billion years, before man was even on this rock.

Man never has been, and never will be in charge of the climate.

To think that man can alter the climate of the earth, is utterly insane.

Fort Drum switches to monthly memorial services
Posted by Pedro Ramirez III May 31, 2007 8:21AM
Categories: Breaking News
Fort Drum will begin hosting monthly memorial services for 10th Mountain Division soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan, rather than the individual ceremonies it has held for its fallen troops.

The change is due more to scheduling than an increase in combat deaths, said Fort Drum spokesman Ben Abel. When a soldier is killed, the Army pays for a funeral as well as a service at Fort Drum for comrades and families.

"You were having one, two or three in a one-week span, and not everyone could attend," he said. "Now we'll have one big one, and hopefully it will be a more formal, more well-attended event."

Fort Drum has lost 139 soldiers since 2003.

"Manmade Global Warming" is the biggest scam in the history of mankind.

It's "little black helicopter and tinfoil hat stuff", at its best.

More power for the government, more power for the U.N., all because of a natural warming of the earth's climate, more of the illusion, that "Man is coming to the rescue", when mankind can't find his butt with both hands, compared to the Maker.

The earth would be going through this warming period, whether man was here or not, as it has, for the 4.5 billion years before mankind was here.

I am going to start carrying a digital camera in my car. Today I witnessed the following (and it won't be near as funny as witnessing it in person):

I pulled up beside a parked car at a medical center to drop my buddy off after lunch. It was the most pitiful automobile I had ever seen.

It was a 1990 vintage GM Beretta (which was ugly when brand new).

The paint was peeling or totally gone from all quarters - some places it had rusted to the metal.

The sunroof had duct tape all the way around the seam to keep it from leaking.

It had one hub cap. It had no front bumper.

It had a Hillary 2008 sticker with a Muscogee Tribe License tag (much cheaper in Oklahoma) in the back. It also had a Defcon sticker which must be some lib organization I'm not familiar with.

It had a side mirror held on by a combination of duct tape and bailing wire.

The trunk lid was held down by wire and a hole where the entry key lock used to be.

I looked inside and saw a handicapped sticker around the gear shift.

BUT HERE'S THE KICKER:
It had a "club" locked around the steering wheel to keep somebody from stealing it.

And no, I am not making this up.

The geo-climate scientist from Wisconsin who has been studying this stuff for a couple of decades said it best, "They can't predict the weather five days out, how can they predict climate change fifty years out?"

It is oh-so true, but the truth will never fall on the ears of the media consuming public, even Bush is acquiescing to the power of the global warming movement and the inroads it has made into popular culture.

It is so firm a belief, if you look into the mirror of your bathroom in the dark and say "global warming" three times in succession, the earth will warm by .1 degree celsius...

It is so firm a belief, if you look into the mirror of your bathroom in the dark and say "global warming" three times in succession, the earth will warm by .1 degree celsius...

This could be the thing that sets the world economy up for collapse.

It's like demanding that everyone have surgery on their legs, when their legs are just fine.

Something must set the world up for a total financial collapse,

"there bags of money will be like they have holes in them", or something to that effect.

I've seen estimates, that it will cost $300 trillion, to implament the global warming measures, which will have not one small, tiny, remote effect on the climate, in any way.

This global warming hysteria, may just be the thing that bankrupts the world.

Well, I went to look for the climate article where Angela Merkel said she wants to set a maximum temperature rise to 2 degrees Celcius, but instead I learned that:

Prison is 'not the answer' for all paedophiles

Righto mate. Death then?

The head of a child protection agency has come under fire for saying that too many paedophiles are being sent to jail and many should instead be treated in the community.

Mr Gamble: We need a more 'intelligent posture'

Jim Gamble, head the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP), said that some offenders - especially those who view child pornography - should instead receive a police caution then be treated in the community to prevent them from committing further offences.

Mr Gamble said the criminal justice system was struggling to cope with the number of people convicted of paedophilia.

As well as easing the pressure on the system, this approach would allow paedophiles to maintain their "normal lives" and so make them less likely to re-offend, Mr Gamble said.

...
Because reporters typically don't go to the Palestinian Arab territories alone, Ms. Goldstein and Mr. Leyland employed a "fixer" who introduced them to sources, translated, and served as a guide...

...The night before her first foray into the West Bank, she was terrified. "I called my sister and said, ‘You should know where I'll be in case I don't come back in 24 hours.' I thought of the lynching of those Israeli reservists. A million horrible things were going through my mind...

...Her arrival didn't allay her fears. "There are gallows in Ramallah — they practice public hanging. There are pictures of dead children brandishing weapons — ‘martyr posters' — everywhere you look … with captions like ‘Our hero.'"...

...Now 26, Ms. And it's being orchestrated by adults...

...Ms. Goldstein only appears in the film from the back; the focus is on Palestinian Arabs. Shots of refugee camps in Nablus, Jenin, and other towns show children playing, sometimes amid remains of buildings and the detritus of gunfights...

..."I was thinking, ‘You know, there's a legal argument here that no one is making, which is that the suicide bomber himself — 18 and under — is as much a victim as the Israeli civilians being killed,'" she said...

Well, the above still gives me a head ache.

Thank you for posting that. And Olmert *spit* is still in power?

I got this the other day from a friend's daughter, in Modi'in...she had to stay home, as her toddler had chicken pox.

Oh Yeah -

And tell Ms. Goldstein that these people are NOT AMENABLE TO PSYCHIATRY. THEY ARE PSYCOPATHS ALREADY. THE ONLY QUESTION IS WHEN /IF THEY WILL ACT ON THEIR PSYCHOPATHY!

Does the word "ARKANICIDE" mean anything to you? Inquiring minds might like to know.

‘I’m so proud of my brother. Hamas says he’s a hero.’ At one point she had a loser, dwarf, mentally handicapped brother. Now she’s the coolest girl in class, and very proud.”

This is one of the most pathos-inducing and sickening things I've ever read.
We can sit here and complain about these things until we're blue in the face. All of this must be stamped out.

There are very good reasons that some societies were wiped off of the face of the earth.

Hatred breeding more hatred equals continuing death.

I saw the film today and briefly met Brooke Goldstein. I enjoyed the film but it left a lot of people in the audience wanting more. If you don't really know a lot about the conflict, you'd likely walk away from a screening assuming the Israeli occupation is what is causing these kids to blow themselves up out of desperation.

Brooke was much more insightful in her Q&A session and it is a real shame she didn't include her insights into the film. On its own, the film will not meet Brooke's goals - by trying to stay neutral, she grants the death cult an unjustified reason for existence. This film is two years old and I assume she has learned much since its original production. The subject deserves a new directors cut to include her current insights into this world. Still, it was a very brave movie for her to direct and produce and I give her props for that. It is just a shame that in leaving out so much, she really undercuts the potential power of the film.
