-RetweetThe AP's Latest Terrorist Charm Offensive

Mon, Jul 16, 2007 at 8:58:25 am PDT

It’s another terrorist charm offensive, brought to you by the Associated Press; Snapped Shot collects all the grotesque photos of smiling Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades members that are appearing on the wires: Humanizing the Unhuman.

Palestinian Zakareia Zubaidi, a local leader of Al-Aqsa martyrs brigades, poses for a picture in an undisclosed location in the West Bank town of Jenin Saturday July, 14 2007. (AP Photo/Emilio Morenatti)

What the Associated Press isn’t telling you about Zubaidi: those little black specks all over his face are powder burns from close proximity to explosions. Let’s give them a state!

UPDATE at 7/16/07 9:38:26 am:

When he retires from the mass murder and suicide bombing business, Zubeidi plans to go into theater.

Zubeidi, 31, who has been pursued by Israel’s security forces since 2002 and who now says he wants to dedicate his life to developing theatre in Jenin, was adamant that he had not surrendered.

just took a look at the series of pictures. You can almost hear some brain dead talkling head gurgling in the background, "Ooooh, aren't they handsome? Don't they look rugged and heroic, lounging around in their khakis, slinging them guns around? Aren't they just adorable, cuddling their kids? Don't they look sexy, lighting each other's cigarettes? How could you possibly dislike such swell guys!"

It is to spew.

We Have Nothing to Prove to America
BY Yaman Salahi

...What is being demanded today of Muslims and other minority and immigrant groups in our country is political subservience and silence.

Muslim organizations can issue fatwa after fatwa declaring terrorism an illegitimate form of violence, but [But, BUT!] until they renounce their right to organize politically along religious lines and stop criticizing the American wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the Israeli occupation of Palestine and other criminal activities conducted by the American government and its allies, they will never be accepted as they are.

re: #11 Poitiers-Lepanto

How many times have we seen terrorists who are incarcerated and are released go back to their old ways within minutes of release?

We've seen it with GitMo detainees - who claim to have been mistakenly captured, only to go back to Afghanistan and take up arms once again - and are killed on the battlefield against Afghan or US forces.

The same happened to Israel in past prisoner releases as well.

It's a very very bad idea. These guys simply don't reform. For many, it's a religious thing - and you're not going to change someone's religious view on seeking Israel's ultimate destruction. It's a religious obligation, and to do otherwise would be seen as apostacy.

"As Babsie gazed into his dark, smoldering eyes, Mahmood clasped her in his brawny, warrior's arms. 'Babsie,' he husked, 'Babsie, more precious to me than rubies! It's all the fault of those dastardly Jooos!' Babsie didn't hear a word he said. She was too focused on the strong feel of his powerful loins, his awesome body and the incredibly sexy black powder burns specking his handsome face. . . "

(Okay, I'm joking here, but I agree with you 100%; I think a great deal of the glamorization of these ghouls comes from a media, and an elite, that finds them attractive, sexy, oooh, just so MANLY, etc., blah and so forth. Gotta continue my research on the myth of the noble, incredibly attractive Moslem.)

COUNTDOWN TO COGNITO...

"Well CHARLES and you LIZARDS, the media is just doing its job, reporting on the people that are celebrated widely by many Palestinians...it doesn't matter HOW they got the shot really-the point is really HOW DID KARL ROVE get seventeen boxes of Corn Flakes delivered to Arafat's compound in 1993? If you go back to interviews with the original photocopied Al-Aksa newsletters, you will see that pledges against terror have been used before. And your attempts to malign the media in this case are simply reprojections of the time you dropped your ice cream cone on your lap in civics class in 1978."

This is the guy who cribs compositions from the Renaissance in his "resistance fighter portrait" photos. He's their #1 producer of staged combat photos, who always just happens to be right where the Jew-and-or-collaborator killing is happening. He's the classic case of an AP stringer being non-partisan, in fact he's basically a terrorist media officer with AP credentials...

88 Dave the.....  Mon, Jul 16, 2007 9:25:51am

When I was a youngster growing up in the 1980's, MSM had long adapted the "victims or villains" mode in reporting on Vietnam vets. The vets were either psychotic nut cases from their was experiences, agent orange sufferers, etc, or they were blood thirsty killers who had preyed on the innocent civilians of Vietnam.

I see that happening more and more with reporting on Iraqi veterans. My paper runs an article about every other day on how messed up the Iraqi veterans are. Some are legitimate stories...columns on local soldiers working with prosthetics. But they run a large number of stories on Iraqi veterans supposedly having major psychological issues. I understand that some have problems adjusting back, but I see the same thing I used to read 20+ years ago on Vietnam. The next step is for the villains in TV shows and movies to be veterans.

Hey guys, I'm no dermatologist, but there are a number of conditions which display the pattern of pigmentation and lesions on this perp's ugly puss. If this were from from an explosion, there would be a much less symmetric presentation. Not to mention severe eye injuries.

An Australian defense analyst says it's becoming more apparent that Iran and Syria are pulling the strings of al-Qaeda because the terrorist group -- which has been forced out of its traditional bases of operation -- has had to use bases inside the Shia-dominated countries.

Greg Copley is president of the Washington-based International Strategic Studies Association (ISSA). He says al-Qaeda cannot function as a terrorist organization unless it has a country or countries willing to provide it safe haven.

"What we're seeing is that Iran and Syria are really pulling the strings now on al-Qaeda because [it] has nowhere else to go," Copley explains. "Its safe havens in Afghanistan and supposedly in the tribal areas of Pakistan are no longer safe, so it's basically using secret basing inside Iran."

144 newsjunkie_ky  Mon, Jul 16, 2007 9:43:39am

In case this hasn't been posted. A funny email just received:

An Update on Security Alerts Author: David Duval

The English are feeling the pinch in relation to recent terrorist threats and have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved."

Soon, though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross." Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies all but ran out. Terrorists themselves have been re-categorized from "Tiresome" to "A Bloody Nuisance." The last time the British issued a "Bloody Nuisance" warning level was during the great fire of 1666.

Also, the French government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert level from "Run" to "Hide." The only two higher levels in France are "Surrender" and "Collaborate." The rise was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed France's white flag factory, effectively paralyzing the country's military capability.

It's not only the English and French that are on a heightened level of alert. Italy has increased the alert level from "Shout Loudly and Excitedly" to "Elaborate Military Posturing." Two more levels remain: "Ineffective Combat Operations" and "Change Sides."

The Germans also increased their alert state from "Disdainful Arrogance" to "Dress in Uniform and Sing Marching Songs." They also have two higher levels: "Invade a Neighbour" and "Lose."

Belgians, on the other hand, are all on holiday as usual, and the only threat they are worried about is NATO pulling out of Brussels.

The Spanish are all excited to see their new submarines ready to deploy. These beautifully designed subs have glass bottoms so the new Spanish navy can get a really good look at the old Spanish navy.

145 Ayatollah Ghilmeini  Mon, Jul 16, 2007 9:43:42am

How do you end the war?

The Zubaidis and Hawatmehs of the world pose an interesting question: what do you do when the terrorists, utterly defeated or too old to fight anymore, decide they want to lay down their arms?

If you decided to kill everyone who fought or opposed Israel in the WB over the last 40 years, you would have to kill a lot of people.

The Palestinians have shown themselves incapable of self governance. Israel does not wish to govern them and they do not wish to be governed. With the Gaza uprising, the dream of a two-part Palestine is dead.

So what do you do? Well there has to be some government and the WB is going to be dependent on Israel for water and power no matter what. Ending the day to day anarchy that the Zubaidi and his henchmen inflicted on civil order is as desirable as getting this guy out of the terror business (don't forget, the only reason this guy lived is he might be an Israeli agent or he one elusive capable operative).

A conditional amnesty, meaning if they go back into the business, they are subject to a kill on sight order is a regrettable escape from justice but one of those unpalatable things you do to save existing lives, the ones these barbarians might kill if they continue in their efforts.

I am not happy about this but, ending the WB as a war front greatly benefits Israel and might clear the way for things that are truly transformative- Arab league recognition, a Saudi Embassy in Jerusalem and keep going.

People forget the huge cost of fighting a non-stop guerrilla war and having to stop EVERY terror attack from the WB- lowering the number of attacks, letting Palestinians finally try building a post Arafat civil society are not inconsequential if they were to occur.

Israel wins by living. It doesn't have to be pretty or perfect; she just has to live. That is the goal; as odious as this scum is, he lost and this plea for clemency is an admission that he and his methods failed.

It's looks increasingly likely that Charles recent story of the Glasgow airport terrorist were high on 'Jihad juice' is true. The link is here.

Quoting the article

Meanwhile, it was claimed today two suspects arrested for the Glasgow Airport attack were "high as kites" on morphine at the time.

The findings of toxicology tests on Kafeel Ahmed and Bilal Abdullah, also 27, were said to help explain why Ahmed was not screaming in agony despite being on fire.

Now that is the 'excitement' is over, life is coming 'back to normal' over in here in Scotland apart from the occasional article in the local press of the local muslims being targeted by the thugs.

Leftists love their murderers, thugs, dictators etc. Remember, their bible, the Communist Manifesto, is a war manual. Their other bible is Orwell's 1984, so when you're supporting murder and genocide be sure to call it "peace".

I'm pretty sure leftists are all the looses in all societies all around the world who hate the west because they don't fit in. There was a special on 60 minutes about these looser Americans that defected to North Korea during the Korean war. Good commies all. They got there because they were complete failures in their personal lives. The main guy they were talking about defected because he was about to get courtmarshalled for going AWOL to spend the night with some whores in town. I agree totally -- these folks who have such deep feelings for Palestinians, feel nothing for the pain and suffering of Israelis, even though it's clear who the victim and who the victimizers are.

My point was that, reading through the Snapped Shot page, I felt no sympathy. But maybe that's because I'm just not sucked into propaganda very easily.

Oh, no, wait a minute. My misunderstanding was thinking that the Snapped Shot webpage was intended as a tribute. But what it was actually doing was exposing AP's attempt to put a warm and fuzzy face on terrorism. And so, as Gilda Radner used to say, "never mind..."

Jenin -- Zakaria Zubeidi was preparing a bomb two years ago when it blew up, leaving his anger written all over his face in the form of small black pockmarks.

In his circle, Mr. Zubeidi's startling appearance makes the 28-year-old leader of this city's Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades - a militant offshoot of Yasser Arafat's Fatah faction - more commanding, like wearing his stripes across his face instead of on his epaulets.

Despite his youth, Zubeidi is widely considered the most powerful man in Jenin, or at least the most feared. The Al Aqsa Brigades are a network of guerrilla groups which sprang up after the start of the new intifada in September 2000. The self-set agenda of such groups, as well as countless other militant cells, constitutes part of the challenge to Mr. Arafat's authority now coming to a crescendo in the Gaza Strip. If Zubeidi's defiance is any sign, the aging Palestinian leader can expect a more youthful generation of compatriots increasingly fed up with almost everything.

Sounds like a classic "bad boy" to me. Girls love that shit, even though they all know better. Some girls never grow out of that mentality.

Refuge Is Prison For Hunted Palestinian:

Zbeida's skin is the color of roasted pecans. A year and a half ago he was helping build a bomb when it exploded in his face, leaving his high cheeks, nose and forehead permanently blackened. Red veins snake across the whites of his eyes; he suffers from a detached retina and he has difficulty seeing in the harsh glare of the desert's daylight hours.

Gene Simmons on the WOT:

PR.com: I am interested in your thoughts on the war in Iraq.

Gene Simmons: Well, I think everybody in America is on crack, and believes that you can go on your summer vacation, you fight a war and you come back. This war will continue for generations, and it has nothing to do with tanks and guns. It has to do with winning the minds and hearts of young Muslim people so that they don't choose 9/11 kind of behavior. It's the dark ages, this idea that you can go there for a few years and come home. We have been in Korea for decades and we should continue to be there until a new generation comes in and just finally gives up. You've got to fight the war like The Cold War; be there as long as it takes, and finally Russia lays down its arms.

PR.com: Do you think this all goes back to the United Nations giving the Jewish people the state of Israel?

Gene Simmons: Well, let's not go there. It's too political. The problem is not Israel or anything else. People hate each other and have for centuries. Actually, ever since we started walking the earth. One cave did not like the other cave. They were taller or shorter or fatter or darker or lighter. Human beings can barely get along.

PR.com: Why do you think?

Gene Simmons: I think it's survival and competition, whether its sports or jousting knights in shining armor, or beauty pageants for women... or you look at animals. You see rams ramming each other, and there is always the pecking order. Who is going to be top dog?

PR.com: What do you think about celebrities speaking out about their opinions on the war?

Gene Simmons: Pathetic and they're not qualified to talk about it. I think everybody means well, but whether you are far left or far right, Al-Qaeda does not care what you are or what your beliefs are. They don't care if you want to withdraw and go home. They want you to die. There is no difference [to] an extremist Muslim. They're not interested if you are for the war or against the war. You're just all Americans to them.

"'Until I came here, I never had a real date, with a real man,' Babsie husked in Mahmood's ear, 'Tell me again you love me!'

'I love ya, babe,' yawned Mahmood, 'Now I want you to take this ticking package down the street to the Jewish pizzaria! And remember, it's all the Jooos' fault. . . . "

The photographer is certainly giving this character the Rudy Valentino treatment! (Whereas the one in alouette's link is getting the "Too Sexy for Mah Shirt!" treatment.)

The Wall St. Journal cited a study which compared Encyclopedia Brittanica with Wikipedia regarding some science subjects (they had some science profs look it over for accuracy), and it came out about 50-50, with Wikipedia beating Brittanica 1/2 the time.

But get into a subject such as Rush Limbaugh or LGF, and watch the propaganda fly.

I'm sick to death of these journalice meeting with the rest of the scum of the earth in their secret bunkers, their torture chambers, their hidey-holes in the mountains, and not having the damn SEALS bust in and clean house.

These "press" bastards have already declared that they would let American troops die just so they get a story, they will publish classified programs and tactics, they will actively pursue defeat for America in every arena...etc. So why not tag the journalice and track them to these terrorist maggot dens?

Shouldn't Mo the Head Chopper be as worried meeting with Wolf Blitzer or Geraldo as we are getting on a plane to Boston?

Look at Tom clancy's Summit of all fears. In the book they were arab/moslem bad guys, but it was changed for the movie. (Ina a way, we should be thankful that Germany provided us with a neverending supply of bad guys. I mean who could like a Nazi andthey allow H-wood to gloss over some other really bad dudes.) Ever seen a bad Commie in movies?
I guess having a new crop of Iraqi/A-stan vets as bad guys will allow H-wood to continue to portray islam as all milk and cookies. They can always blame the Jooos or ex-GIs.

Wow guys. Enjoying the piling on? I'm a new guy here -- is this some sort of initiation rite?

Didn't realize I had that many posts. I invite anyone to go back an read what I've written.

But might want to go back and read what I've written on this subject first -- all I question is whether it was an explosion which made his mug look like this. Never questioned whether he had blown anything up (other than himself). Simple enough?

Mongrel,

Yep, there are some here which tend to have a hair trigger, and they end up firing all barrels at those who actually agree with them.

Chill, dudes. Reconsidering whether or not they're bomb-produced powder burns isn't an act of heresy, or pro-Palestinian sentiment. And it certainly isn't "idiotic."

Mongrel19,

I'll give you a head's up. Charles is probably one of the most scrutinized people on this planet. How many bloggers do you know that have stalkers scrutinizing every comment and blaming the owner for errors or omissions? It's a daily ritual.

Charles would be a fool to publish anything he didn't think factual. In order to retain credibility with the media world, Charles has to be very careful what he publishes.

The beef is being a guest and then asking the owner to provide links to the information you think incorrect. If Charles is wrong, it's your responsibility to prove it.

If the journalice quit interviewing terrorists and meeting with bombing tape delivery boys to protect their "integrity" (and to protect their allies); and the bomb-tape delivery boys and the head choppers stopped giving face to face interviews because the journalists are all showing up on a big plasma screen at SOCOM...how is that a bad thing?

Maybe we would see and hear less of the relentless drumbeat of defeatism and self-hatred in the media. Maybe we would see more interviews with GI's that kick ass and save lives all over the world.

What these two symbiotic creatures both crave most is attention and publicity. The traumatic fear of losing the terrorists' side of the story for the journalice and the heart-wrenching fear that nobody will read about them in the New York Times for the terrorist can only lead to good things in my view.

Christian girl in Britain loses fight to wear Christian chastity ring at school. Muslims, however may wear head pieces and jewelry signifying theirn faith.
[Link: [Link: www.dailymail.co.uk...]...]

This is unbelievably outrageous. I read the article and tried to post a comment but the Daily Mail wasn't taking anymore comments; apparently they could only take two negative comments.

The handwriting on the wall is pretty obvious to anyone who reads - islam gets a pass on everything and the noose around Christianity and Judaism gets a little tighter each day.

Um, no.

Gene Simmons on the WOT:

PR.com: I am interested in your thoughts on the war in Iraq.Gene Simmons: Well, I think everybody in America is on crack, and believes that you can go on your summer vacation, you fight a war and you come back.

Wow. I'm impressed.
