My 2 bits: Rudy was a little too talkative. And I have to say, I really am not all that concerned about New York City being the equal of the entire United States. I do still believe that he is the strongest on foreign policy and knows who the real enemy is.
Mitt is just a little too slick for my tastes. I love John McCain for the honorable man I believe him to be; however, I also believe he is a little too "squishy" in his approach to foreign policy.
I also wish that at least one of them had answered the scenario question when Israel was added into the equation. My view, tell Israel that we have their backs.

I think it would be great if Ron Paul ran as an independent. It would only serve to take moonbats away from serious candidates. As the moonbats would be likely to vote Dem, no loss there. Has the man ever studied American History!

Anyone post that Fred anounced?
/Shocka!
But thats why they were taking potshots at him> It may have some to do with his refusal to be one of the sheep jockying about in this unneeded pre-season political chest puffing ritual (come on, just because the lemming-like liberal loons are doing it, it does not mean its needed!) . That has him getting my respect. Not my vote at his point, but my respect.

Fred wants to be, but can't be Reagan. His stint on Law and Order was really good, but he's no George Gipp.

I like Paul's ideas... but he is a kook... Tancredo is good on one issue. Guiliani might as well be a Dem (Brady bill... yeah... great), Romney... presents well, but I am not sure he is truthful/consistent. They are all pretty worthless when it comes to "upholding the constitution".

Anyone who votes for Ron Paul should get a sign. The idea that he has a clue about the founders is preposterous. The sign should read "Is your village missing its idiot".

LOL... agreed... the guy has a "good" idea about how some things apply to the Constitution... but has no clue how the US is going to continue long term... certainly not by being completely isolationists... not by eliminating intelligence agencies...

WOW!
The candidates are all either totally disingenuous or total kooks. Can we PLEASE have a candidate who is all together sincere, understands modern "conservative" principles, has a wealth of intellgence and knowledge and wisdom, and has talents of both communication and leadership ACTUALLY RUN FOR PRESIDENT?
Only Ron Paul, Hunter, and Tancredo refused to pander (except on the first question) to the various US voter constituencies. They have nothing to lose because they are generally considered second-tier kooks. The "front runners" made me sick with their totally squishy answers.
Say what you believe and beieve what you say. Let the voters decide based on transparent answers to the questions.
THAT is the way to run. If the voters agree with you, then they will vote for you. If not, then accept that they will vote for another candidate.
Give people a clear, honest choice. In doing so, we will have another Reagan/Carter or Reagan/Dukakis general election.

Seriously though, if Iran is an existential threat to Israel, why shouldn't it be Israel that attacks Iran? Why must it be the US?

Doesn't the US taxpayer "give" billions for Israel's defense every year? And hasn't that been the case for, like, for the last 30 years or so?
Israel has nukes. Iran currently doesn't. If Israel thinks Iran will nuke them the moment they develop nukes, Israel should really do something about that, and soon. But not the US.
The US military bombed Christians in the former Yugoslavia in the 1990s. The crisis in Yugoslavia wasn't a direct threat to us, but we did it anyway, because the Europeans were too weak and pussy to deal with it themselves. And what sort of thanks do we get? The Europeans hate us, the Serbians hate us, and the Muslims hate us.
Not exactly a good return on investment, eh?

Because if Israel is hit by a nuclear weapon, it doesn't have a chance to hit back. The land is just too small. One Nuke would take out the whole Country.

#187:
I believe that's Israel's problem, not ours.
Anyway, it's not even true. Iran, maybe three years from now, might be able to launch on strike on a single city in Israel that will kill thousands. Maybe tens of thousands. But it won't destroy the entire country. And the Israelis, in response, will be able to devastate most of Iran's major cities with their nukes, launched from submarines in the Mediterranean Sea.

re: #185 RJ77
First of all, the US does not "give" Israel billions. Those are loans, that must be spent in the US and US firms. In almost every case, Israel buys military equipment, which it frequently improves and gives the improvements free of charge to the US.
The list of useful and important items shared with the US and the world is outstanding, cell phones, laptop computer chips, numerous medical advances, the list is huge.
What does the US get for the billions it gives to Egypt, Pakistan, etc.
Not so much as a thank you. Egypt takes the money and military equip and plans for war with Israel.
go figure

Can you name one thing that islam has contributed to civilization?
I can. It was because of islam that prompted the Europeans to find an alternate route the China (instead of travelling through muslim occupied lands), whereby discovering the New World.
Also: #187 RJ77
Do u think that by bombing the Christains in the former Yugoslavia, Clinton wasn't pandering to the muslim arabs to move on his middle east initiative?
My prediction is Isreal will be forced to bomb iran. I just hope the new USA president has the determination to join in and rid the world of the mullah theocracy.
Let me know if you think otherwise. I'm not up to snuff on the Yugo thing; so I apologize if I'm hazy on this topic.
My 2 cents.
