I am opposed to censorship in general - and have long opined that software that uses centralised "blacklists" which are not open to public inspection - are centralised tools for abuse and the promotion of "groupthink" which override our rights to free expression.

This is mostly true in the cases of blocked sites that don't "toe the party line" and are blocked for political reasons.

TWO Asian men threw an arms cache into the back of a taxi last night near to the scene of the attack on Glasgow airport.

Technically I think they actually are as those countries are on the continent of Asia. However, you are right to point out that the term "asian" is not applied to people of Middle Eastern (whatever that really means) decent in any other context. Additionally, it is pretty safe to say that if, instead, the terrorists were Israeli Jews, they wouldn't be described as "asian". (although Israel is (obviously) also on the continent of Asia)

He managed to get the car up to an indicated 95 mph, and that was all it had. That wouldn't even get the car on an episode of any police chase show!
