The dance of the puppets
The rusted chains of prison moons
Are shattered by the sun.
I walk a road, horizons change
The tournaments begun.
The purple piper plays his tune,
The choir softly sing;
Three lullabies in an ancient tongue,
For the court of the crimson king.

We could peg it as a historical interest event. Oh, I'm sorry Mr. Al-Jihadi, does my ancestry bother you? I can't help it if I am a descendant of Baldwin of Flanders, King of Jerusalem. It's just a coincidence that our parade is on Sept. 11. No offense, please.

They are marching in the streets of New York calling for jihad.......and then...................
America marks the sixth anniversary of the September 11 attacks on Tuesday with more low key commemorations than in the past and in the face of mounting concern over the US-led "war on terror."
In New York, where more than 2,700 people were killed when two hijacked planes plowed into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center, rescue workers were to read out the names of the dead in a solemn ceremony on Tuesday.
New York and America....want to forget the people slaughtered that day....this evil makes me angry...I will never forget...or shut up. [Link: www.breitbart.com...]

The burqa is bad for the health of the women forced to wear it because as it turns out, the body needs sunlight. Whodathunkit? Something about vitamin D deficiency. But like, I doubt any Muslim fanatic who makes their wife or daughter wear a burqa gives a flying f* about their vitamin deficiency. Fat chance of that.
But forcing a woman to wear a burqa results in male babies being nursed with low quality milk. Just like Allah willed it I guess.

It's like the muslim leaders here in the UK who always say 'Islam prohibits the murder of innocent people' (which is beautiful msm double-speak, since their defination of 'innocent' doesn't include a lot.
Glad to read that there were protesters at this disgusting march. At least some people don't want to go gently into that good night!

Reminds me of what that guy from dawahworks said the other day: "It's like jewelry inside of a display case" (referring to a woman covering herself, this being the ultimate example). To which I gotta say, you've got to be kidding! That's not a person! It's a walking, talking black blob. It's like a car driving down the road with blacked-out windows. It's creepy in the extreme. There is no humanity to be seen there.
I say, right here and now, that we should ban face-coverings in public without special permit (I can imagine that some people with unusual skin conditions may need full cover in order to go outside).

There are, or at least used to be, a lot of us Polaks in New York. We could have a day to celebrate Jan III Sobieski's victory over the Caliphate in Vienna on September 12, 1683 as well.

I remember the first time maybe six, seven years ago that I came across the Darth Vader look in my local supermarket. The woman was even gloved and it was eerie to look where the eyes should be and see a blank. She was pushing a fully loaded cart. Meanwhile, her husband was bopping along beside her hands in his pockets in some kind of light colored non-confining ethic dress much more appropriate to hot summer weather. It reminded one of a man and his pack animal.
What was rare then has become much more common now. Sometimes you see a family group with the mother alone in suffocating regalia. If there's a little daughter dancing along in western dress, it is dismaying to realize that she is being programed to accept her black shroud when she hits puberty.
Western society puts great store by facial expressions and eye contact. It's how we judge people, whether they have "an honest face". whether they "meet our eyes" etc. To be importing a large group of people who embody the antitheses of Western culture not just in their appearance but their beliefs is asking for trouble.
These are not immigrants as we know them. They are not here to assimilate. They are here to colonize and pressure more members to become more fundamental. Do you know of any cases where a Muslim girl discards her hijab? (The few who do rebel are erased with honor killings as documented in the EU). It's more often the case that girls who did not wear them earlier don them, including converts of course.
Most frightening, the younger generation who grew up in the West is more devout (devoted to the cult) than their parents who immigrated here, so despite attending public schools, they have been successfully programed via Islamist sites on the Internet and by the Saudi funded Wahhabi imams in mosques that have sprouted on every corner.
It is impossible to bar the door to more of these invaders because of the Left's denial that they are different and dangerous in an existential way. There is no reciprocity, no counter-balance. No Muslim nation is becoming more open, more multi-cultural. It is just the open multi-cultural societies that are becoming more Muslim, slowly, inexorably, one dhimmi give-away at a time:
You don't like our satirical cartoons? Fine, we will give up our freedom of speech to give you alone freedom from criticism.
You want to vote, drive, cross borders with your face obscured in a black bag that has been used by terrorists as a disguise? Very reasonable request, we're working on that.
You want jobs like taxi driver or cashier where you choose who you will serve according to your religion? Sure.
You want footbaths in every public building? Of course we have to provide them.
You want to leave your tasks and bow and scrape to your sex-crazed prophet and murderous god several times during the work-day and need a private room too? Okey-dokey.
While your co-religionists carry out daily attacks against every other religion around the world including the most spectacular of all in this country, you insist that you be treated like a white-haired Swedish granny with no racial profiling? It's only fair we mis-direct billions to assuage your delicate sensibilities that somehow are not bothered by civilians including children being killed in the name of your religion.
etc.etc.

That's because our leftist State Department is inviting them here by the droves on the taxpayer's dime.
It was several years ago that our gov transplanted 7,000 muslims from Eastern Europe to a suburb outside of Dearborn, giving them housing, jobs and a free education. What do want to bet they haven't made any efforts to assimilate.
Little by little we've been slowly headed toward falling off the precipice of the one-world mindset. Once the U.S. falls for that, it'll be the end of our sovereignty as we know it. The pc taught in schools is being patriotic is bad, being a globalist is good.
But for the life of me I can't imagine why anyone would think adopting a 7th century barbaric culture would be a good thing.

It won't stay at a few hundred either as more and more of them having their 9 babies and bringing over every damn extended family of theirs with our lax laws and borders. WTH is wrong with NY for allowing full face masks in public? I thought they had a policy at one time to ban the face coverings from rally's.
Ban the Burka NOW and those special interest groups that are trying to segregate everything again. Islam is a cult and we should not allow creepage of this death cult nor our tax dollar to support it in the various ways that it is.

I wandered into this event inadvertently yesterday with my family, as we were meeting some of my wife's cousins.
They packed Madison Square Park. Plenty of police. Handing out lots of brochures about the main topic 'Fighting Islamophobia'- nice way to celebrate September 11th, by criticizing non-Muslims instead of their own support of terrorism. Makes sense, New York is a liberal town, and most
liberals swallow the '-ophobia' line unquestioningly since it works for other groups.
All the families had lots of kids- many of the youngsters in hijab.
Their strength and power will definitely increase unless non-Muslims in Western countries start having kids again.

Other kings said I was daft to build a castle on a swamp, but I built it all the same, just to show 'em. It sank into the swamp. So, I built a second one. That sank into the swamp. So, I built a third one. That burned down, fell over, THEN sank into the swamp, but the fourth one stayed up! And that's what you're gonna get, lad. The strongest castle in these islands.

Maynard: Skip a bit, Brother.
Second brother: And the Lord spake, saying, 'First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then, shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, nor either count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it.'

I stood at the end of the parade with 30 or so other patriots in a protest organized by Joe Kaufmann at Americans against hate. That's not many in a city of 7+ million but it's a start, and it was the first time the parade got any opposition. Atlas Shrugged has some good photos and video on her site.
Across the street was a group of muslims with signs calling for the elimination of western democracy, the banning of the Talmud, and the insituition of Sharia in the US.

"Why does it have to be period attire? I'm sure people could whip up something of a snappy modern style."
crusader period attire would be essential - - it is directly linked to what muslims' believe as their greatest era under the rule of saladin.
and the "crusader" namecalling is a favorite of the muslims/leftists today because they have to go back that far in history to find an example of christian force. which is in itself is a lie because the crusader period was a defensive response to muslim agression. but i digress.
yes, a crusader day parade in NYC, and period attire, would send them absolutely apeshit. maybe even burn saladin in effigy...

Still looking for a good parallel to the black burqa seen in the picture. For all of the other options (Darth Vadar, ninja, executioner, gorilla, bandit, etc.) there's some distinguishing characteristic (even for Darth, his helmet was custom and elaborate -- his own unique design -- and it included his own unique voice synthesizer). And so, the best I've been able to come up with which is a complete and total blank of personality and distinctiveness, is "Cousin It" from the 60's TV show, "The Adams Family":
[Link: wongablog.co.uk...]
But even that isn't a perfect fit. Cousin It had his trademark hat he always wore, the hair wasn't jet black, and there was only one like 'him' (and therefore he was unique and distinguishable as the one and only Cousin It).
I really can't think of a parallel to the complete nothingness and 100% hiding from the outside world, as the full black burqa. Thus the reason we have male jihadis hiding inside of them.

it is the black of jihad....they carry into battle.
I just found two black flags of jihad with identical script. The flag in Urban Infidels shot says something different. Maybe it's proclaimingManhattanGround Zero as the fourth holiest site in islam.
Wouldn't surprise me in the least.

The words on the flag are probably the shahada (Muslim decree of faith), with the entire image reflecting the banner of revolt and battle (al-raya). The flag of early Muslims used on the battlefield (named Al-Raya) was black with the Shahadah in white script.

re: #79 storagemanager
DEATH be not proud, though some have called thee
Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so,
For those whom thou thinkest thou dost overthrow,
Die not, poor death, nor yet canst thou kill me.
From rest and sleep, which but thy pictures be,
Much pleasure; then from thee much more must flow,
And soonest our best men with thee do go,
Rest of their bones, and souls' delivery.
Thou art slave to Fate, Chance, kings, and desperate men,
And dost with poison, war, and sickness dwell,
And poppy or charms can make us sleep as well,
And better than thy stroke; why swellest thou then?
One short sleep past, we wake eternally,
And death shall be no more: Death, thou shalt die.
--John Donne
