-RetweetSecret Service Will Protect Ahmadinejad at Ground Zero

Thu, Sep 20, 2007 at 8:39:49 am PDT

Holocaust-denying Islamofascist Mahmoud Ahmadinejad may still try to defile Ground Zero in New York, even though the NYPD rejected his plan.

And if he does, he’ll be protected by the Secret Service.

The secret service is directly controlled by President Bush. President Bush is allowing this to happen. If Dinnerjacket is killed, Bush can plausibly deny any responsibility since he did what he could to protect him. Yeppie.

I feel bad for the Secret Service. Really, really bad.

I know they can request certain levels of reassignment - wonder how many of them will try to do that.

Here's a headline I'd love to see:

I hate diplomatic protocol. I really, really hate it, today.

While it's not usual to say to a foreign dignitary invited by the UN, "You're on your own," I wish we would say so.

What an insult, and how very angry I find myself.

Iran is harboring Bin Ladens friggin son. He wants to go to Ground Zero to gloat and use it for his own propoganda. This CANNOT be allowed to happen. If our own damn secret service wont stop it, we the people need to.

USSS's job is to protect diplomats when they enter the US. Want to put an end to this madness? Demand that he be denied entry to the US so that he can use a visit to Ground Zero to further his anti-American propaganda.

I fully expect him to say something along the lines of that what happened at Ground Zero is only the tip of the iceberg if Americans do not submit to Islam.

Deny him the opportunity. His country sponsors international terrorism, and he lauds international terrorists at every turn.

A solid wall of thousands of Americans 100's deep standing silently shoulder to shoulder should do it. That would send a message to this little stubby bastard.

Does anybody really think that the Secret Service would tear gas a crowd of Americans for that c***sucker?

If a hundred thousand citizens all decide to take a coffee break in Manhattan on Monday it is nobody's business.

The Secret Service would take one look at the security nightmare and order everyone back into their limos for a quick retreat.

(New York - WABC, September 19, 2007) - Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad requested to visit Ground Zero during an upcoming trip to New York. That request was rejected Wednesday. But a source tells Eyewitness News that the decision may not stop him.

A law enforcement source says the Iranian mission to the United Nations has informed the Secret Service that the Iranian president intends to visit Ground Zero Monday at 10 a.m.

I don't understand.

The US, as host of the UN, is expected to let all foreign leaders into the country for UN functions. Fine.

But as a man almost certainly at least indirectly responsible for dead GIs in Iraq, he needs no more access to New York than a motorcade route from JFK airport, to the UN building, and the Iranian UN Mission. That is all. Total.

The US should refuse any diplomatic courtesies, including police and USSS protection, if he leaves the small area required for an appearance at the UN.

Iranian Revolutionary Guard Officer caught red handed killing American Soldiers in Iraq,

And the man who issues their orders gets protection from the American secret service while visiting Ground Zero.

If someone wrote that in a fictional book I would have said the plot is too implausible.

I don't live in the US, so can't protest - though would if I could.

If you can't stop him going by making clear what the political fallout of his visit will be, how about protesting with pictures of the dead on 9/11, combined with pictures of holocaust victims.

He must not be given the opportunity to get an image he can use for propaganda.

Hi Dianna, It's only 45 minutes from JFK to Manhattan. You'd only need cab fare [expensive $45.00] or subway fare [$4.00] to downtown and little cash for lunch. If you need anything, please email me and we'll talk about it.

Good afternoon, President Ahmadinejad, I'm Chester Warton Frangifax IV of the State Department. On behalf of the Secretary and the people of the United States, I'd like to welcome you to New York. I understand that you will be taking a trip to do a victory dance-- er, lay a wreath-- at the site of the World Trade Center.

I know this is somewhat unusual, but the Secret Service detail assigned for your protection is not available to accompany you to the site (they all seem to have contracted some kind of stomach flu, tsk, tsk), but a group of 15 New York City Firefighters has volunteered to handle security, and has promised to provide you with an experience you will carry with you for the rest of your life.

Ah, I see the firetruck and ambulance have arrived. Won't you please step this way?

The arrest could add to tensions between Washington and Tehran already strained by the detention of each other's citizens as well as U.S. accusations of Iranian involvement in Iraq's violence and Iran's disputed nuclear program.

The military said the suspect was a member of the Quds force—an elite unit of Iran's Revolutionary Guards—and was seized from a hotel in the Kurdish city of Sulaimaniyah.

Two other Iranians were detained in the raid but later released, a Kurdish official said.

The Iranian officer was allegedly involved in transporting roadside bombs, including armor-piercing explosively formed penetrators, or EFPs, into Iraq, according to a military statement. It said intelligence reports also indicated he was involved in the infiltration and training of foreign fighters in Iraq.

At the Pentagon, spokesman Bryan Whitman said the arrest was consistent with U.S. policy and that the Iranian posed a serious threat. "It's a further reflection that they've not ceased those activities that we find troublesome," Whitman said.

Granted this idea will get instantly deep-sixed by the Fifth Column of the State Department - but why are they even granting Ahmahwhackjob entry into US territory to present to the UN?

I mean, if Ahmahwhackjob can get to Turtle Bay without crossing into US airspace, or US territorial waters - by all means, let him present on 'international ground' at Turtle Bay. But we don't have formal diplomatic relations with his country so let him present by closed circuit tv - or let the UN move the location of its meeting outside the US.

When Theodore Roosevelt was either Police Commissioner or Mayor of New York -- I am not sure which -- some very high level dignitary of the Russian Czarist regime arrived on a state visit.

He was known to be a foaming-at-the-mouth hater and persecutor of Jews in Russia.

Teddy gave him a full police excort for his visit -- and made sure that every single one of the policemen was a Jew.

OT, while Tropical Disturbance #93L (really, it is a sub-tropical disturbance) hasn't even been classified as a Sub-Tropical Depression yet, and because it has non-tropical characteristics and only two days left over water, probably never quite makes it to hurricane strength before a hit somewhere between Morgan City and Pensacola, the city of New Orleans is coordinating with the Red Cross to open shelters for the many residents of New Orleans still living in their FEMA trailers. As Hurricane Humberto showed in Texas (and I was amazed that any Texan would be in a trailer two years after Hurricane Rita), even a Cat 1 hurricane can rip the roof off of, or roll over, a FEMA trailer.

247 merav  Thu, Sep 20, 2007 9:26:08am

Guys, I've got tons of questions. Are there any lawyers or other knowledgeables on this thread who can answer any of them?

- Can't the Iranians be charged with trespassing?
- If NYPD declares an area off-limits, and you or I forced our way onto the site regardless, couldn't we be charged with trespassing, or creating a public nuisance, or something? Disturbing the peace?

- How about - since the Iranians are announcing in advance that they plan to violate an NYPD order - charging them with CONSPIRACY to create a disturbance, or something?

- Does diplomatic immunity extend to "diplomats" who announce in advance they plan to break the law? IS there a law against disobeying NYPD directives?

- Finally, what if a "diplomat" is CAUGHT commiting a crime? What's the procedure? (Not just trespassing, ANY crime?)

IMHO, this "visit" iis going to create one HORRENDOUS secutiry problem. Yes, NYPD can CERTAINLY handle it; they're excellent. But the atmosphere of resentment, combined with possibilities of protestors - that can be flammable. NYPD has every right - and responsibility - to protect us from the results.

The Secret Service was transferred from the Treasury Department, as of March 1, 2003, to the control of the Department of Homeland Security. So it's actually under Chertoff's control.

However, our mission website says:

Some of the Office's most important services to the United Nations community include:

* Facilitating and evaluating registration and accreditation.
* Acting as a law enforcement liaison to ensure safety, security, cooperation and respect.
* Providing visa services for registered members of the official United Nations community in New York with a valid visa status.
* Assisting with legal and/or paralegal problems.
* Administering the employment authorization program.
* Serving as primary liaison between the UN community and the City of New York on diplomatic parking and other municipal or local issues.
* Assisting the diplomatic community with requests for airport arrival or departure courtesies.
* Serving as the United States representative on the UN's Committee on Relations with the Host Country.

Of course, nothing stops Americans from protesting. Just please do it peacefully.

265 toomanysnax  Thu, Sep 20, 2007 9:29:22am

Before you folks get all excited about protesting, please consider this. He will arrive with his own batch of bodyguards who probably brought serious weaponry in their diplomatic pouches. You can be sure they aren't going to the WTC unarmed. The Secret Service may protect him to some extent but they don't have the horsepower to do a complete job. That leaves the NYPD to do the heavy lifting. If anyone gets too close, I wouldn't be surprised if his own protecting goons used their weapons on protesters. What he doesn't understand is the freedom we have to do what we want and when. A motorcade cannot be protected from every eventuality. My feeling is that he will "decide" not to drive around NYC at the last minute, having been notified by Homeland Security that there are risks to his unfettered travels. Just tell him he'll be as safe as President Bush would be driving around Tehran.

Two thoughts here:

1. Rudy Giuliani should announce that he will be there to personally try and prevent dinnerjackass from getting near Ground Zero. Think any New Yorkers would be up for joining him?

2. Ronald Reagan would never allow the Secret Service to protect a rabid dog like dinnerjackass. In fact, RR would insist that the iranian be strictly quarantined in the only areas he is entitled to visit.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) passed a resolution Thursday expressing concern about Israeli nuclear program.

The resolution called for the Middle East to be free from nuclear weapons.

The Egyptian-sponsored resolution was backed by 53 votes, with two against (from Israel and US) and 47 abstentions.

The resolution called on "all Middle East nations, pending the establishment of the nuclear weapons free zone, not to develop, produce, test or otherwise acquire nuclear weapons or permit the stationing on their territories or on territories under their control of nuclear weapons."
It also urged "nuclear-weapons states and all other states to render assistance in the establishment of the nuclear weapons free zone."
The IAEA has a tradition of adopting resolutions by consensus but the Middle East issue surfaced highly at the agency's general conference.

The conference approves broad policy lines for the 144-member IAEA, the verification arm of the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

Traditionally at the IAEA's general conference, Arab states introduce a resolution on the Israeli nuclear threat

From NRO Stephen Spruiell @ The Corner:

...former U.S. ambassador to the U.N. John Bolton told National Review Online this morning that the U.S. would be well within its rights as host country to limit Ahmadinejad's travel:

Under the U.N. participation act and our commitment as the host country, we have agreed going back to the beginning of the U.N. to let any head of state or any country that's a member of the U.N. send its officially accredited leaders and diplomats in to participate in U.N.-related activities. That's a pain in the neck, frankly, but that's part of the price of being the host country.

What we never gave up was the right to limit their travel outside of Turtle Bay and wherever their hotel happens to be. [The Iranians] will try to raise a fuss about that. I'm sure the visit was nothing but propaganda.

Set-up one standard FEMA trailer on the UN's grounds, toss in a case of Pork & Beans® and politely tell the SoB, 'Enjoy your stay.'

Again, if we want to get technical, USSS was established under the Treasury Dept. because it's original mission was to investigate financial crime (fake currency). However, my original comment is that the President can DIRECTLY control it's operations since it is in the executive branch. Pardon me for my obtuse thought, but I'm a believer in the unitary executive theory of constitutional interpretation. Unless Congress directly says otherwise through concrete legislation duly signed by the President (or overruled by a 2/3 vote over a veto), the President has FULL control over the Executive branch agencies, including the USSS.

According to a December 2001 memo buried in the files of the National Security Agency, obtained by the commission, Iranian officials instructed their border inspectors not to place Iranian or Afghan stamps in the passports of Saudi terrorists traveling from Osama bin Laden's training camps through Iran. Such "clean" passports undoubtedly helped the 9/11 terrorists pass into the United States without raising alarms among U.S. Customs and visa officials, sources familiar with the report told NEWSWEEK.

OK, I've done my patriotic duty - I've e-mailed each of my two US Senators and I've e-mailed President Bush requesting that if the President of Iran is allowed to visit NYC, it should be without US Secret Service protection and, indeed, he should not be allowed to visit Ground Zero at all.
If y'all take the time I did to write to those folks, maybe we can get something brewing.
This is the text of my letter to one of my Senators:

"Dear Senator Burr: I have read in numerous places that the President of Iran, when he attends the UN General Assembly meeting in New York City, intends to also visit Ground Zero, DESPITE the refusal of the NYPD to protect him, DESPITE the Mayor's refusal to allow him to visit and despite condemnations by Sen. Hillary Clinton (honest!) and yet will still receive US Secret Service Protection to visit this hallowed ground? While I was born in North Carolina, I lived and worked in Manhattan, NYC for several years, and was there during 9/11/01. I've also hear both Gen. Petreaeus and Ambassador Crocker talking, UNDER OATH, about how Iran is arming those in Iraq who are using those arms to kill US Troops.
Who has any authority to question the obligation of the US Secrect Service to guard him should he in fact decided to visit the hallowed ground of Ground Zero. Can you PLEASE do anything at all about this? Any help - such as calling President Bush - or the head of the US Secret Service would be greatly appreciated and remembered. That man - who's nation President Bush has called a terrorist state - should NEVER be allowed anywhere near Ground Zero. I know that Ground Zero is in New York, Senator, but this is an issue that I believe affects AMERICANS from every State.
Again, your help in preventing him from vistiting Ground Zero will be very much appreciated. Thank you for you time and efforts in this matter."

All the buildings surrounding Ground Zero should fly huge protest banners. So that if the creep does make it over there, any video taken for the news will have to have patriotic American, anti-Iran sentiment in it.
A huge "We Will Not Submit" for starters. In persian and English and any other pertinent language.

I haven't gotten all the way through the thread yet, so if this has already been proposed, then just consider me seconding the motion.

Question:

Does the Secret Service have the authority to arrest US citizens who may peacefully protest/interfere with this action?

If so, where could they hold them? Would it be in federal facilities?

I can understand that Dinnerjacket would be allowed at the UN, which is international territory. However, the rest of the US, including Ground Zero, is not. How is it that a terrorism enabler and promoter is allowed to wander NYC? How is it that one of the people who STARTED the modern Islamist war against the West (via his participation in the 1978 hostage taking) would be allowed to get the pictures for his 2008 Ramadan cards at Ground Zero? I certainly hope that New Yorkers who are there (speaking as one who is not) do not allow this.

They also killed Americans in the Beirut barracks, Khobar Towers and US forces in Iraq. The mad midget personally held US hostages in Iran.

We are too busy pointing our finger at the other side. Starts off as a method in which to divert attention to our own terrible mistakes and bankrupt missteps-steps.
Having said that if we were to take a good honest look in the mirror this presidency is becoming a mirror image of those moonbat lefties supposed leaders we so love to mock!

Today we laugh that Hamas is a friend of carter yet Condi Rice flies into Israel making statements on how her administration will not let down the poor of Gaza which tells the world once again Israel is the bad guy. HOW CAN WE SHUT THE POWER ON STARVING PEOPLE. (yet we blink and blame her because she is State knowing she is an emissary of George Bush and the US led quartet) And look, now even our conservative friends differentiate between Hamas and Fatah..Al Aqsa, etc. (when for the love of G-d they know damn well there is no difference!) Yah, we love Rudy but we forget what he said Giuliani: Hamas or Abbas, It Makes No Difference Wed, Apr 25, 2007.

As far as I am concerned Ahmadinejad does what he does because he can. Forgive my grossness but a dog can lick his balls for the very same reason Ahmadinejad gives us the finger. ON OUR SOIL! On the soil of the strongest nation in the world.

Sadly, we lost our way because our leader lost his. We can lay the blame looking the other way til hell frezzes over and nothing will change this.
Now we pay in 08.
If there is an 08 that is. Time we stop the inane haughtiness and concentrate how we can regain who we once were.

In October 2000, a senior operative of Hezbollah visited Saudi Arabia to coordinate activities there. He also planned to assist individuals in Saudi Arabia in traveling to Iran during November. A top Hezbollah commander and Saudi Hezbollah contacts were involved.122

Also in October 2000, two future muscle hijackers, Mohand al Shehri and Hamza al Ghamdi, flew from Iran to Kuwait. In November, Ahmed al Ghamdi apparently flew to Beirut, traveling-perhaps by coincidence-on the same flight as a senior Hezbollah operative. Also in November, Salem al Hazmi apparently flew from Saudi Arabia to Beirut.123

In mid-November, we believe, three of the future muscle hijackers, Wail al Shehri, Waleed al Shehri, and Ahmed al Nami, all of whom had obtained their U.S. visas in late October, traveled in a group from Saudi Arabia to Beirut and then onward to Iran. An associate of a senior Hezbollah operative was on the same flight that took the future hijackers to Iran. Hezbollah officials in Beirut and Iran were expecting the arrival of a group during the same time period. The travel of this group was important enough to merit the attention of senior figures in Hezbollah.124

Later in November, two future muscle hijackers, Satam al Suqami and Majed Moqed, flew into Iran from Bahrain. In February 2001, Khalid al Mihdhar may have taken a flight from Syria to Iran, and then traveled further within Iran to a point near the Afghan border.125

I was in Brussels on 9/11...I went to the protest, although a little late. It was a pathetic turn out...even after all the hoopla...practically nobody showed up (just about maybe 100 people out of all of Europe!)

DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN N.Y.!

The last time I was in N.Y., there was a parade by a bunch of Muslims (not this last Muslim day parade) and not ONE New Yorker even bothered to look up at them! Disgusting! Totally apathetic.

I can't go this time but if I was anywhere near N.Y. I'd be there and I'd surely get arrested!

Our weakness only emboldens the entire Muslim world. It's truly survival of the fittest and ANY means possible to defeat them is O.K. in my book.

IMO, best to show strength of purpose in all regards when 'communicating' with terrorist enablers.

Among others who got caught in that ugly rift, Reaganite, Ann, Sarah D, EW(1)SG, Swampwoman (and Swampman) are great people. I personally know this for a fact.

Each and every one of them helped LGF and the LGF community grow and prosper (and not just by posting here). That is a fact.

The events leading up to their banning from LGF by Charles (who, AFAIK, each of them considered a friend) was not simply a case of these good people suddenly and inexplicably turning on their friend and saying libelous and untrue things about a man for whom they had great respect and affection for no reason. 412 Is it me?  Thu, Sep 20, 2007 11:43:50am

Ye gods!
There isn't enough brain bleach in the universe for this one!

The first rule of war is: know thine enemy.
What does Dinnerjacket have to gain from either going to Ground Zero or to threaten to do so?
Propaganda
So who is this propaganda being aimed at?
That depends on whether he is aiming at a home market or America.

If he is stopped from going to Ground Zero to "pay his respects" (no matter who the "respects" are going to) then you come off as the bad guys. He would probably call you uncivilised (I know - but remember he is an awful hypocrite).
If he goes to Ground Zero and is met by violence the same applies (and he gets to perch on what, in his mind anyway, is the moral high ground.

Remember, he has a mind like a maze - up is down, black is white, day is night - and vice versa. He can twist anything and say contradictory things in the same speech and it all makes sense to him.

He should be met with demonstrations at the UN and Ground Zero that are non-violent (remember the Cops lost a lot of their colleagues on 9/11, please do not make this any harder for them) but that will be understood not only in the West but also in the muslim world.
Any placards ideally should be in English, Farsi and Arabic (don't know if this is even possible) the contents should be short and to the point. (eg 9/11 - never forgotten, never forgiven/X number of innocent people from X number of countries murdered byX - you get my drift)
Prominent US and Israeli flags (that should rile him)
Pictures of those who died in the Twin Towers with something like "murdered" written underneath.
The shoe thing seems to be a common insult but should be done in such a way that the SService/cops cannot interpret it as a threat or potential assault (that way if Dinnerjackets goons try to get the cops to arrest anyone they can be told that it isn't illegal UNDER AMERICAN LAW, the cops would probably love that)
If he starts talking - LAUGH. Remember in Islam there is no humour and no fun. The look on his face should be a picture! As far as I know, laughing in NY is not a crime but he's going to hate it, I bet no one gets to laugh at him at home.

His speech, if he makes one, should be interesting: would he insult you on your own soil knowing he has diplomatic immunity?
Would he make a friendship speech (probably meaning at least two things at the same time) to try and stave off the war cloud that is gathering, but recant it when he reaches home?
He could lecture you. How you must stop warmongering, how peaceful Islam is (remember his speech in Kabul recently) and how your only hope is to follow the true path (blaaach) etc etc etc.

Study what he has been saying, and threatening recently, there are plenty of good brains on this site, and come up with a good strategy.
Civil, non-violent opposition coupled with your own propoganda trump card, one that with any luck he can't twist to suit his own agenda.

That's my twopennyworth.

This has made me feel physically sick and enraged all at the same time - and I'm not even American. Good luck

Although thousands of pounds of pork products being hurled in his direction would be an amzing sight - I'd rather see tens of thousands of proud patriots stand silently together and prevent his entrance, or better yet, turn their backs on him in unison.

While singing 'God Bless America' and the National Anthem. Cool.

If we have no diplomatic ties with Iran, on what grounds is the U.S. secret service obligated to provide protection for "Mini-Hitler"?

Can we declare him persona non-grata? Especially in light of evidence that he had involvement in the Iranian hostage crisis?

416 FishFearMe  Thu, Sep 20, 2007 11:58:17am

I am as pissed off about this as anybody. However, I have done my small part to express my utter DISGUST regarding this matter. I emailed Mayor Bloomberg and called both Senators from Maine. BTW, the ladies that answered the phone is each senator's office kinda got a kick out of me calling the guy "Imadinnerjacket" Just sayin'.

Giuliani:

Under no circumstances should the NYPD or any other American authority assist President Ahmadinejad in visiting Ground Zero. This is a man who has made threats against America and Israel, is harboring bin Laden's son and other al-Qaeda leaders, is shipping arms to Iraqi insurgents and is pursuing the development of nuclear weapons. Assisting Ahmadinejad in touring Ground Zero - hallowed ground for all Americans - is outrageous."

430 Arbalest  Thu, Sep 20, 2007 12:29:59pm

I dislike the idea that President Ahmadinejad will be allowed to visit Ground Zero. A lot.

It may be that there is no way to legally stop his visit.

But there are many who visit Ground Zero every day and make fools themselves. Ground Zero survives anyway.

It seems that there might be a counter-protest.

Perhaps there is some small value in allowing President Ahmadinejad to safely visit Ground Zero and then return to the UN.

Is he truly a religious man, someone who really believes in the God of Abraham?

Perhaps having several hundred demonstrators suddenly display selected pictures while President Ahmadinejad is at Ground Zero would be valuable.

You know, cover with a newspaper, flash when the appropriate people are looking.

The pictures (at least 8”x10”, from a hi-res color printer) should fit on a 20”x30” foam board, 1 or 2, per board. Add a layer of plastic wrap, as a tear-away, in case of paint. No excuse not to see.

Add captions in English and Farsi, 1” thick letters, 5” high, so they can be read at 100 yards. No excuse to not understand.

Alternate which language is on top, so photo crops will not be easy.

I suspect that showing pictures of people jumping from the Towers might be considered in poor taste or wrong, but some have been publicly released. Perhaps this is one of the times that the pictures should be displayed.

Perhaps displaying some pictures of girls hanged by Iranian Authorities might be appropriate (display name, age, and crime that this girl was a victim of, in English and Farsi).

Perhaps President Ahmadinejad would benefit from knowing exactly what happened at Ground Zero, before he says or does anything there.

If he sees pictures of the victims at Ground Zero once he’s out of his motorcade, he will then need to explain his behavior from then on.

It would be useful to ask him, after visiting Ground Zero, about his policies and actions concerning nuclear weapons, Iran’s nuclear program, terrorism, etc.

It would be enormously useful to be able to do this for the next 4 or 5 years.

Perhaps President Ahmadinejad would benefit from knowing exactly what happened at Ground Zero, so he can consider / reconsider if. he wants to support / associate with the perpetrators.

Does President Ahmadinejad really want to buy into their guilt?

The God of Abraham is neither bound nor fooled by the sayings of a man. He sees all, and everyone, including President Ahmadinejad and the mullahs, knows this.

Make sure that at least 10 video cameras with zoom lenses are constantly recording everything from a distance, so no detail is missed. Add another 10 up close. Getting plenty of footage, from several angles, of who does what is probably a good idea

If nothing else, President Ahmadinejad will carry the memories of what he saw and what he said and did, forever.

If he truly is a religious man, one who really believes in the God of Abraham, then these events will continually weigh upon him.

You seem like a really good person, but I have a question for you:

That man has often denied the facts of the genocide of the Jews in the Holocaust, and even more often wishes for the annihilation of Israel - another genocide of the Jews. Do you actually think guilt is an issue with him?

If he truly is a religious man, one who really believes in the God of Abraham, then these events will continually weigh upon him.

Not within the realm of possibility.

Oh, it wouldn't hurt to briefly tell them you're calling from out of state to stand by New York, since you can't be there when Iran's president tries to visit Ground Zero, to keep up the good reporting, and tell them others ARE coming to New York to stand against this travesty. This may make its way up the ladder into the news - each little bit helps.

#433 LittleOldLady

. . . . Do you actually think guilt is an issue with him? . . .

Thanks for the vote

It is difficult to tell if guilt will work, because the culture behind Islam is shame-oriented, not guilt-oriented.

But continually reminding President Ahmadinejad of what he saw, and what he did there, his loudly-professed faith in the God of Abraham and that the God of Abraham sees all, and is not fooled, will eventually cause him to face some hard truths. I think that Islam is unable to provide the answers that he will need.

Perhaps President Ahmadinejad will change a bit, who knows? Perhaps this will buy us time in dealing with Iranian nuclear weapons, Iranian sponsorship of terrorism and perhaps a few more items of interest.

In any event, if we are to have a media event, let us have a media event where:

- The Deciders do not decide what is news worthy or what parts will be shown and what parts hidden
- The Troofers are shown to be ‘tards, uneducated, unwashed and unemployable
- The shame of Al Qaeda having to skulk about and hijack civilian airliners containing women and children (and an infant, IIRC) to strike civilian buildings (instead of mounting up and doing battle with armed soldiers), is exposed again
- The Democrats are shown to have failed to protect the American People (and we have pictures of the results)

Since it looks like President Ahmadinejad will make the visit, I can think of nothing better than flashing large pictures with captions in English and Farsi, and letting him, the MSM and the rest of the fools spend the next few years trying to spin responses.

This might be one of the ways that ideas are bumrushed to the scrapheap of history. Let’s find out.

re: #424 Dianna

It came back up again.

I think you know my view point. I believe strongly in self reflection, putting aside all personal wants/desires and seeing oneself. Sometimes a person has to choose if they want to grow or whither. Sometimes a person needs to acknowledge they acted badly, state it publicly, apologies and seek reconciliation. reaganite and friends only got worse and have never reflected, never saw what they look like and never made amends for really bad behavior. When they reached their point of no return they really let the vitriol fly; full of surmises and baseless meanness. As for people being caught up, they should know who they are as individuals and not follow boorishness as sheeple.
